Don't tell people to invest in Bitcoin.

It's a risky investment and nobody is able to know if the price is going up or down
Ofc people here are all enthusiasts with this new tech, but the 2017 December's price means nothing.

BTC is already expensive now compared to 2016 for example.

Definitely. Just tell people about bitcoin; and if they figure out themselves how useful it is, they'd decide on their own. The last thing you would want is people blaming you because you told them to invest in something that they know nothing about, and that has crashed in price.

Story time! At around bitcoin's peak, a few friends of mine(ex friends) are telling their friends to invest in bitcoin(and some, xrp) because "we will be rich soon!". Boy we all know how that ended. That friendship group sure got split into a couple of smaller groups.
12562  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [ASK] What Is The First Bitcoin Wallet That Didn't Require Full Node? on: April 05, 2019, 02:59:43 PM
Based on my 10 minutes of Googling, though I don't know if this is the first light wallet, it definitely looks like one of the oldest: MyBitcoin[1]. Unfortunately based on what I've read, it looks like they did a sort of exit scam sometime in 2011.

Your stupid, coinmarketcap is posting fake volume, DO NOT USE COINMARKETCAP
Thank you for that, do you have any other sites to recommend besides coinmarketcap? This is the only site that I always check in with the market price movement of the crypto listed on it. Anyway, what's best is that you can still add some info with the post. I will be more than happy if you do.

Some quite new marketcap sites that I've been hearing good things of:

Your stupid, coinmarketcap is posting fake volume, DO NOT USE COINMARKETCAP
Do you actually have any backup proofs for your insane stupidity claims or you just like to trash talk>?

Not necessarily that coinmarketcap is posting fake volume on purpose, it's just that there are a lot of rumors about most of the current exchanges we have right now having fake exchange volume; and well, those exchanges that have allegedly fake volume are included in coinmarketcap's price metrics.
12565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is keeping COSS for long term Good Idea?? on: April 04, 2019, 03:59:02 PM
COSS has ben very very bad in the past. So far, it looks like the platform is improving, but it's still quite bad. Should you still hold it? Probably, if you think they're going to improve and if exchange volume actually comes and goes up some time in the future. It's pretty much a gamble, and a very risky one. Pretty much a coin flip in my opinion.
12566  Economy / Speculation / Re: The good thing about having a bad market condition! on: April 04, 2019, 03:33:42 PM
Well that's one. But you know what I like about the bear market? Most bitcoin and cryptocurrency communities are more focused on development and adoption rather than posting a lot of those price prediction posts and useless and redundant topics like "wat hapen to ze market y beetcoin prize up?". Recently we've been going back to the latter type of posts again.

Short term? Maybe, maybe not. As always, with any other coins/tokens, do your own reserach tsaka ka magdecide kung worth it bang ihold tong mga ito. Basically, iba iba ang opinions ng mga tao dito sa mga coins na to so it's best to rely on your own knowledge.
12568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Have Question About Bitcoin Wallet! on: April 04, 2019, 01:03:36 PM
I'm pretty sure there's no way to know, unless the person who has access did a transaction.

It looks like that. But I want to buy it somewhere. Or I'll create an order who can.
I would heavily suggest against this. For you to ask someone to make one, they'd need to have access to the private keys. aaaand that's something you definitely don't want to give access to anyone.
12569  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Help] About trading in Binance on: April 04, 2019, 07:36:18 AM

Yes pretty much. Mas madali nga itrack. Pag BTC/Altcoin kasi, ittrack mo ung price ng altcoin, at the same time, ittrack mo rin price ng BTC. Bali dalawa.
12570  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best place to sell a little bitcoin on: April 04, 2019, 06:47:26 AM
Depends how "low". Though if you really don't want to submit any KYC, personally, I'd probably look for reputable buyers and sellers on the Marketplace[1] instead.

12571  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Help] About trading in Binance on: April 04, 2019, 06:01:36 AM
so mas maganda ba sir na mag trade ako ng BNB/USDT instead of BNB/BTC para mas makita ko ung pag taas ni BNB?

Completely up to you. If you use BTC to buy your BNB, then track your profits through BNB/BTC. If you use USDT or PHP->BTC to buy BNB, then track your profits through BNB/USDT. Completely depends on what currency na ginamit mo bumili ng BNB. Makikita mo parin naman ang pagtaas ng BNB kahit BTC ang gamitin mong pambili. Note na tumataas at bumababa rin ang presyo ng BTC, so ung BNB/BTC price e mas volatile.
12572  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready for lots of negative articles on bitcoin on: April 04, 2019, 05:25:34 AM
Really? It's all over the news, Development & Technical Discussion Board last April 1 and later on Bitcoin Discussion.
Here's one: Softfork proposal for minimum price of $50k USD/BTC
That's one gag by LukeDashJr, and I was aware of it, but the joke about an ETF being accepted though? Haven't heard of it on any social media at all.

And there I was expecting for a correction then suddenly people got fooled by an April Fools joke! Boom $5k.
I'm pretty sure it's because of that joke, otherwise, it's a well-timed Pump.
I really don't think people are that stupid(I hope I'm right). Just a huge coincidence in my opinion. Because if the pump was because of the prank, I assume the prices would've gone back down now.
12573  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Useful Application that you can use in a computer/PC. on: April 04, 2019, 02:09:42 AM
Your title and the introductory part of your topic are kind of confusing that's people are not getting well what you are trying to put across.
Honestly, I too did not understand the purpose of the post so.

Basically OP is suggesting installing Google Authenticator on your computer device via an android emulator as an alternative to Google Authenticator on your smartphone. I'd definitely still go with a smartphone though. It's a good alternative, but I'd advise against this if you have a smartphone due to security reasons.
12574  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ | Up to 0.0375 BTC/week on: April 04, 2019, 01:51:18 AM
Someone like me who has relied on his life in this forum will not be able to eat if he can't get bitcoin on a regular basis, especially someone like me is not good at investing or trading. Following a campaign is the only way to get bitcoin so that everyday life can be fulfilled.   Grin Grin Grin

That still isn't a valid reason on why you should have special privileges on joining this campaign instead of fairly competing with other applicants. This is a signature campaign, not a charity. If Bitcointalk is your sole income, then chances are, the problem is on you.
12575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready for lots of negative articles on bitcoin on: April 04, 2019, 01:47:38 AM
We already have. Watch the recent videos on CNBC Crypto; some of the hosts are saying that BTC rose in price due to an April fools joke whereas people are saying that a Bitcoin ETF has been accepted. Like what the hell, I haven't even heard of that April fools gag here on Bitcointalk or on Reddit.
12576  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Help] About trading in Binance on: April 04, 2019, 01:44:49 AM

Nahirapan akong iexplain to pero sana nagets mo.  Cheesy
12577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My transaction made by my self still pending please help. on: April 04, 2019, 01:36:12 AM
The 5sat/byte fee you've chosen would've been fine and would be confirmed a lot faster if you did this transaction around a month ago. As we speak though, there are currently 66013 unconfirmed transactions, so that fee definitely wouldn't suffice unless you're planning on waiting for a while. Or if you need it to get confirmed asap, pay more fees through the ViaBTC link BitMaxz shared.

12578  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to gain trust of users on a new free crypto website? on: April 04, 2019, 01:33:18 AM
The best thing you could probably do is to put your site online, market it a bit, and wait for it to gain organic trust. If people will be really able to withdraw their crypto, then I think they'd trust your site, unless it's ponzi scheme-ish.

As for raising money, I really don't think you're going to get any investors for such a site. Completely depends on how you're going to gain funds for your users though.

Lastly, I think you should move this to the Service Discussion[1] forum.

Is there a site like the site above to buy others with Bitcoins exactly like the site above

It's been a while since I've visited Satoshibox.com so I'm not 100% if I remember how the site works, but something like Selly[1] should be enough if you're planning on selling something. And yes, Bitcoin is accepted.

12580  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Error 502 Bad Gateway on satoshibox.com on: April 03, 2019, 03:07:34 PM
It's down for me too. Satoshibox has been up and down since months ago I think, so I don't think this is really anything new.

If you're curious if a website is actually down for everyone, you can use sites like isthissitedown.net
