12584  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: August 04, 2015, 08:33:27 AM
Can anyone advice me Why my activity currently stopped. What am I doing wrong cannot able to predict my posts are 317 and still my activity stand still on 140. What is wrong with that?

It's normal , the next activity reset is today then after that it's 18 August etc ...
Basically you get a maximum of 14 Activity per 14 days (2 weeks) period , It doesn't matter if you have 1000 posts because the activity is just 14 per two weeks .

12586  Economy / Services / Re: Need someone buy a domain for me on: August 04, 2015, 07:03:59 AM
Need someone who can buy a domain for my using his paypal. Will pay in btc. Im ready to pay 2$ extra as bonus.

Please trusted member contact me.

Do you offer same thing for Credit cards too ?? , I have Neteller .
If it's GoDaddy I won't be able to do it though because they never accept my CC or Bank account idk why , also you have NameCheap.com that accepts BTC directly Grin
12587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 04, 2015, 06:35:07 AM
I just bought few btc worth around $120, The transaction was instant but conformation took 5 minutes. It depends on how much fees you give too, Like if you are buying a car worth $100 K you can certainly pay $1 or $2 for the fees and then see how quickly you get the conformation too. It is not a problem people should understand this by now if we want to go mainstream Wink Cheesy

Well I know about that , and I could even pay 10$ for such big amounts when I buy a car or a house or something that is expensive but that's why I'am speaking about little stuff like lunch at McDonald or paying the parking ticket because they are little amount and if u add big fees it's just like you are losing money .

I mean if you want to buy something from McDonald are you supposed to wait 15mn while that's the time of your launch break ?
No, you're not. You're comparing apples and pears.

Maybe this clarifies things:

Transaction time (the time it takes to process a payment)
Bitcoin: 1-2 sec
Credit card: 3-5 sec

Money arrival time (the time at which the merchant actually receives the money and can spend it)
Bitcoin: 1-2 sec
Credit card: several business days

Confirmation time (the time at which the merchant can be sure the payment won't be reversed)
Bitcoin: 10 minutes
Credit card: 6+ months

So, what was the problem with Bitcoin, again?

I'am not supporting Credit cards to be honest and I love bitcoin however CC is reversible indeed but ... there is no double spend like on BTC if it doesn't get verified .
and imagine if the transaction don't get verified at all for a reason or another , it will end up going back to the buyer which will make the seller losing money .
12588  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Definitive list of sites Accepting Bitcoin?!? on: August 03, 2015, 07:05:27 PM
I guess you should rename "Starbucks" to "Gift cards" though .
Why?

Well the websites you mentioned aren't for Starbucks only mate . They are for all websites that offer gift cards including Google Play , ITunes etc ..  so I'am not sure why you would say it's for starbucks
12589  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Definitive list of sites Accepting Bitcoin?!? on: August 03, 2015, 06:28:42 PM
I guess why not , making a list would be helpful for users around here . I guess you should rename "Starbucks" to "Gift cards" though .
Also , you should add NameCheap.com for buying domains using BTC .
12590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: August 03, 2015, 05:31:35 PM
Could this be the reason , It's like 15-20mn to get at least 1 confirmation if I'am correct ?
Anyway the point is that we need some time to get transactions verified , could this actually prevent us from going to mainstream ?  I mean if you want to buy something from McDonald are you supposed to wait 15mn while that's the time of your launch break ?

When you are buying parking tickets are you also supposed to wait few minuts ?  Huh It wouldn't make any sense .

Honestly , I'am not even sure what controls the speed of the transactions .
12591  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoins with creditcard on: August 03, 2015, 04:44:52 PM
Thanks!
Is there any other / easyer solution?
I will search for them

Like what man , Virwox seems the easiest to me .
If you have a Credit card from a famous company like Neteller or Payoneer (mostly Neteller) then you could definitely trade it on Currency exchange with people , faster then light . a lot of people accept Neteller as payment method .

Full List of website : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_To_Buy_Bitcoins_With_Your_Credit_Card
Read the warning carefully though
12592  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoins with creditcard on: August 03, 2015, 04:31:50 PM
hi everyone,

i am searching for a site where i can buy bitcoins with my creditcard.
Do you know any site i can trust?

Thanks

Yes , there is some of them .I'd suggest Virwox.com however you should know that there is some high fees (not sure if you could handle them) and there is limits on buying unless you upgrade on level with time . IF you can't wait go to Digital goods section on Bitcointalk and search for a Level 3 Virwox account .
12593  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: C# - Give me few project ideas ? on: August 03, 2015, 11:55:52 AM
You could also do an altcoin trade bot. Could be pretty straightforward.

I appreciate giving the suggestion however I'am not that much into Alternative coins , and BOTS that I see around seem to be very advanced and hard to use so I can't imagine how hard to code it is .
12594  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about what Satoshi said ? on: August 03, 2015, 11:50:21 AM
that with other 4 halving we will have the verdict about the future of bitcoin, because mining supply would not affect anymore the price since the reward will be very tiny

he said that quote in 2010 btw, so he was aiming at 2030 which is two years after the 5° halving

Right sorry I was counting from the creation of Bitcoin which Is 2009  Lips sealed AND ACCORDING to this : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Controlled_supply we should be at the final halving block reward on 2021 then it stays 6.25 BTC
the only thing that we should be afraid of is miners leaving mining I guess ? I mean if price don't increase miners farms won't just waste their money and shutdown or switch to an Altcoin
12595  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think BiPolarBob is crazy ?? - share with us the help he gave to you on: August 03, 2015, 11:03:13 AM
I don't think BiPolarBob is a scammer. He even tells us not to trust him in multiple posts. What kind of scammer tells you to watch out for him? Then again, anything is possible, but I think that BiPolarBob is a nice guy.

Double bluff? I don't think he's a scammer either but it's not uncommon for scammers to try give people a false sense of security or make out like they're doing a good thing or are a good person when their motives are the opposite. Seen a few scammers on here make out like they're scam busters themselves which they do to try get feedback or appear trustowrthy.

It's not the case for him , that's for sure . He gave shitload of things , he probably gets 5 pages each time he make Steam wallet of 20$ then ask people to send to charity .
1 Page contains 20 posts , 20$ x 100 (5 pages) = 2000$ per giveaway if not more . He probably gave more then 15k $ or even more (Amazon giveaways , Bitcoin giveaways , steam etc .. )  . so unless he make +15k $ transaction (escrow will most likely be used doesn't matter his trust) he won't be able to scam anyone .

TLDR; BiPolarBob is not a scammer .
12596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SEPA Works outside Europe ? on: August 03, 2015, 10:56:18 AM
I see and it also make sense I guess ... but won't take a flight to make a bank account that's for sure , don't have money to waste ;
Well thanks & I gues I will keep dealing with the traditional stuff , Neteller etc ... Grin
12597  Economy / Economics / What do you think about what Satoshi said ? on: August 03, 2015, 10:32:31 AM
In Feb. 14, 2010 Satoshi Nakamoto said : I’m sure that in 20 years there will either be very large (bitcoin) transaction volume or no volume.

Current transactions volume : https://blockchain.info/fr/charts/n-transactions

What do you think about what Satoshi said and how it's going to be in 2029 . As we can see on the Blockchain.info chart volume seems to be increasing with the time however it doesn't seem to be enough , it's not that big ...
12598  Economy / Trading Discussion / SEPA Works outside Europe ? on: August 03, 2015, 09:52:49 AM
I still didn't make my bank account however I will soon and it will be BNP PARIBAS.
I just want to know if I will be able to use SEPA on paying people or it's impossible unless I'am in Europe. BNP PARIBAS have some of their banks in my country. so not sure if I will be able to use that feature just because I have account on that bakn or I should have bank account + be in Europe. GRACIAS
12599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which celebrity do you think will be the best advocator for Bitcoin? on: August 03, 2015, 08:31:01 AM
The most famous of course for footballers I'd say Lionel Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo , for actors there is planty of them but  I'd say The Rock , Vin Diesel or Jason Statham , just someone who have shitload of followers on Social media , a simple share about something speaking about Bitcoin is enough to make people explore it and read more about it .
12600  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: August 03, 2015, 08:24:16 AM
