12581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you think is the world’s bitcoin center? on: August 11, 2015, 06:02:33 PM
yes, where is the center of this decentralized network?

Yes. Bitcoin is global and decentralized. There is and never will be a center other than the center of the Earth.

thinking about this for a bit, in the remote case, a very distant future with a good colonization, bitcoin may be seen as a centralized from other population that live in other planets, at least at first, before that enough satellites are deployed to redirect internet all over the other worlds

in this sense bitcoin will be centralized for a good amount of time
12582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin core, Bitcoin xt, forks left right and centre, Where do i stand? on: August 11, 2015, 05:57:54 PM
nah just hold, yes there is the possibility of a tiny drop because of the fork but i don't believe it will be big enough to tempt you to sell before and buy after for big profit

i would suggest to not do anything and update when everything will be settled
12583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Urgent need of Bitcoin need help... on: August 11, 2015, 11:31:47 AM
he is talking about earning, so i doubt he want to buy this one bitcoin, there is no fast way to do it besides maybe trading if you're good enough or borrow money from someone, but without a hero account i'm not sure how you can handle the collateral...

i would avoid pure gambling ways, which include hyip, ponzi dice games and so on...
12584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I mined a Bitcoin in Minecraft on: August 11, 2015, 10:32:53 AM
it's an old news, and also not so profitable, i believe there are better game that let you have bitcoin, maybe not directly, like those that use Hypercoin

with hyper you can play minecraft and earn those hypercoin that you can convert in bitcoin, with a better earning, also there are more game like counter strike, that provide a good earning overall, much better than any faucet for example...

Did you not see the images he posted?

the title was misleading i thought that he was mining with that thing created in the minecraft world, not my fault, next time OP should post the right title without us trying to resolve the puzzle to catch what he want to say
12585  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 11, 2015, 10:09:12 AM

california is just too expensive to live.

the rent cost for a average area is $1,300- almost 2,000 depending on how many rooms. The living expense also is not the same, some people actually are forced to go to soup kitchens to pick up extra food.

Since they dont entirely qualify for ebt cards aka food stamps.

so I think living in California wouldn't be easy for all who have to rent out unless they already own a house there so they could ease up a bit regarding the $1,300- almost 2,000 you mentioned

It soo expensive,
in Indonesia you can rent a room, with only $ 400 per year, it was very cheap
are you serious? Dude, do you know if i could move to indonesia? Cheesy
Here in philippines you can rent a room with only 0.1 btc per month, and its only 1.2btc per year, so cheap than indonesia so you can went here and rent a room. LOL Cheesy

what kind of room we are talking about? those room with cockroaches and all sort of unimaginable animal inside it, without hot water and so on?

and anyway i should also love the place first of all before even bothering at looking at the price...substantially one can live with $500 per month(with renting or akin stuff) if he is alone and does not expect too much from his life
12586  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation Would KILL Bitcoin Dead on: August 11, 2015, 10:04:41 AM
Am i missing somehing? Who is going to change the cap?

On the other hand, they are just numbers. (bitcoins) You can double the bitcoin count, their value will stay the same for 2x coins. So what is the problem?

Think about this, they are just numbers.

the miners maybe, if the revenue of their whole mining farm will turn to dust with the next future halving, and with the possibility of bitcoin not growing as intended if this happen, maybe they could force to leave the already unprofitable block reward for a longer time by increasing the limit

basically a modify of the controlled supply, with the right consensus it can be made

If it is not profitable to mine bitcoins, they can always quit mining. I dont think anyone said them that mining will be %100 profitable.

Not profitable = gtfo. simple as that.

And i don't care if nobody would mine bitcoin because it is not profitable, let it die. Another Cryptocoin with much better specs will rise.

lol you can't simply say let it die when bitcoin is the most used crypto and will be used more in the future, what about all those merchants which will use it for their business? fuck that too?

this is a legitimate concern, miners must make profit must be incentivated to mine, otherwise this whole thing will collapse

12588  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will price start tanking? on: August 11, 2015, 07:36:41 AM
It's  not a fork yet but soon will be.
This will be one of the most devastating events in the history of bit coin. I can see it become a much bigger disaster than the whole MtGox drama tbh.
We could be looking at a value well under $100.

uhm there was already an hard fork in the past and that fork did not caused any damage to the price, actually there was a big bubble around it, i doubt the entity of this one is bigger than that because this is expected the old one was not

so no, 100 in value will not happen deal with it
12589  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: August 11, 2015, 07:30:23 AM
Quit my job and started working full-time for 100% pay in bitcoin starting in 2014. Best decision ever.

what service are you using for getting the payment in bitcoin, i know there is another member doing so with bitwage, are you take advantage of this too?

and ho do you pay taxes and bills, this is the hard part when someone want to follow your route, and because of this i think it can not be done at 100% for now
12590  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: where we can loan out btc? on: August 11, 2015, 07:28:24 AM
But the sites are plentiful outside these forums:  btcjam, btclend.org, and btclendingclub just to name a few.

I went to BTCJam just to have a look around. They ask for a lot of personal information which not everybody is comfortable giving away.

another reason why it's better to use the bitcointalk loan section instead of that garbage of btcjam, which is full of uncontrolled scammer, not matter the ranking

here you're more secured by scam buster and good escrow, moreover more valuable collateral
12591  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I make money trading on: August 11, 2015, 07:25:47 AM
It is easy to say buy low and sell high. When price is falling how long do you wait to buy,if at all. How do you know price has reached bottom and then to sell at peak? There is no absolute method.

you can't be 100% sure about this all the time even if you are a very experienced trader, the only thing is to compare the current trend with the old trends, if they share somethign similar you can expect an equal direction

also there are "forms" of the chart that can tell you soemthing like the double bottom or double top or two "shoulders one head"
12592  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Good Price per KWH for Mining? on: August 11, 2015, 07:19:30 AM
the maximum above which you are not profitable was around 0.11 with the s5, the most efficient, but this change with the diff of course

i would say that you should aim at 0.05 for a fast return of your investment, the lower the better this is obvious...
12593  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Need your guys opinion where to spend 600euros at on: August 11, 2015, 07:18:01 AM
you need to maximize your wattage usage, so you need to buy a combination of equipment that let you utilize the whole 1500

you can do some combination like two s5(but i doubt you can find two for less than 500...), which consume 1180 plus a slightly underclocked s3 which is probably less than 340, its maximum voltage without modification

or you can also do 4 x overcloked s3, which will cost you far less than 600, it seems the better option

12595  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Chia Seeds on: August 11, 2015, 07:11:43 AM
no one interested, i can lower to 10 euro if there is enough interest, but no more than that, they are already very cheap at this price
12596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitstamp hack confidential document has been leaked on: August 11, 2015, 07:11:00 AM
it is the reason why i would not give my ID ever to exchange, in the remote case that they are hacked, which isn't even so remote, because it happened, hacker can steal your identity and use it for malicious activity

it can be very dangerous
12597  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Banned bitcoin on: August 11, 2015, 07:02:57 AM
A country that bans bitcoin only hurts itself and it's own economy, it does not hurt bitcoin.

partially true, if every country ban and restrict heavily bitcoin, then it can have a bad effect on bitcoin also, because no one will be able to use it or exchange it for fiat, unless you are talking about a distant future where bitcoin is not dependent of fiat anymore
12598  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Just bought a butterfly labs jalapeno 10gh/s on: August 11, 2015, 07:01:44 AM
it isn't a good deal at all for the same price you can get something more valuable like a s1, which has x20 the hashrate for less consumption, still useless but much better option
12599  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bitcoin will appreciate forever on: August 10, 2015, 07:57:23 PM
Why do you want bitcoin to keep appreciating as it will cost more to purchase them?

you can simply buy less, which will have the same value as the same amount you are willing to buy now, the ratio will always be the same if you want, unless something stupid and unrealistic happens, like for example 1 satoshi = $1k...
