The shitcoins I really hate are the token spam that keep appearing in my wallet.

IDXE, ETU, OAS, TOS, Gene, WTE, MSC, LOVC, IHT, FEB, SEC, MST, VCT, TKT, BIZ, CBR, DRCT, ICC, DHT, 3DB, Drink, HPC, GRAM, IFOOD, FRES, LXT, ARP, DAG, EES, NC and LET.

All within the last week and thanks to the assholes at FCoin.

I think your blaming Bounty Hunters is misplaced. Bounty Hunters normally get 1% to 2% of the coins issued. 1% or 2% of the coins being sold after it gets listed is not going to tank the price. The most common source of selling is those that acquired their coins during the Private or Presale at a substantial discount. I have seen them get coins at a 100% discount to the Main Sale. They can sell those coins at half the price you paid and still make a profit.

Statistically 90% of business start ups fail within the first 5 years. When you are investing in ICO's you are investing in start ups so having a high rate of failure should be expected. You can increase your odds of success by doing proper due diligence and only investing in those ones where you have a high degree of confidence that they will be successful. I personally will screen on average about 50 different ICO's before I find one that I want to invest in.

"Best" is a subjective term. It would depend on what parameter you are judging them by. A coin that may be the best at one particular application might be a very poor model for doing something else. Also remember that the best technology does not all always equal winning. As VHS vs Betamax is but one example. Everyone keeps picking coins with really high market caps. Those are coins that have all made their big run ups and about the most you can realisticaly hope for is a double this year. If you want coins that have yet to make their run and have the potential to increase by multiples of their current value take a look at PROOF, OPEN, ICX, EFX and MFC

I would happily trade a whitepaper for a minimum viable product. Whitepapers only outline what they intend to do, not what they are capable of executing. Seen too many ICO's that end up coming to nothing because the people behind it fail to execute what is in their whitepaper. Actions speak louder than words.

It is because an exchange named FCoin is conducting voting on new listings by asking people to send a single token of the coin they want listed. You may have noticed a lot of small denomination tokens arriving in your wallet recently, those are people token spamming in the hopes of getting more votes. I have reported the Token Spam tokens to Etherscan and they said they would mark the Tokens as Spam if more people complained. You want lower fees and faster transactions? Complain to Etherscan and get these tokens blacklisted.

Bitconnect was a Ponzi scheme and Centra was a bunch of kids from Miami that were endorsed by a celebrity. A little bit of due diligence would probably have saved you from those 2 mistakes. When you are investing in an ICO you are investing in a start up. About 90% of non crypto start ups fail within the first 5 years. You have to expect a fairly high attrition rate if you are going to be investing in ICO's.

There are a few instances of Scam ICO's being pursued by legal authorities but they are usually only the real high profile ones. The difficulty is that laws and law enforcement tend to be country specific and the Scams work across international borders and the victims are spread all over the globe. The best advice is be very careful what you invest in because if it turns scam chances are you will never see that money again.

It has been caused by a spike in tranfers of Tokens that are trying to get listed on FCoin. To get listed on FCoin you need users to vote for you by transferring a single Token to FCoin. You may have also noticed a whole bunch of Tokens have arrived in your account recently that you never asked for. This Token Spam is caused by companies trying to get more people to vote for them. I have been reporting the Tokens that are Token Spamming to etherscan so that they will be marked as spam to try and discourage this behaviour. Etherscan told me if they get multiple complaints they will take action.
