1261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Profits for this cycle - have you taken them yet? on: March 22, 2014, 05:22:53 PM
From the past I've learned that at this point it's wise to lock in gains before it's too late and you end up chasing the rally.

This is exactly what im doing. I used to get mad if i didnt catch the absolute bottom but im learning to take profits and be happy with them. Especially this late in the capitulation, its just not worth it to possibly reap more profits

200TH/s is 0.5% of the network hash.

Going solo is it really a good idea?

Maybe stay at eligius, until maybe 1%.

I agree, going solo with less than a few % will give us bad luck. I think its better stick to a pool until we can confidently solo mine.

Labcoin did that too (they even posted pictures of chips!)

Wasn't the start of the unraveling? When the chips/boards were so blatantly and obviously fake?

Yup

Who is it that does the technical analysis here again? You views on a triple bottom at $400? I think we are definitely on our way to $540, likely by end of March.

I have been short since above $600 and still haven't fully bought back yet (but ask me again in an hour, I am constantly analyzing and reacting). Your call of $540 is pretty spot on. I think $550 will be tested as it would fall perfectly in line with the recent trendline, but we could definitely go lower short term. My mid-term predictions are very bullish and I'm expecting to see another exponential run-up in July-September based on my own analysis (Some of the best traders I know are expecting this as well).

What this has to do with ACTM - our buying power could very well increase on top of the network increases at this point. For example, if BTC price increases by 6x from here but the network hashrate only increases by 3x in that same time period then our buying power would effectively be doubled. Having 1200 BTC sitting there if we really do have production runs available is incredible. Seeing hashpower on our team is very exciting, but Labcoin did that too (they even posted pictures of chips!). Its hard to say what would "shut up the skeptics" as there is a clear divide in here between those who believe Ken and those who don't and I'm still not 100% sold. It's not like Ken to keep so quiet about even remotely amazing news. We dont even know the chip specs?

Wow, awesome...does anyone have a direct link to our team page on the pool? I am unable to find that with a quick search. We should start to see btc start picking up in our dividend address soon enough if testing is being done on that account

If you sign up and join Team AMC you can see the rates. Currently: 1,034.38 GH/s

First TH of hopefully many to come!

mind posting a screenshot for all of us that are too lazy?

Wonder when it will dawn on Active Miners to ask Ken for proof of money spent with eAsic.  Perhaps that's still under NDA...

This address is legit! I remember this being the address of "AMC-TENDER" on Bitfunder. Thank you Ken, please keep us updated on the shares. Even a simple verification process would cool alot of heads around here
1269  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 06, 2014, 09:34:06 PM
What on earth does that even mean? While I agree it would be trivial to write such a program, can you explain how an SHA256 ASIC could ever be used to break the encryption scheme used by Armory?

He's talking about the ability of SHA-256 machines to break SHA-256 encryption and decipher the Private Key from the Public Key. This is impossible even if the hashing power of the entire network X 1,000,000 was pointed at an address.
1270  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 06, 2014, 07:03:45 PM
Ken - Shareholder sentiment is at an all time low and legal action will inevitably be coming to suck us dry if you don't smarten up.
Maybe we can't trade right now but there are two things you can easily do right now to stop the constant bitching and whining in this thread if you so choose. (Its not just bitching and whining, we are ALL creating a pr stink in our circles and you will have no customers left)

1. Setup a site for us to input our timestamps, public address, email etc. so we can verify our shares. MSD investigation would not have happened if you had done this earlier like you promised. This is not a hard thing to do.

2. Give us the public address where the avalon refunds are sitting.
1271  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 06, 2014, 08:14:33 AM
Probability of break out in the next 4 hours: 55.6%

What's with everyone calling for a breakout right now? We just met the 3 month downtrend a couple days ago, and it takes a couple weeks to break out of a 3 month downtrend. It would make no sense on the chart if it just went up right now without any consolidation.

lol historically speaking betting against Adam = $$$. But I agree, the technicals need to be realigned and there needs to be a massive injection of cash to keep these levels up at the present time. Im going to call a bottom of $575 on Stamp before going back up
1272  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 06, 2014, 02:53:34 AM
The way I understand it VMC and AMC are two different entities.... So if VMC was to go bankrupt, would AMC still have it's assets and be able to continue building a mining farm for its shareholders? (I don't actually see this happening but would like to know the answer)

1273  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 04, 2014, 01:15:30 AM
So are we now able to see the proof of 55nm tapeout?

How was the "February" production run cancelled on the LAST days of the month?

My biggest concern here though would be money. Where on earth are we getting money to fund a 28nm chip if all the pre-order $ is being kept for refunds? We have apparently had coins lost on mtgox (the exact amount needs to be clarified), and IPO funds have been used on 2 different projects while we have 3 (if not more) people on salary. Shareholders need to see a detailed financial report and be able to trade shares soon or this is going to go downhill fast, it's already a PR disaster.

sidenote: I cant imagine a 28nm announcement would be such "good news" unless there is proof from a third party. The excuse of shareholders bugging our suppliers is no longer valid if Ken can't stick to a plan for more than a month.

1274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can someone explain how the price is so stable all of a sudden? on: February 28, 2014, 03:21:04 AM
lol wtf
1275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market sentiment short survey on: February 23, 2014, 06:20:49 PM
For Gox? Probably.

For most other exchanges, probably not.
1276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2014, 05:42:52 PM
WOW the wall at $130 has been eaten!

Double digits on gox are possible today
1277  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: February 20, 2014, 01:30:47 AM
What matters is the cost per GH to us.

Hopefully it will cost us a lot less than $1,500 to get 400 GH/S.
1278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About veterans/members on: February 19, 2014, 12:56:43 AM
Anybody who has been on this forum for more than a couple years should've made enough money off of BTC, ads would just be a nuisance with little monetary gain

1279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange dodgecoins for litecoins on: February 19, 2014, 12:52:20 AM
I exchanged DOGE for LTC at www.VaultofSatoshi.com yesterday actually!

its great because they have DOGE/USD instead of just DOGE/BTC like most exchanges

1280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox - To resume withdrawals Feb 20th - New ATH approaching on: February 19, 2014, 12:47:20 AM
I'm thinking that mtgox resuming withdrawals could be bearish for Stamp, btc-e etc..

I've been noticing since the gox collapse that every time it has a slippage spike a 100BTC+ sell wall appears on Bitstamp. There's never been a better opportunity to get "worthless" fiat out of gox buying bitcoins for half price and selling them on stamp (if BTC withdrawals actually resume in the next couple weeks)
