1261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Dogecoin become the new BTC? on: June 14, 2022, 12:00:40 PM
Let alone meme coins like Dogecoin becoming new BTC, even ETH which is the best altcoin is unlikely to become new BTC. In fact, there have been lots of new projects created to replace BTC, but all of them ended up failing. Because Bitcoin is too strong to beat, so Bitcoin is like a mother to other cryptocurrencies. No matter how big Elon Musk's influence is, it's impossible for Dogecoin to overtake Bitcoin,  even I'm not sure Elon Musk is able to return Dogecoin to ATH prices.
There is only one btc, that is why it cant be replaced anymore. Any coins next to btc are only just an altcoin and only the altcoins have the permission to compete with each other. If there are projects with a vision to replace btc, that owner must be out of his mind. He don't have a respect to the one that started it all and I am sure that investors will avoid his project in an instant after knowing his intention.

It will be hard for elon to hype doge again to its ath because he already lose a lot of followers but it wasn't the dogecoin that lost the trust of the investors but it was Elon because they know that Elon is only using the coin for his own good.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 13, 2022, 06:31:56 PM
Maybe that's true but even if he can use bitcoin, I don't think it will be easy for him to be able to gamble in a casino that refuses his country to gamble because it's written in their regulations. Even if he uses a VPN to visit the site, I think the casino will know he's broken their rules and could have his account locked out. If I were him, I would not visit that casino, especially if I knew the casino does not allow my country to access the site.
That's the best thing that we can do to avoid trouble. There are so many bitcoin gambling sites nowadays, so we should not force ourselves on one site but you can always proceed to the other. See if they allow your country. I am sure that not all of them are the same that can restrict the same countries.

Bitcoins are cryptos and cryptos are supposed to be anonymous, and by this, we also have a fully decentralized gambling sites that don't have any restrictions whatsoever. It's the same as an exchange where we also have two kinds, one is centralized like binance and kuckoin and the other one is decentralized like pancakeswap and etherdelta.
1263  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitLucy.com 🎰 200% deposit bonus, 🕡 valid for 48 hours! on: June 13, 2022, 03:30:31 PM
I would happily post screenshots of my conversations with multiple support agents, including their management, and my entire account history. However, yet again, the website is totally offline.

Rather than dismissing the issues myself and other players are reporting - i think its important that players thinking of depositing know what is really going on here. It is not a casino in any position to pay players their winnings at the moment.

Just FYI, there is another thread ongoing here as well: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5402179.msg60347924#msg60347924. I'm not alone in this situation.
I would definitely suggest starting a scam accusation topic, and just focusing on there. Making posts here on their website gives you absolutely no advantage at all, doesn't make any sense neither. I personally understand your frustration at a personal level, it is understandable and I would feel like that if I thought I was wronged. But, the method you are using is not one that is doing a good job for you.

Start an accusation topic, and then start a trust issue and you will be able to convince other people to talk about something for you as well. This way you could convince other people or maybe they will convince you and that will be a lot better for you.
1264  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: June 13, 2022, 01:50:26 AM
Besides being boring, Choosing sides to bet is really frustrating because you will just get confused on guessing because of the past game result. This is always my dilemma on bacarrat that's why I rarely play it and plus the fact that Banker has a lower payout than player which is a big turn off for me. Blackjack is much better because you can decide on your own about the fate of your hands by wisely hitting or standing.

Sometimes I use farm wager due to it's high payout rate while low risk of losing since your only enemy is 7 so I can bet high amount with confidence which I can't do on normal game.
In these 3 days I played roulette and dice to farm wager so far have made 400mbtc wagered and take up some places on the leaderboard
Overall my balance profit not like other players lost a few mbtc for being too pushy at the last minute even though what they hunt is not worth what they get, if we don't use calculations it will be difficult to make a profit.
I would guess that if someone gambles for fun and wins then it's fine, but if you are aiming at winning something then it could be a bit of a trouble and I would assume that it could be a bit of a problem to let it be like that. Like let's say if you wager 20 mbtc more and get the first place, but then you are risking an extra 20 mbtc and could lose it, plus the other person could see this and increase their wagering as well, and it will be infinite loop like that, which should be a bit of a problem in the long run.

This is why I believe that we should be wagering not for competition, but for fun, and if we are there then it would be fine. I didn't even realize I won once, and was in the leaderboard at the bottom once, just from regular gambling without even checking the leaderboard.
1265  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: June 12, 2022, 06:56:23 PM
I believe that it’s a simple marketing trick as every time a fan sees his team play he sees the sponsors name, and eventually that name gets stuck in his mind so even if he or she won’t gamble they’ll end up recommending it to other people. Furthermore there’s also a set of fans who believe that they should only gamble at the sponsors site because they’re supporting their favourite club, and lastly Steve could tell us more too as they’re the sponsors of Southampton.
Yeah, as fans of the club we just need to support. Playing or not on sponsored sites is a choice that doesn't need to be forced. Especially if we previously had a comfortable place to play. Be proud when your favorite team gets a good sponsor.
The other way around works as well. I am personally a fan of sportsbet.io and that means if they sponsor Watford then I love Watford, if they sponsor Southampton then I support Southampton, if they decide to switch it and support another team then I would support that team, it doesn't matter who they sponsor, it could be from another league, it could be another place, all in all I would always support every single situation and that would be much better for me.

I would be even more in love with idea of them sponsoring somewhere else as well, I mean do not leave Southampton, but support a smaller league stuff so I can afford to get the jersey at least, Southampton one is too expensive, jersey is still doable but shipping costs twice as much as the jersey for me Sad.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Something Like This Happen To You on: June 12, 2022, 06:23:40 PM
It was a moment I will never forget. I have continued to play even though I have won in a row in the end I still lost everything. Just like I stopped playing after winning streak and continue it another time. Stupidly I still lost everything. Actually, I realized that it would be difficult to beat the house but I kept doing it over and over again.
Maybe you have deposited a good amount and also win a good amount because you have won in a row, that is why it didn't erase easily in your head. I know it is hard but you must learn to let go of that bad memory in order to feel better. What important is still the current or the present situation. You are healthy and still have some cash with you.

There is still a chance that you can win again but this time you must know what to do. Don't repeat the same mistake again. Not only in your winning streak but you should also not continue to deposit and try to revenge what you already lost by depositing more money because it surely get eaten over and over.
1267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: June 12, 2022, 05:05:47 PM
I believe that there are some that will not want to agree. Bitcoin can definitely exist without Government support as we have even seen over the years in most regions but once we start to look at Global adoption then I too believe the Government is important on that note. Look at what happened today with the sharp drop in Bitcoins price because of the talk about SEC's investigation into Binance and possibly the upcoming Crypto bill set to be introduced tomorrow. So we can see that the Government still has their influence on crypto generally so their backing for Bitcoin mass adoption.
This is true that we need to actually have some sort of government support in order to keep it going with a high adoption rate. This is why we should not be really refraining to the point that we dislike government intervention. If we do that then we are not going to end up with any support at all and then all the crypto adoption would have to be on the behind the closed doors type.

So, in order to make this work, we need to pressure the politicians we elect to vote for crypto to be legal and also not have any high regulations neither, make it relaxed and taxed very little so that everyone would be able to invest into crypto without fear.
1268  Economy / Economics / Re: Block Report: Bitcoin: Knowledge and Perceptions on: June 12, 2022, 02:34:38 PM
Seriously mate? 51% do not know anything about crypto currency? That got my attention. In the world where bitcoin or bitcoin related stuff is always in talks, whether it’s our friends, schools and colleges, news, share market world the bitcoin word occurs everywhere these days.

Who are these peeps who does not know anything about bitcoin at all. I’m really surprised about this. Or does the peeps who fall in 51% are all from the worlds those corner where digitalisation is still unattended or awareness is still far from Internet. Definitely interesting topic to discuss further.
I believe that is probably people who do not know details about bitcoin, not the people who never heard of it. I mean I get it, there is a good case to be made about the situation that would make it look like its people who never heard about it, but I just feel like majority of the people heard about it already, at least 70-80%+ of the people "heard" about it.

However, if we look at people who know what a blockchain is, that drops down a lot, and if we ask about decentralization? That’s even lower. Hence, I believe that if we take it even just a smidge of down into details, there are still majority of the people who do not know about those things.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Trends For 2022 on: June 12, 2022, 01:48:46 PM
Have you noticed any online casino trends in 2022 not listed in the article?

You can read the articles here: https://blog.bc.game/online-casino-trends/
Nice article and mentioned about nice trends but I am not aware that some of them exist like the gambling on a smartwatch but maybe it was still new? And not all sites including this forum talks about this but you are here already that shares this information so thanks. That would be awesome if we can gamble while on the move but can this mean more losses for us? Hhmm. If there is one thing that is not in the list that would be the introduction of nft's in the gambling scene.

A couple of gambling sites have already started this. On the part where gambler can play on restricted areas, are they using a vpn? Or it means that gambling is now not restricted on them? That would be nice then.
1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC really safe from being hijacked? on: June 12, 2022, 10:18:14 AM
Even with all the money in the world, the problem is acquiring enough hardware for such an attack. It's simply not there unless the government has or develops secret facilitates to build their own ASICs.

Imagine you have billions of dollars and you go to Ferrari's headquarters and say: I want to buy 365 new Ferrari's right now, so I can drive a new one every day of the year. Here is the money, I need my cars on Monday. Guess what? You are not going to get them. They have waiting lists, and people wait for months maybe even a year or two for their brand-new Ferraris.

It's the same thing with ASIC miners. Despite your money, you can't just go and purchase 700.000 units because just like Ferrari, they have waiting lists, preorders, etc.
The good thing is, unlike Ferrari, if you spend enough money then you can build your own asic miners. Nobody, even if they have enough money to buy a million of them, could build a Ferrari warehouse and build something and then own it, because Ferrari has a trademark for it, and building a car company from ground up costs tens of billions of dollars easily, hence why it is such a horrible idea. However, building an asic mining equipment company wouldn't even cost a billion dollars.

Meaning, you could literally build a warehouse type of manufacturing plant, and then build your own asics, it is not really that much of a difficult thing to build, quite simple if you spend money for it.
1271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which crypto will going to explore after this bearish market ends? on: June 11, 2022, 08:49:18 PM
That is why we are here, more on for bitcoin because its probably the most expensive asset yet the best asset to own. So without hesitation, invest in bitcoin. Although it won't be profitable the whole time, but if you chose to hodl it for a couple of years, then you will be instantly rich once you decide to sell it.
It may be expensive if you are trying to get a whole number volume of bitcoin. Go for smaller fractions and should be more feasible, specially during heavy bear cycles. Current bear cycle is towards the end as the price is inching upwards, so this is the time to hold or sell in future.
Honestly I have been investing into bitcoin for many many years and never owned 1 full bitcoin before in my life. Sure if you look at all the money that went in and out of my account it could be like 50+ bitcoins or even more, but I never held them, it was my earnings that I had to just send back for more products and all that, and even the living that I have, each month I make enough to actually buy a good amount of satoshis, and at some point in my life I could have gotten like 1 bitcoin every other month or few months, and would make like few bitcoins a year, but I had to cash them out to survive. So all I did was buy parts of it, like buy 0.01 each month for example, or even 0.005 or even lower if I have to.
1272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price is falling? on: June 11, 2022, 07:28:15 PM
Consider that price isnt the most important thing, its the ongoing usage that is superior.  Imagine price falling is a necessary lubricant to keep interest and volume high enough for the network to continue and this is a higher purpose then the price on any particular day this year.  If we have to fall the whole of 2022 then so be it, celebrate that BTC continues on and is very likely to be able to regain any price lost this year so what is the real harm especially so long as the greater purpose is served.
People tend to feel BTC is weaker at the lower price, it can be that it stays stronger for that fall and flexibility; its the market purpose which is surpassing price and individual desire for gains.
Yeah, it is the technology that people should be going at for btc because this was being introduced to us by the founder and by that, we should not care if the price is falling or is rising because a btc will always be btc. This is what makes btc superior and that superiority won't be tarnished anymore no matter what happens with the market.

Those who have interest when the price falls are mainly the investors or the people that don't use their btc as a currency but as an asset to possibly make a profit while a fall in the price can also lead for someone to lose interest in bitcoin especially now that we are seem to be stuck on this situation.
1273  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear market every team will pump their own coin on: June 11, 2022, 07:00:49 PM
The reason why some coins are pumped in the bear market is because there are thousands of tokens / coins in the market. And all of them have different teams and their roadmap, algorithms are all different. According to the roadmap, some projects launch some of their new features, some projects launch new products, and some project teams buy back tokens. Due to which the price of many tokens / coins is seen to be pumped in this bear market. But the price of those tokens is not stay stable. After being pumped for a while, the price returns to the upper position.
There is another reason, which is the fact that we need to just face the fact that some tokens are very low cap. This means, if someone spends just a million dollars on it during a week or two, they could pump it like crazy and even when people are trying to sell, they would be keep buying it to keep it a steady going up.

This could result with that whale to lose money, or it could turn out to be something profitable if people start to hype about it and increase it without the need of the whale, at which point whale would sell and get out. This isn't a guaranteed stuff but it is certainly there which could make you a lot of money and that's why whales do it.
1274  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with the most expensive fuel | Greece's case study on: June 11, 2022, 02:44:06 PM
In my country oil prices continue to rise, subsidies are getting reduced and poor people find it difficult to buy good quality oil, I think this is because the country does not have a clear target for the future of the oil industry, my country can still produce oil but it is managed by private companies and foreign companies, state oil companies only import and this keeps prices going up.
I don’t really know if this same country you are talking about is my country also, because the things you mentioned here are all similar to the calamities faced in my country. The rich takes from the poor to remain even richer, talking about the oil production aspect, my country also produces the same oil, in very good quantities but how we are not able to use this oil to our own benefit still baffles me because I am aware of the numerous things oil can do, I’m aware of the income sources oil can create, so it's actually disheartening that our natural resources are being managed by foreigners, the more reason there’s an imbalance in the economy; things always go the rich side.
1275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good time for alts on: June 11, 2022, 01:41:30 PM
Do we need to wait more 1- 2 years then buy alts now before right before bull market kick in?
No need to wait that long, you can take advantage of potential altcoins that are under the top 10, make a purchase now with adjustments, analysis and other supporting factors, which can later convince you that the altcoin has a chance to strengthen when the bull run arrives, right now. there is no market recovery yet, but rest assured it will return to normal, and by then you are in a bull run with appropriate returns.
Depends on the coin we are talking about. If you are investing in something that is not in top 10, then you are investing either into 11th, or 1111th, that changes so much. If you are investing into something that has been around for a while, or has been there for a minute only.

All of these changes the result, I personally believe that if you invest into something that is a bit more riskier, then you are going to end up with a lot of problems. Just check the coin you are putting your money into, and understand that you are buying something that hasn't shown success yet, so there is no guarantee that it will show any improvement, it may fail at any moment, or could make you rich too, no idea which one will happen.
1276  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest everything looking bearish on: June 10, 2022, 09:25:34 PM
When the market is still bearish, the thing I do is hold and wait for the right time to buy, the bearish market becomes a good opportunity to buy, never sell because I'm sure we will lose money if we sell while still bearish.
Wait for the right time to buy? I guess the bearish price itself is a good time to buy. I mean, what the current Btc price today is the best time to buy. Never wait for the bottom or you would missing the buying opportunity.
Bearish season is the perfect time to buy, don't prioritize on thinking about holding, convince yourself to buy atleast DCA all through every dip.
Maybe he is like the others that are waiting for more downfalls? You know many are still speculating about 27k and lower price range. There is nothing wrong with it since there is still no good signs yet the market is now going to recover from the 40k level and above but it's also better if they can take a piece of this bear even if just small amounts, only for remembrance in case the unexpected happens.

Hodling is also a good thing and this must be our priority if we are an investor but for the traders, it is still possible for them trade btc and make some profit on this kind of situation since there are still fluctuations that occurs from time to time.
1277  Economy / Economics / Re: Uncertanity and fear in economics and clarity how to stay calm on: June 10, 2022, 11:21:22 AM
i think it's only natural when someone is panicking now because they see the uncertain economic and geopolitical conditions like today... but it's true that we need to educate ourselves, especially on investment.. one must be able to control their emotions so that they don't follow other people and panicked and they took rash decisions and it made them lose their money
Emotion once again is actually a key or essential tool which one must master how to use before becoming a trader. You need to actually know the exact moments to take certain actions whilst not allowing whatever happens with the economy get to you.

I have actually witnessed lots the economy which is not even the type that welcomes emotions when dealing with it, whatever reason it is in an economy, you are expected to put your emotions aside because for instance, in the trading system, if you decide to always go with your instincts, there’s a high failure probability or possibility and you might end up having issues; losses at most.
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to binance if found guilty on: June 09, 2022, 09:29:40 PM
What do you think will happen if SEC finds Binance exchange to be guilty in their ongoing investigation? Do you think this will create panic in crypto space or will just affect the price of the BNB coin for some while?....
What investigation? Is this the issue about bnb 5 years ago? This was posted in twitter, saw it last day. If found guilty, well binance will be in big trouble and especially their coin bnb because it was the main subject here. It can cause a lot of panic to those who support bnb and binance exchange.

It seems that their glory days is now coming to an end. Will this be a beginning for a new or unfamous exchange to bloom? I really think so. I just hope that they won't follow what binance did here. It is still better to become successful in a fair and legal way but other than this, I heard that binance is also involved on the issue of luna. Not only sure though if that was true.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Something Like This Happen To You on: June 09, 2022, 06:49:49 PM
We experienced unexpected events or moments in gambling like this one, you are calling it off a day in a session then you're suddenly on a winning streak thinking that it's your time to get back what you've lost will you go or will you stop and come back the next day.

I'm sometimes tempted to continue but I know you cannot beat the house, so most of the time I just call it a day and just wished that tomorrow or next time it's my lucky day. What about you what's your take.
I've experienced something like that, I was able to get a lot of profit instantly on the same day and after that I didn't make a profit withdrawal and instead continued gambling and immediately the profit I got was lost, from that incident I can use it for an important lesson that when I get a lot of wins then I have to go out and make a profit withdrawal, when you want to enter again then maybe you can use a different user so the system won't know that it was you who won a very large amount.
How come you did not withdraw anything if that was "lots" of profit? When you say lots I assume it was over a hundred something dollars. Even if you can just left 10 dollars from yourself, that is already better. It can serve as a remembrance. Next time, don't be overconfident but whenever you win or when you reach the minimum withdraw threshold (if you're a small time gambler) always make it a habit to withdraw first.

You can still deposit your money back in the game but never deposit all as it doesn't make sense anymore of withdrawing it. About using another account, no that was not true but it is still possible to win again as long as you are lucky. The owner doesn't have the ability to stop you from winning more.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin investments have become risky this day. on: June 09, 2022, 06:27:14 PM
From the outset, cryptocurrencies have been seen as riskier investments than other financial markets, not just risky altcoins. Bitcoin-only cryptocurrencies are considered the safest investments and the rest of the cryptocurrencies are riskier. The way to limit risk when investing in altcoins is to choose top altcoins and DYOR before investing.
I always laughed at that idea, like crypto is somehow more riskier than stocks or gold or fiat? I mean it is quite clear to me that other investments are a lot more riskier than crypto because when you hold bitcoin that means you are going to beat inflation and get richer most of the time, sure sometimes you need to wait for it but at the end of the day you are not going to end up doing anything that will be profitable for you if you invest into others like stock markets and sometimes the returns are silly. Sure crypto is more risky if you end up investing into something idiotic, but if you do not pick coins like that then there won't be a problem.
