Why even bother releasing the update. . ..

They should have the firmware posted for roll back. Philip, not to poke the bear but a basic reply is all I might expect from their forum account. Hopefully once they get to business hours over there they'll update and list the original firmware. We'll give them a chance to help us out.

Can you or anyone else read decibel level or give a general opinion on noise level?
1264  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: August 22, 2018, 02:36:53 PM
Okay. My unit showed up the other day Monday the 20th.

I get about 17500 th at 1450 watts.

This is close to 82 watts a th.

It is a good number

So what does the firmware do?

Optimize hash. Does not mean optimize power.

So. Will hash go up and power go up? =  not what I want.

Will hash go up and power stay the same = very good

Will hash stay the same and power drop = best

I have only made one purchase from you this unit.

I don’t want high power use

I agree, more specific notes on the updates would be nice. For me though if it was working well why touch it but then you're proposes and skills are a lot different.

Others, be careful as we're talking T2 and T2T in here, so watch what firmware you're using on which unit.

Should we trust them ?

I hope so, the T2T had a firmware update about a week after most units shipping. With anything I would always report issues to manufacturer, especially on new items.
1266  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mucho gear coming out in next few months. on: August 22, 2018, 12:26:49 AM
I didn't know the the canaan A9 was that close. Only issue I have had with canaan was. . .. nothing. Then I've had good luck with both s9's (one is s9i). Was thinking the new canaan was further off so I guess I may skip the T2T. Unless I get antsy if I can get the exhaust in soon.

You're going to review the M10, what are the other two reviews you're thinking of?

Is it still morning in Oregon?

If so, then it's "a good Block morning to y'all..."

11:20am, could be debatable. Still plenty of time to double up today. Two block Tuesday? %
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: August 21, 2018, 05:13:12 PM
Looks like a price drop on the Z9 full, now.

Currently $3184 at bitmain, is that less than previous batch? What was the price before?

Yes, Bitmain had this just over $3.3k for the late august early September batch.
1270  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 8 Nano by Asic Miner on: August 21, 2018, 03:10:01 PM
Does anyone have any machines from this manufacturer at all, let alone a trusted member of the forum?

Hope to find out as well. Vosk did videos you can view.

I only ever worked on the T1, they used the same starting code for T2 - which I only ever tested remotely - and presumably T2T. I've had nothing to do with Inno since then. There's a reason my coding for the hardware was intense for a couple of months and then stopped abruptly. The relationship between myrig, halong and inno is complicated and strained, to say the least, but I'm not informed of all the details and neither do I want to be. Inno did ask me to help "advertise" their hardware, which I refused to do. That's clearly not something I would ever do for any manufacturer anyway.

Yea, shilling is a fine line anyway. You would want sales persons/marketers to do that not someone writing software/coding. I've always wondered about the happenings cause it was great to see Halong take off for a minute but seems a lot may have gotten missed with three separate entities trying to work fluidly, harmoniously through one project.

Apologies, four counting yourself.

For what it's worth, when I DID have to communicate with the Inno guys (who created the Halong hardware under contract), we constantly argued about how best to tune them and the balanced and efficiency modes are what I invented and they had their own tuning which they were sure was better so I let them have the "factory" option as a tuning setting. It was garbage. Not long after that I stopped being contracted to help on anything to do with their hardware (since I was working indirectly for Halong, NOT Inno.)

This is pretty note worthy. This was for the T2T or back with with DM T1?

yeah it appears to be a really nice unit I will be getting another tomorrow.

Be sure to give me your link in a pm for referral.

efficiency mode has stayed in the 1444 to 1457 watt mode at my meter

and about 17.2 to 18.4 th.

I was hoping for a little better power number but i have multiple meters and will test them all.

Awesome, just click on a link to the site from bitcoinhackers.org or twitter post and just run through the order or use the same window to request a btc quote. I get 0.05% from the 2% commission they charge if a sale is earned, mfb get's the greatest (objectively) social marketer.

It is on factory setting  doing 21.8   and about 2085 watts or  95.6 watts a th  Please note this means nothing as gear has to settle in and auto tune

the power draw seems to be close to 2100 watts on factory setting not a number i want  unless of course  gear was doing 28 or 30 th.

I dropped to efficiency and power draw is only 1457 watts more what I like

unit is doing about 17.6  to 18.4 th so  79.03 watts a th at best   and 82.78 watts a th at worst.  these are meter numbers on a 240 volt circuit putting out 236.8 volts

Looks promising, excited for the unit review. I should have my exhaust upgrade done this month, work to get a pdu, and start adding a unit in a couple more. I want to close in on 100th by year end. . . I hopes.

Burn in's and shipouts I guess? Wasn't too worried about waiting a little longer to celebrate. Just makes it all more exciting/fun when we do hit a block.
