Roma vs Juventus is currently the match of the year, what an interesting match, Roma was carried away thinking that they cannot loose with the fact that they are leading by two goals, Pellegrini could have leveled it up, a poor penalty from him cost them, Juventus really fought hard, can't believe that they can score good three goals in just 11min.
It's just that in those eleven minutes, eleven Roma players disappeared somewhere and only eleven Juventus players remained on the field Grin When the Roma players materialized back at the home stadium, it turned out that the team did not win by two goals, but was defeated by one goal. If we are really serious, then indeed at these minutes Roma did not hold the ball at all and Juventus made the result on the verge. And the apotheosis of the whole match was an unforgettable penalty by Pellegrini, because if the penalty had been scored, then Roma had excellent chances to snatch victory with a numerical advantage of one player.

Manchester United 1-0 Aston Villa
I watched the game, it was another woeful display by Manchester United and even though they won it was clear to see how far they have fallen while they search for the perfect manager to take them forward. Aston Villa played their part well, had 2 goals correctly disallowed but they played well and took the game to their opponents.
Aston Villa are knocked out but next for Manchester United in the 4th Round is another home game against Middlesborough.
I, too, had the happiness or, on the contrary, the misfortune to observe this spectacle. To say that Manchester United inspires with their game is to err against the truth. Having scored their goal quickly enough, Manchester United unfortunately did not demonstrate a coherent game further and should thank the Aston Villa players, the referees and VAR, de Gea, Mrs. Fortune that the game ended in regular time with a victory, and did not go into extra time or even ended in defeat  Wink Steven Gerrard's players really deserved at least one goal that would have been counted, but to Aston Villa's great regret, this did not happen. I wanted to say that Manchester United should forget about this match and move on, but then I thought that there have been a lot of such matches at MU lately and something needs to be solved with this, and not just forget.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 10, 2022, 11:10:30 PM
Atletico Madrid are really too bad and they are not much different than Barcelona considering their general statistics. Barcelona's recent performance in the league has been even better than Atletico Madrid's. And I'm curious about if this will change for Atletico Madrid. Because they are already far away from the leader. The gap is 16 points now.
Both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona cannot compete for the title this season, their point gaps are too far from Real Madrid which is at the top of the standings. Only Sevilla has a chance to compete for the title with Real Madrid. In my opinion, the realistic target for Atletico Madrid and Barcelona is competing for UCL tickets. However, it won't be easy for them if their performance is getting worse and no positive improvement. Moreover, if there are some key players injured or got affected by the virus. It will make the situation be more complicated for them.
Yes, Atletico Madrid does not live up to the expectations that were placed on the club before the championship and there is a feeling that even Diego Simeone himself and the club's management do not understand why this is happening Wink Otherwise, the conclusions would have been made long ago and the club would have started to show the results that the club should show. The potential of the club's squad is not bad, the finances are also quite good compared to the rivals from Barcelona, but there is no stable result. It is not for nothing that Atletico Madrid ranks second in La Liga in terms of lost points, having an advantage in the score, which has already accumulated 12. Only Levante has worse similar indicators.

FA Cup thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5368690.0
I used to watch FA cups but I find it just a distraction these days. Top Premier League teams do not even see it as a priority since they only send their second tier teams to compete most of the time. It's also not surprising when they lose to Championship teams because of that.
This is what the case has often been before hand, now, times have changed. Just like the Bundesliga where we've got a Bayern Munich dominance of the league, the EPL has turned out to be confined to very few teams in the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.  No other team counts so much and you can be almost certain that, these 3 would always be in the top 3 spots while the other teams struggle on whatever spot is left.
Looking at this fact, the rest teams have redirected there energy and force towards the FA and Carabao Cup for there chance of going home with a trophy. Even Europa now has become difficult, not to mention the UCL. So, its not really a game for second eleven anymore, just a slight change but, you could be sure the big dogs would be out once the time is running out.
I would not say that all three top places will necessarily belong to Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, but rather I would say that the winner of the championship is likely to be one of them Wink It's just that the Premier League is the tournament where the real strength of the club is manifested over a long distance and the accidents inherent in the cup system are leveled. Accordingly, the most powerful clubs at the moment are Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, but this does not mean that it will last forever Grin Let's say earlier it was also necessary to include Manchester United in this list, but due to a combination of certain circumstances, we cannot do this yet Wink
1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: January 09, 2022, 11:59:24 PM
Barcelona are really having a financial crisis for now and their condition in the La Liga standings is also not very good. I know that they have signed Ferran Torres from City even though they have a high amount of debt. And I don't know how they are allowed to sign a player for that much in this condition too.  Grin  The most critical thing for Barcelona at this point is to improve their performance. They need to get better every single week until their matchup against Napoli. Or they are likely to say goodbye to this tournament.
Yes I just read the number again, they have $1.35 billion in outstanding debt I think. A lot of things will depend on the Corona development. If they have a full stadium on a bi-weekly basis, that helps a lot given the capacity is around 100.000.
I really wonder though how the fans will react to their bad performances. A full stadium has been a given for a very long time in Barcelona, but what if they even miss the CL? That looks a lot like a downward spiral now from so many perspectives.
It would be a big disaster for Barcelona's financial condition if the club could not participate in the next Champions League draw, because all these expenses also take into account the income from the upcoming participation in the tournament. For example, I know that when the club adopted an anti-crisis plan in the summer, it was taken into account that the club would be able to overcome the group stage of the Champions League and reach the playoffs, but none of this is known to have happened. Fortunately, Barcelona is now in the Europa League, but the income in the Europa League is several times less and there are absolutely no zero chances to leave the tournament immediately, having failed to earn there as well.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 09, 2022, 11:51:14 PM
Should I bring up a counter example? Cheesy Gareth Bale in Madrid, he was paid so well that he didn't even really care whether he played or not. If he did, he would have tried to transfer to another club. Real Madrid even wanted him to go but he said he is happy to stay. Crazy for a player of his quality, but money also plays a big role. I guess most of these pro athletes want to compete with the best and that automatically means you might have phases where you find yourself sitting on the bench. Could be injuries at work, could be unlucky situations or also missing attitude or talent.
With Gareth Bale, not everything is so clear. Still, we will not deny that the footballer has a certain talent and Bale has made a significant contribution to Real Madrid as the winner of the Champions League. Everything depends on Bale's large salary and none of the potential buyers of the football player is ready to pay the indicated amount, and when such an option appeared in the face of the Chinese club, Florentino Perez personally vetoed the transfer of the football player, which made an even greater split in the relationship between the football player and the club. Therefore, do not blame Bale for everything, Real Madrid also bears part of the blame in the current situation.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 09, 2022, 11:42:47 PM
City this season looks like a complete team who are good in every aspect, defense, midfield, and attack.
I think if they are able to buy a pure striker in this transfer window, that would be really good for them but other than that, they seem quite strong. The Semi-final draw might play an important role if they qualify. I think this season's CL is gonna be quite on even ground. As all of City, PSG, Real, Bayern look like very good teams.
Manchester City looks good this season and has a good chance of winning the Champions League, but only for a good impression they do not give the title of the winner of the Champions League  Wink Another question is that their advantage does not look overwhelming and such teams as Bayern, Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid, Liverpool at least look no worse and are quite capable of competing in the title of the winner. Moreover, the result of the confrontation can be decided based on the results of just one match. Personally, I think Harry Kane, Erling Haaland and Killian Mbappe will join the club, but still not in this transfer window Grin
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 09, 2022, 11:31:59 PM
Initially, I thought about odds of more than ten, even closer to 20, but then I doubted (after all, this is Juventus, which is always overvalued). I hope someone from those who followed the live odds will write down what they were.
But in any case, betting on the team that in the away match loses 1-3 in the 70th minute is complete madness, I don't know what logical conclusions must be in my head to come to this.
It was a crazy game and with the score 3-1 I thought it wasn't Juventus' day, but then Morata came on the pitch and made a crazy assist... I thought it was Juventus day when, after a quick goal conceded by Roma, de Ligt was removed and a penalty was awarded to Juventus, but Pellegrini could not score and instead of a guaranteed draw and a chance to squeeze the opponent in the remaining 10 minutes of the match, Roma was defeated. Especially impressive at the end of the match was how Juventus, playing in the minority, staged a total pressure at the Roma penalty area and did not allow their players to rush to the last assault on someone else's goal.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 09, 2022, 11:24:10 PM
It is difficult to assess this match as the teams played in lineups that were far from optimal. Judging by the statistics, the result is fair, since PSG dominated only in possession of the ball. It seems to me that this result is quite satisfactory for PSG, since nothing threatens their position in the first place, and although this is a loss of points, it is not a defeat.
You can dominate a single match as much as you like, but if it doesn't end with a goal scored, then it's all just statistical games Wink Despite its place this season, Lyon has shown itself to be quite a worthy opponent. Lyon's tactics consisted of striking counterattacks and it turned out perfectly in one moment. Another question is that it still did not allow us to win the match with such an opponent as Paris Saint-Germain. However, considering what a gap Paris Saint Germain already has from rivals, this is just a separate reason for dissatisfaction with the result, but not a reason for unrestrained grief and making far-reaching conclusions.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 09, 2022, 11:19:35 PM
Diego Simeone needs to fix these problems as soon as possible if they still want to compete for the title and UCL tickets.
realistically speaking:
- Athletic doesn't have any chance of being champion and even for UCL they won't make it, they now just need to focus on this at least in the top 5 something that will also be a difficult mission
- barcelona also has no chance of being champion and even to enter the UCL will be a much more difficult mission
- leaving the real madrid aside, the only one who can still dream of being champion is the sevilla who honestly don't know how they've been so lucky to win games for just 1 goal
Realism does not always coincide with the reality of life Grin There is always the possibility of a miracle. Maybe Atletico's chances for the championship have already been lost, but the fight for a place in the Champions League should end with success. Villarreal is a solid opponent and the loss of points in a match with such a club should not be regarded as a disaster and the loss of all chances for a successful end to the season. Unlike Barcelona, Atletico Madrid does not have such financial problems and, if the game and results are stabilized, it has a good chance of at least being in the top three. Another question is that Atletico Madrid expected completely different results this season and at least a fight for the title.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 09, 2022, 11:04:52 PM
For the Premier League trophy I'm sure Manchester City will win it. But for the Champions League I'm not sure, because other teams have played as well as Manchester City. I think Real Madrid and Bayern Munich would probably be strong candidates for that.

Yes they have good chance to win the champions league but they have work towards it very well, more effort in their performance because their other strong teams too like Liverpool that are good that things can just change all of a sudden. Things like this are unexpected sometimes.
The problem with champions league title is that you have to be at 100% every single game. Like last year, they were already at the finals and lets be honest it is clear to me that Chelsea was not the better team on that game, they were definitely the underdogs. Which shows that City played amazingly for whole season and then during the finals they dropped the ball. That is why you can't have even a single game where you are bad or you will be out (well after group stages).
So City could win, they do have that talent, they have that chemistry, they have a strategy, they have a great manager all in all they have everything they need but one bad game and they are totally out. This is why we can't be sure of who will win it this year, they look like they are the best team if you ask me, but that doesn't mean anything when they were the best last year as well and still lost.
This is the peculiarity of the cup system, when you can lose the title by losing just one match. It's very spectacular, but very often not very fair. Therefore, you can win your championship year after year, but never win the Champions League. Pep Guardiola can worry and reflect on this as much as he likes, but still, by and large, the fans and everyone connected with Manchester City need to worry more, because as you know, Guardiola himself has already won the Champions League as a head coach with Barcelona Wink On the one hand, this should liberate him to some extent, because the person has already achieved this and knows how to do it. On the other hand, it may interfere with the fact that a person will not undertake those super-efforts that would be undertaken by someone who has not yet achieved the goal.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 07, 2022, 11:59:09 PM
According to The Times, the management of Manchester United has decided on a replacement for the head coach of their team, Ralph Rangnick, the contract with the conditions ends this summer.
According to the source, he will become the successor of Rangnik Erik ten Hag, who now coaches Ajax Amsterdam.
We remind you that under the current contract, Ralph Rangnid will finish working until the end of the season, and after that he will receive the position of an advisor in a special club.
https://www.readfootball.com/manchester-yunayted-nashel-zamenu-rangniku-247386.html
They will surely start looking for a permanent manager after this season. There is a slight chance for him to continue managing the team too if he becomes successful. But I don't think that Manchester United will make a decision in this way. There were some candidates like Zidane and Pochettino before when they were in search of a good manager. Maybe we could see a solid manager like them to take the job.
There is no world class manager available current at the market. zidane has no plan to take any job in england so do pochettino who still have a long solid contract at psg. Erik ten hag are indeed the one who linked to manchester united so far and he will not missed it for sure it is huge opportunity besides manchester united pretty familiar with nethelands . just poor ragnick with his not so good start in charge.
I don't think the Manchester United management expected so much that the club would radically transform under Rangnik's leadership and suddenly start showing outstanding results. The level of these expectations should have been clearly shown by the fact that Rangnik was officially appointed interim head coach of the team for six months. As they say, comments on this are unnecessary. Of course, everything can change and Manchester United can really transform and the search for a new head coach will really become superfluous, however, Zidane can also change his plans, and Pochettino's position in Paris Saint-Germain is not so strong. Therefore, I would not rush about the candidacy of Erik ten Hag either.

I would say, Juventus is really turning hot. Yes though they drew the match yesterday against Napoli, its really fighting hard to move up. Atalanta and Napoli have to perform well and the win upcoming matches. Napoli's recent matches are not up to the standard. They just own just a match in recent 5 matches and lost 3 matches with 1 draw and that too yesterday with Juventus. Happy to see that Napoli did not loose yesterday. Napoli has to tune themselves back on track.
a pretty good result because they really need points even though they should have won but if you see the opponent is Napoli, of course the draw is pretty good.
on the other hand napoli are currently quite threatened and only hope atalanta lose or draw against sampdoria although i feel confident they will get the three points in this match.
they are superior in all aspects compared to sampdoria and they are also playing at home which will definitely be underdogs in this match
Juventus is still gaining and gaining momentum, if the team really still wants to achieve something serious in this championship Wink Therefore, it is still unknown in whose favor this draw is, whether Juventus is still gaining momentum, or Napoli, whose move has already been scored and the team is trying to return to its previous momentum Grin In any case, a draw is a great result for the opponents, thanks to which they can break away even further in the standings, and other teams, on the contrary, get even closer thanks to such a result. The current Atalanta has slowed down its move and indeed may well lose points in the match with Sampdoria.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 07, 2022, 11:43:08 PM
Manchester City really have ended all the competition for the title in this season already. It has started becoming frustrating for me to see them widening the gap earlier in the league and becoming the champions easily at the end. If I'm not wrong, we saw the same scenario two times in the recent years. They are just awesome about doing this. I don't see the same level of motivation in any team. This is of course a great privilege for Manchester City. But this makes spectators angry when they start seeing the same team winning the title like this multiple times in a short time period.  Grin  But at least, there is no huge dominance of any team in this league unlike Bayern Munich's unbelievable dominance in the Bundesliga.  Cheesy
Manchester City have players of almost equal quality in every position, and they deserve to lead the League far better than any other team. I think this is their era of glory and you can't be frustrated because Manchester City won't be able to maintain this quality forever. At the start of the season they weren't very good, but they managed to do well when the other team let their guard down and had a slump.
They might win the title if they maintain their best record until the end of the season, but things can change even in the last few match before the end of the season.
We must also pay tribute to Josep Guardiola, who, as the head coach of the team, quite successfully copes with the rotation within the team and the ambitions of the players about their position in the team and playing time. Therefore, when we talk about quality players in different playing positions, we should not forget about the person who uses these quality players correctly. Without forgetting, of course, how much it costs and who provides this magnificent masquerade ball Wink And yes, Pep Guardiola usually does not like to stay in one place for a very long time, so really maybe these boring championships of Pep in Manchester City will end and the equally boring championships of Newcastle will begin, perhaps under the leadership of the same Guardiola Grin
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 07, 2022, 11:34:29 PM
Yes, you're right, but that's exactly what I wrote about. The Big Three - Real, Barcelona and Atlético - own the Spanish championship, and the last time someone outside intervened in this hegemony was about 20 years ago. And objectively speaking, the chances that someone else will intervene in the dominance of this trio in the next 20 years is very small - all three clubs have a streamlined structure, huge budgets and it is hard to believe that all three will fail at once.
And yet this can happen at any time, although of course it is difficult to disagree with your words. There is more hope not that all three hegemon clubs will fail, but rather that another new contender for the championship of a comparable level will appear. Such hegemony can be quite disastrous for competition and spectator interest in the domestic championship and for national football in general as a result, but on the other hand it is quite viable for competition at the international level and the example of Barcelona, Real Madrid and partly Atletico Madrid are an excellent illustration of this thesis. No wonder the presidents of Barcelona and Real Madrid continue to rush with the idea of creating a super league.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 07, 2022, 11:25:01 PM
Losing 1-2 at home hurts regardless of the opponent. Now Dortmund is secretly coming a little closer. Think Bayern will still easily become champions, but if Dortmund win the difference is still 6 points and they play against each other again. Those 1-2, if you had bet on that, you would have been rich by now. Bayern also still were up 1-0.
Great news for everyone except the Bayern fans, who will bring at least a little more intrigue to the championship Wink And for all this we need to thank Borussia, but not the one from Dortmund, but the one from Monchengladbach Grin Thanks to this victory, Monchengladbach broke its winless streak, which consisted of four lost matches and one draw. On the contrary, Bayern Munich broke its streak of seven wins in all tournaments. Bayern were not helped even by the presence on the field and the goal of their irreplaceable joker in the person of Robert Lewandowski. Now it remains to see if another Borussia, which is from Dortmund, will be able to take advantage of an unexpected chance and get closer to the leader.
1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 06, 2022, 11:59:11 PM
For the competition of Serie A it was good that Milan won against Roma today putting some pressure on Inter. The other strong game between Juventus vs Napoli ended in a draw but they are still near the top of the table. There is only one problem though,if you see the stats and the players that Inter has both as starting 11 and both bench players they are the best team right now in Italy and if some years ago Juventus was able to turn things around I highly doubt this will happen this year.I think the Serie A will be disputed between Inter and Milan for this season.
I think Inter will win Serie A this year without a big fight. Milan is trying to keep up with Inter, but this is all temporary, there will be a period when they will have a recession again, I hope I'm wrong. Juventus played in a draw with Napoli and this is probably a natural result, I was hope that Juventus will be able to win. Yes you are right, this year Juventus will not be able to change much, they still have too many vulnerabilities in the team, from the attack line to the goalkeeper.
Are you so sure that the current Inter, after all the events and difficulties that happened to the team at the end of last season and between seasons, is able to continue its winless streak until the end of this season?! Personally, I am absolutely not sure about this and I have much more confidence in Milan, Napoli or even Juventus in this regard, despite their obvious playing problems in the middle of the season. Therefore, let's not rush to hasty conclusions only based on the results of the first round of the championship and let's see what happens next. For example, I will not be surprised at all that now another team will give out a winning streak and come out on top in the championship, pushing Inter Wink
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: January 06, 2022, 11:50:17 PM
It's funny how managers take the blame for everything even when it's not their fault.Give the manager some time. See the problem with United players is that they  cant even do a simple 6 yard pass. They are too lazy and entitled to do some running and put the pressure on the opposition. Rangnik strategy is based on pressing and without it they look him look bad. Some players are not on board with what the new manager wants to do which is in itself not good.
Basically, the manager is responsible for 80% of the team performance because it is what the manager tells the players that they can actually play to, he sets the formation, he makes changes, he chooses the players he wants in his team, and if he has everything he needs, who is to blame if the players do not perform to expectations? Of course, the manager, the players are there to serve the club and the manager, and if the team does well, the manager also gets credit.
Firstly, the expression that the team always wins, and the head coach always loses has not been canceled yet Wink Therefore, no one is surprised when, in case of failures, the main culprit and the main victim is the head coach of the team, but with a successful performance of the team, much less attention is paid to the aspect of the head coach. Of course, the head coach has a significant impact on the team's game due to the reasons already mentioned above, but no head coach will be able to go on the field and implement his ideas by virtue of his ideas or, conversely, correct team tactics mistakes, except in very unique cases, which, due to their rarity, can be neglected.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 06, 2022, 11:42:09 PM
The value of the Champions League is that regular successful performance in it gives a lot of money. Real Madrid are the first in the rankings and receive the largest share of the pool, which is distributed among the clubs depending on their regular performance in the league. Winning the Champions League this year will be incredibly difficult for Real Madrid, but I will certainly hope so. As for La Liga, in my opinion the competition is already over there.
I still think that the competition in La Liga is by no means over, despite the current advantage of Real Madrid in the standings over other rivals. As this advantage was formed following the results of the first round, when all the main competitors were in distress in terms of the game and, accordingly, in terms of results, so this advantage may dissolve by the end of the season. The example of Atletico Madrid last season will not let me lie Wink Although, of course, if we compare the situation with the Champions League, then in La Liga Real Madrid has a much more undeniable advantage, but in the Champions League Real Madrid is definitely not the main favorite.
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 06, 2022, 11:31:17 PM
I don't think Mbappe and Haaland can be included in the Real Madrid squad at the same time. They will now demand a lot of money.
But I think it is not impossible. Real Madrid has put some players on the transfer list, this can decrease the number of players' salaries. The possible problem that can happen is about the total number of players' salaries. While for transfer fees, I am sure Real Madrid has enough money to buy Haaland/Mbappe.
I would also not completely dismiss this option, considering it completely impossible. Real Madrid may well sign both Mbappe and Haaland, despite the fact that it will be very, very difficult to do so. On the one hand, in this case, the Madrid club can be helped by the option that Mbappe will come to the club as a free agent and will only need to spend money on Haaland's transfer. On the other hand, the first option is by no means obvious and Paris Saint-Germain is making great efforts to extend the contract with the footballer. Another question is whether the players and especially their entourage will want to share the attention on themselves and financial resources in one club when there are still applicants for their signing.
