1261  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: where can I make a loan with collateral with small interest on: September 12, 2023, 06:43:42 AM
If you want to get a loan with physical properties, the best place to get the loan are banks. But the profit that you will pay will be high. You already know that if you failed to pay the loan, your property will be sold by the bank that you borrowed the loan.

If you think that you can borrow that kind of loan on this forum, I do not think that would be possible. Just go to bank to borrow the loan.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATOM token opinion on: September 11, 2023, 04:36:31 PM
I prefer bitcoin most.

Among the coins that you mentioned, Atom is the one that I know that is less volatile. If you are looking for a store of value, Atom is good.

I have bought and hold osmosis before and I regret it. The APR was 21% but it is too volatile and reducing in value. It is around 10% APR now. Atom APR is around 18% and less volatile.

I am really sorry that many people lost their funds to hackers who hacked vitalik account on Twitter but we need to discuss this, it's for your own good when people on here tell to stop seeking for free stuffs, because if it's free you are the product.
This is not the first of its kind. Twitter accounts of those big men are hacked almost every week. But people will never learn.

Satoshi himself is not safe, if you get messages from them, even if it's the real them, and they ask for your key, my brother and sisters RUN.
If Satoshi wants to do giveaway and able to sign a message with one of the old bitcoin address, I will go for it. But it would be that we should only provide bitcoin address. If it is getting to I should pay, that is a scam.
1264  Other / Meta / Re: Please I keep getting logged out of the forum from my browser and don't know why on: September 11, 2023, 09:45:36 AM
Which browser are you using at the moment, and have you tried using a different one?
That is a good question. OmegaStarScream even asked if CryptoHeadlineNews is using incognito. Then I later think that some browsers are incognito browser. If CryptoHeadlineNews is using a browser like that, the browser will keep erasing all the browsing history.

@CryptoHeadlineNews. If you are not using incognito browser, my advise is that should reinstall the browser app. Or you can clear your browser storage. If you clear your browser storage, all information stored on it will all be erased and the browser will become like new.

If the problem still continues, you can use browsers like Duckduckgo for mobile or Firefox for desktop.
1265  Other / Meta / Re: Please I keep getting logged out of the forum from my browser and don't know why on: September 11, 2023, 09:29:29 AM
Are you using incognito mode? Are you clearing your cookies/cache and history from your browser? How does it happen exactly? You're just browsing the forum, and then you refresh to find yourself logged out?
Using incognito mode can not lead to your Bitcointalk account to be logged out automatically, it only help people browsing history not to be recorded on the browser used.

This can not be cookies. Bitcointalk does not send any cookies link for someone to accept or reject. I do not really know about how cookies can be related to this. I may not be exactly right.

If you visit a website, you look for an item on the website. If you visit the website again, you will easily see similar items again. The cookies stored on your browser makes that possible. Also if you visit another website, you will be seeing similar items and also you will see ads of the item on another sites. That is the work of cookies.

I'm not using any VPN of any kind, and I was thinking it could be as a result of maybe since my browser was outdated, should be the reason for this, but I updated it and I keep experiencing the log out, but haven't tried clearing cookies, which I will go do it now.
Make sure that it is not someone that is doing it. Change your device password.

Did you checked always stay logged in when you wanted to login the last time?

If you did not check always stay logged in, you will automatically be logged out at the time specified. Check always stay login.
1267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are looking for a New Meme coin project Check DingDang.io on: September 10, 2023, 12:28:53 PM
First I will want to you welcome to the forum and also try to get a copper account to allow you present an image of your project towards this forum, Lastly I can see that there is no website or any social link that leads to your project as you only posted few words about project. This doesn't show any full narratives of what you do and the whole concepts of your project, therefore it's advisable to present your project in a proper way followed by the media links and that associates with your brands.
So that he can come with another ponzi project. Many coins that are lunched since 2017 are ponzi scheme in modern fashion in a way the government can not do them (the developers) anything. Coins ICOs are worse than ponzi scheme.
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Reddit coins? on: September 10, 2023, 11:28:43 AM
There is no any social media coin that I know of. The social media that want to have a coin like Libra for Facebook did not become a reality.

Is Reddit want to have any coin? I do not think so.
1269  Other / Meta / Re: Too Many Forum Boards - Outdated Threads - Let's Delete Boards on: September 10, 2023, 10:15:04 AM
~snip~
If something is outdated, it doesn't mean that it still doesn't serve its purpose, and if something bothers you so much that it stings your eyes, then simply ignore that board and you won't see it at all.
I will say that too to bitcoin discussion child boards. Most people are not visiting the boards but the boards are important. But there are some boards that should not be existing on this forum. Example are mycelium board and bitcoin wallet for Android board. Those boards needs to be ceased and let people post about the wallets on wallet software.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Father of Ethereum's X account got hacked on: September 10, 2023, 06:24:13 AM
Why would someone bother to hack an account of a well-known personality on Twitter and then publish a fraud that is easy to notice? I understand that the reason for hacking is to prove that I am better at programming or to destroy someone's reputation, but the number of hacks was very systematic, which indicates a problem with the X platform or a development in hackers .
X is a bad place to start your investments. Always check the links several times and do not trust the account, no matter how reliable and verified it is.
The scammers prefer to use cryptocurrencies for scam and most crypto enthusiasts prefer to use Twitter mostly. I will not blame Twitter at all because those people like Vitalik Buterin are the ones that are careless. This is not a new method for scammers, but those celebrities and people like Vitalik Buterin prefer to let their account to remain vulnerable so that hackers can use it to scam other people.
1271  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: alternative to coinomi (android) on: September 09, 2023, 09:40:29 PM
Added to this,  their fee estimation is pretty vague so you can't estimate the actual fee without looking into https://mempool.space/ like site.

You can't see all the addresses until the created one atleast get a successful transaction.

So as said its good wallet for multiple coins but definitely not the one for Bitcoin.
I have not used it before for bitcoin. The last time I used Electrum wallet because the wallet do not have RBF. I could have used the wallet but the RBF it does not have for bitcoin will not let me use it. Even if I am using Electrum, I still use jochen-hoenicke.de or mempool.space for fee. There can be a good wallet that do not estimate the fee accurately too.

If you send to the wallet, the address will change to another one but you can not see all the addresses, that is true.

It is a good wallet for many coins but not also supporting many coins like that. There are many coins that it is not supporting and it is support just only the peg of some coins like doge. If you want me to begin, I can name many coins it is not supporting but I like it because it is open source.
1272  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: alternative to coinomi (android) on: September 09, 2023, 09:19:25 PM
I need a good multicurrency wallet, and a good bitcoin wallet in the same app.

coinomi supported all the best altcoins, and it was an amazing bitcoin wallet. It supported coin control, sign messages, all address formats and so on.

Does Unstoppable supports these bitcoin features? I will give it a try.
I used Coinomi for a while and I knew it support signing message and customizing fee, but I did not see it having coin control, I have it on mobile device. Probably it would be the desktop device that has coin control because I have not seen it there before on mobile. It is a close source wallet.

Coinomi is supporting all bitcoin address format until P2TR was activated. It is not supporting P2TR.

Unstoppable wallet support legacy, nested segwit, native segwit and P2TR bitcoin addresses.

It is not supporting coin control.

It can not sign a message.

You can use it to customize fee.

Separate your bitcoin wallet from those altcoins because there is not better wallets like those wallet that support bitcoin only like Electrum, Sparrow, Bluewallet. Coinomi even lacks many things that these wallets supports.
1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Want to covert 7$ worth of BTC into XMR on: September 09, 2023, 08:04:45 PM
You can use exch. Exch is accepting Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero, Ethereum and ERC20 tokens. If you want to convert to minero with the cheapest fee, use the exchange.

This is exch website: https://exch.cx/

To calculate the fee, you can input the amount that you want to exchange to minero to to see the fee before you press on exchange to exchange the coin. If you can not not go with 1% fee, you can change it from flat fee to dynamic fee of about 0.5% fee.

0.5 to 1% of $7 is not high at all as fee.
1274  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: alternative to coinomi (android) on: September 09, 2023, 07:38:08 PM
The first impression was disappointing though: it shows 4 shitcoins by default, and Tor wasn't enabled. So the default settings need instant changing.
They're also a NFT link on the screen, and unfortunately I can't find how to get rid of it.
I am not into NFT and I did not almost notice the NFT. I do not know how it even works.

It does not support TOR by default and most wallets does not. You can go to settings to enable Tor and it works as usual.

Unstoppable is not for bitcoin. It is  supporting bitcoin but people using bitcoin wallet can not use it because it is a shit bitcoin wallet. It is made for shitcoins.
1275  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin forum app store on: September 09, 2023, 11:52:38 AM
Hello! I want to develop a mobile application Bitcoin forum app store. What do you think?
It can not be useful for me, except the layout is like on desktop. I do use mobile app very well, but I prefer it to like it is in desktop mode. If you can do it like that, it would be good.

But as for me, I will prefer to use this forum directly on a browser.
1276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Bitcoin Wallet for Android stopped synchronizing with the blockchain on: September 08, 2023, 09:57:28 AM
Thank you for this topic and I hope your questions will be answered.

I have downloaded the wallet before. The reason I did not use the wallet is because I was not able to see the seed phrase so that I can do the  backup.

Because I thought it is a good wallet, I look for the backup file to know if I can backup the wallet file not encrypted in a way I can be able to see my seed phrase or my master private key but you have to backup the file encrypted. That means it will require hard way if the wallet has a problem in a way I will have to depend on another wallet. That can happen, you may have to export your seed phrase or private key from one wallet to another to spend your bitcoin, but Bitcoin wallet for Android is not made like that and I did not use it.

Have you deleted the wallet app, download it back and import the wallet file again?
1277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My first sell with BITCOIN after some months of introducing crypto as a payment on: September 08, 2023, 07:53:31 AM
This topic belongs more to the altcoin board because you are talking about USDT not bitcoin.

This is your topic title:

My first sell with BITCOIN after some months of introducing crypto as a payment

This is what you later post:

Recently, a customer made a purchase with USDT.

It is not your first sold with bitcoin, it is your first sold with a stable coin or altcoins or a cryptocurrency.
1278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My decision on bitcoin on: September 08, 2023, 07:43:56 AM
I recently created a post asking if I should buy bitcoin now or wait for the dip, and majority of the response I got from the post, advised that I should buy now rather than waiting for the dip due to its volatile nature, and I'm satisfied with this response and I'm willing to bear the risk.
If it is on this forum that you ask that question, some people will also tell you to DCA. Buying now or starting to DCA now are all good because bitcoin price for now is not high at all and you are only buying the dip.

Reason for all these questioning, I have a dream of becoming a long term bitcoin holder but, dreams aren't achieved with words alone, an action is needed for the start up, so I have decided to sell one of my less used phone for the purpose of buying bitcoin.
I'm really eager to purchase my first bitcoin in satoshi.
If your old phone is not useful for you anymore, you can sell it to buy bitcoin because your phone will continue to become old and the price will become less as it becomes more old.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: September 07, 2023, 03:35:49 PM
Today marks the second year that El Salvador made bitcoin a legal tender.

On September 7, 2021, the Bitcoin Law came into effect and bitcoin became legal tender in El Salvador, making it the first country in the world to do so.

Well, what are the selfish goals pursued by Bukele? You have an answer to this question. I'm curious to read about it.
With how I understand Aanuoluwatofunmi post, he is not talking about the El Salvador president to be selfish, he his is referring to the person he quoted. He is referring to this post:

As I wrote, the states never do anything for no reason out of the goodness of their hearts. They always pursue their own selfish goals. In this case, El Salvador has become a pilot site for a new alternative money transfer and payment system.
It is even difficult to imagine the amount of money that was allocated for this operation. They will need to be returned. How will this happen? Will show time.
1280  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Usb Encryption on: September 07, 2023, 03:04:40 PM
1) Divide the seeds and store them separately, for example, into four parts, and store each part in a safe place (dangerous because if you lost any part, this mean you lost your coins).
This should not be mentioned at all. It is one of the worst ways to backup seed phrase.

2) Extend the seed with an extra word and save it independently.
3) Create a multi-signature address 2 of 3 and save it in a trusted location that no one else can access together.
Multisig is secure than single sig wallets online wallet, not for backup if you get how to backup the single signature wallet correctly. If you use a passphrase with the seed phrase, that is enough. If you like you can backup the wallet using USB drive or not. If the passphrase is strong enough, you are good.

If it is online security, multisig wallet is better. But its transaction fee is higher than single sig wallet transaction fee. For online wallets, I will advise people to use multisig wallet, but if it is a cold wallet or hardware wallet, single sign wallet is not bad either, despite that the multisig wallet of the same type is more secure.
