Bournemouth has now scored two goals against Arsenal. Scored the second goal with a beautiful and strong header. Who would have thought!! Bournemouth is presently leading the league leaders with 2 goals to nil. I definitely didn’t see this coming.

If Arsenal loses this game, it would surely be humiliating. Presently, I still have some faith in Arsenal that they could come back and perhaps come out with a draw if not a win.
Bournemouth would definitely now play more of a defensive game than an attacking one and try to hold the game till the end.

The game between Arsenal and Bournemouth has kicked off and kicked off with a blast. Bournemouth has scored a goal within seconds of the kickoff whistle to put them in the lead. I think that was a good move on the part of Bournemouth to score an early goal to slightly put arsenal off their game.
Arsenal is pressing harder and harder on Bournemouth goal but haven’t been able to score an equalizer so far. I think Bournemouth is playing a more defensive game than an attacking one cause Arsenal, despite having more of the ball is finding it a bit difficult to score.

The game is seemingly played just on the Bournemouth side of the pitch as Arsenal has been struggling with little success to equalize. If they put up with the attacks, they definitely would score.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 04, 2023, 02:24:48 PM
Manchester United has just got their second goal! A goal scored scored by Silva. Silva, having just come on, replacing De Bruyne has just scored a goal. It was a nice flick of a pass by Haaland that gave Silva the opportunity to put the ball at the back of the net. Manchester City is probably not done yet as they’re still looking to score more goals.
I still think Newcastle is still in this game and could very well make a comeback. While I don’t see Newcastle winning the game, I still think they could still score a goal. They’ve been playing well and have gotten some good chances.
You probably meant to say Manchester City, right?

2nd goal - this means that Newcastle is doomed. Now they will not be able to recoup and M.City got another 3 points. I don't believe that even a draw is possible. M.City will definitely keep the advantage in the match until the end.

We are waiting for a response from Arsenal. Let's see what they will show in the match, which will start soon.

Yes, I did mean Manchester City. Perhaps, I’m thinking of the game between Manchester United and Liverpool tomorrow. Can’t wait for that game. The game between Manchester City and Newcastle is almost over. Just 4 minutes of added time now. I had thought Newcastle would be able to score at least one goal but I was wrong.
Newcastle had been playing better in the second half but still couldn’t score a goal. Manchester city is obviously the better team of the two and with their two goals in this game, they’ve gone ahead and claimed the three points as theirs.

The match between Manchester City and Newcastle United promises to be very interesting. The visitors have been in a weaker form lately, they haven't won the last 4 matches, but today they will certainly be well prepared. I'm counting on a good show and a lot of goals, I bet over 2.5 goals.

The game is definitely an interesting one. Manchester City is already ahead by an early goal that was credited to Foden. Newcastle hasn’t been playing too badly also as they’ve been having some opportunities to put a ball in the back of the post but just haven’t been able to score. I still think both teams are likely to score.
They’ve added 2 more minutes extra time as there hasn’t been a lot of stoppages. The first half is pretty much over with Manchester City being in the lead. A well deserved lead. The second half would definitely be more exciting as both teams would come out to the second half hungry for goals.
1266  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefit from Higher Education? on: March 02, 2023, 04:23:59 PM
Personally, I think someone could very well own and manage a business without having a high school diploma and do it successfully too. I’ve met some people that despite having a higher level of education, they’re still very skillful in their business and they’re doing well.
It all comes down to being skillful and good at your job cause a higher education can’t literally instill skills inside of you.

A higher education would boost up your qualifications and there is nothing to it if you’ve got some sort of education. While a higher education isn’t necessarily a must have when venturing into entrepreneurship, it is still very important to acquire some sort of education and furthermore, knowledge.
1267  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the cost of living in your country? on: March 01, 2023, 10:53:49 PM

How popular would you say Crypto and Crypto-Gambling is in Pakistan?

I find in countries with unstable governments like Nigeria, Ukraine etc there is a lot of crypto-gamblers and crypto enthusiasts.

While bitcoin is popular among Nigerians as you’re going to find a lot of crypto enthusiasts, I’m curious on how you came about Nigeria having an unstable government. Perhaps a not so great economy at the moment but certainly not an unstable government.

Ukraine and Nigeria, as well as loads of other countries has bitcoin enthusiasts cause of what bitcoin has personally done for them and not necessarily cause of fucked up economies or unstable governments
1268  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: February 28, 2023, 08:59:47 PM
Money and having an education are equally important. Everyone needs money same as everyone needs some sort of education.

Having an education in my opinion, isn’t all about having the knowledge and the top certification that would enable you get a good paying job. It also involves learning the proper etiquette and manners on how to behave responsibly amongst others.

Money is no doubt important but having an education comes with more than just having a degree or being certified, it comes with lots more things not excluding money.
1269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching teenagers about bitcoin. on: February 28, 2023, 05:42:50 PM
It is very new to them, and I believe they are not engaged with the internet, so they are intrigued. Also, how practical it is, meaning most things taught in schools are coming from books, history, etc., but we don't teach us how to earn money, so basically, if they introduce bitcoin, they will really get curious as it involves a huge amount of money. I am hoping that he can show a visual to the students on sending and receiving bitcoins so that it is more interactive.

I highly doubt that bitcoin is new to them. Bitcoin has and is still spreading far and wide and almost everyone that uses the internet must have heard about bitcoin one way or the other. And what teen today isn’t engaged with the internet?
They may not know much about bitcoin and probably would have heard mainly untruths and misinformation about bitcoin and that’s why the OP is doing a good job of trying to simplify and explain things how they would understand better. Hopefully, this would increase their interest and in turn would lead to increased adoption rate.
1270  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: February 28, 2023, 05:16:08 PM
Renting is definitely a waste of money and many cannot afford to buy their own homes and cars then they were forced to travel by van and bus. Spend money very judiciously don't waste money on unnecessary purchases, instead spend money on necessities. If you have a little more income then you can spend a little more if necessary you can save it if you want.

Renting is definitely not a waste of money. There are a lot of people that can’t afford to buy their own house and that’s why they rent. How’s that a waste of money to you?
You also mentioned we should instead of spending on unnecessary things , to spend money on necessities. Housing yourself doesn’t sound like a necessity to you? If you haven’t got enough to buy a house, you should go live on the streets cause renting is a waste of money and heavens forbid we waste money on wasteful things like renting.
1271  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: African government against or for crypto?? on: February 28, 2023, 04:04:34 PM
I won't go into a debate but I want to present you all with some facts. total 22 African countries are living in poverty due to a draconian law known as - the Franc of the French Colonies in Africa!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFA_franc

It's a draconian law that ensures that France remains one of the richest countries in the world. In March 2008, former French President Jacques Chirac said:

“Without Africa, France will slide down into the rank of a third [world] power”

reference: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/14-african-countries-forced-france-pay-colonial-tax-benefits-arnold/

So it's great for the African nations to adopt crypto at all levels of society and also they need to encourage its use to move out of the evil eyes of the French government. Only and only cryptocurrency adoption will save their fortune and keep the power themselves.

I had read through the article you presented and I must say I’m appalled. It’s such a shame that such things are allowed to go on today. France are the only ones benefiting massively from all this. Riding on the backs of countries seeking independence and “spreading democracy” everywhere asides from Africa.
France has always relied on Africa and would not let go of its cash cow so easily. So I guess it’s great for African nations to adopt bitcoin and a must to do away with colonialism.
1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bold step to invest my fiat in Bitcoin on: February 28, 2023, 09:15:40 AM
I appreciate your effort of getting BTC and let your eagerness and curiosity increase and maintain them to the end. If not mind I will like to know your location (Region), I mean your country. Because your intonation sound familiar. There is a statement that you made that is trying to or really call my attention, which you said, small scale businesses accept bitcoin in your area. And I will dispute that fact even though I don't know your identity and location. I am disagreeing with you on that based on the countries that have adopted bitcoin as a legal tender yet small scale businesses are rarely accept bitcoin.
Again I appreciate you for the purchase of bitcoin.

I wonder how his intonation sounds familiar when you probably haven’t heard the OP speak before. And it isn’t really hard to know the location of the OP as it’s obvious the OP is from Nigeria(judging from the currency used in the transaction).

And I would also like the OP to tell us more on the small scale businesses that accepts bitcoin as a method of payment. I would surely be happy to see more small scale businesses accepting bitcoin as it would encourage more businesses to do same and increase its adoption rate.
1273  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: February 27, 2023, 10:35:24 PM
Maybe its true, almost every card production companies have turned their attention towards the electric vehicles. Even Bentley have come up with its plan to debut electric vehicle by 2025. Then what will be the situation of the countries that depend completely on the oil economy. Maybe the percentage of production will vary, but the fuel vehicles will be in production parallel to the electric vehicles.

Yeah, major car manufacturers has been over the years, going with the flow and testing the waters with electric run cars and have now added electric run cars to their machine lines.
Countries that solely depend on oil for their energy needs would find it much harder to switch to electric cars. And I doubt such countries would just stop or reduce production of gasoline run vehicles. Personally, I think it’s wishful thinking if we think we’re going to totally phase out gasoline run vehicles by 2035.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 27, 2023, 04:12:32 PM
I don't think it will be possible for Manchester united to play all three clubs to win the cup. Manchester united might only play two out of the three clubs which I don't see it as a big challenge for Manchester united. They have succeeded the toughest club which is Barcelona.

With Manchester united present form, the team will be able to defeat Arsenal in any encounter. Arsenal won them in EPL recently doesn't mean Arsenal can win them again. I saw that game that Eric Hag gambled with that match because he was looking for a draw but it turned to be a do defeat. As for Roma and Juve,it won't be a easy for Manchester united to win these two clubs but I think they have more advantage of winning these two clubs because they can't be predicted anymore after their victory over Barcelona.

With Manchester United present form, they could play and win anyone, Arsenal included. The fact that Arsenal had won them earlier in the premier league doesn’t mean they can win them again. Manchester United has gotten so much better.
I believe Manchester United pretty much has the drive and pressure to go ahead and win any team they encounter. And now that they have got the right leadership in the form of the coach Ten Hag, it’s just a matter of time before the trophies come rolling in.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 27, 2023, 03:04:47 PM
Chelsea continue to drop points. Yesterday they lost 2-0 to Tottenham. This loss is not good for them. Graham Potter and his team can't get it together. It's not good for them. They need to recover as soon as possible. There's nothing like the Chelsea of yesteryear. This team won the Champions League a couple of years ago. Now they're almost relegated from the league. They need to solve this with either a change of manager or a few transfers as soon as possible.

The losses are definitely not good for them. And they don’t seem to be able to get it together.
A change in manager so quickly may not be as easy as it would seem. Potter must have had some amazing qualifications that enabled him land the job as head coach. But we can’t exactly see those qualities as Chelsea is still not doing well.
And it is surprising, this are the winners of the champions league 2020-2021 season. I do hope they can make some much needed tactical changes which can turn things around. They’ve already got the players.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 27, 2023, 11:12:19 AM
Manchester United under Ten Tag is capable of winning any trophy, they're determined and confidence on the field. The game against Newcastle yesterday was very technical and tough, but Ten Tag used experience to clinch the title. I still believe that Manchester United will win Europa cup and the FA cup, if they maintain this winning mentality in all the games ahead.

Ten Hag now has a trophy win under his belt with Manchester United and I believe there is so much more to come. The boys have been playing well and deserve the trophy win after going through some years without any trophy wins. I believe this would give the players the much needed confidence boost that they so desperately need. With this, they could go ahead and win more trophies.

I think this goes to show that Manchester United has undergone some changes under Ten Hag. It’s obvious they’re playing much better and with more confidence and control too. This would be the first trophy under him and hopefully, more to come.
1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 26, 2023, 09:15:15 PM
Manchester United finally won a trophy after a very long time. This just shows how much Ten Hag has worked on this team. There's still room for improvement and I believe he'll work on that too. This trophy will really boost the morale of the team. Now they would believe they can win more trophies and would  fight like people that want to win.
The win against Barcelona and this trophy win is a confidence boaster for United. The league might be a little too difficult to win but they can still win the FA cup and Europa league.

Yes, Manchester United is back to winning ways as they’ve lifted the three handled cup. This is Manchester United first cup win in about 6 years. Manchester United has been playing so well recently and totally deserve this win. Having been playing poorly and gone on without winning any cup for some years, the Red Devils are back.

The win against Barcelona and now this trophy win would definitely boost the morale of the team and should also put in them the drive to win and acquire more trophies to their name. Perhaps, Ten Hag is the man who would bring back the glory days of Manchester United.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 26, 2023, 08:28:46 PM
Dunno for how long Chelsea will act like a clown. It is an embarrassment for their fans. Some of them even threatened the coach which reflects how bad the situation there and it could degenerate further.
Today they lost with 2-0 vs Spurs, 2 successive defeats and 6 matches without a win. Their defeats outnumbered their victory Lips sealed
Next match vs Leeds, hopefully they could win this time..

It’s definitely something to worry about and the patience of the fans are quickly running thin. I think with this loss, the morale of both the management, the players and the fans are running an all time low. The situation is really bad and doesn’t look like they’re coming out of their bad spell anytime soon.
Hopefully, they could go ahead and win their game against Leeds and claim the 3 points. And if they lose even that game, then perhaps all hope may have been lost for the lads at Chelsea. I do hope they win. They really need a win right now.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 26, 2023, 06:18:48 PM
Manchester United is doing very well, just first half Manchester dropped two goals, that's a nice play. Newcastle is having a stringent time.
Although is just first half and the match hasn't ended.  So let's see how the match culminates

Yeah, they’re doing really good. After having managed to score a goal and gotten a second one by an own goal. Its now the 85th minute and I honestly don’t see Newcastle coming back from this. Manchester United has played well so far although Newcastle has had more of the ball in their possession.
Manchester United just happens to make use of their opportunities more as they’ve had more attempts on goal as well as more shots on target than Newcastle does.
Manchester United should just hold tight and get the win and a clean sheet as well. It’s already theirs.
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 26, 2023, 04:10:29 PM
I do not know why Tuchel was not given more time. He was a fantastic manager before he joined Chelsea and was more decorated then Graham Potter. Potter did a good job with Brighton but as Brighton has proved it was the players at Brighton instead of only Potter. They are still performing well without him. Tuchel had success with Chelsea too he got them playing good football and were performing better then they are today. I wonder if it is possible that Chelsea offer another chance to Tuchel and if he would take it because of the way they treated him.

Yes, I believe Tuchel was hastily removed as he would have been given more time to make things better in his own way. Chelsea hasn’t improved a bit since he was let go as they’ve still been losing games. Personally, I had high hopes for this particular game with Tottenham as I thought they, this time around, had a very good chance of winning the game and changing their luck. They’ve had a bad run lately and I do feel pity for the squad as they’ve been trying so hard with little luck to win games.
