1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Victor Osimhen to the English Premier League on: June 25, 2023, 10:10:12 PM
Victor Osimhen is a Nigeria professional footballer and presently the striker for Napol in Italian League, he is one of the best striker in the world, he is performing exceptionally well that have attracted big clubs from England mostly, planning to bid the market on him during the transfer market. The question now is that can he perform in the English premier league? English premier league is one of the toughest league in the world consist of strong and fast defenders. We all know that most players who come from the Italian league does not really perform in English premier league for example, is players like Tammy Abraham who couldn’t perform effectively in the English Premier league went on to become one of the best player in AS Roma, we see players like Gonzalo Higuain who didn’t perform at all in the English premier league but was one of the best players in the Italian league , Victor Osimhen is a very good and strong player, can he adapt to the English Premier league?

The premier league is one of the toughest and strongest league in the world and we have seen many players failed after a move to the premier league. It is really difficult to adapt in the league but Victor is a player who is dedicated and a player who plays with passion and heart when in the pitch he gives 100 percent, such a player can hardly fail wherever he goes. It might be difficult but I don’t think Osimhen will fail to perform in the premier league. His style of play is very similar to Haaland who is giving premier league a show in his first season so I don’t think Osimhen should be different though his performance still depends on the team he signs for. Manchester city has always be a top team and maybe the reason why Haaland finds it easy to adapt to the league.

Players who struggle in the league aren't truly fighters; when things don't go their way, they simply give up and quit battling. One of the things I enjoy about Osimhen is that he never gives up until the very last second. He plays with effort and emotion and is a very energetic athlete. I’d really like him to move to the premier league so we can have a Haaland - Osimhen competition, it will be an interesting challenge the league will ever witness.

1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 24, 2023, 08:57:36 PM
Manchester United have big ambitions for Mason Mount, and Erik Ten Hag would be thrilled if he could join his squad this summer. United are looking for possible players that fit their style of play. Mason Mount has made up his mind to leave the club; he wants Chelsea exits, and the club has turned down bids from Manchester United. The red devils had made significant proposals for the Englishman, but they had all been rejected by Chelsea. I'm not sure why the Blues will be hesitant to let Mason Mount go; he's a great player in the club, which is wonderful, but that doesn't mean they should keep him against his wishes.

We will always be grateful for what he has done for the club, despite the fact that he was once one of our finest players. He has done a lot for the club, including helping to create the game-winning goal against Manchester City in the 2021 Champions League final. I wish he didn't have to go in this manner and at such a young age, and I wish he could have joined the club's hall of fame like his coach Frank Lampard. The fact that he was criticized by the fans and had poor performance the previous season, in my opinion, was the primary factor in his decision to leave the team and not agree to a new contract extension.

Chelsea isn't reluctant to let him go, but rather they know how good Mason Mount is, which is why they don't want to accept a low price from Man United. However, Manchester United is aware of the circumstance and how badly Mount wants to leave, which is why they are bringing a bid lower than what Chelsea are demanding. I believe Chelsea should take the offer at this point because if they don't get rid of him before the end of the summer, he will become a free agent and we will lose everything.

People don’t like to be forced to do things, and if i was in there shoe I wouldn’t want that either. Bitcoin should be taught to people who show initial interest in it or people who are curious to know about it. People often talk about teaching bitcoin to their children here but I always kick against it not because its bad but because its not the will of the children to learn. Bitcoin is not new to the world anymore and people here stories about it either how others make profit or how other lost some huge amount due to greed, so since the word bitcoin is everywhere anyone who has developed interest in it and really wants to know about it should be taught about it.
1265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help and encourage newbies to grow. on: June 24, 2023, 04:22:29 PM
When i came into the forum I found It a little difficult finding my way around and could barely relate or reply to some posts but I took it upon myself to learn the ethics and norms of forum and know what it's all about. And as time went by my journey here became easier even though I'm still under a learning process.
I've come to understand that the forum is not a competition and everyone here have a say so far you're not going against the rules guiding the forum. So rather than being discouraged by some negative replys from senior ranking members, let your mistakes serve as your motivation, do not give up and don't be in a haste to do unnecessary things that would get you banned.

Virtually everyone new to the forum always fund it hard to relate properly in the forum just as it is in real life there are quite a number of people who finds it difficult to relate freely in a new environment, they are not usually like that but because they are new and not used to the environment yet they will not be free to relate with everyone at the beginning but as time goes on they get used to things and begin to express themselves and even make friends. So it is normal to pass through this stage in the forum thats why people advise to utilize this time to read and learn about how things are done in the forum before tou start making posts that may probably end up being a shit post.

One of the difficulties you have as a new member of the forum is getting harsh criticism from experienced members when you make a mistake. All of these comments are meant to motivate you rather than discourage you. They think that newcomers should all prioritize learning and asking questions above posting.

One other thing that's motivated me is the posts from high ranking members, so sometimes instead of rushing to reply I take my time in going through the profile of these members to see their post and take note of those quality contents that got them merited by others, we learn everyday and I believe that's one of the reasons why satoshi created the forum, feel free to ask questions so as to learn because the more you remain ignorant about things in the forum the lesser you grow.

Instead of rushing for recognition, you should concentrate on producing high-quality content. All of these high-quality posts from these higher ranks are the outcome of the knowledge they have amassed. When you create insightful posts, the merits will follow naturally. Instead of attempting to emulate another person, just acquire the knowledge and be yourself on the forum.

The ideology of this post is to motivate newbies that find it difficult moving forward, cause I believe the're people that fall under such Category, feel free to drop some words of encouragement for them.

Good motivational speach, alot of members fall in this category that lacks the confidence to actually express themselves properly due to one or two reasons. Moving up the ranks is actually up to you, its not a difficult thing to do and with the right mindset you will be surprised how well and how far you will advance.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 23, 2023, 11:21:39 PM
Newcastle are expected to do well in the Champions League next season, but like you, I also doubt they can progress from the group stage to the last 16. Maybe it all depends on their form and who they face, but I believe Newcastle will find it difficult to progress further than the group stage.

Newcastle has made significant progress, so it would be premature to assume that they won't advance past the group stage. Even without adding new players, they have the potential to reach the knockout rounds if they are fortunate enough to not be placed in a particularly difficult group and are able to replicate their performance from the previous year. I am aware that they lack experience and that the league may be different from the Premier League, but if they continue in this vein, they will surprise everyone. In addition, they have their sights set on adding quality players to the team, like Chiesa, Tonalli, Maddison, and others. They are aware that if they want to compete seriously next season, they need players of this caliber.

Providing they continue the enthusiasm, determination, and motivation from the previous season, I have no doubt that they can pull off something amazing and surprise us in the champions league if they can sign these players. Their goal is to compete for the top four spots and be recognized among elite teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United.

Manchester United is different, of course. I think Manchester United is a team that has experience in the Champions League which then allowed them to qualify from the group stages and reach the higher stages. I hope Manchester United can qualify for the quarter-finals, but of course it's true that they have to improve their players first before entering the competition next season.

United has had some prior experiences, so if their group is not too tough, I believe they should be able to get to the knockout stages. United's transfers thus far haven't been particularly impressive, but if they can bolster their squad with more quality players, that would be beneficial. They also need to improve their form because last season they lacked consistency and were only fortunate enough to finish in the top four due to Chelsea and Liverpool's sudden resurgence.

1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 23, 2023, 09:31:40 AM
De Gea made serious mistakes and was responsible for the defeat of Manchester United in some games. I think he will remain the main goalkeeper but any new goalkeeper will replace him whenever he is out of form and might overtake him if he fails to prove himself.
Manchester United is already exploring for prospects to replace De gea because of his occasional costly errors, which amply demonstrate how quickly he is losing effectiveness. They need a world-class goalkeeper, more of a modern goalkeeper someone who is young and active to be able to compete and fight for the league. De gea is already 32 years old, and his bones are weakening. If United is searching for alternatives, I don't blame them. I believe it's the appropriate move. Andre Onana of Inter Milan, who only recently joined Inter as a free agent, is already being linked to Manchester United.  The cameroonian was very impressive this season both in their domestic league and in the champions league. Inter will make profit from selling onana who joined as a free agent.

With Havertz, Rice and even Timber, Edu is smart. The team is looking for players that can play multiple roles. All their targets can play two or three roles and this is very good for a team like Arsenal and a coach like Arteta who can deploy up to 3 or 4 formations and playing styles in one match. I trust in whatever Arteta’s buys for the club. For Havertz, he is a good signing,  never seemed fully settled at Chelsea always playing different positions and so many managers with different play styles.

We cannot determine whether a team's purchases are good or not until the players begin performing well for the team. We have witnessed many players who we believed were good signings for the club fail, including Havertz for Chelsea, Sancho, Hazard for Madrid, Ziyech, Werner, and so on. However, we have also witnessed some average signings who no one talked about become stars for some clubs. Therefore, it makes no difference who the coaches add, what counts is that they learn to adjust quickly and avoid becoming failures. Although Rice would make the team even stronger, all of the Arsenal signings up to this point have demonstrated talent. Let's just hope they are all adapt easily and perform to their peak.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 22, 2023, 10:57:14 PM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.
This is really true no one wants to accept the bad character they are attributed to, even a thief who clearly sees that he is a thief will still deny it. Addicted gamblers are worse they also deny when people refer to them as an addict and they easily get annoyed when they are being called an addict. I have seen someone fight his friends for calling him an addicted gambler. Being addicted is not a good thing but equally its not that bad when you can accept it and work towards reducing your addiction for it, it may be difficult but not impossible.
I won’t like being called an addict but I won’t find it offensive either. If i am one i would easily accept who i am and work towards reducing it because i will be ashamed when people call me an addict.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 22, 2023, 10:33:08 PM

With a squad like Manchester City, Nunez might have scored a lot of goals. Not to say that the Liverpool squad is weak. However, since Sadio Mane left the team, Liverpool's performance has completely collapsed. And their performance was very erratic. Because of this, the team has not consistently performed better than Nunez. However, in the last few games of the season, Liverpool played very well and their performance was stable. Therefore, it is expected that Liverpool's performance will not be irregular in the next season. At the same time, Nunez will be able to score a lot of goals if he gets enough support from his teammates.

I too think Liverpool performance has dwindled after the departure of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich and they haven’t quite recovered fully enough from it although we can’t actually classify them as a weak team. I still believe Darwin Nunez still has a role to play at Liverpool and perhaps doesn’t get enough support from his teammates like you noted.
With a squad like Manchester City, I believe Nunez would definitely have scored much more then he did. Nevertheless, the next season would probably be better for the lad and in general for the club if they could maintain some sort of consistency in their performances.

Mane's departure actually affected Liverpool's performance. in fact, I think it contributed to how poorly they started the season and their inability to make the Champions League. They signed multiple talents after selling Mane, but they still need time to settle in. Quality players Luiz Diaz and Nunez must still adapt in order to fill the void left by Mane. Mane made a significant contribution to Liverpool by supporting Salah and making their attacks more aggressive when he was present. Although Gakpo and Nunez need more time, I think they will hit their peak because they are talented.
Nunez will score in Liverpool as well so its not until he plays in a team like Manchester City, Liverpool is also an attacking team he got couple of chances and he missed most of them if not he would also be challenging Haaland for the highest goal scorer if he was as clinical in front of goal.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Friendly Match is Hard to Predict on: June 22, 2023, 07:57:22 PM
Friendly matches are difficult to predict and its not advisable to bet on them because since its just a friendly game the teams will not put enough effort as they should, the players also will not give their best because they wouldn’t want to risk being injured in a friendly match. And the coach we want all the players to play so after some time the Coach will bring in as many substitutes player as he can. That way the outcome of the game will change and it will affect the results. I don’t Take friendly matches seriously and that’s why I don’t even bother to bet on them because I know the results will not be as it should be so why waste time on them.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: June 22, 2023, 12:26:19 PM
When betting i don’t let my emotions take charge, nobody wants his team to loose but when the odds are not in favor of my team and in actuality i can clearly see it would be difficult for my team then i will have to bet against them but in most cases i often choose not to bet on the game, i skip that match because I can’t bear to see my team loose. But come to think of it, if the odds are against your team and you end up placing a bet against them and the outcome was positive, your team lost but you won the bet i don’t think you will be sad about the outcome. It happened to me once and i was not that sad because i have money to spend. Its just like someone pay you if your team losses.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 22, 2023, 12:09:42 PM
It looks like Manchester United have also joined the race for Declan Rice. Their deal is likely to be like money + Maguire or McTominay. Maybe not Maguire but McTominay might be favourable by West Ham side. Because Rice is also a defensive midfielder like McTominay so they might find it okay to think about it.

But of course the money part must be convincing for West Ham. Because Arsenal look ready to pay even 100 million euros for Rice now. As far as I have heard West Ham have been demanding around this amount. His market value is already 90 million euros and he is a young and solid player. I'm not surprised with this demand as a result.
Arsenal should understand that when you need a player's services, you simply have to be prepared to pay the team's asking price when they are keen on that price. Instead, they delayed concluding this Declan Rice's agreement, which produced all of this drama for themselves. Similar to how Arsenal lost Mudryk to Chelsea, when you hesitate to pay the asking price, another team may enter the fray in an attempt to sign the player. When they offer a better price and the offer is sufficiently persuasive, the team and player will quickly choose the better offer. They should have paid the 100m West ham was asking for when they were alone in the race but now that Manchester United have joined the race it may become difficult to secure this player. Arsenal needs to be more serious when buying a player.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 21, 2023, 11:38:49 PM
The person who acted foolishly in this situation was the owner of the betting store, perhaps he is new to the gambling business. The phrase "No bet on credit" is always prominently displayed on every betting establishment. The only circumstance in which bets may be placed on credit is when the bettor possesses property that is of sufficient value to serve as collateral for the payment of the debt and has a set amount of time—usually 48 hours—to pay it off. If the bettor defaults, the property will be sold and the proceeds used to settle the debt.

When you allow a gambler play on credit without any collateral it will be difficult to get the money back. The shop owner made a huge mistake and the only way out is to conclude to let him pay some percentage for a certain period until payment is completed.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 21, 2023, 11:14:07 PM
Joselu is not enough to replace Benzema's role?
joselu is a goal scorer, too, and not a bad player. He scored a few goals last season, but he is quite inexperienced in European competitions. Obviously, he is not up to the standard, and what Madrid needs is not just one average striker, but a highly rated, experienced striker who can play and promise an average of 20 to 30 goals per season, someone who can partner Vinicius properly. The two most significant strikers now on the market, Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen, will both blend in wonderfully. Else all i see is the second version of Luka Jovic, an average striker not up to Madrid standards.

It seems Kai Havertz is another exciting option for some teams like Arsenal and he is nearly a get in the market. However Havertz is under contract with Chelsea until 2024, but he got many offers from other teams like Arsenal and Real Madrid for the next season.

https://thehardtackle.com/transfer-news/2023/06/05/florentino-perez-prioritising-real-madrid-move-for-kai-havertz/
Havertz has already signed a contract with Arsenal, which will be disclosed shortly. Papers are being prepared, and the player will sign them soon. A 60 million pound fee has already been agreed upon with Chelsea. While clubs like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid showed interest, Havertz made it clear that Arsenal is where his heart belongs.  I think he deserves respect and I hope he succeeds at Arsenal despite the harsh criticism he had while playing at Chelsea. He proved his worth by helping Chelsea win the champions league.

Thomas Partey is one of the few strong midfielders in the team, but owing to severe injuries, he has grown inconsistent with the game and has never impressed the fans or coach after recuperation. He can leave and his absence will have little effect on the gunners, or even Granit Xhaka, who is practically out; let's see how the new midfield setup looks. It's fantastic to see the old players finally leaving Emirates Stadium. It's past time the Gunners selected new players and changed their game strategy. It is never too late to adjust the club's game strategy.

Partey actually had a good season for Arsenal last year, and if not for injuries, he would have been one of the league's finest, if not the best, midfielders. He provided the team's midfield with a lot of balance, which allowed them to win games with ease. The audience was meant to be supportive of his efforts, but toward the end they began to condemn him since they felt they no longer required his services due of his ongoing medical issues. Partey is about to go, and Xhaka has already left. This drastic change in the midfield could cost them the next season because the new players would require time to adjust to the new system. Declan Rice is the next objective if his deal is signed, it will be a major boost to the team. Havertz has already joined today. Arsenal now seems to want to work with younger players.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 21, 2023, 05:54:55 PM
contrary to this, it is unlikely that sevilla can afford any major signings with the clubs financial standing and yes, getting champions league football does not change that position. it is left to see if sevilla are able to get quality loan signings, else they would struggle with relegation like the just concluded season
It's difficult to fight in the Champions League when a team doesn't have high-quality players, but in the season that just finished Sevilla were still able to stay in the middle area of the final standings and it's not that close to relegation. But for next season Sevilla will have to fight even harder because they are already in a tougher competition apart from La Liga, because the Champions League is a league for the best teams from several domestic leagues.
The Champions League is, as its name suggests, a league for champions, the greatest teams in Europe. Sevilla had a pretty bad season, but winning the Europa League earned them a spot in the champions league next season, and with this, I believe they will also prepare ahead, am sure they will want to improve and add more players to their squad. Any team playing in the champions league will make huge preparations towards it. Due to the multiple competitions they will participate in and the fact that it will be a hectic season for them, they will require a more diverse team to cover for fatigue and injuries.

Its just like working for money and you are being paid for the work done and then you are being told the more you work the more the payment and without working there won’t be any payment, you will be motivated to work hard everyday so you can earn more money. Earning your first merits can be a huge motivation the feeling is actually pleasing and you wouldn’t want the feeling to stop. I was merited with my first post though when I joined this forum I wanted to understand bitcoin technically, i was not after the merits i just tried to engage myself in discussions and ask questions about things i wanted to learn more about and I noticed there is a special feeling when you receive merits.
Ranking up maybe challenging but merit hunting shouldn’t be your purpose on the forum, just try and make reasonable contributions to the forum and the merits will flow in naturally when someone admires your post or contributions.
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Important Points to Learn from Your Worst Sports Betting Losses! on: June 20, 2023, 06:11:24 PM
We've all suffered our fair share of setbacks. What is truly important, though, is how we respond to our worst betting losses and the lessons we learn from them. I believe we can turn these setbacks into profits with favorable outcomes by reflecting on our prior mistakes, implementing solid betting practices, and embracing a disciplined attitude. Here are my five most essential takeaways from my worst sports betting loss.

Any bet that is not yours will lose despite the fact that you have correctly assembled and examined all of this. Everything I've learned doesn't appear to be helping me win my bets, therefore I'm bored of attempting to research and alter the outcome of my bets. I am tired of reading about bets and now agree that it's pure luck and that no matter how cautious you are, the results won't change. It's even when I am being careful with my bets that I usually end up losing them.

Bankroll management strategy: Proper bankroll management is critical for long-term gaming success. Set up a separate budget for betting and make staking limits, such as restricting bets to a certain percentage of your total bankroll.

Disciplined betting: Maintaining a profitable betting strategy necessitates discipline. Even if you are feeling losses or emotions, stick to your set plans and avoid making premature selections.

These two points are the ones that I find the most useful out of all the things you said, when adopted they will help us bet responsibly and keep greed from taking control of us. These two points must be adopted and followed by all gamblers.
