1261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023? on: January 06, 2023, 09:29:31 AM
Quote
Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023?

Bitcoin is already dead. There will be no pumps in 2023 unless you flip the price chart upside down.
The price will pump, but the same won't happen in the large scale. If the market is dead we could've never experienced the market movement to stay over $16k for a long. According to the experts prediction the price won't experience a massive downturn or upwards movement. It gradually moves within specific limits and starts upward movement when we get near to halving.
It will but it may not occur this year but I have a strong feeling that it will happen next year. If all fails then maybe 2025 is surely be the date for it. There is no way that we can be like this forever because people will soon be bore and leave this market.

It still can happen in a large scale because I expect a wider adoption soon and then those who are supposed to be newbies have now gained a lot of experience to do better. Don't mind the guy above as he is only joking when he said the market is now dead. He is not a newbie anymore and he also doesn't look like he is a BTC hater like those guys who promote BSV where they already got a red trust for discrediting bitcoin.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can DeFi still be trusted?? on: January 05, 2023, 09:48:22 PM
I think that the work of smart contracts does not depend on the algorithm of the coin. If hackers find vulnerabilities in the smart contract, then you will also lose your investment. The average user will not get their money back in most cases, so I always say the benefit of earning 10-15% per year does not cover the risk of losing 100% of the investment.
The good thing you could do with this is not to put all your money into a single thing. If you do that then you are right that it will not be recovered and you will lose all your money, but if you do not do that and instead you put like 5% of your money into a single thing then the worst case would be losing 5% of your portfolio, the other 95% will be safe.

The exception being bitcoin because investing into bitcoin is a good way of making money when bull run comes, but for all the other defi type of stuff, you should have bunch of diversification so that you wouldn't lose all your money in a single day. That's my understanding though, maybe it won't work that well.
1263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term trading and scalping on: January 05, 2023, 09:05:52 PM
Short term trading or scalping usually have chance at new altcoin listing on the market exchange, for Bitcoin and several top altcoin seems difficult earn profit trough short term trading. I have been waiting for several day with Bitcoin and price still stable around from $16,600 until $16,900.

Having $300 changed price seems not profitable when trading with Bitcoin and having about $17,000 capital, have the same thing with potential or top ten altcoin standing on coin market cap like Ethereum, BNB and XRP. Seems not any drastically up or down values and need waiting few days later for earning profit as short term trading. Seems can't earn profit in daily day with several top altcoin or bitcoin nowadayw.
I think the reason why is because coins like BTC are way too heavy but new coins are still small and can be easy to manipulate, that is why we see an extreme volatility on them but we must be careful as this is also risky.

The price can dump and then it may not recover anymore so better if we can just wait for the top coins to return to their normal volatile state again and they are the ones that we should use for short term trading. I think that can also happen once we end this bear. This won't take long anymore because we are already in this new year and then we are getting closer to the halving event. Just have some patience.
1264  Economy / Speculation / Re: January bitcoin price out look on: January 05, 2023, 08:45:40 PM
I'm not going to make excessive speculation at this time, I'm more focused on buying bitcoins that will be held for the long term, so I won't make this analysis frustrating if I keep thinking about it, but one thing, of course, I expect any positive trend this January.

I saw in some recent articles that bitcoin will experience an increase at the beginning of this year allowing it to penetrate $ 20k, but this is still too far because currently it is still stuck at $ 16k and it is difficult to reach $ 17k.
Excessive speculations can be a waste of time since the price can still move as opposed to what we are speculating but you can not go wrong with buying and holding a Bitcoin. The price can fall but it will always bounce back so you still earn no matter what.

If there is only one thing that I can't agree with you for now then that is my prediction about this January is negative because the price of BTC is still the same. You know when it is positive if it started the first week even with some minor recoveries but no that didn't happen. Reaching $17k isn't that hard because it's only $1k away from the current price but $20k rather although it is possible since we already get there before.
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your wishes for BTC in coming years? on: January 05, 2023, 08:42:35 AM
Based on the situation in the world, my forecasts are optimistic about the BTC account. Of course, we all very often look back at how it all began and then look at how everything is happening now and, strangely enough, we see a missed opportunity. But what if we look to the future, because it is there in the future that we will succeed. Yes, I hope BTC gets more success in the future, but will it be allowed to do so? It is the banks that manage the money, and if BTC becomes money, then the banks will want to manage it, right? Or are they already in control? Unfortunately, it is precisely here that we cannot say exactly how it really is. All that remains for us is to believe in BTC and, of course, accumulate it in all available ways.
What happening outside has nothing to do with BTC. BTC do also have its own separate world but even if it's also gloomy here, this shouldn't be reason for us to lose hope. If you are a new comer here then you will think you miss a great opportunity but you shouldn't think like that. This bear is actually your opportunity or your stepping stone to become a millionaire in the near future. The success of BTC can also depend on us.

If we will only take care of our BTC, like we never sold it if it's not the proper time and we will only buy more then BTC will thank us one day. Banks can only manage their own money or the fiat but not BTC. It's decentralized so don't worry about it.
1266  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: January 04, 2023, 09:03:53 PM
Honestly premier league is looking more and more entertaining, aside from Liverpool of course and I know we have fans of LFC here, and that is so sad to see you guys like this now, but I know that there is a good chance we are going to end up with something that will be amazing for all of you guys eventually when you recover.

You need to see the dark before you could appreciate the light, and I know you have a past dark but been very white lately, gonna see the light again soon I hope. I feel like the best thing right now is to not lose hope for the direction of the club, and maybe next year you will be a lot better and can recover from this situation.
1267  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎁XMAS PARTY for $1 200 000| Win Mercedes-Benz G-Class & Crypto😎 on: January 04, 2023, 06:48:03 PM
I agree that many free faucets will sell fewer and fewer cryptocurrencies over time and then may disappear altogether.  This happens when the amount from one request becomes so meager and ridiculous that it simply does not make sense for people to collect such ridiculous money at all.  But not necessarily, and Betfury will completely stop giving away free tokens.  In addition, do not forget that as soon as bitcoin goes up in a bull market, all tokens, including BFG, will immediately begin to grow in price.  And this may well be the necessary profit for the player.
So not everything is so clear.
That is the hope, there is no guarantee about it though and that means we are talking about something that is only an expectation and nothing else which is why it's not a guaranteed thing. I believe that we should not be expecting it to go up just because bitcoin went up, and yes that is what should happen if BFG is as good as we think it is but what if it isn't? In that case we are not going to see it be as high as bitcoin growing and that would be something terrible for all of us.

I am getting ready for either option, it's not my all investment so if it goes up then I would be happy but if it doesn't go up like bitcoin does, then I would not be too upset neither.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 04, 2023, 06:19:45 PM
28th Match  Big Bash League 2022-23 Today's match has not started yet due to rain the match may be delayed for some time. Sydney Sixers vs Brisbane Heat these two teams are ready to play but the match is not starting due to rain. But hopefully very soon.  The game will start. Today's match will not be very good. Because of the rain, the condition of the field has deteriorated. Due to which the batsmen will not be able to score runs in the field.
Thunders having their fourth consecutive win against leaders Scorchers which give them second spot in league table after winning the toss Scorchers elect to bat which was good decision, but early wickets give them setback even captain Ashton Turner play an impressive inning which give them 142 runs on board sadly no other batsman able to give him good support with good bowling from Chris Green and Nathan McAndrew helps Thunders for having decent target.

While chasing Thunders also lost quick wickets of Hales and Rossouw as Jhye Richardson give early break through to his team but this all was not helpful as Oliver Davies and Alex Ross play hammering inning which helps them for reaching target at the end of 17th over.
1269  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and faster on: January 04, 2023, 05:08:46 PM
I can boldly say that Bitcoin Banking is more reliable and fast because Bitcoin transactions is been done through wallet, the only problem that may occur is if the wallet is not correct another challenge is if the transaction is been encountered with down network but this is in rare cases.
I find it very contradicting. I want you to know first the meaning of 'Reliable' and 'Volatile', coz what is something volatile cannot be reliable. Volatility comes with a risk, and you can't be sure if there's a risk on anything. While we praise bitcoin as fast, fungible, and secured, there's this fiat that pops up everywhere when banks want it that all of us needs to have for the system they have built on a shallow soil. Bitcoin has a use, but not for primary utility.

You can't rely on bitcoin when you want to feed yourself.
I think being reliable hasn't to do with volatility. For me, being reliable can mean that we can easily need the money when we need it and that is something Bitcoin can offer but not in the banks because often times they can lock up/ freeze our accounts or do some other alibi's when we are about to withdraw money.

Risk is everywhere or on anything. Yes BTC is is risky due to its volatile state but the point is, its value can recover and it can even rise more. Banks or banks money (fiat) are much stable but there are inflations which can lessen the value of our fiat money. This can only be an added risk to what I said earlier about banks.
1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be banned or stopped by governments on: January 03, 2023, 08:36:03 PM
They can ban bitcoin but will this have any effect due to the fact that there are several countries that have already done that and bitcoin is still standing today.
Regardless of anything, a ban like this is only for one country that they lead, maybe there are even some people who do other things by banning things like this.
On the other hand, it is possible that there will be other things in regulation, even though it is possible for your country to prohibit it now, but it is not impossible that there will be several changes to regulations in the future, especially if more and more countries support it rather than ban it.
A ban will surely affect bitcoin's value. It will go down, especially if the ban happened on a country where the Bitcoin users are high. There are countries that have banned BTC before and some of these countries didn't change their decisions yet or have plans to unban BTC anytime soon. Imagine if many countries follow it? I think that is threatening.

We always thought that BTC is the future of money but that won't happen anymore. Regulations are known to be a bad thing for currency which are decentralized like bitcoin but if ever the government demand this in exchange of allowing bitcoin in their country then I think people will just agree on it.
1271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone out there doing money by trading? How? on: January 03, 2023, 05:40:23 PM
Professional traders know how to diversify their money, they are not doing pure trades most of them play longer and that's why they succeed because they already master their strategy and control their emotion right. I have a friend who are fully dependent to trading, he's still single so he can still afford to take such risk and I think this will also depend on your status in life. Trading in long term is not that profitable because of many reason, investors says trading is not profitable because you are selling good coins early instead of holding it, while trader says its profitable because they are able to meet their goal for the whole month. Profit will always depend on how you see it, so better to know your goal first.
Diversifying can be helpful. It works like a backup in case our trading fails because there are no perfect trades. Pro traders know this already due to the experience they have. Your friend is single. That's great but maybe you can advice him to diversify so that he won't lose that much. It's always better to have more money in hand. He may not be needing it now but he will regret it one day or by the time he already have his own family because he didn't save up and play carefully with his trades.

@OP it's fine if you think that way. Maybe it's time for you to stop trading and find other alternatives which will perfectly fit better for you. Trading isn't just for all.
1272  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 Bitcoin can take a position discussion. on: January 02, 2023, 09:29:24 PM
Whenever Bitcoin give a price discount just like what the price is at the moment it gives opportunities not only to small investors as you mentioned but also to big bag holders who also take advantage of such opportunity to fill their bags.
Recent events have forced Bitcoin price to remain at a declining state for a while but the break-out stage may come as the year progresses and investors and traders start having a positive reaction to the market because what effected Bitcoin price was external factors arising from bad news and events in other cryptocurrency projects.
That "discount" is something people fear because they see themselves as the product owner whose product is not discounted, not as the buyer whose item they want to buy got discounted. If you switch the side then you would be happy about it, but they somehow can't switch the sides.

I also own bitcoin and I do not consider the price drop as something bad for me, even though my portfolio has been down a lot recently, I still see this as a good thing and yet they do not, which is not terrible and I understand that, but that doesn't mean that we should be focusing on anything terrible neither, I am fine with it and I do not see it as a problem at all.
Discounts were supposed to be a good thing because that simply means you will be getting the item for a cheap price, so why will they fear it? If there are in fear right now then they can be the hodlers who are inexperienced. This bear right here, can be their first long time bear so they are worried and thinks that the market won't recover anymore. I hope they can still be able to control their selves as this bear shouldn't take too long anymore.

I know that the bull run is just around the corner. That is right, we shouldn't be focusing on something that is terrible because that is not beneficial to us but if there is something that we should focus on, then that is to buy more coins and continue hodling because we know that we will be rich from this one day.
1273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the perfect indicator for long term investors on: January 02, 2023, 09:02:30 PM
Just pointing out that long-term investors don't really need trading indicators -- unless you're looking at significant and cyclical buying... in which case the first 75% drop post-ATH or the one post-halving are pretty much the "perfect" top-up periods.

DCA takes care of that stress of watching though Wink
That is what exactly I do, I do 50% unfortunately and that was a wrong move on my behalf, loaded up around 30-35k range myself and got some more at 22-24k range as well, so I am not doing amazing for the recent ones but I got some from 2018 so it is doing not bad at all and I am fine about it.

But at the end of the day, it is not going to be something huge for me until we have another ATH and I am not checking any trading indicators or anything like that, it doesn't matter to me at all because it is not going to be that much of a big thing at all. It will be as decent as it gets and as normal as it gets and why would I need indicators for long term that will result like that?
1274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: January 02, 2023, 08:32:41 PM
Crypto has been a wonderful alternative to the traditional money market if not a competitor, but the recent dramas in the last few months have been a lesson to everyone to have a critical thinking about crypto.
For the most of us, cryptos are more than just an alternative but they treat it as a replacement to the fiat money especially Bitcoin since it was the most decentralized crypto up to this date. We can also call it as a competitor. It was the banks actually who termed it because they see it as threat to their business.

This is also the reason why cryptos are banned by them or they request it to the government to ban it in their whole nation. The recent drama in crypto doesn't made people think if they will continue to use it or not but it only teach them a lesson to not fully trust centralized platforms because they aren't totally in control of their money.
1275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: January 01, 2023, 06:35:24 PM
I voted for $20000 - $30000.

Probably for me this is the best scenario, I mean prior to the FTX collapse we are just about in the $20k levels. And we all know that this is the biggest support, that round numbers and most likely this might be the target of the bulls for at least the whole of next year and highs around $30k.

The price though is still very bearish and that's what we should be expecting for next year. Price could be on another sideway pattern.
This isn't bad for the starters or in the beginning of 2023 but in the second and so on quarters I expect that there will be another set of prices that will take effect in bitcoin e.g $30k- $40k for the 2nd, $40k to $50k for the 3rd and lastly $50k to $60k for the 4th quarter. 2024 should be the year for $100k and onwards because this is also the year where BTC is said to go on a halving.

A $4k jump (from $16k to $20k) is not what you call a bull run but that must only be a normal recovery. The best indication to know if there is now a bull run is when the price starts to rise above $50k since this price is already considered to be high even though the last ATH was at $69k.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is ever the right time. on: December 30, 2022, 07:06:16 PM
Now it is highly recommended to invest in the long term, December will end in a few days and the market conditions have not yet shown signs of turning a bullish market, it is very appropriate to take this opportunity to start investing to make assets in the future.
A true investor, of course, will not waste this golden opportunity which has a very big chance of getting big profits in the future.
This is the kind of market situation that many big investors have been waiting for, but no one knows for sure when they will enter. We shouldn't be surprised to see the market suddenly become bullish in a short period of time. That's why we have to prepare ourselves and have assets to take with us to the next bull market.
True, this is an opportunity that may not come a second time for us. So we should be able to take advantage of the current situation to take advantage in the future.
I think a big investor can buy at any time because they have the capital (bigger amounts) and then they also have the patience to HODL for so long. They are way too serious about investing but for the small investors. They usually have a limited budget so to make the most out of it, they are waiting for a good times like this (bear market). About the indications if the big investors have already entered or not.

You will notice that by looking on exchanges if there are big orders and also in the price if there is a sudden increase. This isn't the first bear market and this won't also be the last however the next one might take a long time to happen so we should take advantage of this one here.
1277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: copytrading on: December 30, 2022, 05:00:54 PM
Don't do this nonsense. Copy trading is a little less crappy than trading using telegram chat signals. A hopeless and unprofitable occupation. You definitely won't be able to make money off of this. If you have an idea how to make money on trading with minimal effort, then you can safely throw this idea out of your head, because it is unrealistic. In trading, you can earn only if you are a completely independent trader. In all other cases, even if you will have some kind of profit, it will be extremely small and incommensurable with the time costs that you use for this type of activity. Moreover, when it comes to such a ridiculous amount as $100, there is nothing to do in trading with such amounts.
I think it's inappropriate to call it nonsense because there might be people who are good at doing this or find it beneficial but if we are a starter, especially in crypto trading then we shouldn't jump on these things easily because it can do more harm than good.

The minimum amount to be able to do this is slightly higher but I think I know why. That is because you will still need to pay something for the platform that conducts this service. They are the ones who can earn a guaranteed profits and not the traders. So, you are right that if we have some knowledge in trading, it will be better if we can just be independent as it's more efficient to do than relying on these things.
1278  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: December 29, 2022, 05:45:00 PM
It's a gift for any kind of doing, not just crypto, although especially for it  Grin
This is true. Like for example when we work out (go to the gym). We shouldn't rush to see the results because it won't just come out after a week or two but it takes several months. This why many got bored and quit on what they are doing because they lack of patience. Same with cryptos.

It's not something that can make us a millionaire overnight but it can take years or even decades because the adoption is not at its highest yet. Until now there are still lots of countries or people who are not yet on them but they will soon discover and get involved with it. It might be true that patience is a gift but if you are not blessed to be given by it then it is still/also possible to learn it.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 29, 2022, 11:51:52 AM
First match on week 15 between Girona vs Rayo and both of teams in the positive condition because they had good results from their 5 matches and i think home team Girona has slightly the favourite to win the match besides strong at home ground Girona also has tested against strong teams such as Madrid and Bilbao but they can earn points from these opponents even Girona has earn 3 points from Bilbao so this indicated although Girona position on standings league is not really good but there were an attempts for them to bounce back and today too i think Girona will going to win the match so although this is risky but Girona won as my bets seems good
Girona vs Rayo Vallecano if we check all stats then surely here visitors looking better and their record is also good against Girona but as home side is also improving their performance things looking at level which is surely good for the first game and with the home advantage they can do better performance because Girona having not good start of this season but now having improved with now they are in middle of the league table which is also good for them now here if they are able to take points surely going to have impact on their confidence as well because after promotion now they are doing good job which will help them for staying into La Liga for another season which will increase their value and finances as well.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT ?? What do you think about it ? ? ? on: December 29, 2022, 09:05:32 AM
Yes, this is the sad part. NFTs today are worthless since a lot of scammers are joining in and tricking people which is the part it goes down, even though more celebrities are into this kind of art but it will not get hype again just like the last time.  NFTs are really worth it if you are really into art and not worrying about the fund you spend.
even if your into art, I doubt you just gonna waste millions of money and then just seeing this turns into nothing, these NFT quite literally hast lost so much of volume that I don't think it's even worth it even if you really fancy arts, moreover the art in NFT usually isn't really art, I think it's more of famous trend that many is riding and at the end of the day it's sinking because the market is seeking for the bigger fool that gonna lose even bigger money.
Not all NFTs are scams. There are still legit NFTs out there that we can invest in but if I am an art lover I think I will just buy the art which I can see and touch physically and not NFTs which are only digital. I can't see them right away but I still need to open a wallet or a website which I found a hassle.

A lot of NFTs lost so much volume but that is expected already because people are only driven by the hype in recent times but most of them have finally woken up from the truth that there are no real benefits from buying and holding an NFT. They can in fact lose money in the process because the demand for NFTs will only get lesser from time to time.
