1261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: April 04, 2021, 08:31:04 PM
I felt the effects of not HODLing my coins back when I first started the forum last 2017. The signature campaign proceeds went to one of my failed investments; and others went to my personal purchases.

Last week, I saw my blockchain record and observe that the total amount of bitcoins I have received amounted to around $18,000~. If I did not spend them, I would have saved some money for further investments. That is why, if you really need to spend cash or if you are in a dire position, then that would ONLY be the time to convert your bitcoins to cash.

Unfortunately, in my case, I spent my btc for my personal expenses during this pandemic period. So a lot of my earnings didn't see the light of the 50k level of btc. Cheesy I am not complaining as it helped me during this crisis. I couldn't give a price tag when it did help me during those challenging times. So no regrets of spending those satoshis much earlier. And after so many years here, still the same. Trying to earn as much as I can. And holding it as much as possible.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we see Altseason 2021 from mid april ? on: April 03, 2021, 11:59:23 PM
Hello frds whats you opinion on altseason 2021 will it starts from mid april and if yes what are your bags of altcoin you are looking may give Good return .
In my opinion if we will see that again consider bitcoin is starting to gain another bullish momentum again and ethereum breaks another ATH and that could be a very big signal for us to see that another wave for altcoin will be happening again probably at the middle or end of this month.
Im still waiting another good news to come. We need more and more great news to make the fundamental of crypto become even stronger and altcoin will be going vert crazy soon.

This is a very subjective matter as it depends on the alt involved. Not all alts can follow the trend of the market. Also, be careful when it comes to new coins. A lot of them are just pump and dump coins. So if you want to seriously invest, you need to scrutinize the project itself. And no one will do it for you, so you need to do your own assessment for the coin. But if you consider old projects, I think, eth has high chance that will further increase their value this month. With the hard fork in few weeks, I believe, it will further boost its price value in the market.
1263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin had its best Q1 performance this year since 2013 on: April 03, 2021, 11:38:16 PM
It might be where our dreams going to happen, I mean the $100k mark could be seen to start within the next months.

It's possible we are looking at a new scenario, something that is very much different from what we've had, I'd like to think that the past chart has no bearing now this year and onwards, many consider March to be a bloody month because we have seen that happened in the past, but look we are in the $59 level and still looking good, $100k is very possible to happen this year.

We need to see more merchants accepting crypto in their payment system. Financial institutions are still coming in, so they are giving good boost in the market. But I would like to see the actual usage of crypto in the payment sector as it will cover just those regular crypto users who want to spend some btc in their regular day to day life. Because right now, a lot of us still consider bitcoin as an investment and not for daily expenses. I understand about that, because we are seeing the price in the market as a very volatile one. But the adoption this year, is really impressive as compared to previous years. So we will still see the increase of bitcoin's price in the coming months.
1264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie finding his way around crypto investment on: April 03, 2021, 10:44:26 PM
It doesn't matter how much you have but how much you're willing to risk.

If you say you have 1200 but re willing to risk only 200, you should begin the thread with I have 200. The money you invest is the money you risk. No risk means no investment.

I'd say go for it, but if you have money and no bitcoin, my answer will always be get bitcoin wigh half of your money and then try to get some alts.

The OP is asking for opinion about vechain and harmony. Not really the highly suggested ones in this forum. At a current price, vechain is only 9 cents and the OP is aiming for $1? About 11x in few weeks? That's very unlikely and right now, the price is going down, instead of going up. Whereas, harmony is also at 22 cents. Though they had a very good price increase last month, I don't think $1 is also on the table here. The OP should check out their development progress and see if there will be big updates coming up. He can diversify his portfolio and use that allowable $200 to different coins.
1265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading books recommendation on: April 03, 2021, 10:03:55 PM
Wow, thanks for this OP coz I don't have to spend more time searching rather than to directly search for that book. I actually don't have fan reading books but if you are interested in one thing and that to learn more about trading, that really not a tiresome deal.

But anyway, in today's lifestyle, reading books is optional and some were just obsolete as the technology keeps developing. However, we can still get an idea of how early traders find themselves comfortable doing this and able to win that we can also apply to ourselves.

For me, reading books is still a very helpful one to gain more insights in every aspect that you want to venture with. Yes, actual experience is a must, but somewhere along the way, those helpful tips that you read from these books, will come in handy when you needed it. Technology is in fast pace, but these books will always be an important item to some people. There are some hidden tricks that they will suggest because those authors have their own experience to share it with.
1266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YOP - Yield Optimisation Platform & Protocol on: April 02, 2021, 11:31:36 PM
look like promising project and i'm sure it will make curious to potential investors. is there bounty program later? fell  interested to take a part in it
OP is disappeared after promising a product launch in Q1 2021 and he's expecting it in mid-February. Or has his product been in progress, while he no longer comes to this thread? They will absolutely need that bounty program, if op come again to this thread, maybe to preach it
The project has been in development for months now - first product launch Q1 2021 - not long to go. We expect mid February.

Too bad, what really happened? I see potential in this project. I hope they keep doing what they should and don't give up on this project. that's all I want to say.

I think this one is soon to be dead defi project. Just checked their site and it seems not working, as my browser just keeps on loading and finally getting a 504 error. Are there people who invested here on this project? They seemed to be active before but the competition is too hard among DeFis. If the OP will not come back here this month, this one will be another DeFi platform that will bite the dust of crypto.
1267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Anonymous (BTCA) - Send Crypto Anonymously on: April 02, 2021, 10:25:44 PM
The Official "end" swap date from our mainnet to #BSC chain will happen May 1st. On that date if your $BTCA has not been swapped then it will be lost.

An article will be posted soon explaining how to swap and the procedure. Cowboy hat face

I am missing something here. From this address - https://www.bscscan.com/token/0xd54fd5d0c349c06373f3fe914151d1555b629fb6, only 2 holders of BTCA. And more than likely, these 2 are owned by the team. So who will swap their BTCA this May 1st? Are there current holders of these BTCA tokens? Who are going to participate on this swap? Confused here.

XFC just reached your ATH last month. Do you have big plans for this year to expand your scope of reach among football fans? Because when I browse the players' market, seems that no one is interested to buy or bid on these 618 players listed. Maybe the football fans don't know that this market exist on your platform.

Just to give you an example of what I am saying here, no bids/buys

1269  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin mining in Texas - new trend - will Tesla follow on: April 02, 2021, 08:27:14 PM
SpaceX spaceport is based in Texas that is the main reason why Elon Musk wants to build his Spacebase town there. However I won’t wonder if he would put their a lot of windmills to have cheap electricity and also make there a small (on several thousands of asics) BTC (and Dogecoin as well) mining farm like that did those companies. Texas has all facilities for this.

There is possibility that he is already thinking about this kind of venture. But of course, I believe, he will use a renewable energy source unlike other mining facilities. As Musk has investments in btc and doge, more than likely, putting up his own mining facility has passed in his mind. Let us see in the coming months or years, if he will announce putting up some of his investments in crypto mining. Elon wants clean power, and right now, bitcoin mining is giving off million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. So it is an irony of what he is preaching for.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🏆🥉 [ANN] Crypto Awards - Ratings that can be trusted🥉🏆 on: April 01, 2021, 11:59:45 PM
How do you check if the reviews were written honestly, and just to get a reward? Or how do you tell if a review is useful or not?
For example take a look in Exchange section on Curve Finance review. "Its very good" because it is easy to use. Same can be said about almost every exchange. Second exchange that got a review - Coinbase. A review was written by a person that is not a trader. How can this be approved?
You can not, since trust is just a gimmick.
not going to lie I have seen something like this before on https://revain.org/, at the very beginning even they were encouraging people to write a review about something like an exchange, a platform and etc to get incentive from them and if you compare both of them you should see some similarity which means the review will not be created naturally. at least revain does not highlight trust on their platform.

I'll just wait if they can actually make this event happen in the specified schedule. And if there will really be attendees despite that a lot of countries are experiencing the second wave of covid owed to these new strains. If not, we will see it via online and check out how they will present this type of event. More than likely, most of the reviews will be biased because it is according to the viewer. But we will see if the recipients truly deserve their respective awards.
1271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm wondering who trades with paid signals? on: April 01, 2021, 11:25:01 PM
Are there people here who want to join a team of traders and receive tone signals?
[snip]
Is it free?
It is paid signal, OP was given a link.
Well, even me --I did not participate in any paid signal or even a free signal group. I don't that it is not a good practice as a trader because that will perhaps make you conscious upon making a decision. I would prefer to stick to my trading plan and do my own research either technical or fundamental as long as my forecast in predicting price is inaccurate because we know that the price of the market is unpredictable so it is impossible to have guessed only or there is a coin that will pump because of the pump and dump group.
You can check out lots of sources if you wanted to but it isnt bad to look up on what analysis they came up or end with and you can make out some comparison.

If you are a type of person who doesnt really get easily influenced with others suggestion and recommendations then getting some idea on other sources isnt bad.
Collect on what are useful to you and apply it into your own analysis.
Paid signals isnt something that can really be trusted because those are just typical or normal speculations made up by other traders. It is much more worth
if you do really make your own.

It is really better to come up with your own and not tied to any signal group. But you can always join the free ones, and check how they are doing things. It will give you a hint on how these trading signal group operate. Won't really trust even the paid ones as they are not an assurance that you will get profit from their sources. Normally, it is already too late before you execute your order. Better do your own trading and just get those tips and tricks that you can use while you are on your own trading spree.
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KardiaChain - Scalable and Interoperable Blockchain Platform on: April 01, 2021, 10:08:01 PM
Dear Kardians,

Welcome to the #KAIDEX Landing Page
KAIDEX is the first of its kind in the decentralized exchange market, possessing the capabilities of a completely decentralized cross-chain token trading platform. KAIDEX is built upon the Dual Node technology, a novel patent-pending technology that would truly revolutionize multi-chain swapping. With Dual Node, users would be able to swap tokens from any blockchain ecosystems, without any integration from the partner chains.

KAIDEX is the first to solve the disadvantages and ambitious to utilise both CEX and DEX advantages to be “the best of both worlds".

PS: Posting this update here as a KardiaChain Supporter and Holder for awareness of the project development. I'm not part of the team.

Something is going on with this chain looking at the chart from CMC - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/kardiachain/

At a glance, you will really remember the Kardashians family with their name.  Tongue But why is it they are not active here in the forum? Good to know that there is a supporter for this project posting some updates. Honestly, it is my first time to hear this decentralized exchange. The team should be active here to gain more exposure.
1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Siacoin ($SC) make new ATH in April 2021 ? on: April 01, 2021, 09:20:17 PM
Currently siacoin $SC is trading at 46sat in its previous bull run Siacoin Went up 800% in month without any major public exposure ,with constant 30% + for consecutive 7 days on Average what you think will history repeats again

anything can happen in cryptocurrency and now the market is in good shape, so I'm sure Siacoin ($SC) will create a new ATH price again, because this year many cryptocurrency have created a new ATH price of more than 1x, so I'm sure as long as the market is still in good condition, then of course Siacoin ($SC) can still create a try new ATH price.

The graph is showing some positive signs since Feb of this year, however, making a new ATH this month I believe will not happen. Unless, the SC team will provide new updates and progress, massive marketing, which I think will not happen. Just be grateful that this old coin is showing some life again in the market. They will only change course if the team will do something about it. But if they will just rely on traders and fuds, I don't think they will reach their new ATH soon.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where does Grayscale store its Bitcoins? on: March 31, 2021, 11:35:43 PM
Sometimes companies do publicly mention some of there wallet addresses or some of their users just connect it from the transactions whether they are depositing or withdrawing which these companies are obviously using these wallet addresses. But I don't think they do that for their cold storages for security purposes as these Bitcoins or cryptocurrencies are really for the purposes of storing their reserves.  Also you can't really link any wallet address to an identity not unless the owner of that wallet has make it known to the public, that's why you can get the data to the wallet addresses who has the largest quantity of Bitcoin but you don't exactly know who owns these wallets.

And I don't think it is our business to know such details. You will just get a head ache figuring out what are their addresses and you still come up empty handed. For now, let's be grateful that they are investing big in crypto, in bitcoin in particular. They drive good price in the market and we are not ignoring their contribution to the crypto market. We can't get any value anyway, upon learning their addresses, right? It is their assets not ours, so better look out for your assets instead.
1275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin adoption isn't stopping on: March 31, 2021, 10:33:24 PM
The future of bitcoin is still uncertain, but the latest developments from various well-known companies have started claiming to use bitcoin as a transaction tool such as Tesla and PayPal, and the US central bank which is also called The Federal Reserve recently issued a statement they will issue digital currency.
I think bitcoin adoption will continue to grow and what we are seeing, bitcoin users continue to increase from all walks of life.
Absolutely...
Bitcoin adoption had no reason to stop and that it keeps spreading. This huge market adoption from the known companies and influential people will brag more for the others to do as well. Like this banks have the option to take the risk (and I believe it is a must for now) or otherwise, they will be left behind. And this kind of change is a part of the economic and market innovation that could give benefits to everyone.

https://coingeek.com/federal-reserve-2021-is-the-year-we-will-engage-the-public-on-digital-dollar/

Because of this pandemic, the usage as a payment method has increased. As we are already going to digital, they found out that crypto is one good alternative in the payment sector. So right now, the adoption is truly growing as more companies are discovering this usage. With Tesla and PayPal's public announcement, a lot of entities are inspired to follow their tracks and their confidence in crypto is now better. Few years from now, maybe we will see more local shops to include crypto in their payment method.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Flux] ZelCore - FLUX - First Decentralized Computational Network on: March 31, 2021, 09:16:32 PM
-
You might not approve it or don't like it but that doesn't change the facts, Zelcore is a non custodial wallet where accounts information are never sent to any server. All information that the wallet uses stays encrypted on the device that you have used. Cheers

Just wondering, do you have many users on board using the Zelcore app? And can you give the approximate numbers? And I am seeing that your price in the market is going strong,  and more than likely, you will hit again your ATH if the performance in the market will continue. Can you share the possible reasons why there is good price movement of your coin in the past couple of weeks?
1277  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is it worth taking BTC off an exchange to a hardware wallet? on: March 30, 2021, 11:56:12 PM
Depending on the amount of Bitcoin you have on the two exchanges, if you have a large amount of Bitcoin you should indeed move it to
a hardware wallet. Because if you leave it on the exchanges, there is a possibility that you lose the Bitcoin that you have. Because all exchanges
are so vulnerable to being hacked. Because according to the data I saw on the internet, most of the popular exchanges have been hacked.
Based on this, we really should look for it safely by storing it in a hardware wallet. Better to shell out a little expensive to buy a hardware wallet,
rather than the Bitcoin that we have may be lost.

If not, he can always use the electrum wallet. There's no need to shell out money for hardware wallet if he is thinking of the price. But I believe it is better to transfer your btc to your own wallet, not owned by any third party. In that way, you have full control of your funds. As you said, every exchange is vulnerable to hacking, whether it is a top exchange or not. So for me, it is worth taking your coins off out of the exchange, either by hardware or other bitcoin wallets like electrum.

Your exchange is still not up and running? This is an old project and up until now the exchange is not yet operational? I checked the site and when you press the start trading button it just directs you to the newsletter. This project is long in the making. But better than abandoning the project. The market is already changing so I guess, you are also prepared to make some adjustments once your trading market is live.
1279  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami Mayor Will Allow Employee salaries in Bitcoin on: March 30, 2021, 10:27:08 PM
Everytime I read news about government and its policy, I always think that there’s must be another economical background that can makes them rich behind it, for example strategic partnership with big institutions, etc.
I believe this is one of it. They are trying to open partnership for money. It’s just my speculation opinion.

The most important things about this move is, they need to educate well their people about bitcoin.
Because I believe this move will gains a lot of interest.

Yes, in some way, they are encouraging people to get acquainted with bitcoin or crypto. Since there are a lot of crypto news lately, some of them will be interested to get a hold of bitcoin. And this will be one way of opening their world to crypto. And of course, they will get help from their government also if they want to receive their salary in terms of bitcoin. Definitely, there will be small talks or seminars that comes with it. I don't think the government will just let its people discover on their own, they will have some orientation at least on how to deal with bitcoin and the consequences that may be involved with it.
1280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal created crypto checkout service!! on: March 30, 2021, 09:08:26 PM
I think it would be a better idea if it's not only convertible into fiat but also withdrawal from PayPal to another wallet. It's like giving a feature that's lack of the better ones.

They should make it also available that their users can withdraw bitcoin to another bitcoin wallet and so on.

I hope they will soon add this feature as many users may like this one. But for now, we can see that they are evolving with their crypto services so I believe we will get there. Also, they are realizing that crypto users really don't use their platform because there are better trading platforms that they can use for the same service. However, this is a stepping stone for newcomers in crypto, at least an introductory phase for them to be well-versed in crypto transactions. Once they realized that what PayPal is offering is very different from what crypto-exchanges are offering, they will move to another platform.
