1261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: screening coins on: September 01, 2023, 03:11:42 PM
This process is not supposed to be a fast-rich thing. It is a slow paced time consuming and long term thing.

Indicators are only 50% correct, dont base your trades on them, but add in fundamentals and trends. You cannot say that a certain indicators is a 100% accurate reading of profit or loss, because such things dont exist.

Also be careful not to pay any attention to signals groups. They exist to scam their members not profit them, the only profit makers there are the owners.

My suggestion to any new trader about screening coins is to observe them for at least 2years before investing. This might seem long but only legit projects will survive that long and your money will be saved, this I am saying from my 6years of experience in this sector. Otherwise, it is always the safer bet to buy bitcoin at the lower price.
1262  Other / Meta / Re: How to get merit in this forum? on: September 01, 2023, 03:07:51 PM
l want to ask about how someone can get merit, is it something that can be gotten through posting useful content, or is it something that can be gotten by chance or luck?
Both if you ask me.

How much merit you receive is depending on the decision of the users (with sMerits) reading your posts, not you. So you need to make quality posts, initiate discussions and make meaningful comments in order to get their "attention" and earn your merits. This becomes easier if you have a local board too where you are active and there are merit sources in that local board.

Hence dont bother too much about merit but on your quality of posts. Merits will come on their own when you least expect them and dont let this dishearten your involvement in the forum. Wink
1263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take your eyes off from the fall in price on: August 31, 2023, 06:03:13 AM
To me the drop in price are the opportunities to buy, nothing more. If you preoccupy yourself with reasons of why it dropped or why it is rising you will never find any answers and will be left in a soup.

Learn to treat these prices as just numbers. Read the news but don't take everything at face value in this sector, unlike stock markets.

Don't lose hope, you have to keep patience and hope in order to play the long term game here.
1264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: August 31, 2023, 05:50:33 AM
Consider how Dogecoin is still worth something even though there are lots of coins in circulation. New units will be created every year, leaving us with an endless supply of DOGE. Coins with a limited supply are more likely to rise in price within a short amount of time. I'm talking about coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Diamond (DMD), and Dash. Especially Bitcoin which is the most popular cryptocurrency in the world. Who knows how the market will change in the long run as new players join the scene? Just my thoughts Grin
I like your optimism about the altcoins.

However from my experience the altcoins are mainly capitalised during the cycles when the hype is good and it drives an inorganic demand. On the other hand bitcoin has its own organic demand over time. Hence I prefer the second always. But hopeful people are free to invest in the former. The only problem is that they need to be monitored and the social media kept track of, who knows which celeb is going to talk shit or gold about a certain coin.

Their circulating supply is often raises eyebrows because of a lot of reasons, lack of trust in the developer, premine and so on.
1265  Economy / Economics / Re: How to developed your capital on: August 31, 2023, 05:43:43 AM
Yes, they need some guide it could be learn by books or by videos in Youtube. Everything can be learn now in this space nothing is impossible. But yes developing your capital for your business or project is kinda hard if you are doing it just for yourself. I knew it because I have an experience in that kind of thing before but I fail because I didn't took the risk and I limit myself.
I would suggest a professional in this matter rather than one's own self if they lack suitable experience. You can't just develop your own capital from thin air. You have to grow your money from what you already have, take loans from the banks if necessary or planned and then go public is the situation demands it and you have a high demand on the market.

This we can start from smaller ventures first, gain popularity through marketing and actually developing some that is useful then go for higher capital. It's a ful time job and no compromise should be made.
1266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time to buy or sell? on: August 30, 2023, 02:24:59 PM
If you want to profit from bull market then you can buy and if you can trade successfully then why holding. Everyone is interested in getting profit from crypto which is why everyone is excited to invest without realizing it. As suffering new investors get more and lose faith in crypto after they lose money which is why they withdraw from crypto in a short period of time.
The bear market can be profited by short selling during the drop and by buying back at lower/discounted prices when the market settles. This is only one side of the picture because you also need to sell during the bull market in order to realize this profit. So its a cycle and your game is also following that cycle. You buy during the bear market and you sell during the bull market - not the opposite way round.

If you can manage to do this with many positions that you have opened and kept track of you will be in an overall profit but most users lose faith or patience during the process.
1267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: August 30, 2023, 02:21:11 PM
You will see this point quite a lot of the project is running a bounty campaign to promote their projects. Most of the comments there are just garbage and so many recycled words that is not bring nothing constructive into the projects.

I would not recommend checking the Twitter for this kind of matter, would be better to check the telegram to see how well they manage to answer any queries from the askers both investors or just lurkers. You'll see something good there based on how well they answer and how the supporters acting.
Social media are complete no on. I have been following some older scam projects and they used to populate their social media with paid posts and now they are dead lying with a handful of followers with zero activity. Looking back at the time they were active, it would have seemed that the project would have been a huge landmark one, but of course this is only a facade.

Hence to evaluate a project, analyse their teams their backgrounds and the feasibility of the project and whether it solves an actual problem, like I have said in many posts, such projects are almost non-existant in this niche market.
1268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Timing and Trading on: August 30, 2023, 02:18:12 PM
So the point is that someone who might be losing a few trades due to imperfect timing of making the trades but is managing to do well otherwise should not be worried at all since their net value will be in profit, but if it is the opposite of that, the trader must evaluate their strategies and practice more.
That wrongly timed trade will cost them however they might try to balance it out by another trade. Of course in long term it will cancel each other out and you might end up in a net profit but it can be stressful in the short term.

Time the trade when the market is dropping or rising and this has an impact on the total profit that capital can make. Not that it is a must thing, but it has its importance and should not be ignored. If you lose them time to place to trade, just wait it out for the next opportunity.

This is a broad topic for buying/selling and those who actively trade will understand the idea correctly.
1269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here is a tight slap to bitcoin haters on: August 29, 2023, 05:20:05 AM
The Bitcoin orbituaries on 99bitcoins has been very famous and it was among many one of the websites I did look into when I was researching the legality and profitability of Bitcoin back in 2016. These are made as a joke of the common notion among many people due to the lack of faith in Bitcoin for those who are only looking for a quick flip and not long term investment.

The idea cannot be dead. The price may drop but it will rise back again - this is cycle but it took people years to understand this even though they have been watching speculative markets for many years now.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn an apartment in a bear market on: August 29, 2023, 05:15:28 AM
$500 is a big number in my opinion. You can choose to invest in some new coins that are not blue chips. But I still suggest that Bitcoin is the best. Indeed, you will not get fast profits, but it is very safe to keep your money there. Risk some on altcoins. That is a suggestion from me.
I would keep the blue chip ideas aside and consider that Bitcoin to be most safe and profitable here. Time constraints are the major deterrent because many people take these as loans and then start trading and when they can find a coin they make a thread here asking for suggestions. For an investor who does not have time constraints buy Bitcoin with this money and continue adding to your portfolio as you can every month.

Altcoins often seem like a quick avenue of success but this is a false dream because in the hurry and the risk the investor will lose money. Hence in the bear market focus on Bitcoin maximally.
1271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Whitepaper just Buzz Word in Alt and Meme coins? on: August 29, 2023, 05:07:09 AM
As long as there is a hype, most probably many will just ignore the whitepaper and even the roadmap.
This is why many are falling into fake projects because they are not doing any due diligence when it comes to participation. Though those projects are not ruining the purpose of Whitepaper since its for the real investors and you can easily spot a legit one compare to tampered Whitepaper.
Ignoring them is common but also keep in mind that the major papers prepared these days have been plagiarised and often just shitpapers at the most. Most roadmaps are never followed and are only there to propagate the initial hype on the market. The major number of investors come from word of mouth and hence we will rarely see researched investors coming in the market because they keep the portfolio limited to bitcoin.

In either case I feel the whitepaper is an important part and following that is necessary but a copied paper or one that is just made to launch the project without any backing needs to be identified and shunned.
1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting btc of tuitions payments for College/students? on: August 28, 2023, 05:45:28 AM
Is it possible in future students to pay tuition with cryptocurrency like btc or another. As we all know that only stable money can run a country, moreover btc price is unstable so you can't do that even if you want to.
A general idea that Bitcoin being accepted for salary payment makes this idea a possibility. There are many countries where bitcoin is not acceptable as legal tender or facing governmental pressure from taxation or something else as a payment mode. Thus this may be possible in future but it's not happening overnight. However we are hopeful of this future and can only hope for something more fruitful from governments ke bitcoin based companies associating together for a cause.

Maybe for now a teacher who is well versed in Bitcoin and has students who are also well versed in crypto can take part in such an exchange but not more than that.
1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: August 28, 2023, 05:37:23 AM
As an investor, i did a lots of invest in altcoins. Those were suppose to be good that time with having good hype, good team and community. But with having all of thats, most of altcoins scam after a time! I wonder for some altcoins, they were suppose not to be go but they scammed without any reason! And hundreds of altcoins are in my wallet, which are turn into dead shitcoin now.
Needle in a haystack situation indeed. But you can prevent this from happening if you keep yourself limited to bitcoin only. Because the last charts of Bitcoin have always been well performing as compared to altcoins. In the long run it is the only safe and profitable investment if bought at low prices. These things I have been observing for years now and hence I never pay any heed to any altcoins that come in the market beyond the top five altcoins.

Over time you learn this from experience, try being loyal to bitcoin as see how it turns out.
1274  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we improve our country's economy by on culture or ecosystem? on: August 28, 2023, 05:33:13 AM
Improve a population's education standards and relieve them from religious dogma and a lot of these problems will get controlled. Lack of job security and unemployment are major stress factors that worsen the mental health and productivity of a country along with that discipline is essential too. I feel that even though such problems exist, certain people will always take advantage of the situation and make profits off the same. Like the people who made profits during the pandemic and the war, such people will always prosper and sustain through tough times.

Learn from such cunning people and try to inculcate their habits and methods. The ability to quickly identify which market is going to be in demand is a trait and should be tried by all.
1275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 10 tips to manage one's emotions while trading crypto. on: August 28, 2023, 05:28:11 AM
The fact that controlling emotions is something that comes with time and practice not something that can happen overnight and this is applicable to all aspects of life not just trading as some members have rightly pointed out. Being able to prevent the turbulence of emotions is something I personally feel to be as important as controlling emotions is. The major stress here is loans, bills and family issues. They can be prevented by healthy trading habits like not taking loans, keeping the day job running and so on.

Still if someone finds managing their emotions when trading is becoming tough, they should stop trading.
1276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are memecoins tarnishing the image of crypto? on: August 26, 2023, 05:47:19 AM
but because of the hype from Doge and Shiba, we can see efforts from irresponsible people as if to develop new memecoins. there are not a few of them, and that's just to fool anyone caught up in a pump-and-dump scheme.
be careful with memecoin if indeed we can't follow the market direction quickly. we can sink into a very deep well if we only follow people on social media.
Two things, don't follow people on social media and do not invest in every hyip like project that comes up in the news. Follow these things and you should be safe from memecoins. Of course from a non-biased approach they have made a bad name of crypto but then it is the choice of the investor to make the decision of putting in their money, not the project owners.

This comes mainly from the newbies in trading but I have seen veterans get scammed too with such projects. Nevertheless there is no exception to the scam nature or a get-rich-quick scheme.
1277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you go about realizing gains? If you opt not to, what is your reason? on: August 25, 2023, 09:04:26 AM
I have no intention of selling the coins completely. I divide my total bitcoin into major fraction for long term holding a smaller fraction for trading. The second fraction is where selling can happen from but only after I break even or profit, that too will be used to buy back at the next bear market. This helps to keep you in the game and multiply your assets over time as cycles continues.

This takes patience because often one phase of the cycle gets prolonged and you may have to hold through that. But with Bitcoin that is easier than altcoins.
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How big is your optimism for crypto investment? on: August 25, 2023, 08:56:33 AM
Now it is really difficult time for all the word economy. In such situation it is so difficult to be optimisting because many people do not have any money at all and too much disapointed.
Those who don't have that should not go for investing at all. A stable person will think of investing not the ones who are lacking food at the table. In many countries economic conditions has worsened over the last 4years and thus the problem will persist and newer economies will gradually come up. Gig work or short term employments will come up but the point is that the people have to adjust and acclamatise with changing systems.

Don't let the bad economy drown you, rather seek out opportunities for secondary markets for things that are in need and services that are becoming scarce.
1279  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does monitor size affect trading? on: August 25, 2023, 08:38:41 AM
I see where you are coming from. The social media is filled with users showing off their large monitors and RGB lights which are promoted and shows trading going on. This is a narrative that is done by many social media jerks. The objective is to induce a sense of greed for money through these aesthetics and equipment that most people may not be able to afford.

I trade mainly from my smartphone or laptop but I make decent amounts every month in fiat and bitcoin. Most decent traders keep their spending on devices to a necessary amount and not luxury so work on trading not your computers.
1280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: Give people time! on: August 24, 2023, 03:12:29 PM
The approach some people take to get their near ones in to crypto is force-feeding them with information and metrics. This approach is wrong, in my opinion. Rather if they show interest, introduce it to them and provide them the answers they seek. The impetus coming from the opposite party has the best conversion ratio from no-coiner to bitcoiner.

Hence I would agree with the OP on this. Just be humble and dont act like a tinfoil hat person trying some cyberpunk currency. Patience and time are important here because you are making a older person use a completely new method with their hard earned money that they have collected of years of toil.
