lets see it go over 14 and stay over 14 for 14 days in a row.

Then moon shot.

Network seems pretty functional.  I haven't moved any BTC for a while, was expecting slow expensive tx,  but at ~200 sat/B I've got 15+ confirmations in ~1.5 hours.  It seems the backlog is moving along.

Yeah. we are back on pace.

I got same response.  Which I appreciate Devin doing.

I know what it is like to have sick family members and to lose them. It is painful.

2020 has been a brutal year for a lot of us.

a long time ago, when Nixon stepped down, my father (military) turned and told me "you are witnessing democracy at work, and a peaceful transition of power. no bullets, no army" or something along those lines. at the time i was like "ok, cool."

guess i took for granted how immutable that seemed.

i liked that trump did not start a war and that he wasn't shy to point out stuff that is true. but to destroy the democratic system that brought him to power by declaring he will not accept if he loses is the worst thing a politician can do.
an elected leader who puts the axe on the roots of the democracy that allowed him to become president is acting criminal imho.

the last 4 years showed me that a U.S. president has too much executive power. a few more rouge leaders like him and the U.S. is either a kingdom or a dicatorship.

i dislike biden for being this tough law-and-order drug warrior for literally decades. I wonder how much hardship his policies created amongst stoners. how many years people ended up in prison for some weed.

but trump jeopardizes the democracy. which was a bright star to follow other nations.

let's see...

They both suck.  But as long as we don't riot out and collapse into a fucking mess it really does not matter who wins.

Two old white guys with ideas fostered from the 1950's are not really good for the USA.

One born with a silver spoon in his mouth or should I say gold.
The  other born with out much coin.
12606  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 03, 2020, 01:11:29 PM

what is your plan?
I have little btc so I allocate a monthly amount to increase my stash no matter how high or low the price is

I sell some and I keep some.
12607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dollar vs bitcoin on: November 03, 2020, 04:58:11 AM
nobody dont do nothing for you for nothing:D Smiley faover for faouvere:)

The problem here is, if you even send them all the Bitcoins ever mined till date (even the Satoshi coins), I don't believe it'll make any difference as in comparison, their USD will still remain strong because of the number they print and the number that's already in circulation. And when their supply can easily fulfil BTC traders' hunger of "printing" their own money in terms of gaining more and more BTC, I don't believe that your "favor for favor" bribery will work out. Wink

Can BTC be printed like USD? No.
Can BTC be inflationary like USD? No.
Is BTC linked to a single country or global? Global.
Is BTC highly under debts like these fiats are?
No, and you already know the value of debt US is currently under, so once the bubble bursts, what will be devalued? Getting it no?

I would argue btc is under debt, but from the mining viewpoint most of the time.

Hashrate estimated to drop by 16%.

Okex people jailed, rumours about huobi too.

Is this chinese miners getting scared because china is gonna ban bitcoin for real this time?

BTFD

No No No NO

It is rainy ending prices for power were

2-3 cents

now

4-6 cents

Thus miners turn gear off bigly.

If we have continued down turns of 5% the next two jumps then some other issue is happening.

You need to continue your hashrate prediction thread!!!

Thank you for the explaination  Smiley

Yeah not giving away btc any more but still running the thread.

Next two jumps and price flow are very important.

Hoping bull kicks ass but worried.
12609  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 Pro 53T Heat output and hashpower? on: November 03, 2020, 04:07:46 AM
42 th on low. about 1225-1300 watts bitmain firmware.

I have 17 s17pro 53th 41-43th on all but one. That one does 46th it also does 60th on turbo and is the best unit of the 17 I have.

vnish firmware can do as low as 980 watts and 38th more efficient then the s19 pro on stock firmware.

I have yet to try braiins firmware on my s17pros.

Do you guys get a lot of rejects on NiceHash?  Are your rigs as stable as mining straight eth?

Yes, I only get errors on Nice Hash, I can run against Ethermine for days with no issues.

your gear—— nicehash—— a renter——— a pool

your gear—- a pool

much less connections to hand off.

also the renter can point to a shit coin and switch all over.

so it could be six connections or more vs two connections.

Sometimes they get really stable.

My 2 card hp omen  rigs are very good.  1080ti's about 2 2/3 years old. they run perfectly 50 days in a row no issues

the amd are flakey

A) my service may have an issue
B) smos servers may have an issue
C) nicehash may have an issue

But they are easy peasy to run and I like the direct conversions of eth to btc.

For TRM with Nicehash you can use:

-a ethash -o stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -u wallet.$rigName -p x --eth_stratum_mode=nicehash --api_listen --watchdog_script=/root/utils/force_reboot.sh

This keeps freezing my my server:

-a ethash -o stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa-new.nicehash.com:3353 -u 0xdd484cddd2ad58d2f562db2973ce1f87b59826e4.$rigName -p x --eth_stratum_mode=nicehash --api_listen --watchdog_script=/root/utils/force_reboot.sh

your need a btc addy. as nice hash converts all coin to btc.

Well it is cheap under 100 usd I hope.

First off you did not come here first and you loaded the most up to date bitmain firmware .

This has crippled the machine.
I can't teach you about brains aftermarket firmware.
I can't do a lot due to your choice to firmware upgrade without asking about it.

edit:

looks like you did 2018 firmware not the newest one so you may not have screwed up

Rant has ended. Grin

Go to gui and look for  system click it then click log

Code:
put the log into code format

we can see what the log tells us what is wrong.

also screenshot the configuration page did you do all three pools?

European countries in (partial) lockdown: France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Wales, England, Ireland, North-Ireland, Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Spain.

Hospitals still struggling not yet overwhelmed. Regular care suspended while finding replacements for infected workers becoming harder which leads to even more pressure.

Almost 600,000 new daily cases and deaths at records levels.

Stay safe.

Yeah keep away from all, but the few you need to be near.

@ op you fucked up.  It happens.  I still have 2 eth coins in a frozen wallet that I have not been able to recover.

I have an idea I will post it in about 10 -20 minutes.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still over $13k... currently $13433USD/$17875CAD (Bitcoinaverage)

C'mon November. Start rallying.

Go Bitcoin go.

I was denied entry to a bar once because my DL had expired. I was 29 at the time.

I was carded at the Skydome (baseball park) when I was 60 years old.

Nice ego boost but still a little annoying. I didn't have any real ID at the time. I don't drive. Haven't had a license since 1966. Faked it with other cards.

Didn't have more than a birth certificate, health card and Social Insurance card until MtGox insisted I got an official Ontario ID card or I couldn't withdraw my 50 coins. Got the card and they still ripped me off for my 50 coins.

I'll never expose my coins to the internet again and I will strive to avoid identification and maintain anonymity whenever possible.

Identification facilitates crime.

It creates an entire culture of evil in many ways.

Drop off is still over 15%

Price has dropped a bit to 13,330

USA election will be ending in a day.

It should be interesting to see

A) Who wins
B) If there is a fight over the results.
C) How that effects BTC price.

We had a strong downward trend back in October November December 2018
dropping from 7.45 on oct 4. to  5.1 on dec 18 2018
it took until may 30  2019 to get back to a diff of 7.45

To me it does not feel like this will repeat but who knows.

I'm not really sure if this is anyone's cup of tea or not....kda miner..likely Siacoin blake2b-Sia (Siacoin) miner as well..in that it is the same speed 5.3TH as the hidden miners from this last spring that took over Siacoin network and pumped it 1/3 in a day, but now went away...likely to KDA coin. anyway....the prices they want, etc, etc is insane!

but anyway, something not Bitmain

https://www.akminer.com/all-products/the-most-profitable-asic-miner-ibelink-bm-k1-5-3t-800w-for-kad-coin-mining

Anyway, again, POW miners at whatever 'dumb' price are few and far between...so posting it here. delete it if you consider it off-topic..it also looks to me to be 'quite' the hoard of chips on board, big ass beast, man the heat! Smiley completely unrealistic at that price and with the USA tarrif and import fees of 26.7% plus shipping this very, large brick from China! Smiley anyway, just another POW miner that makes little sense. FYI.

Brad

https://www.akminer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/IMG_366020201024-150838.jpg

deleted  as it is not btc

back to btc we are close to -16% a huge drop off price is over 13500.

if prices hold btc miners will do well the next 2 weeks.  btw if you mined at the right pools the last ten days you did well.  I have been paid 120% at viabtc the last 10 days.  So it comes to about 24 good days of mining btc.
