Yes I didn't plan to mine bitcoins but altcoins. So how much do you think I could earn on altcoins?
You can always calculate your estimate earnings with a tool like this one to see if it's worth: https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculatorE.g: If I had your GPU (1050ti), I would only earn ~0.00089 BTC or $7.49 per month (already taking the energy cost in my country).

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to achieve? Do you mean to say that your change address is the same as your input? Or that the software does not 'generate' a new address when you click on receive?
It's pretty clear in the post: "my address doesnt change anymore after receiving different transactions"
OP: There is no way to "force" a new address. You could try cleaning the cache at the settings or reinstalling the wallet (make sure you have your seed backed up) to see if anything changes. Other than that, I couldn't find a possible solution. Or even better, just stop using Jaxx and move to a better wallet

Thank you for the link. Will try this. The last news about MEW and hackers impressed. May I ask you any question if I have such?
Sure. Whenever you need help, just PM me or create a new thread.

I would be really interested in reading that research myself, because that sounds quite difficult to understand for me. Only 50% of the people in the world even have access to the internet. This would prove to be quite the obstacle when trying to spread the good word about cryptocurrency, at least in my estimations. I know that it is possible to use paper wallets outside of the internet, but I can't practically understand how these people would have knowledge of cryptocurrency without access to internet. Do you remember where you read that?
IIRC I saw those numbers in this medium article, which data was taken from this one: How many people actually own cryptocurrency? After reading the second article, looks like he is talking about some specific countries (US, UK, Germany, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, China and India) and not literally the whole world (mainly countries where people don't have internet)

I don't know what's there up to, there is already a BCH mycelium app in play store as and don't know why they merge it to the main app. They didn't? If you are asking why they didn't merge it, it's because (like the name says) that's a (optional) module. If you care about BCH and wants to hold it in your wallet, download the module. Otherwise, don't and the Mycelium app won't be *more* bloated with things you don't want.
|
|
|
They said that this new "module" thing was necessary for BCH/Segwit/LN and that BCH support was the most requested feature, so they prioritized that. Still, I don't recommend Mycelium for anyone. Don't forget that they made a ICO with a proposal of building a new wallet 2 years ago and they literally did nothing with the money they collected. " Expect A Massive Upgrade"

I can't believe people are still falling for this scam 7 months after its launch. Can't you read the thread and do a 2 + 2 to see that this website doesn't accelerate anything? That this is just a SCAM? The post above yours is literally saying that the website is a scam.

Wasn't Facebook talking about adopting Bitcoin, or some type of crypto, as a currency on their site?
Not adopting Bitcoin or any other crypto, but making their own. I'm more of a conspiracy theorist and I think it might be done in order to stop adoption, like those who don't want crypto to be adopted(big bankers) 'force' the platforms not to list crypto. Then fewer and fewer 'every day people' who aren't much into computer stuff in general, won't be exposed to crypto, and maybe never read about it? You are crazy if you think that stoping cryptocurrencies ads at Facebook will have any impact in the adoption. I have seen a recent research that claims that 75% of the world already know about cryptocurrencies (even that a majority of them don't understand about it). Facebook is actually trying to protect their users against scams and shitcoins. I remember seeing ads on Facebook about those "get rich" ICO's with a 50% investment bonus, and they end up failing or running up with the investors money. Now imagine your regular Joe not that much tech savvy scrolling through Facebook and seeing an ad like this. He will probably think that the ad is legit since it's on Facebook and will end up investing into this shitcoins.

Did you see what is in the 'Meta' board description? "Discussion about the Bitcoin Forum"
Isn't merit a feature of the forum?

Hi, I just sent some BTC, but nothing is show yet on the website. The transaction has 6 confirmations. What should I do?
Contact the ChipMixer support at chipmixer@protonmail.comSince there are a lot of users reporting the same issue, this is most likely an issue with ChipMixer's node that is not catching up the new transactions. But don't worry. I'm 100% sure that they are going to fix it and everyone will be able to withdrawal your chips.

That's weird because I can't find "bitcointalk.org" at the Wikipedia's 2007-2016, 2017 or 2018 Spam Blacklist. And one of the steps to ask for a review is to check the reason why it got blacklisted.
|
|
|
What I tried to do was use an archive.org page for bitcointalk.org and it was also not allowed. I assume because of containing "bitcointalk.org" in the URL.
Try to use archive.is (there won't be any mention to bitcointalk in the URL).

Thanks. I received the coins and did a quick test.
I started the mixing proccess, sent the coins and received the amount indicated in the calculator after 1 confirmation (27 seconds to get included in the next block and a few seconds to get detected by the mixer, which immediately sent the coins). There is not much to be said about the design of the website - which is very simple but functional - TLDR: It was pretty quick.
A few suggestions:
1. Add a "Status" page where the user can input his mixing transaction id and see the details of his tx (the letter of guarantee, if the coins arrived, etc); 2. Also add the transaction id in the Letter of Guarantee. 3. Change the "Timeout" option name to something like "Delay". I'm pretty sure someone will be confused about what this option does. You could also add a quick explanation at the FAQ or put a hover button like you do with the "Client code"; 4. Use Segwit addresses (less fees). This can also be used to increase privacy (i.e generate segwit addresses for 60% of the cases, and legacy for the remaining 40% - I guess this is possible, but I'm not sure).

Most people will disagree with me but I believe that faucets are good, its a good way to get introduced to bitcoin. When I was younger and just got into bitcoin, I had no source of income so I focused on making money from faucets, I gathered enough money to invest into some more lucrative passive forms of earning bitcoin. Faucets are a good place to start if you have alot of free time. They're particularly rewarding when you use some type of rotator to claim from multiple faucets in a short amount of time.
Faucets were good (in the past) when Bitcoin was an unknown technology and you could get 50 BTC to play around. But now? Freebitcoin is giving 21 satoshis per roll (1/hr) - which is ~$0,002 (most faucets will get the same amount of even lower). Maybe you think this is a fairly good amount because they are giving it for free, but yesterday I did a transaction of 1 sat/byte coming from a Segwit address and paid 0.00000272 BTC in fees (10 times what a faucet gives per claim). This post also shows that the cheaper an exchange charges per BTC withdrawal is 0.0001 BTC (~$0,93 and 465 times what a faucet gives per claim). Some are charging 0.001 BTC (~$9,3 and 4650 times a faucet claim or 6 months of 24/7 FreeBitcoin rolls). You could go ask for a few changes at your local park and get $5 much faster than someone who spends the day doing faucets, increasing the light bill and having to pay for your internet.

Change the "Search order" field to "Most recent post first".
I also like prefer to select "Show results as messages" for better visibility.

|
|
Honestly, faucets are just a waste of time. Most of them are time consuming and are giving less than a cent per hour. Can't you just just put $10 in a cheap crypto and start playing with it? (it's easier and quickier).

I do not even understand what copper member mean and the difference between it and the normal rank. Can someone please clarify this for me and other guys who might not understand this ?
The main reason the Copper Member upgrade exists is to allow Newbies to post images. But there are also a few extra bonuses as you can see here: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images

Bitcoin Cash is a hard fork of Bitcoin. Anyone who owned BTC before the hard fork automatically has BCH. The exchanges had no choice and had to give the users who stored BTC in their exchange wallets their share of BCH.
What about the other tons of BItcoin ( shit) hard forks that happened until now? Bitcoin Cash was not only a Bitcoin hard fork, but some kind of "split" from the community, thus they knew BCH trades would have a big volume and a loyal community. Q: How will forked coins be reviewed? A: The forked coin will go through the same strict listing review process as any other coin.
