Here is my s3 farm:

More of the actual construction can be seen on my site at www.bitcoinlasvegas.net

Vegas

This looks really clean, nice.

for the old boys:

how do people actually mined with all those gpus on a single motherboard..? I mean, do you needed all the drivers or what? guide me through it.

Back then there was a lot of info on a few motherboards.  The motherboards had in some cases 5-6 GPU slots (Even x1 slot's were used).   We used risers to spread them apart and try to push air through them.   Needless to say it was quite a different world.

Anyone know where to get and what the correct terms are for the water cooling connectors from the C1 to the tubing?  I need to get ones that are 90 degrees curved.  Is G1/4 90 degree barb correct?

I believe 3/8 ID if using the syscooling tubes.  (Please some correct me or verify before OP uses this number to order parts)

Can some one please tell me what is the rank system here and how to increase my rank. How much posts needed to jump to next ranks

Thanks

It is as much amount of time.  You could make lots of posts, but because of time in equation until new period you will not gain activity.
12645  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase Buying Limits? on: December 21, 2014, 03:15:26 PM
Are exchange fees higher or lower than coinbase?  Coinbase is basically 1 percent plus 0.15 fee each time.  How long does it take to receive the btc from someone else?

Yes coinbase fees are rather low.  If you want huge amounts "instant" you are going to go to localbitcoins.  You will pay a premium.

Someone wanting to get 10k a day and needing it instantly is just not standard coinbase customer.  They limit it so you are not able to get BTC and try to use a empty bank account.  It is protecting their self.    You could spend 10k a day it just will be a few days before you get the btc.

You just need to plan ahead on BTC if using coinbase.
12646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a way to earn 50$ in a month from faucets ? on: December 21, 2014, 03:08:59 PM
I'm just asking if there are people who earn 50$ in a month from faucets ?
If it's possible how ?

Thanks

everything is possible if you good promoting your affiliatte.

Try post every social media do you have.

Tell your friend that you can get some bucks from faucet and they will try.

Don't forget to use your affiliatte link

It would take a lot of friends to get 50 a month. You make even smaller amount from referrals doing faucets then you do doing it yourself.

Are you saying you achieved 50 per month doing this?

@notlist3d

Hey, could you share the link to the pump you use?

Please!!!!!   Wink

Sure! I am using http://www.ebay.com/itm/380693788606 powered by www.amazon.com/Phobya-4-Pin-3-Pin-Splitter-Connection/dp/B007S3T4O0 .

There could be better ones out there.  I just had to get one in a hurry to get my miners back up.  Those did the trick.

1) No it is not instant it will take a few day's.  But yes I believe it was two amounts and takes a few days to transfer.

2) It again will not be instantly.  You need to go through the levels.  10K is quite a bit at once, so does take a high level.

3) Credit card is put on as a way to insure they don't lose money.  If bank failed they could charge credit card.  For instant buying it is required.

I would suggest working on gaining levels on coinbase.   If you really need 10k in a day there is options like localbitcoins,  but you will pay a premium.
12649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a way to earn 50$ in a month from faucets ? on: December 21, 2014, 02:18:24 AM
I believe it is very very hard, if not impossible. The thing is that you have to put some effort into receiving coins from the faucets. So either you keep on "sucking" coins from the faucets over and over, or you employ some kind of bot. The effort you put into this most likely isn't worth the reward... :/

I think it is ok to say impossible.   Only chance was if one was running a promo that you won.

Faucets might get you a few dollars but any big financial amount is not really coming from faucets.    You would be better off buying coins.   Finding a way to make 50 dollars a month would be much easier offline then online through faucets.
12650  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dec 17 to Dec 29th diff thread (-0.32%) to (-0.12%) on: December 21, 2014, 12:06:29 AM
^+1 its been a great week.

My XPY experience is similar: during the timespan that would have netted around 0.75BTC ive made about 2.4BTC on nicehash and directly mined 12XPY (about 0.3BTC)

when paycoin ends, Ill drop back to bitcoin mining and its likely the difficulty wont scale up quickly enough to go positive for the next jump. my money is still on a -1% change this period, which alone is a great christmas ROI bonus

paycoin looks like its not doing too hot though. the 'magic $20+ face-value coins' are still only $6 each on the free market which means GAW will have scammed a lot of investors, or be forced to throw a lot of money into buying back at $20 as they promised to

XPY rebounded nicely to ~$10. I have now sold off the last of my Peecoin. Now we just need someone to come up with another SHA scamcoin that gets all of the clueless fools excited again. I heard Titcoin was pretty sweet.  Cheesy

XPY was a great coin for us miners.   I was able to get in on second day on.  Mined a few of my own when the crazy rental's died off.   Most exciting sha mining in quite a while.
12651  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 - In The Cold on: December 20, 2014, 10:48:05 PM
I thought you start hosting them ..

It's under 20k watts so not really a hosting center.  Just a extra area for my gear.  Allows a little extra gear during winter Smiley
12652  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Spondoolies SP20 - In The Cold on: December 20, 2014, 10:30:32 PM
New mining area? where is that ?

It is a new spot I am starting to put gear in.  This SP20 was first to go in it.   Working perfect.   Have cold ambient air to cool miners, and some electricity capacity I was not using before.
12653  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 20, 2014, 09:44:08 PM
Possible cause to and solution to pump malfunction and system running hotter that some of you may have if you plug the harness directly on your power supply.

I installed a second C1 this afternoon for a friend. At first the pump was not functioning. I checked the current on the wiring harness with a multimeter and discovered that I was running on 3.5v. I checked the pin-out of the 6 pins aux on the power supply and discovered that the 12v was coming from another pin than what the harness was expecting. The fan were spinning on 3.5v. For fun I tried to plug the harness on the 5v and discovered that the pump is running but a lot slower and the miner was about 5 degree hotter when the fan and pump run on 5v but it's working.

So if you plug the harness directly on your power supply check the voltage that you have. You might think that the pump is not working because your harness receive 3.5v. Also your system might run hotter just because you are on 5v.

In the end the miner is working perfectly.

I can say I had two with cold ambient temps.  Temp was not cause.

On a side note I am still using the ebay pumps and amazon molex to 3 pin power adapter all of which is working good.

XPY mining has been extended until noon EST Sunday: https://hashtalk.org/topic/24715 Nope, 0 rewards. Nothing to see here, move along Smiley

Yea I thought the same.  You can mine another day but zero reward.

Guess back to BTC for us all.  Now interesting to see what BTC does.

Gaw has the money if they use so much of it to bring up to 20 no one knows.   I to enjoyed nicehash extra profits.   I also mined a few XPY for fun.   Will just hold those for the fun of it.
12656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: noob in bitcoin on: December 20, 2014, 03:50:24 PM
Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme.  Also watch out on cloud as mentioned some might be Ponzi.

You can buy and hold.  With that amount there is really not a lot of investing to do.
12657  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: USB Block Erupter sucks on: December 20, 2014, 10:39:30 AM
I own a block erupter blade (basically 32 usb block erupters on one board, uses 100W, 10 GH/s), and managed to break even with it after about 5 months mining last year.

At this point they just dont pack enough hash to make roi.  They are a fun thing for someone learning mining, but not really something you do for a profit.

It only has 1 PCIE 6+2 cable, you need 2 seperate cables,1 per board.Drawing 400 watts on one cable is NOT good, the cable CAN burn up  Roll Eyes

Go with the CX 600,it has 2 PCIE cables & is ALOT cheaper  Wink

If you do not mind refurb you can actually get the CX 750 cheaper then the new 600.   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139112&cm_re=cx750-_-17-139-112-_-Product

I have two and both worked fine.
