If I missed the run up, I wouldn't buy ETH unless there's upside momentum.

12643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ETH] Ethereum = Scam on: January 29, 2016, 09:52:46 AM
Have to admit I'm a bit surprised by this pump. The Ethereum developers even have a red slash through the word safe on the front page of their website. There might be a reason for that.

https://www.ethereum.org/

It is meant to discourage newbies and non-technical people from getting involved in the early stages.  That red slash could be removed in a year or two (or more) when Ethereum is good and ready.  That's either never happening or it's a success with ETH at over 10 USD per coin.  But it's all speculation at this point.
12644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Aren't we in a state of denial? (MARKET CYCLE UPDATED, VOTES RESET) on: January 29, 2016, 08:52:21 AM
Now that the new market cycle pic almost closely represents reality, people tend to avoid the topic of denial.
12645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Aren't we in a state of denial? (MARKET CYCLE UPDATED, VOTES RESET) on: January 29, 2016, 03:30:48 AM
gotta test 320 again before we know this last uptrend wasnt a suckers rally! so if you flip that chart I would say we are in the fear zone of an upward trend (Bear Trap)

I have the same thought.  But that's what made me ask myself if this is me in denial or not...
12646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solar Powered Miner : From the EverGreenCoin Team on: January 29, 2016, 02:15:17 AM
Nice idea.  Do it!  And let's hope other projects pick up on the idea and goes green.
12647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitshares WTI Crude Oil and S&P 500 Prediction market assets now trading on: January 29, 2016, 02:13:01 AM
mad money printing

speaking of prediction markets, they also got a super bowl betting asset in play as well

Go Broncos!

Their fans are miles higher above the lower 48 ((let's alter the rest of these)states)

This.  And they should do other sporting events as well.  That could attract users if marketed well.
12648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Aren't we in a state of denial? on: January 29, 2016, 01:58:49 AM
Tongue

This is exactly what I had in mind!  I will post this in the OP.
12649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitshares WTI Crude Oil and S&P 500 Prediction market assets now trading on: January 29, 2016, 01:30:43 AM
Just wondering, why do people around here refer Bernake as 'Helicopter Ben'?  Why Helicopter?
12650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Aren't we in a state of denial? on: January 29, 2016, 12:17:49 AM
This is of course dependent on your time frame as a trader or investor.

Judging from my point of view the $460 - $500 USD price was a peak.
The price has been declining since. So then, yes this could be the denial phase.

If so, then that means it could go down further...
12651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you know Bitcoin will tank tomorrow, which altcoin would you jump to? on: January 29, 2016, 12:10:02 AM
I would go to the safe haven coin, LTC.

I think that is a pretty safe play. The only other option that I feel would work if you had a considerable amount of Bitcoin would be to sell into fiat and hold.

Yeah, this also.  But it's hard to trust which exchange to hold fiat.  NBT is a good option for this but there isn't much volume.

Edit:  There's also USDT by Tether and Bit.Fiat by Bitshares.  But again no volume.
12652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Without Blockchain on: January 28, 2016, 11:49:47 PM
Also Stellar, which could be a better implementation after forking Ripple.
12653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you know Bitcoin will tank tomorrow, which altcoin would you jump to? on: January 28, 2016, 11:46:32 PM

12654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Ripple be “The Killer App” Bitcoin has been looking for? on: January 28, 2016, 06:13:40 PM
No.  Ripple isn't Ripple Labs' top priority anymore.  It's Interledger.

Agree, XRP isn't Ripple's top priority anymore, XRP is more of a part of the Interledger Protocol.  The ability for small banks to trade with large banks that would normally not trust the smaller institutions. This is a game changer.

This is a game changer for the banks for sure.  Now make it decentralized so that they could use it but not control/manipulate it.

12655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Ripple be “The Killer App” Bitcoin has been looking for? on: January 28, 2016, 01:36:38 PM

12656  Economy / Speculation / Re: All alts going crazy, people are fed up!!!! on: January 28, 2016, 01:33:57 PM
And those altcoin price will rise down when block size problem has solved, but we even don't know for sure when this problem will be solved.
But, ethereum's price which is most hot altcoin isn't raising though Roll Eyes

Guess traders and altcoin investors are happy right now, i even saw an altcoin which rise above 1000% Roll Eyes
Even so, none of these altcoin can fight bitcoin market cap or trading volume.

Pretty sure some of them dumped those altcoins for BTC near the peak, and are holding more BTC right now.  Grin

You're the worst shill that has ever come on these boards.  I give you a D for effort.
12658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Ripple be “The Killer App” Bitcoin has been looking for? on: January 28, 2016, 11:31:15 AM
I don't think so. Since some working "2.0 coins" are out in the wild XRP is hopelessly outdated. In addition, XRP never gained widespread adoption. At this moment it appears ETH will "be “The Killer App” Bitcoin has been looking for".

For now, yes.

12659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Ripple be “The Killer App” Bitcoin has been looking for? on: January 28, 2016, 11:04:49 AM
No.  Ripple isn't Ripple Labs' top priority anymore.  It's Interledger.
