12642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: October 23, 2015, 06:39:51 AM
1. Buy $10 worth of bitcoins.
2. Go to https://coffee.foldapp.com and buy a $10 starbucks gift card for $8 in bitcoin.
3. You have $2 in bitcoin and a $10 starbucks gift card.

You just made $2 in bitcoins. You're welcome.

Since I don't drink coffee my profit from those manipulations would be minus $8 .  Smiley

But thanks for the suggestion, it might be helpful for those who like to drink coffee, because Starbucks is the best! of course. )
12643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: October 22, 2015, 07:44:25 PM
$1 in BTC is about 0.004 which is 400k satoshis. You can get that in an hour by going through many faucets.
My faucet rotator:
http://www.bitcoinrotators.com/u/Bitcoinerist
has 500+ faucets and can get AT LEAST 293469 satoshi for claiming all. They all go directly to your bitcoin address or faucetbox.
It is at least, so you can get way more up to over 0.01 bitcoin.

You said at least 290k satoshi but you forgot something. How many hours you have to spend to rotate all your faucet list. If you spend 30 second for a faucet, atleast it is 4 hours and it is again less than 1 dollar.

just saying it's 290k satoshi minimum. If you're lucky, you can even get 0.01 from 1 faucet. and way more..... but I won't say I'm correct

"If you're lucky" you can bet just 10k sats with 0.01% winning chance and win 1 Bitcoin. Of course this way may not be considered as acceptable if you want to make some coins irl and not in your dreams.

As for the faucets, I tried this way too some time ago and came to the conclusion that all the faucets are waist of time mostly. Sometimes they even lie stating that the minimum you can get from the faucet is 500 sats and in reality you get 50 or 60 sats which is very annoying and you can't do nothing about it. I wouldn't recommend faucets to anybody.
12644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: October 22, 2015, 03:24:02 PM
hello everyone.
i want to know what do you think about gambling bitcoin.. Does Beneficial or more losses?
Share your story here guys!  Grin Grin Grin

ofcourse gambling is not wrong.. its your talent of predicting ..

I have learnt many things from gambling and i have made much profit from it too

Good for you! Can you share please more details about your profit? Because from what I heard and from my own experience you can only lose when gambling. You can lose a small amount or you can lose all what you have, it depends on your luck, you will always lose something  in the long run, from what I know at least.
12645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay for the companionship of a Supermodel with Bitcoin. All Money is Money! on: October 22, 2015, 03:10:52 PM
I tried this service out actually.
It was an ok date until she was all like "come on, come on! Hurry up with the confirmation already, baby!" It kinda put me off and my tx was rejected by the chain   Undecided

WTF? Are you serious? Hahahah...

Yes that actually happened. What a shame!

Lana wasn't happy.

http://fallenangels.london/models/Lana/

Wow! $1000 per hour! Or maybe they are even pounds? I presume you are joking, but really who pays such money for a company? And what a feeling it must be when you are thinking she talks to you only because you paid for that?
12646  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Placing machines outside on cold winter? -20 on: October 22, 2015, 02:50:46 PM
oh yeah,

pro build is always better .

Well.

Ive had my sp20 and s5s outside, and let me say that they underperform at cold temps.

So skip putting them outside, will just warm the house for winter .

That's a nice decision! I was always thinking what if not just ventilate out the hot air but to use for heating something like a greenhouse or even the house where you live.
12647  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining taxes on: October 22, 2015, 02:29:37 PM
I heard that the government is starting to take taxes from big miners.
At a company, if you invest/buy equipment you would buy it tax-free, however you will have to pay for the taxes of your income.
Do the big miners get their mining equipment tax-free? Because they still need to pay income taxes afterwards.
Or do they pay taxes for both?

It depends on where you live I think. In Europe as far as I know no miners pay taxes from mining, but they should pay VAT (which is pretty big in some cases, 20-25%) when buying things from abroad (including miners and all the equipment ).
12648  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: October 22, 2015, 01:58:49 PM

Really i don't see any advantage buying physical bitcoin designs that are made by some persons.

The 100 trillion dollar Zimbabwean note was worth around 25c when it was an actual currency. Now it's obsolete they go for $10-20 all day long on Ebay.

I love those notes!  Smiley Going to buy one for my collection. Didn't know they cost so much now though. $10-20 for a note? I think I can buy like for $3-5 where I live, at least the price was like that some time ago, but maybe it's too late now for that cheap price.

12649  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BTC is money on: October 22, 2015, 01:50:32 PM

Well, I think they made the right decision. I mean for me any decision of a court which makes holders of Bitcoin feel better is right. )

"Those transactions are exempt from VAT under the provision concerning transactions relating to 'currency, bank notes and coins used as legal tender'," the ECJ concluded.
12650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: October 21, 2015, 04:38:14 PM
We gotta stop using the word is not, or can't.  We should be using the word, it is highly unlikely to profit from the casino in a long run sort of situation.  The amount of people in the world should be enough to take over house edge.

I agree. There is a chance (or should I say there are chances even) when gambling is profitable in long term. But we should be aware of the fact that this chance is one in a million or maybe even less.
12651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency? on: October 21, 2015, 03:45:38 PM
i feel like bitcoin is already getting fairly popular even without advertising because it is just so great. "great things don't need advertising"

Well, I disagree. Great things do need advertising nowadays and we all know that.

Just name one thing which is great and we know it without advertising. I mean a human-made thing not one of the bounties of Nature of course.

If we do not advertise bitcoin, the adoption will be slower.

If we do not educate people about bitcoin, advertising would be worthless.. We need to make the image of bitcoin more fun or entertaining + advertise it's pros. Cheesy
The education comes with the advertisement, so it isn't a concern.

I agree that we should combine both, advertisement and education to make Bitcoin more popular.

I think there should be t-shirts with something like this:

Do you know that one Bitcoin is selling for $270?
No. That's bragging. We don't want to come off egotistical or arrogant.

Let's let our greatness speak for itself. Also going off of what that other user mentioned, bitcoins fluxuate from one price to another. We don't want a fixed price.

Okay, great.  Smiley That was just my suggestion how to attract people to learn about Bitcoin. If you have more intelligent ideas, well, that's great, I don't want to come off egotistical or arrogant either.  Smiley

But I still think we can use t-shirts with writings only I'd change the writing to:

Do you know that one Bitcoin is selling for over $200 now?
12652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: October 21, 2015, 03:03:32 PM
Western Union at best is a major ripoff.

Used them a couple of times as there was no other way to send funds quickly but since getting involved with bitcoin I've never been back to WU and doubt I ever will.

I've had the same experience with Western Union, used it couple of times too. Unfortunately I can't say I will not use it anymore because if you go to a place where there is no localbitcoins you are bound to use the service of Western Union in some cases.
12653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: October 21, 2015, 02:26:48 PM
If you deposit at a gambling site then you should think what you deposit is already a lost that is why it will help to take some stress out if you really lose them all but if you make a little back then withdraw them and keep it safe until you decide to deposit it back to the site

This is a superb strategy.

I agree. This is the one and only strategy which will work for you everytime you use it.

I've seen it before, but it was said in other words, but now it is really well said.
12654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Might Sounds Strange: Bitcoin Violates the Principle of Money Fungibility on: October 21, 2015, 02:13:58 PM
...
the funny part about buying freshly mined coins for a premium is the same as buying a new car..
.. as soon as it transfers ownership to you, its no longer new and fresh and automatically loses value straight away.
...
That is a great comparison and may be the proper perspective.
Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how this market turns out in the far future.

Since most people do not like to use their head much this market will be booming IMO. Take for example so-called "clean" water or "GMO free" products.
12655  Other / Politics & Society / Re: McDonald’s Is Days From Opening Restaurant Run Entirely By Robots on: October 21, 2015, 01:48:09 PM
I'm still waiting for my local McD's to switch over to the robot staff. I'm not eating there until they do.

Yeah, me too!  Grin The food they are serving is not appealing to me at all, but when the robots will do it I'll go go there for sure.
12656  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: October 21, 2015, 12:59:32 PM
if i could earn enough maybe yes.

We will not earn enough to support living by doing bitcoin only. The bitcoin industry is too small at the moment. Maybe in 10 years.

I hope you are wrong. Firstly, some people are already making a big profit with Bitcoin and, secondly, why "in 10 years"Huh The speed with which everything changes in the world nowadays is much bigger.

12658  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Satoshi Nakamoto WON'T win a Nobel Prize on: October 21, 2015, 09:10:03 AM
I do not think that identity is not a concern for a noble prize as many people had won noble prize after their life also. So, may be noble prize would make Satoshi to unveil himself to the world. I'm very much ken to know him for his dedicated work for the financial world.

Yes. At least to receive the noble prize, Satoshi Namamoto must come out. But we can not push the noble prize committee for a prize for inventing the bitcoin system right now. May be after the huge success of bitcoin and financial revolution from it would make people to award Satoshi a noble prize.

No, it is not necessarily for the person  who is awarded with the prize to show up. Here's what happened to Russian writer Boris Pasternak, as an example:

Quote
In 1958, Boris Pasternak declined his prize for literature due to fear of what the Soviet Union government might do if he travelled to Stockholm to accept his prize. In return, the Swedish Academy refused his refusal, saying "this refusal, of course, in no way alters the validity of the award." The Academy announced with regret that the presentation of the Literature Prize could not take place that year, holding it until 1989 when Pasternak's son accepted the prize on his behalf.

This is a very cool startup IMO. I'm not sure if it's polite to ask, so please forgive me and ignore my question if it makes you uncomfortable to answer.

What I'm interested in is how are you doing so far, did you make any profit?
12660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: October 21, 2015, 08:30:04 AM
I dont think there is such a way to earn 1$ per hour but yeah u can earn that in a day with. The help of faucets...

Your target can still be acquired in an hour if you have a large unvestment on a bitcoin project

you can do it with signature easily, it is only 0.0036, very easy to do, with 3 post if you are hero, you can do it in 3 minute not 1 hour

I'm never can do earn 1 btc per hour within my live Huh
if hou have a method earn 1 btc per hours you can share with us

i doubt anyone thta is making that much will share with us, his secret, but i also doubt that among us there is who is earning that much..

I'm not a Hero yet, actually I'm far from it, but thanks for your reply! It is short, constructive and very helpful. Now I, and many of those who are reading this topic searching for some answers, can see that there is a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour.
