Will he be trading futures or the actual asset? does this bring us closer to an ETF since the SEC would sure like to see huge players trading an ETF and not Bitcoin itself? (so they can manipulate it better..)
Huge players are not going to buy ETF rather than Bitcoin to manipulate the market. Pension funds, for example, cannot buy bitcoin for regulatory and legal reasons. Of course they want to buy, but they simply can't. But they can buy an ETF. Other funds cannot buy Bitcoin, but they can buy futures. Huge players are not buying future or ETF to manipulate, but because they can't buy bitcoin directly. Bitcoin is asset with the higher valuation over the last 10 years. Bitcoin in the right proportion in a portfolio even lower it's risk, as its risk is completely disassociated to any other traditional asset (like stocks and bonds). Great players are coming in, they just can't now.

There used to be old times when things were too old and we didn't knew anything. Take a typewriter, then came PC, then Laptop for more convenience and then we are seeing high quality mobiles and tablets overtaking them. As with each new era, there came a new technology to replace old one with its upgrade. Will there be any more advanced technology than blockchain that could replace it and be more precise than this? I know that blockchain is something we can call as perfect ATM, but is there anything that could still beat this technology and overtake this?
There are already blockchain options. Iota doesn't use blockchain technology. It uses directed acyclic graphs (dag), which is quite different. Not a replacement, as Android is not a replacement for windows.

I would like to get the status - Member. I have high activity, but there is no Member status, who can help? Thanks.
Do some research before posting, you will get member quickly. You need 10 merit, not hard to get. In which section is it best to publish my messages in order to get merit? Depends a lot. Mostly you need to make relevant posts to the topic and you will get awarded. Bitcoin Technical discussion and Meta are good places to start... If you are russian, just post anything in local board and you will get tons of merit.

I hope you guys remember to sell on the weekend pump. My guess is that the top will be at around 7100-7200$
If I sell we will hit 20k again on Monday. Nah, that's just the feeling that every inexperienced trader gets in the start. They trade on emotion as the majority, so they lose together with this majority. This makes it seem like the market is specially after you. It's not after you, it's after the majority, what you can do is keep yourself distanced from that majority who is destined to lose. And don't trade in single trades. Start selling a little piece at a time to lower the risk. The majority is selling now. Buy high sell low.

Yesterday I added my signed message to the Tomatocage's thread for stacking bitcoin addresses, but then I realize that I cannot verify it online, only in my wallet, and deleted my post. No point to post it if it cannot be verified online. So thankfully found this thread and I know why. Almost no info in Google tho. Seems that the SegWit addresses cannot be used to sing messages at the moment, even if you have this feature in the wallet. I guess I have to create a normal address only to verify my account here.
I agree with you, no reason to sign messages from segwit using electrum if it cannot be verified and if it's non standard. Your signature would be worthless. You can download some mobile wallet such as coinomi and sign a message from there, much better to protect your account and done in 5 minutes. Offtopic: This was one of my firsts posts in bitcointalk. Thanks to this issue I had when recovering some byteballs (which requires signing messages) I discovered how good this forum is. Pretty happy to see it's still useful ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

You do not need any bitcoin to sign a message. You can sign a message from an address with zero bitcoin.
Just download any mobile wallet with signing features and it´s done. I would do it now if I were you.
You just need to prove that own the address, not that you own a bitcoin.

People are doing transactions using lightning network with this wallet on the bitcoin mainnet. Soon more wallets will be doing this too. This will reflect the price anytime soon.

No. What you are saying is not true. Abundant electricity? Excess energy? That is not how the electric grid works. You need to produce the exact same amount of electricity, that is demanded every single second. If you produce more, the frequency increases, if you produce less, it decreases. 0,1% difference is tolerated in my country, and I believe in whole Europe. Also, You are right about Visa having hidden electricity costs, but I believe something similar to a Life Cycle Assessment could be carried out to find out the truth. I watched the video you linked, and now I see where you got your ideas from. Sadly, what this guy says, is partially wrong. There are some things he gets right, but there are so many points he gets wrong. If you build a power plant with the capacity of 50MW, it will not produce 50MW all the time. The output can be regulated. Even if the power plant is based on alternative/renewable energy sources like wind, solar or hydro. Also, you can turn these power plants off, this person was wrong at that point, too. You can shut down windmills, as they usually do in heavy winds to prevent damage, or when would be too much power produced. You can easily regulate a hydro power plant. Also, pumped hydro is the most common way to store energy (yes, it is possible to store energy, which is relevant in the energy sector). I believe you can do it with solar panels aswell. And I'm curious why this person, Andreas, have little to no idea about the basic concept of the electric grid, yet stands out, talks about it, spreading false ideas, and even puts it onto youtube. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Well, what you are saying is not entirely true, even in Europe. Only on thermal and nuclear plants you can produce the exact amount of energy being demanded. And these are not the only types of electricity plants in the world. There are countries in Europe like Switzerland which they pump water from the base of the valley back to the top of the elevation, so they can sell this excess energy at peak hours of consume to another countries. If energy could be stored, that would not happen. Search about it on google you will find out. Indeed some are hydro plants are able to store energy, but not all of them. Not all hydro plant have a reservoir, actually some of the biggest of the world do not have. They are called Run-of-the-river hydroelectricity . The biggest one in Brazil (Itaipu), and one of the biggest in the world, is one of this kind of hydro plant. These kind of hydro power plants just can´t store energy, and the amount of energy produced cannot be controlled. Even if bitcoin is not be produced from excess energy, it can still be a sponsor of alternative energy sources. As cryptomining is profitable, people could buy solar panels (which can be shut down, but there is no reason to do so, and you cannot store solar energy) and use the excess energy produce to mine. I think Antonopoulos sometimes speaks too much, but he is very knowledge about crypto and respected in crypto community. Maybe he made a few mistakes in that video, but he has a point. Just saying bitcoin is just bad for the environment is just false and hypocrisy.

I disagree. With something as complicated as the lightning network, a good wallet is going to make all the difference. If it's hard to use, it will severely limit adoption and people won't use it nearly as much, but with smooth, good looking apps like these there's a much better chance to get it in the hands of many more people.
I agree with you. The projects that are the most needed now are the infrastructure ones, the boring ones. Bitcoin adoption needs easy to use Wallets, with beautiful and friendly interface. Bitcoin needs a lot of exchanges, on as many fiat pairs are possible. This wallet is just the beginning for lightning network. People need to use lightning network without even knowing that it exists.
