12681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Greatest Bitcoin Invention Ever! on: November 01, 2015, 02:41:28 PM
ok the way i can see it working well would be this..

when you write a comment you pay 2cents..
1cent goes to the video producer.. and 1 cent is stored as a '+1' credit..

meaning you get to +1 another persons post..

so lets say 20 people write comments..(40cent total budget) video producer gets 20cent
and then the commenters see that 3 commenters make very informative posts
Commenter A: +12 (12cent reward)
Commenter B: +5 (5cent reward)
Commenter C: +3 (3cent reward)

this will mean that people will want to make very informative comments in the hope people will +1 them, and get some profit from the comments

That actually sounds like something that might work.
But there already is sites that pay people to post/comment and even like an article.

The OP's idea is not something new.

As far as I understand the OP's idea was not to be paid when submitting a comment but to pay if you want to make one. And this is new and interesting idea IMO, because it may help to get rid of many spammy comments.
12682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: November 01, 2015, 12:40:58 PM
i always lose when playing dice game. the highest win i ever had only 0.00001.. then lose..

That's interesting! I thought my winnings were the smallest ones.  Smiley

No way I'm encouraging you to gamble, but if just out of curiosity you want to try to win more than 1k sats in a dice game, you can go to Magical Dice, take 500 sats from their faucet, and bet at 25% win chance all of them. It may take you several times of trying (they give 500 sats every 3 mins), but you will win eventually 2k sats.  Smiley
Is it constantly at 500 sat? I wouldn't go for that if it's true. Try to wager some amounts at casino which have a leveling system which allows higher faucet claims like Primedice and Rollin.io. I personally have 2000 sat per 3 min at primedice and I haven't lose any money and in fact gained some money when I tried to reach it. Take my words with a pinch of salt however.

At Primedice you have more than 1k faucet only if you wagered more than 1 Bitcoin, which is not so easy to achieve. If you have less than 1 Bitcoin wagered on Primedice, your faucet would be only 200 sats there.

12684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Birthday Bitcoin on: November 01, 2015, 10:25:09 AM
The genesis block emerged on January 3rd 2009. There's a fine timeline here - https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Category:History

The total number of coins is here - https://blockchain.info/charts/total-bitcoins

i think that is the real birthday of bitcoin. everything before that is just the pregnancy  Cheesy

I agree. It would be more accurate to say that Bitcoin was conceived on 31 October 2008.

But isn't that a reason to celebrate too?  Smiley
12685  Economy / Economics / Re: The $1 Million Dollar Bitcoin on: November 01, 2015, 10:05:31 AM
For 1 Bitcoin to be worth $1,000,000, the total market cap of Bitcoin would have to be $21 trillion dollars. What are the odds of this happening?

For reference, the amount of physical $dollars and coins in circulation are around $1.2 trillion. The global M2 money supply of all currencies are around $45 trillion. The market cap of all mined gold is around $7 trillion.

Will 1 Bitcoin be worth a million dollars? Half a million? Thoughts?

Considering the fact that the global M2 money supply of all currencies is around $45 trillion, as OP said (some say it's close to $62 trillion, idk) , it sounds reasonable that in case Bitcoin replaces all the money in the world it would cost around a million dollars or even more.

However, I don't think this will ever happen, or, to be more accurate, I don't think this will happen during our lifetime.

IMO Bitcoin will be $1000 in two years from now and maybe $2000 in five years.
12686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween greetings from the Crypto crypt. on: November 01, 2015, 09:36:32 AM
The words "Crypto" or Cryptocurrency do not help Bitcoin gain mainstream acceptance, since 'crypto' sounds so much like crypt.

Here's my two cents: No, "Crypto" is a nice word which, when heard, is associated with a “secret”, which would be interesting to unriddle.

Most of us IMO never think of a creepy burial place when we hear the word.

Do we think of a cock when we hear Coca-Cola?  Grin  I don't think so.

But I understand that it was mostly a Halloween post, and it was a nice one.  Smiley
12687  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much profit have you made from Gambling? on: October 30, 2015, 07:14:13 PM
If you ask me, my biggest win was 0.015 on Primedice. I never gamble with big amounts, only with that I can afford to lose. My overall profit is minus 0.1 approximately. Not so bad. I think I'm a lucky gambler, if I lost only 0.1 from more than a year of gambling. )
12688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: October 30, 2015, 03:45:32 PM
Where can we find people that use western union and how can we make them aware of bitcoin?

That's a good question! ) We can start from the Wiki page

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Union

and add some links on Bitcoin in the See also section.

We also can go to a forun related to Western Union, like this one

http://www.topix.com/forum/who/western-union

and spam them with Bitcoin praises.

Would it be effective though?  Smiley
12689  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to get many signups? on: October 30, 2015, 03:32:52 PM
How to get many signups to lets say a bitcoin casino type of website as an affiliate? Both for free and payed. Where people interested in bitcoins hangout, except here of course?
These are the things i think commonly used

1. signature .. more posts you make .. more people will see it .. may attract people

2. PTC .. many use ptcs .. i have used this to get huge number of referrals

3. posting in forum by creating thread.. i needed referrals for a site (for Referral contest ) i agreed to pay 1000 doge per sign up .. i got 20 referrals within a day .. and most of them are active in the site ( which wasn't in the rule i put forth )

Okay, that's interesting! But how much you get from those referrals so far? Was it worth it, I mean paying 1000 doge per sign up?
12690  Economy / Marketplace / Re: any Halloween promotion in Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2015, 03:23:47 PM
The only thing I have found similar to a promotion is Moon bitcoin faucet providing a 100% bonus in all claims.

I abandoned that faucet long time ago when I decided to stop using faucets because they were waist of time mostly, but I remember that Moon bitcoin was of the good ones. That's nice of them that they are doing Hallowee promotin. Keep it up Moon!  Smiley
12691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: October 30, 2015, 02:23:40 PM
If you are investor or owner of gambling its always profitable no lost you unlike the player in gambling they can lost and they can win its depend on there luck on playing gambling.

owner of gambling sites are very few but many of them here are players so most likely they will lose over the time.

Wait, I dont' get it. How possibly can they lose if they are owners. You mean, they can lose to themselves?  Smiley

If you are the owner of a gambling site you have all the chances to have profit from gambling.
12692  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Life Inside a Bitcoin Mine: Interview with Genesis Mining’s Marco Streng on: October 30, 2015, 02:15:25 PM
Actually the step they have taken towards making the so called "Cloud Mining" a trustworthy state it's really good, and the three streams links work well with slow internet connection too ... It could be monitored by all of us and also looking forward for their other mining locations as well to be streamed to the public... base on the interview, I think I'm going to give up a dream that I had for so long which I was hoping one day I could make it happen ( My own mining farm, only to be used for personal matter ) ... the trial and error stage is too risky for a single guy I think unless the funds are unlimited then why not

But these cameras cover only a very smaller area and are fixed. It would be better if they can rotate the cameras and let us see more about what's going on in the bitcoin farm.

Yes, that would be not so hard to make. If we have cameras like this one

http://www.zurich-airport.com/passengers-and-visitors/shopping-and-attractions/webcams-en/webcam-livestream

which everyone can control, all the more is possible to make cameras which registered users can control.
12693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go? on: October 30, 2015, 01:36:19 PM
Now it is not the time to leave the Bitcoin space. With all that is happening, including the price increase, this will have a very positive effect in our profits. So all I can say is that prepare yourself for the $1000 mark! Just my opinion  Roll Eyes

I agree, $1000 mark is my opinion too. I'm not saying it will reach the mark right away, but it will sooner or later. My prediction is two years from now.
12694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: October 30, 2015, 01:17:24 PM
BTC = USD - it is the same, please  Cheesy

Why do you think it is the same, same on what.
Bitcoin is a digital (virtual) currency and dollar is physical and digital currency too.
Also bitcoin is a platform itself, it is all open, and all transaction are visible to the public.

That was a troll posr I guess.  Smiley Of course BTC is not equal to USD. If you have any doubt about this statement please take a look

http://preev.com/

It is obviously more than USD x 300. So they are not equal. )
12695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin CEO spent stolen funds to Buy Sex on: October 30, 2015, 09:40:30 AM
shame on you mark, you did so much bad things to bitcoin community as a whole
i dont wish him beign in prison, but he deserves it

I just wanted to say the same thing. It's impossible to wish somebody to go to jail especially if the person has done no physical harm to anybody, but Mark gets on my nerves by what he is doing a lot.
12696  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Edward Snowden praises EU parliament vote against US extradition on: October 30, 2015, 09:16:45 AM

Edward Snowden praises EU parliament vote against US extradition

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/oct/29/edward-snowden-eu-parliament-vote-extradition

<< Edward Snowden on Thursday hailed as "extraordinary" and a "game-changer" a vote in the European parliament calling on member states to prevent his extradition to the US. The parliament voted 285-281 to pass a largely symbolic measure, a resolution that called on European Union member states to "drop any criminal charges against Edward Snowden, grant him protection and consequently prevent extradition or rendition by third parties, in recognition of his status as whistleblower and international human rights defender".

Snowden has lived in exile in Russia since revealing secret US government surveillance programs in June 2013. The European parliament is a directly elected legislature with members from all 28 EU member states. Its legislative authority is limited. The resolution amounted to a request that member states reject attempts by the US to arrest and prosecute Snowden.

"This is not a blow against the US government, but an open hand extended by friends", Snowden tweeted. "It is a chance to move forward". >>

Does this mean Snowden will move to Europe now? I thought the only reason he stayed in Russia was his fear of extradition to the US.
12697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS STILL FAMOUS on: October 30, 2015, 09:02:43 AM
Many ppl have heard about bitcoin. But they rarely buy it due to its fluctuating price. Now it is a time to buy it and get some profits.

Yes, yes and yes. I wish more people think like this. Then we would never have the price-dumpings like we had in the past and everybody would win.
12698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys... I'm having this feeling again on: October 30, 2015, 08:21:28 AM
I think at the end of every year there is a massive pump and then when the year starts there is a big dump.
Except last year the pump never happened but the dump did.
I think this is a yearly or bi yearly cycle.

Don't you think the halving in 9 months is effecting the price at all?

I think, yes, the halving is effecting the price, and right now the price ($332) is not as high as it should be ($500) in several months. But if we have say $800 in December then we can talk about cycles mentioned above, then, yes, it is a pump ($800 per BTC) and the dump (to $450, or even to $350) will follow.
12699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about this comment ? on: October 29, 2015, 07:02:07 PM
It's still true that wealth disparity in bitcoin isn't good, but it's i think even have 1BTC makes you rich if everyone in this world use bitcoin.

If you own 1 bitcoin in the future, you are one of top 21 million rich person. So please hold and use your bitcoin to make bitcoin popular.

in reality you're much better off than that because several persons have thousands of bitcoin, leaving even less for the average joe.

Having 1 full bitcoin or more makes you quite rich compared to most others.

$300? it's a steal, even $3000 is way too cheap.

If bitcoin sees any success as a global currency it needs to be several orders of magnitude higher, there just aren't enough whole bitcoins for everyone to have one, and $300 is far too accessible for the average joe.
This a million times. But for some reason, people don't just understand this. They don't have a proper understanding of supply and demand. They can't see how the current marketcap is pathetically low and so is the price, it's microscopic. Wake up people, Bitcoin is cheap at 3 dollars, 300, and 3000. At 30k? Then we are talking something competitive. The opportunities to make mad bank with it are so high it's not even funny.

I agree. Now it's just too early for people to understand this. In the future all the people in the world will be using Bitcoin and maybe some other cryptocurrencies because of convenience and maybe some other reasons. It's just the matter of time.
12700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Proposes Jail Sentence for Bitcoin Activities on: October 29, 2015, 06:46:06 PM
So ponzi schemes are legal in Russia, but Bitcoin illegal?

idiots

They are not idiots. Ponzi schemes are made by those who make laws and Bitcoin is something they don't understand and fear for that reason.
