Totes unlike every Bitcoin "business" ever on /bitcoin securities/
Your comments are invalid. Block size is the overview of the growing technology. If you go in depth you'll find what we were at the base and how we have improved.
Block size limit is a parameter. I'm certain that you have no idea how to explain 'how we improved' either. Who buys BTC and "just leaves it in [their] wallet or spend[s ] it" tho? No one on this forum, that's for sure.
Just because you don't know such people, that does not mean that they don't exist. Fintech (as in financial technology), has produced many ideas that seemed to have some sort of potential only for them to die out. Even before the term fintech started being used, many seemingly innovative technologies never caught on or just flopped shortly after their release. One could argue that bitcoin wouldn't go bellow it's current use levels as it's a decentralized currency and the economy it has developed is supposedly robust and organic. However, in a market as free as this one, seeing other alternatives receive more adoption in terms of use isn't something unlikely. And if there's anything that kills a cryptocurrency, it's lack of use.
Now I understand your point, thanks.

there is actually 5 platinum stars reserved for Satoshi Nakamoto and nobody else?
Yes. You can see those stars clearly if you take a look at his last post. You won't find them on someone else.

Pen and paper is a old technique ,USB stick with Ubuntu is the safest.
Just because they're old, that does not mean that they're ineffective. Hardware options are not included here ? Neither are other physical collectible coin wallets .
Don't use physical Bitcoin (art) for storing away money. I voted for printed and cloud storage, i combine these two, but both of them are encrypted so even if someone would access there it should be decrypted first.
Cloud storage is a bad idea. Hot wallet although it is encrypted, I rar it with strong password so no one can see transaction history and upload it to my second computer and to my email + cloud storage.
I wouldn't think that someone who wants to hack your wallet would be interested in your TX history, but that does make sense (I didn't think of this before).

This stamp could go on the front cover, on the back or inside. Is there a general preference?
I also agree with the others that it should be inside of the book.

Well it has been 2 weeks since the OP started this thread and we are still here, alive and kicking. The Core team are a bit cautious, but I guess it is the best approach to this
Exactly. One can never be too careful when making such decisions. I've been always telling others that, especially when it comes to scaling, Bitcoin has to be prepared for the worst-case scenarios (e.g. Classic has introduced limitations due to the worst case scenario that could otherwise cause chaos). The Core team know what they doing and they taking small steps toward a bigger goal. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) About 22 hours ago 0.12.1rc2 has been tagged, that is: BIP9, BIP68, BIP112 and BIP113. Even though some of them got distracted by the debate, the development seems to be going well.

The topic is Is Bitcointalk passing information to investigation authorities? I can promise you the authorities referred to in the title of the OP are indeed various three letter agencies which certainly do relate to the OP and the jurisdiction is releavant.
That is still no reason to discuss the jurisdictions, i.e. the agencies themselves. I don't see why that even matters in this case, but fine. If you want to continue and let people post useless things, then go ahead. This will be my final reply here. Why the anxiousness to close off the topic?
I'm not a fan of redundant posts. Doesn't have much choice if served with a subpoena. Unless he wants to sit in jail and I don't think he likes anyone here that much!
Doing so because of random people would not make much sense, would it now?
Update: I do not want to continue posting as the questions by OP were answered. It has nothing to do with you disagreeing with me.

It's been 2 weeks, will you allow me a couple more?
Yes. If you would rather rush a solution than properly test it for invalid reasons (greed?), then you've come to the wrong place. Changes like these have to go through extensive testing. And why plan to build up fees now, only to collapse fees with the "extra" capacity of segwit in a few months.
The added capacity of Segwit is a bonus, the main idea behind it is solving transaction malleability. Blocks are nearly full now, but not really full. Big difference.
A lot of those transactions are spam, you will get a different percentage depending on who you ask and what criteria they've used. On Bitcoin's present trajectory blocks will be really full before segwit. (as that's months away, if ever) Or bitcoin adoption is kind of failing/slowing/deterred anyway?
Bitcoin is not experiencing any issues at the time, nor should the users be. If you are experiencing issues with transactions (e.g. delays) then it is usually your own fault.

even if someone comes forward in the future with a legit signed message, some people can argue that satoshi's PC might be hacked. at this point not even the real satoshi will be able to prove that they are indeed satoshi without a single doubt. however they can get more credibility by continuing satoshi's own work (developing bitcoin).
People would be too paranoid when it comes to that case. Basically, the only evidence that we have as to who satoshi might be is a PGP key, Bitcoin Addresses and an email account or two (these are irrelevant as can be hacked/already are). If someone comes around and signs with either the PGP key or some of the addresses, then they most likely are satoshi. satoshi is not messiah to come back and reveal himself to the work at the times of peril lol
True. He would be at risk if he revealed himself.

More exchanges will open in the future and more will get hacked , so if you don't want to lose your coins and cry , you better store them well instead of keeping them in exchanges .
I thought that people learned from their mistakes with Mt. Gox, but apparently that was not the case. Im never use shapeshift.io but i think this is verybad news ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I wouldn't classify it as 'very bad', rather just negative. So its time we move to Mobile wallets which are more safer then Desktop wallets i guess.
1) Mobile wallets are not safer than desktop wallets. 2) ShapeShift is not a wallet.

Ah, finally there will be no more MMM spambots. This is a good day for Bitcoin. oh now the drop in BTC price is making sense, MMM guy is cashing out his winnings
Nonsense. The price is barely moving. I thought that bitcoin MMM has gone long time ago ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) No, their spambots were still active just in different sections (so it was alive at the time). If somebody promises to give me 100% per month, come on, I have to be realistic.
Apparently, there are still people who as naive enough and believe in these schemes. If that wasn't the case, our current ponzi section would be empty.

Whats the diferent between count posts and activity?
The number of posts represents the actual number of times that you've replied somewhere. Activity is what the ranks are based on While you can create a theoretically unlimited amount of posts, you can only get 14 activity points in 2 weeks (i.e. 14+ posts). Basically you need X amount of activity for Y rank.

Most of the people think that when someone sign a message from the PGP key (mentioned that belongs to satoshi) does not prove the identity, it only proves that the person (it could be also a hacker) who signs this message has only access to the private key but does not prove the identity. P.S OP I don't think that satoshi is going to reveal himself this weekend.
Nobody signed anything from Satoshis PGP key. The keys used by Craig were backdated. The usual stuff... If you are Satoshi, sign a message or GTFO ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Exactly. No need to turn to the media or anyone until one does so.

Since my amount equals to ~14.6 Euro, take it as the payment for the other VAT that I didn't pay yet.

Why? What's wrong with discussing this?
This thread isn't about three letter agencies and their jurisdictions (what they do and what they don't). This will cause unnecessary spam in addition to being off-topic.

would love to see some photos of the pages inside, and hear some quality reviews, since paperback books can come in a wide range between 'pages are falling out and poorly printed' to 'this will last decades of use and the inside printing is perfect'
You would have to wait for people to receive their books first. I'm certain that everyone is impatient at this point (as it has been quite the wait). I can't wait for it to arrive either!

Hello. I'm looking for someone who knows their way around Blender. The request is pretty simple, I show you an image and you re-create it in Blender (and send me the file of course). It doesn't have to be something super accurate, just 'decent'. PM for more information.

What is the point of this thread? What does anyone have from the information of how much Bitcoins a random person on the internet has earned (in a specific time span)? What are your stats ?
Between 1 and 1 million.
