I am not a prodigy member like nullius but I expect to reach 100 merit before the required activity to full member. Doable with few hours of research per week before posting.
12703  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin Forks -How to Claim the most valueable ones with Coinomi(trusted wallet) on: March 30, 2018, 10:14:07 AM
You DONT need to send your BTC out to a different wallet. All you need is a new address inside your existing wallet. That address has a different privatekey, and that is enough for forks that dont employ replay protection (all the ones we support do).

be careful with your funds.

If you recover through this method using the Recovery Phrase (or seed phrase, whatever you call it) you expose all the private keys in that wallet.

If you use only the private address of each public address, you are right. This is not the case.
12704  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: [TUTORIAL] Como criptografar o backup da sua carteira com BIP39 on: March 30, 2018, 01:07:14 AM
Muito bom artigo
Isso aí. Aumentabdo a segurança.

How to set up and/ or recover a hidden passphrase and alternate PIN on your Ledger Nano S?
12705  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: It is NOT secure to use hardware wallets (and it never was) on: March 29, 2018, 11:50:44 AM
I think users have far more trust in the integrity and security of the software than the coders themselves.
12706  Local / Brasil / Re: Receita federal on: March 29, 2018, 12:23:18 AM

12707  Local / Brasil / Re: Receita federal on: March 28, 2018, 09:36:57 PM

12708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's talk volume. on: March 28, 2018, 09:34:27 PM
It's a interesting study. But I think the you need to analyze at least a year of data.

We are still with a very high volume.in October we had only 2 bi usd volume according to coinmarketcap
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

Brazil stockmarket is 3bi usd volume per day, which is significantly lower than btc volume.

12709  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi would not like the current state of this forum on: March 28, 2018, 08:26:03 PM
Bitcointalk has started to add more rules , more censorship, and bullying from high ranks.  This forum is against everything satoshi believed in now.  Satoshi would be rolling in his grave at all the abuse of power going on here. I call it like I see it.

Everyone here should be treated fairly

Why a shitposter posting like a beggar to get money from bounties, be treated like someone really interested in the technology, who is contributing to discussions, helping others?
Makes no sense. If there were only spammers and shitposters here, nobody would use the forum and there would be no bounties for them lol
12710  Other / Off-topic / Re: signature campaign rewards going down day by day on: March 28, 2018, 08:21:42 PM
People who have high merit are being very well paid in signature campaigns, like those hosted by Yahoo, or chipmixer, and many others. Most of those good ones are paid in btc or in a fixed usd value (paid in the altcoin).

People who do relevant posts are being well paid... Unfortunately there are too many people on the forum, and it's pretty hard to get a spot in a good signature campaign.
12711  Local / Brasil / Re: Receita federal on: March 28, 2018, 08:09:27 PM

2017: 2 BTC - valor pago 1500 reais

2018: 1 BTC - valor pago ? reais
2018: 5 LTC - valor pago ? reais

Quero pesquisar a respeito.

BAT (basic attention token) faz algo similar.
Vc ganha Bat enquanto navega.

  • Browser recomendados:
Firefox / Brave browser / Tor Browser

12714  Other / Beginners & Help / Let's talk about Privacy on: March 28, 2018, 11:05:46 AM
I discovered bitcoin while studying about how to protect my privacy on the internet.

Crytpocurrencies and privacy and closely related. This way many people here care about privacy, however I still see many users in this forum who are not using basic privacy tools, like an ad block.

This simple guide is for those people.

Usually people who think they don't care about privacy say: "I don't worry about  privacy because I have nothing to hide."
When you go to the bathroom you close the door, even if you have nothing to hide.

While surfing on the internet here are a few tools that will help you protect yourself against tracking and privacy invasion.

    • Avoid any Google product. They are not to be trusted as Google will track your data to ad services.

    • Browser recommendation:
Firefox / Brave browser / Tor Browser

    • Browser Extensions: (works even on Firefox Mobile)
UBlock (an adblocker) - An AdBlock is also an important method to avoid phishing sites.
      Decentraleyes (blocks content delivery)
      HTTPS Everywhere

    • E-mail provider:
Consider changing to a encrypted e-mail service, not U.S based
      ProtonMail / Tutanota

    • Search engines:
I know how it's hard to not use Google. The best private alternative is Duckduckgo .
If you find very hard to stop using Google, consider using Encrypted Google  (I really don't know if it is truly encrypted)

    • Encrypt your Android Device - Protect your music, photos, personal data that can only be read with a password.

    • Fix Windows 10 privacy configuration, to avoid Microsoft data collection.

    • Some good VPN (protects your traffic data and enables geo-restricted content):
Proton VPN - Free version available.
      Tunnel Bear Free version available.
Nord VPN - Free version available.
To use full time you will need a paid plan on a good VPN service.

    • Private cryptocurrencies:
Monero (the most popular), PIVX, Dash, Zcash, Particl, among many others.

    • Privacy focused notes manager.
      Standard Notes.
This application allows you to sync notes in web, android app, windows, mac and linux. Very nice. Simple and respect your privacy.

    - Drive alternative
    • ownCloud: Open source, self-hosted cloud platform, available for enterprise
    • Syncthing: Open source, P2P
    • Nextcloud: Open source, self-hosted

    - Calendar alternative

    - Google Docs / Sheets / Slides alternative

    - Domain Registration
      Njalla
They do not want to know who you are. No questions about  who you are. No need for Whois Guard.

Important note: Privacy is a never ending task, as you can always do something more. Start doing what is easier for you. There are also many other useful add-ons, programs, etc. This is just a very basic guide, as I see many people who don't even use an adblocker

If you want more information about privacy, go to https://www.privacytools.io/

Edit: Added Https everywhere extension and encrypt mobile device.
Edit2: Added VPNs and private cryptocurrencies.

Edit3: An AdBlock is also an important method to avoid phishing sites. So you really should be using one, as it will increase your security.
Many phishing sites promote their scams through paid ads. If you can't see them, you can't click them.
Edit4: Added  Standard Notes, drive, calendar and docs.
12716  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Signing a message with a private key on: March 27, 2018, 02:45:51 AM
Where do you write the message and where do you send it to?

There are many wallets that are able to sign messages, and many that are not.

Segwit addresses can sign messages, but there is no standard to verify, so it's better to use a Legacy address (starting with 1).

The easiest way to sign I think is using Coinomi. Just download Coinomi Wallet, click on the upper right corner and choose sign message

12717  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Google vai proibir anúncios de ICO's e criptomoedas on: March 27, 2018, 02:15:27 AM

    • Ligar tracking protection no browser

    Hello.

    Go to this post
    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0

Post your signature there and your address. Ask for someone to quote it. Someone will quote in few minutes.

If you don't know how to sign a message, just download Coinomi Wallet, click on the upper right corner and choose sign message

Thanks Joe for an honest opinion.  My basic motive to join this contest is to get the feedback only. I never thought of winning any position amidst nullius, Toughit (though he did not posted), Blue  Tyrant and flipflop.

Looks like you got little surprised by bitmover, but I am following him from the start of the round 3 and knew at once , that one more good contestant is in the competition.

    @bitmover
I read your some of your post by using Google Translate and I found one scammer copy-pasting you also.

Congratulations to all the winners and @all : Cheers and Keep the spirits up.

Thank you @r1s2g3. I did my best this last week as I had some good free time.

This post was a very interesting experiment.
I made an English version of this post some weeks ago.
    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3064698

The reception was not very good. People didn't like it, few comments, few views, I received some critics... Maybe I posted in the wrong board? Beginners & help was maybe not the best option.

Anyway, I knew this post was useful, as I really missed something like this when I was recovering my BCH on last August, and was in my first blockchain interactions. So I translated my own post to Portuguese and posted on my local board. The reception was great.

I learned that in local boards this kind of post is more useful. On the local board people were really helped by the guide.

Local board works as a completely different forum (at least in Portuguese local board). People have different interests and a different technical level.

I will try to make more articles translations to contribute with more technical information to my local board. I think it will be useful there. I translated one article about lightning network that people really liked.

Descobri esse site hoje, pesquisando sobre Tether.

Os maiores credores de Tether, ( Tether Rich List):
    Quantidade(USDT)Nome
    335,068,326Binance
    293,361,358Bittrex
    230,960,153Tether Treasury
    226,752,797Huobi
    159,111,273Huobi
    153,761,528Binance
    148,519,471OKEx
    125,427,504Bitfinex
