12701  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I've made 600k in Crypto - When to call it quits on: March 15, 2018, 05:27:12 AM
Hi Guys

I've been in the crypto scene for many years now, first time post here over a dilemma I am facing.

So, I am fortunate enough to make 600k from buying and trading Bitcoin and other crypto assets, and I don't know what to do with the money. Personally I think this is the year I will become a millionaire, as I can only see the marketcap of all coins growing. But friends close to me think I am an idiot for not selling yet, and if it were to collapse to zero, I would never forgive myself. But they don't know the market like I do, and I do believe that it is only the beginning. They say I should sell 95% buy a house, a car and live a nice lifestyle. I am frugal, have always lived within my means and never spent any crypto money as of yet, but I am tempted to start spending some of it now. I am 26 years old, rent an apartment and drive a car worth less than most peoples pushbikes.

My portfolio currently looks like this....

43% Raiblocks
40% Oyster Pearl
5% Enigma
4%Dash
1.5% Bitcoin
and tiny holdings in Waves, Lisk, Stratis, Game.....

I think that both XRB and PRL can double easily this year.

This is not based on greed btw, I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free.

What would you do if you were me? When do we call it a day and give up trading?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Well, you should not ask such questions because noone knows what will happen, so any advice is just an assumption about what will happen in future... Maybe you should've sell everything, because this year is becoming tough for us...

he could still hold his coin too if he wants because if he sells right now, I don't think that he can make a good profit because every altcoin in almost all of the exchanges is dropped 30% or more. but for me, if I can see that the price could go up into the highest price, I will sell 75% from the total amount and save the profit and wait if there are any down for the price. and I don't want to give up trading because I really like to do trading for now and I still want to make more profit in the future.
12702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people think that ETH can Overcome Bitcoin? on: March 14, 2018, 08:47:55 AM
I don't think that ethereum can overcome bitcoin although the possibility is wide open, I think it still too far to compete with bitcoin. ethereum needs more time to replace bitcoin and as long as bitcoin still lead in the cryptocurrency and still be an adjustment for another coin, then ethereum don't have any chance to overcome bitcoin. besides that, people still use bitcoin as a king in the cryptocurrency and bitcoin still give a good chance to people to make more money from the cryptocurrency.
12703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i search good airdrops?? on: March 14, 2018, 07:47:33 AM
hello, please suggest me. how can i find good upcoming airdrops??

You can check it at the announcement thread and bounty thread here in the forum if you have all the time to browse each of them to check. The easiest would be visiting airdropalert.com for the list of upcoming and ongoing airdrops that you can participate.

I am visiting the site you mention and I think the site giving the information about a new airdrop and I think this could be our guide to choosing the airdrop. I think we can join many airdrops in out there so our chance to make money will bigger and we can collect much of coins from the airdrop. besides that, we need to choose only the good airdrop by reading about their projects so we can decide what airdrop that we want to join.
12704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins worth less than $ 1 which will give x 100 on: March 14, 2018, 06:50:02 AM
Deep Onion is now at its lowest (1.9$). Expect the price to rise after the airdrops end and DO gets listed on large exchange. The coin has a great community and the team is very active.

deep onion could also a good option for us to hold the coin and waiting for the high price. I think this coin could reach higher price in the future but I have the ada on my list and I still buy whenever its down. and I think there are many another coin that will increase although we don't know how much the percentage that the coin will reach. but if we see in the market, we need to wait for a long time because for now, every coin is not getting a good sign to increase higher.
12705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Saving for your Children Bitcoin vs Cash? on: March 14, 2018, 05:44:24 AM
Like every parents want to leave something for children for their future.

Which investment is safe?

Bitcoin?
Stocks?
Real Estate?

this is a difficult question for me to answer, because I have not decided something I will leave for my children.
but to be honest, maybe I want to leave the real thing for my kids, like the garden, the land or some other wealth, then I will equip my son with the knowledge of bitcoin, I hope they will work themselves from scratch in bitcoin.

I think it is not too difficult because you can try to invest your money in something from now to prepare your children because your children are the most important things in your life. and maybe if you got something from the cryptocurrency, you can try to save from small part in every week or every month in the separate wallet and you do this for a long time. but you can try the other things like buying something for your another investment besides investing in cryptocurrency so when your children grow up, you have something to give to your children.

I'm doing all 3 at the moment. Stocks and real estate are traditional. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is the wild west, so invest only what you can afford to lose.  Grin Grin Grin

that is good for you because I think you will gain some profit in the future and I see that real estate will increase from time to time but I am not sure with the stocks. and you need to know more about the stocks so you can make a profit with that investment. and yes, cryptocurrencies is something new for us so we need to learn more about cryptocurrency so we can decide how much we need to invest and we don't have to make mistake after we invest our money.
12707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed? or almost? on: March 13, 2018, 08:39:52 AM
last night, my friend tells me that she's been scammed by other people. she tells that she's want to start to mining and she meet one person that offers her to mining with her hardware. and she's been told that she needs to pay some amount $10 per day, actually I've been telling her to not trust that guy but she really wants to start mining and I only could say go ahead but I don't want to know the result because it is a scam and you will loss your money. and what happened later is she really lose her money and say to me, I wish I hear you in last day and I don't have to lose my money. and I talk to her, never mind, just make this as your experience and not to do the same mistake in the future. we know that to mining some coin, we need to have the hardware or at least, we need a pc with vga inside so we can start mining. so from this story, we need to be careful with everything that we want to do.
12708  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: hashflare.io best mining pool setting on: March 13, 2018, 07:34:18 AM
actually, I don't know what is my mining pool setting in the hashflare.io and I only follow what they suggest and so far, it works well for me although I am not too often to check how much my earning in that site, I think it will give a good profit for me. besides that, I choose the reinvest button so I can increase my hashrate in the hashflare because I already reach my ROI with them so for now, I only want to increase my hashrate. maybe later I will check it and see how much hashrate that I get now.
12709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good news for people with Ripple (XRP) on: March 13, 2018, 06:34:29 AM
Do you really think that XRP will make x2-x3 in 1-2 years for long term investment? I do not think so  Sad
i'm trusted XRP will make x2-x3 in 1-2 years

I think it could happen and if we compare the ripple price for the last year, we can see that the price increases 2 times from the last highest price in last year. so I think ripple could increase higher in the next one or two years later. I still wait for ripple to go up again and I think it will reach more than 15k satoshi and maybe it will reach until 22k like what we see in the last year.
12710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: March 13, 2018, 05:28:03 AM
what to do if bitcoin decreases? My opinion, is that you wait for the bitcoin to gain its high value. So that you cant lose your money or profit

still holding the bitcoin while the price decreases is a good option but don't forget that you have another option which is you can buy more bitcoin if you see the price at the low price. but you need to analyze the price and decide that you want to buy more or not or you just want to watch the price drops deeper. make sure you know a good price to buy and decide how much you want to buy bitcoin.
12711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins on: March 12, 2018, 10:34:55 AM
Ethereum, Litecoin and Monero or any coins from the top 10 marketcap has the potential to be the "next" bitcoin.

I think it is not the next bitcoin but it's the next potential coin that will give a good profit for us and I am sure that that three coin will increase higher. and for litecoin and monero, this two coin is not yet reached their highest price so maybe it will happen in this year. so we can prepare for the moment and make sure that we have some amount in our wallet.
12712  Other / Archival / Re: Why to Invest in ICO? on: March 12, 2018, 09:01:21 AM
because if they invest in ICO from the beginning, they can get much of tokens and they can get a bonus from the ICO. they can expect to make a bigger profit because if they sell after the ICO is finishing, they can sell all amount plus they can sell all of their bonus tokens too so the profit will bigger. but unfortunately, there is no guarantee for them to always make a big profit because not all ICO will get a success after the ICO is listed in the market.
12713  Economy / Economics / Re: Smart Passive Income on: March 12, 2018, 06:40:00 AM
Any investments wherein your money works for you is a passive income, which don't need much attention and physical work. Just like investing in stocks or in bitcoin, it works even you are sleeping..
For something to be considered passive income it needs to generate some kind of revenue every once in a while, while the price of bitcoin goes up in the long term you cannot say that is passive income, after all if you bought one bitcoins five years ago you still have one bitcoin right now it's just that now is more valuable than in the past.

we still cannot say passive income if we cannot earn money in every day and we need to determine how much money that we want to receive in every day. maybe after bitcoin reach $20k we can say that with bitcoin, we can have a smart passive income but it still difficult because we know that bitcoin price always changes and we don't know when the price will be up and down and we only could follow what the price show to us.
12714  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is an Asset or Currency? on: March 12, 2018, 05:40:16 AM
I think for me, I make the crypto as my asset and my currency but not in my real life. I use the crypto for the asset for a long-term and I still try to hold much of coins and not sell if the price does not reach the high price. I use the crypto as my currency on the internet so I can sell the crypto to have money and then I can cash out in my bank account. but if my government is accepting the crypto as a new currency then I will use the crypto to pay something in my real life too.
12715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 0.01 BTC, what should I do with them ? on: March 11, 2018, 10:49:03 AM
HODL for 5 years, or cashout, and you have one more chance to increase - buy very cheap coin with future, this will be recently announced coin

I don't think that is a good idea to hold 0.01 btc for 5 years without doing anything because, for the 0.01 btc, he can do a lot of things to increase the amount. he can do trading with cheap coin and hold it for a long time and he can also do short trading if he has a good skills in trading. besides that, he can try to do many ways than doing trading only because to earn bitcoin, we can do anything work related with bitcoin and cryptocurrency and I am sure that he can do a lot more things to earn many coins.
12716  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be a more secured way of handling cash? on: March 11, 2018, 08:48:10 AM
bitcoin itself is secure as long as we can keep the private keys and we don't have to carry cash because, with bitcoin, I am sure that we could still spend the money to buy anything. we can move the bitcoin from the wallet to physical wallet like trezor to give protection from a thief. besides that, we could feel safe when we want to go into other places because we don't have to carry a big money with a big wallet but we only need one wallet which we could use an android phone or physical hardware like trezor to safe our bitcoin.
Risk of losing your money or bitcoin is always there either you are holding bitcoin or cash, because hackers are always there whose duty is only to have the accounts and take bitcoins from them. but through different safety ways we can make our bitcoin more safer. We should keep our key always safe and should not share it to anyone and should also  use double factors authorization.

you are right and I agree with you. we have our way to secure our bitcoin so we can prevent the hacker from stolen our bitcoin. and if we can place in at the safest place, we can be sure to secure it from other people so they cannot steal our bitcoin. we don't have to tell other people how much bitcoin we have because bitcoin is a private for us and only we that will know how much the amount and only we that will use our bitcoin.
12717  Other / Archival / Re: Why to Invest in ICO? on: March 11, 2018, 07:45:17 AM
because invest in ICO get bigger profit, because when we buy at ICO we will get many bonus.

but this is not guaranteed for us to sell at the high price when the tokens are launch at the market and we need to hold for a long time if the price cannot increase after getting the list in the market. but we have the opportunity to make a lot of profit when the price increase in the future. so I think it is better to be careful to choose what the ICO that will survive for a long time so we could still make a profit with them.
12718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Saving for your Children Bitcoin vs Cash? on: March 11, 2018, 06:39:01 AM
i think to me is better to saving bitcoin for your children than to saved cash, because the tendency of increasing is very high to cash, also it will hopes your children to know more about crypto-currency.

we can do it from now and if we cannot use a big amount, then we could still use a small amount to start saving bitcoin for our children. the future of our children is important and we need to prepare from right now and I think we can do this because we want to give the best things for our children. besides that, if our children grow up, we can also teach them to follow our journey to work-related bitcoin so they can also have a new way to make money and they can start to make money like we did.
12719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Saving for your Children Bitcoin vs Cash? on: March 10, 2018, 09:30:45 AM
Like every parents want to leave something for children for their future.

Which investment is safe?

Bitcoin?
Stocks?
Real Estate?

I think I will do investment in bitcoin because I can invest in any amount and I can add more bitcoin in every time I want. but if somehow I can have a big profit, then I will do real estate investment because I see from time to time, this type of investment is increasing too and if I can hold for at least a year, I am sure I can double my money. but I don't want to buy stocks because this is too risky and dangerous for me and it is better to have an investment in bitcoin for me.
12720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is driving BTC increase on: March 10, 2018, 07:51:20 AM
I think it's because many people want to buy bitcoin at the same time and this makes the price move to higher price and finally, we can see a new highest price. but for now, I think although there are many people buy bitcoin, the price still doesn't move to high price and only up and down at that level of the price. maybe if there is any massive buying order in the market, then the price will increase higher so I think right now and until next week, the price will be stable in that range.
