12721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Wallet on: January 26, 2016, 04:14:25 AM
The "geth -- fast" makes the full sync take 30 to 45 min

I would recommend it for a person who's using Linux.  Otherwise it could hard for a non-technical person using the command line.  But it's really not that hard with enough time and patience.
12722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Wallet on: January 26, 2016, 04:07:40 AM
It keep saying Ethereum node needs to sync, please wait...
I've been waiting for almost half an hour then click SKIP PEER SEARCH, nothing happen.
How can I get it to connect to nodes?

Keep waiting until your wallet is synced.  It might take a day or two if you have a slow connection.
12723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 04:05:21 AM
If I had taken profits from ether (I haven't) I'd 've looking at Monero.  Much better anonymity features than darkcoin, no premine and extremely heavy emission curve that's halved and getting smaller each day.

Or buy netflix now that they are about to ramp up producing their own entertainment and offering it in almost every country in the world.

Or maybe oil?

I disagree about this being a good time to buy Netflix. This is part of the reason:

http://seekingalpha.com/article/3825776-netflixs-vpn-blocking-significantly-reduce-international-growth

Aeon is not on Poloniex yet so it does not meet the criteria set by tokeweed. Monero is definitely a coin to watch from a development standpoint right now.

The reason I specifically asked for a coin listed in Poloniex is because it's where mostly ETH profits are and these profits might likely be traded again for another coin in the same exchange.  I could be wrong but it seems like a logical thing to do for a trader.

not enough
but really

1 brand
2 tech
3 utility
4 web resources
5 [your varible] polo

A daily trading volume of .497 BTC is non-existent for my taste.  To each his own, I guess.  Good luck.
12725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 03:32:38 AM
Stay away from POT.

12728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Rumor] One of the bigger Chinese exchanges is set to list Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 03:22:04 AM
Already a rumour; but, no links? Sounds like a total fabrication then. Your group is wise not to take it seriously.

As I said, we are taking it with a grain of salt.  It was hearsay from one Chinese member.  I just thought it might be interesting to find out what the people on these boards would think.  If it was plausible or not...
12729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 03:18:06 AM
from one to the other CPC... lawlz

Profited in BTC though.
12730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Rumor] One of the bigger Chinese exchanges is set to list Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 03:15:22 AM
Your private group started this rumour?

Nope, it was casually talked about, because there was already a rumor.  We didn't start it and we are taking it with a grain of salt.  I started this thread to see how the people here would take it.  And if you think it could be plausible or not.
12731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Rumor] One of the bigger Chinese exchanges is set to list Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 03:09:47 AM
I would like to hear your comments about this.

Might want to post links to where this rumor originates. I'll read those and comment.

I really can't post any links.  It's just hearsay in our group's private chat.

Oh yeah...  forgot about XMR.  That could be buy the dips as well.  A trend is starting on that one.
12733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 03:04:49 AM
Heard something about maidsafe going into beta soon...  Maybe that'll be the next big thing..

I don't know about it being the next big thing, but pumps welcome.  Grin
12734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 03:03:55 AM
Ok, so you profited handsomely from ETH's recent rise.  What altcoin in Poloniex are you gonna trade to next?
how about ARCH ? i buy a lot in 990 satoshi and still holding it untill now ? i dont know much about trading only buy some cheap coins because before i see it reach around 4k satoshi

Volume is too low for my taste.
12735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 02:55:12 AM
POT

---
okay for the higher profile assets
likely BTS, NXT since they are in a downturn and china has a taste for them
LTC will get some up draft too

Stay away from POT.  Very low volume, getting in this would result to a whiny bagholder for sure.

BTS is good to watch, NXT could be a buy on the dips, a trend is already starting.  I also like MAID's increased volume on a steady price.  Watching that one as well.  And I guess XRP?
12736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Rumor] One of the bigger Chinese exchanges is set to list Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 02:38:11 AM
Along with Sharkcoin?

And butthurt coin, yes...
12737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Rumor] One of the bigger Chinese exchanges is set to list Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 02:17:49 AM
By bigger exchanges, I meant Huobi and Okcoin.

I would not be shocked if this happens but will not put much faith in the rumor until we know its source.

Yeah.  I will not even put faith in it entirely until I see ETH actually listed.

Made this thread out of curiosity on what the people on these boards think...  Imagine if Augur was up we could create prediction markets based on these speculations.
12738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Rumor] One of the bigger Chinese exchanges is set to list Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 02:16:28 AM
It could go up some more due to the fact that more people get access in buying ETH.  I wouldn't be surprised to see a dump at the end of the road though.  Then a stage where price stagnates.  After that the cycle restarts again...  Or not.
12739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Rumor] One of the bigger Chinese exchanges is set to list Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 02:06:21 AM

12740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum ETH - will you buy? 2nd place coinmarketcap on: January 26, 2016, 01:59:45 AM
Irrelevant pump and dump coin is irrelevant. Don't buy the dips. Buy once and use pump to dump on braindead noobs who buy shitcoins.
Don't buy again after that; greed hurts, and sometimes kills. Stay away from shitcoins and obvious pyramid schemes like Ethereum. Coin doesn't even have a normally functioning userwallet, LOL.

It seems like some big players may be doing something with ETH.  maybe IBM and I know Microsoft is doing something.  It is frustrating that there are not easy wallet options with ETH but I am sure they are working on that. Can you explain more about how it is a pyramid scheme as I don't know what that means with altcoins.

Could be this rumor.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1341077.0
