12742  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Eclair ⚡️ Lightning Wallet Released - Lightning network transactions on mainnet on: April 05, 2018, 01:59:35 PM

I disagree. With something as complicated as the lightning network, a good wallet is going to make all the difference. If it's hard to use, it will severely limit adoption and people won't use it nearly as much, but with smooth, good looking apps like these there's a much better chance to get it in the hands of many more people.

I agree with you.
The projects that are the most needed now are the infrastructure ones, the boring ones.
Bitcoin adoption needs easy to use Wallets, with beautiful and friendly interface. Bitcoin needs a lot of exchanges, on as many fiat pairs are possible.

This wallet is just the beginning for lightning network.

People need to use lightning network without even knowing that it exists.
12743  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Eclair ⚡️ Lightning Wallet Released - Lightning network transactions on mainnet on: April 05, 2018, 11:20:56 AM
It's sad that it didn't have any impact over the price

Do twitter (tradução livre):

12746  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Eclair ⚡️ Lightning Wallet Released - Lightning network transactions on mainnet on: April 05, 2018, 02:11:29 AM

Eclair wallet is a open source wallet for Lightning Network.

I see so many shitposts here about merit, price, etc, but nobody is talking about this?

People are doing transactions using lightning network with this wallet on the MAINNET. This is HUGE!!!

What do you guys think about this wallet?
12747  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Quiz Merit Reward on: April 04, 2018, 11:33:17 PM
I will give another possibility for answer number 2.

2 - No. Bitcoin energy consumption is more a solution than a problem.

Bitcoin is mainly mined where electricity is cheap. We have cheap electricity where it's plentiful and abundant, not where it's scary.

In other words, excess energy produced is being directed to bitcoin mining. We cannot store energy, and when energy plants are build they produce more energy than required, so they can supply the region for some time.

Also,  as Bitcoin adoption grows it can hasten renewable energy development and adoption. Bitcoin mining can be an environmental subsidy to alternative energy all around the world because it's causing these projects to be amortized over a year instead of five.

It's very easy to criticize bitcoin mining because it's too obvious. More obvious than the energy consumption of Visa, for example, which not everyone is aware of how much energy they consume.

More information about here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2T0OUIW89II (Andreas Antonopoulos.)

That are claims that Christmas lights consumes as much energy as bitcoin mining.

12749  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Joe's Signatureless Challenge: Win $25 + 8 Merits every week! (Round 5) on: April 04, 2018, 04:50:06 PM

Joe I will no longer have enough Merit to send to the participants for Round 5+. I will (most likely) send Round 4 winners their merit once I get a chance to read their posts. Round 5 I do not have the merit to sponsor any merit rewards. I can maintain my cash sponsorship, however, so only my merit sponsorship(s) will be rescinded. Hopefully by Round 6 I will have accumulated enough merit to sponsor merit again.

Hello Joe and bill Gator.
I have some smerits. I can sponsor the merits for round 5 in bill Gator's place if you need.

Keynesians are not capitalists, they don't really get economics.

Vou editar o post. Erro meu.
12753  Other / Meta / Re: Local Merit Sources Problem on: April 03, 2018, 11:41:05 AM
I know all members have problem with rank up (except legendary members) but some members who dont know enough english for describe himself or describe their opinins have bigger problem.

I am Turk and I usually looking Turkish forum cuz I can understand easily , I can share my all opinions in my language. Its good but there is a problem There is not enough merit sources in Turkish forum. I think all local forums have this problem. We need more local merit sources . They will share merits in their local forums.

Its not a selfish request I want it for all local forums.

I will be waiting for your opinions guys Smiley

Turkish is board is the second easier local board to get merit. I agree with you that local boards need more merit sources, but not Turkish and Russian! They have plenty already.

I was taking a look at zentdex's Where the Merit Pours? and found this image:

12754  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources should be increase in no. on: April 03, 2018, 11:32:27 AM
I agree with TMAN. As most of the posts are shitposts, some merit sources can do the job.

But I think in local sessions we still have a problem.

I was taking a look at zentdex's Where the Merit Pours? and found this image

There are clearly local board with lack of sources. My local board for example, Portuguese, has zero merit sources. Turkish, Russian and Indonesian has plenty merit sources, much more than the other boards.

I will try to make some better analysis of my local board merit with the merit.txt data in future.

12759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tether as Debt Security. And Tether Rich List on: April 02, 2018, 01:10:12 PM

I highly recommend you do leave your savings on those exchanges, as they are like double-risk. You have the risk associate with the exchange, and the risk associate with Tether.

I guess, you intend to say you do not leave your savings

Thank you. Fixed!
12760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats better a online of desktop wallet? on: April 02, 2018, 12:38:01 PM
I wan't know wich is safer and user friendly a online of desktop wallet.

I use NEO GUi but also meta mask

Desktop wallets are usually safer, but online wallets are more friendly.

But if you go to obscure websites, don't know anything about privacy, computing, do not use an adblock, do not use antivirus and antimalware, all of these wallets are pretty unsafe.

If you use a desktop wallet and your computer is infected, you will probably lose your coins. I think online wallets may be a bit safer for those users because they have 2FA.

The greater risk of desktop mobile and online wallets are user's bad habits.

I think this post may help you, if you use those wallets. Let's Talk about Privacy
