Are you sure you are using the original website because I don't really get what youare planning to do .
If it's just to trade Paypal to Bitcoin then it's easy . Simply go to the Deposit tab and choose how much $ you want to deposit (note that the fees are little bit high) then once you got them you go to the Withraw tab . It may take up to 48 hours for the first deposit though .
12742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / OpenBazaar to Launch this November, Targets Unhappy Ebay Users on: July 24, 2015, 09:12:48 AM
Youpiii  Cheesy

OB1, a company of OpenBazaar core developers, has announced that the online p2p marketplace and distributed network of buyers and sellers that allows users to sell products directly for bitcoin will be launched this November.

"With the US$1 million investment led by Andreessen Horowitz and Union Square Ventures, the Open Bazaar development team has focused developing the core platform and planning out the project’s roadmap. Additionally, all core developers have left their previous jobs to dedicate themselves to the project full time."

How come that it's "investement" while they won't get their money back ? isn't OpenBazaar totally free and there is no fees ? (only normal BTC transaction fees)

Do we have any happy Ebay users around the forums or you are all unhappy ? Shocked

12743  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitGold - http://www.bitgold.com - I believe this is a Ponzi/HYIP on: July 24, 2015, 07:40:09 AM
I won't say that I didn't expect this to be honest , I provided my informations for the registration only but nothing for Bank or whatever . they really attracted shitload of people with their method of "invite a friend , he gets 25$ of gold , and you get 25$ of gold" (depends on country of course) . and the withrawal is after two months so we will see in couple of months how legit is this Grin

Those who chose the last thing on the poll may want to give some arguments? If you're not willing to sell them then you are for sure going to use them, and that won't happen unless bitcoin becomes mainstream and well known everywhere in the world. That will only happen after xxx years. So, are you willing to wait that much?

I already pay my monthly satellite TV service (Dish) with bitcoin.

When I plan trip, I pay for my hotel (Expedia) with bitcoin.

I purchased a new TV from TigerDirect with bitcoin.

I bought my wife a camera from Overstock with bitcoin.

I subscribed to my local newspaper (Chicago Sun-Times) with bitcoin.

I also occasionally order pizza (Rosati's) with bitcoin.

I'm spending bitcoins for products and services all the time.  Why would I sell them for USD?

Some of the website are limited to me and can't access them . anyway I believe you mate ... but it's not like FIAT (Paypal , Credit card) they are accepted eveywhere on the world . for Bitcoin you have to basically struggle to get paid in BTC , to pay bills ith BTC and a lot of other things and all that depends on the country you are living in .
12745  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be our new world currency? on: July 23, 2015, 09:33:56 PM
Any Bitcoiner around the forums will say exactly the same thing ... we all hope that bitcoin will be . but there is a low chance for that so low . I'd say US Dollar for the next 30 years however that dosen't mean Bitcoin failure...
12746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will sell a significant part of my Bitcoin hodlings at price ... on: July 23, 2015, 09:17:14 PM
Not sure how you got thei dea to put the first four on the poll but well ... I'd sell when they are at the price 2000$ / BTC or above that's for sure . I wasen't an early adopter so don't have that much , so more profit it is the more good it is . I didn' spend any penny to get my current BTCs so ... all full profit Grin
Those who choosed the last thing on the poll may wanna give some arguments ? 12751  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Exchange on: July 23, 2015, 04:46:14 PM
Hi

Planning to build a exchange using Bitcoin so wondering if anyone has any lessons learnt or useful hints before I start deploying?

Meetreks

You need to have some knowledge in programming , you will most likely need NodeJS , PHP & JavaScript that's for sure .
If you have no knowledge on programming language , then i DON't advice you to start an exchange website unless it's something simple and decentralised . because there is no way in hell you could run without knowing how to develop , and no buying a script won't help you because most of them have backdoors or bugs or something and you will need to fix when you have issues .
12752  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcart saves you 25% off Amazon on: July 23, 2015, 04:25:31 PM
Didn't tried it personally but it's seems just like another copy of Purse.io which gives you the same rates . (fix title it says 20% on their website) .
Their only announcement seems dead: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=933801.0 only one post there . I wouldn't use it for big amounts if I were you , take caution

Thanks for the advice. I've used Purse for a long time and still do. With Purse I can get the same discounts but it can take a number of days before the gift card or items will be delivered. Bitcart is fast and I know I can go there and make an order and it will be fulfilled same day. Perhaps this is the only advantage bitcart has over purse?

Yes we may take it as an advance however I personally prefer to use something known and pretty sure that I will get my item sooner or later then using a brand new website where I could get scammed .

12754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitphone Becomes First Bitcoin Phone Company, Skype Competitor on: July 23, 2015, 03:39:39 PM
Bitphone, from Solid Cloud, is designed to take the best parts out of all of the above and fuse them into one web-based application, currently in beta. It’s a Web RTC based phone that can call SIP addresses, PSTN Phones and provide Peer-to-Peer communications. It works as an anonymous payphone. You don’t even need to register for its use. You can just go to the website from your phone, Internet Cafe, or local library, deposit some bitcoin, and simply place a call anywhere in the world. Bitcoin and its superior ability to utilize cost-efficient micro-payments takes care of the rest.

“Skype is great for Peer-to-Peer communications and talking with your friends and family,” Gavin Stevens, founder of Solid Cloud LLC and Bitphone told CoinTelegraph. “Skype does need to be installed however which can't be done on many corporate or public computers. When calling phones, Skype's rates are quite high and the US$10 Skype credit minimum which you'll never get back is frustrating.”

He added : "“Bitphone is ideal due to its portable nature ‘No install required’ We also offer cheaper rates than Skype for registered users.  Plus you only deposit what you need and can get your change back when you're done.”"

More info on the article : http://cointelegraph.com/news/114940/bitphone-becomes-first-bitcoin-phone-company-skype-competitor

Also searched little bit on Bitcointalk and found this : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=915588.0 , most likely the same person who spoke with CoinTelegraph since the email contains same name as on the article .

What do you guys think about this idea , how successfull it can be ? Grin Are you personally planning to use it ? #Bitcoin_To_da_moon

"if it sounds too good to be true..." Smiley

I know the basic rule "If it sounds too good to be true then it is too good to be true => scam" .
But when you see famous and big well known website like CoinTelegraph promoting for those website you have to ask your self . Please if anyone tried it let us know
12756  Economy / Services / Re: What services could I offer ? (14 hours a day) on: July 23, 2015, 02:37:20 PM
If you live in the US or europe you can try https://www.leet.gg/
Basically you will get 100 satoshi for every kill in CSGO
All you had to do is connect your steam account to their website and play on their website
Never tried this before because I live in Asia and they don't have any Asia based server  Sad
You could at least get some bitcoin from your free time  Wink

And maybe offer your programming skills on here, see if someone is interested  Wink

Already found for HYPER (alternative coin) for CS:GO and it can be traded for Bitcoins so I'am going try that and see how it works .
for what comes to Leet.gg , do you have to deposit Satoshi's ? or you don't have to deposit anything at all . I mean when you kill you take satoshi , when you get killed they take satoshi's from you ? how it works exactly . because it would be like Gambling and I do not do gambling

From reading the website i concluded that there are 2 servers
The first one is free server when you don't have to pay anything and the other one you will need deposit to be able to play.
Hope this help cause' i never play on there for the lack of asia server  Wink
Can you tell me about the hyper for csgo? i never heard of it
Thanks  Smiley

Check this post specially : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=624651.msg11943992#msg11943992
If you have further question about it , ask on that topic .HYPER  website is down for the moment so they will be back in few days more powerful then ever Grin I play a lot of CS:GO so I made so far 600,000 Game tokens by playing a lot of rounds . which is equal to 30 HYPER AFAIK . since 20k game tokens = 1 HYPER

i am learning programming as a hobby and have started with c# do you think it is a good start
and also what is ASP.NET ?

Yes , C# is one of the most effective and also easy to understand and use programming language out there .(not like C / C++ which are pretty hard) .
for what comes to ASP.NET it's a programming language too basically like C# & VB.NET but it's for Web like PHP Smiley
