12761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late for Bitcoin? on: December 17, 2017, 05:30:42 PM
Price may increase continuously but getting in to bitcoin isn't too late at all. Putting up your own buying point will depend on how much you have on that day. But don't think that it will be the end of investing time in bitcoin. Too many questions that are starting to get out on this forum that has the same topics. And what you need to remember is that while bitcoin is existing it is not the end or late for investing.
12762  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Buying Bitcoin at $100K? on: December 17, 2017, 05:14:47 PM
I'll still buy at $100,000 but not with whole bitcoin but maybe a $1,000 worth of bitcoin at that price. We can't predict the future and we don't know on how much do we have by that time but in every price increase of bitcoin I'm going to keep on buying to add the amount of bitcoins that I hold. That's going to be an additional investment to me so the amount does matter and each satoshi at that time will be worth it and important.
12763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best coin? on: December 17, 2017, 05:06:50 PM
The best coin is of cource bitcoin)) Just because it has the highest community support. And this fact makes it price so high. Plus the BTC features introduction Wink
Will agree on this as there's no condition on OP's question about the best coin then I'll certainly go for bitcoin. It has the highest among them all and there's no doubt when it comes to the community of it. But you also have other preference on what's the best coin, a community of XMR will say it's the best coin and a community of ETH will say that it is the best coin.
12764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees so high? on: December 17, 2017, 01:03:24 PM
why has the bitcoin fee for each transaction recently been so high?
It was easier to send 10-15 usd before but these days the fees are more than that.
Any wallet which takes less fee?Im fine with delayed confirmation.
Demand of bitcoin is increasing and people who transact on it everyday is increasing too so that affects the fee when we are sending to other address. The wallet that I use now is blockchain.info and it's recommended fee is changing from time to time so I tried to transact today and fee isn't that much.

IMHO you can send 100 satoshi per byte and try to push the transaction with free accelerator like viabtc.
If you did not mean to pay a very small fee for your transaction viabtc will not accept and also it's hard to get accelerated there it's always try again later.
12765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Total marketcap on coinmarketcap.com is now $600.087.787.881 on: December 17, 2017, 12:49:22 PM
Maybe in 2018 total crypto market cap will reach 1 trillion. Well there's no doubt on this increase of market cap as crypto's are getting popular and there are a lot of people that makes it as their main investment. What's happening today is people are thinking about their fortune in crypto and instead of putting it on a bank that gives small interest it will be a better choice to invest in cryptocurrencies.
12766  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30,000 for the brilliant end of 2017? on: December 17, 2017, 12:24:14 PM
Hello ppl, what do you think, we will pass the threshold of 30,000?

End of 2017? I didn't expect that the price will be fast on $19,000 and I'm thinking that this year bitcoin will end at $25,000. Many will say that it's not possible but why not give it a try, it's just a speculation and there's nothing wrong for speculating this amount. Since everyone's speculation before which is just an impossible one starting to be in reality.  It will be a good one if bitcoin hit $30,000 at the end of this year.
12767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would a BTC crash destroy alt coins? on: December 17, 2017, 10:57:57 AM
Hello everyone, I'm sorry if this sounds stupid. I am a learner in the crypto scene.  Embarrassed

I know BTC probably isn't going to crash anytime soon, and in this case, if a huge BTC crash happens, eventually most altcoins would suffer alot.

But, in this cenario of crash, would most of the alts be done? I mean, what are the odds of altcoins surviving this crash? Would they then get negotiated with fiat?

I was just wondering this and wanted to discuss this (distant?) possibility...
Huge btc crash? I doubt it will happen but okay let's stick with your IF. If bitcoin will be on a big crash then that's going to make altcoins into a great opportunity of having some time to pump. When bitcoin is crashing / correcting, altcoins are starting to pump, vice versa. You are starting to think a lot of things that will just make you think for inappropriate things. Crypto's can't negotiate with fiat, it's incompatible.
12768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why is verge having a pump on: December 16, 2017, 10:03:05 PM
It's because of this I guess

https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/941003398215761922?lang=en

So that's the possible reason why verge is having a pump after he gave statement on what privacy coins stands for.
12769  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BE BITCOIN PRICE 25-30 K END OF THE 2018? on: December 16, 2017, 09:46:07 PM
WILL BE BITCOIN PRICE 25-30 K END OF THE 2018?

I think it is possible. What do you think?

$25,000 has a chance to be reached at the end of this year if this quick increase will continue. I have no oppose with someone that will speculate with this price since it quickly pumped to $19,000 tonight. And I can remember that there are speculations for 2018 that bitcoin will reach $40,000 - $100,000 so what we have to do now is to remain calm and don't get excited too much. Still keep on watching the movement this is why long term HODLERS will always benefit.
12770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help to buy a new graphic card :D on: December 16, 2017, 09:31:35 PM
Beggar are getting smarter they want money via cryptocurrencies. It reminds me of Beggar in China that accepts mobile payments using QR code.
I never heard or read that guy.

@OP if you want to buy a new graphic card, start to fix yourself. Get a job and start to save money for it. I'm not trying to be harsh to you but this isn't the place to beg for money or if you are not employed try to sell something that you are not using anymore and save it for that GPU. I'm trying to help you that you shouldn't depend on other people's help when it comes to these things.
12771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: December 16, 2017, 09:24:18 PM
ETH is good but bitcoin is the best. I know that we are having some differences regarding it's miners fee and the waiting time for confirmation. But I still trust and believe in bitcoin, look even though with these occurring problems the price of it is pumping. Others are saying ETH is the sleeping giant but still bitcoin will remain the biggest of them all. But again enough with these comparisons it should be bitcoin and eth not vs.
12772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Investment on: December 16, 2017, 09:10:12 PM
Hey all,

Been investing in crypto for the last few months as well as trying to learn more about it. Initially downloaded Coinbase and deposited $1000 (50% - ETH, 35% BTC and 15% LTC). Since the initial investment I've been topping up each crypto depending on the market conditions (usually between $25 to $150).

Just wanted a little advice on whether it's better to carry on with this strategy and concentrating on these 3 cryptos for long term profit (1-5 years) or would it be advisable to increase the number of alts I have in my portfolio. Was looking at DASH, Ripple, Cardano, Monero, Stellar, NEO, Siacoin and OmiseGO.

Any advise is welcome  Smiley

What I noticed is you put even more with ETH rather than bitcoin but if I were you, I'll put more capital with bitcoin and if possible more than ETH. If you'll just buy and hold with the three coins that you prefer to hold for 5 years then just stick to it while those other coins that you are getting interest of are good coins too, you can do the same strategy with what you are doing with the three ones. Diversifying your investment is a good one and you seem to have a good potential portfolio. I can't say a thing anymore, I think you know what you are doing.
12773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is a million dollars possible? on: December 16, 2017, 09:01:08 PM
If one were to buy and hold solid  avaerge coins (not a coin that kicks out and gets 10000% gain), but rather a nice steady gain like eth, Ltc etc (top 20) and starts with 10k, is it possible to reach a million without trading and buying/selling at highs and lows? If so, how long would you predict it would take? Or are most coins not going to last long term,
You don't have to be a day trader to gain a lot and you actually get the idea that buying and holding is better than day trading. There's a big chance that you'll become a millionaire by always buying at the dip of each coin that you prefer and just hold it for a year or two and get back to it when you are ready to take profits. Those coins that are not going to last for longer term are the less developed.

so every 6 months would I have to rebalance with newer coins?
You can even do this every month/week/day depends on how wide your pocket is.
12774  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin the next big thing? on: December 16, 2017, 08:49:02 PM
Why then should people invest in or buy a currency that can rise or fall by 20 percent in an hour or two?
The answer for question is already there, that's why everyone is investing to something that is rising for 20% to take profits and just wait for it's time to fall for 20% or even lower to buy back. Bitcoin's volatility is the main reason why everyone is riding the train of bitcoin now. We do want to earn effortlessly by just buying it and wait for it's value to grow that's how it goes. It may not change or replace currency but it will change the perspective of modern investors.
12775  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: December 16, 2017, 08:35:13 PM
The bitcoin community is increasing rapidly not only out there, in the areas where I live so much who wants to enter the bitcoin community itself.
hopefully this is a good sign, both for the community and for bitcoin
It's literally a good sign and it's health for the whole bitcoin community and it will add value to bitcoin. And so if you want to keep on holding just hold it because those people that are desiring to enter bitcoin market will add to the marketcap once they start to invest with it. The thing here is there are too many people in this world and there are potential investors that are still not getting to bitcoin so if ever they started getting in for sure this will affect the price in a positive way.
12776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Alt coin should I buy next? on: December 16, 2017, 08:22:21 PM
I want to buy some new currency. But not sure which ones. It'd be helpful if you throw in your ideas with brief reasoning.
I've read a reddit post that is shared on another social media platform about someone invested on the top 10 altcoins of coinmarketcap. He did invested $100 for each of it so that makes $1,000 in total, he started on 1/1/2017 and up to now the worth of his investment is already $42k. That's totally high so that will be a tip to you and maybe you'll get inspired by that type of strategy for choosing the alt coins that you want to invest and trade. As an addition, he did held it for a year.
12777  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: December 16, 2017, 06:23:46 AM
in my country i is hard to find place accept bitcoin only pay cash for who interested in bitcoin.

In what country are you living? There are merchants and exchanges where you can use to encash your bitcoin but using bitcoin to purchase goods in supermarket in real time isn't possible for now. But there will be some upgrades in the future and this is going to be one of the best place to shop, supermarket that accepts bitcoin will exist soon.
12778  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Internet Marketing on: December 16, 2017, 05:29:15 AM
To be honest with you I don't know about internet marketing because am still new here and I believe learning makes perfect. Please can someone explain to me what internet marketing is all about?
Even you are new here, this isn't just the time that it was invented. It is existing since before and many are using it as a medium of advertising what they offer. Internet marketing is putting your products on the web and you are attracting people through it just like the usual way of advertising through televisions and radios. To know more about it try to read this https://www.quicksprout.com/the-beginners-guide-to-online-marketing/
12779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news from USA and Japan. on: December 16, 2017, 04:24:52 AM
That's good to know, I'm even interested more with the progress of bitcoin in Japan. Giving a part of people's salary in bitcoin seems to be a good idea. They really want to push through bitcoin transactions and this is just the start of it. But just like what others are saying here that we shouldn't expect too much or else we will be broke after not reaching our expectation. We had to wait it's result and on how it will be affecting the price.
12780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With how much should i start on: December 16, 2017, 04:05:40 AM
How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.
If you can invest $500 that will be enough for you to buy and start a simple portfolio but if you can't it $100 or less than up to $20 can be a good option for you. What you need to do is to know what will be the best coin in your opinion, there are too many choice that you can. As you start, capital is not really a big matter what it matters is when you started to gain idea and you are looking forward for better gains.
