1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador on: February 25, 2021, 10:12:46 PM
Basically a very wise move in Stake's part. Knowing that he is a very famous guy on the internet, with his fighting prowess and the added fact that he is self-confessed weeaboo, someone who watches anime and emulates the characters' behaviors in it because they think it's cool. For instance, his title "The Last Stylebender" is a reference to the Cartoon Network show "The Last Airbender". So he's sure to rake in people.

I believe a lot of people here saying the guy who owns that site is pointbiz which is the creator of bitadress as well. If that's the case he probably either forgot about the private key or something else must be happening in the background that led him to not cash out the remaining 36 bitcoins in that wallet. Whatever that is, only he knows.
1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone bought BTC at $6K yesterday and the exchange wants them back on: February 23, 2021, 10:42:02 PM
I believe there is more to this than what both the person who bought and PDAX is telling on the surface. Mostly of cpurse on PDAX's end, because there's no way you're going to hack an exchange of that degree, moreso one that is based in your own country unless you have balls of steel, or you really want to experience the other side of a jail. In my opinion the guy has all the rights in his bitcoin and PDAX does not have any valid reason to incarcerate him since it was their fault anyway.
1285  Economy / Economics / Re: Could Bitcoin Smash Socialism in Venezuela? on: February 23, 2021, 10:28:15 PM
Depends if bitcoin really blew up in Venezuela. I heard news about the people there starting to use it, but I'm not specifically certain if it's in a very large scale type of usage, so nothing can be expected of it for now.

Still, it shows great promise and provided that more people are to learn more about bitcoin, there will become a huge possibility of cryptocurrency beating socialism in that country.
I have no doubts bitcoin can help common citizens with their daily needs in Venezuela, but I totally disagree it can smash socialism there. In fact, crypto currencies are making the socialism maintenance in Venezuela, because a big part of the citizens' income is going to pay taxes that fund the government and all its employees, the *system*.
You know there are fast foods and probably other stores there accepting crypto as payment method without any interference from the government, what means it is not a threat to Maduro. Actually socialists have nothing to complain about bitcoin or crypto, because that is the way people are bringing money from outside to their country.
Quite possible, especially when the upper echelons in the government aren't using their very own currencies as well, so there's not much more that bitcoin can do.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is the right time to gamble on football. on: February 23, 2021, 10:22:03 PM
The right time for me is when the team you are rooting for is in the game. It doesn't matter if they're better or not against the other team, as long as they are in the game. That way you can easily assess the winner beforehand without much trouble, since it's not possible for you to not know a thing or two about your team.
1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin before and now on: February 22, 2021, 10:18:59 PM
Bitcoin's rise is a gamechanger not only for itself but for the rest of the cryptocurrency world as well. Knowing this, we can guarantee that there's nowhere else for bitcoin to go but upwards and we may hit some obstacle every now and then, but best believe that bitcoin will always get past it and achieve greatness.
1288  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 22, 2021, 10:15:22 PM
A while ago I thought the correction was already applied since bitcoin dropped a couple thousands of dollars, but it seems tho have recovered and plateaued for a while now so I can't say much for sure at this point. That being said it's really hard to predict when the correction will commence knowing that there is very strong resistance at the moment. Soon as that is taken care of we can expect bitcoin to dump.
1289  Economy / Economics / Re: Global debt soars to 356% of GDP on: February 22, 2021, 09:34:54 PM
It's bound to happen, COVID and literally hundreds to thousands of companies closing due to lack of workforce and the fact that lack of funding. Now provided that small companies recover after this surely the economy is bound to bounce back. So the best move for each country is to ensure that the number of new cases is minimized and prevented as well as to ensure that internal economy is at least kept in check.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: February 22, 2021, 08:50:58 PM
Works really well for Crawford considering its the Pacquiao that is already requesting for the fight. We can obviously tell he saw something about Crawford and he would like to test him in the ring. Even offering a hefty pay for Crawford that could easily set him for life. So it better be a good reason if in any case Crawford declines this offer.
1291  Economy / Economics / Re: Great reset is done on: February 21, 2021, 08:10:07 PM
I can't say it's gome completely just like how you're putting it but it certainly has massively subsided compared to last year. We can't really accurately tell what's going to happen in the future but it's showing a better trend. That being said, we're as hopeful as you OP are that this will be the last few times we've had to fear for COVID and diseases, and on to a better year and decade we go.
1292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now worth more than a kilo of pure gold! on: February 21, 2021, 07:16:21 PM
Of course besides that we all know bitcoin is reigning supreme over gold over the fact that cryptocurrency is almost like an untapped resource here. Unlike gold which is nonrenewable and is damaging the environment as well. Add it to the fact that a millions are greatly in fsvor of bitcoin nowadays compared to fiat and gold, and we have bitcoin being more valuable than a kilogram of gold.
I think Bitcoin is more valuable than gold. What is gold? It's just an asset you can use to secure your funds, sometimes it's a nice jewelry material but nothing more. The gold is less susceptible to inflation than fiat money. But Bitcoin is the next level. It's a cryptocurrency and it's independent.
Bitcoin is badically gold, without the downsides of owning gold. Which is why it greatly appeals to the peopls despite constant volatility and controversy surrounding it.
1293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk: "Bitcoin is almost as bs as fiat money" on: February 21, 2021, 07:05:02 PM
As expected of him. He was probably just trolling people around, just like when he shilled DOGE a few weeks ago. Or he might be plotting something under the curtains, and this is one of the few steps he must take to realize his plans. Whatever that is, it's not going to be good for us small time investors, knowing that he's one of the biggest bagholders in the market right now as we speak.
As if being the richest man on the planet Earth is not a spotlight enough,  this species has suddenly made himself relevant in the crypto hemisphere, now all the naive people we have on crypto will hang onto every bs that comes out of his tweet (mouth),
Anywhere I look now, Mr Elon is there, creating more relevance to his name,  actually I do agree with him on one part 'crypto is full of bs' since we can think of discussing this guys tweet here in forum every gadamn time  Wink
You can't really blame the people rooting for him all this time. He's loved by the internet, he is as relevant as a guy can be. So it comes to no surprise that people will gravitate towards him.
1294  Other / Off-topic / Re: Deontay Wilder: He makes another WILD conspiracy theory about his loss to Fury on: February 21, 2021, 06:31:51 PM
Wilder would have to check his mental health. As much important and powerful his physicality is, he also has to take into account that his mental health is important, and with a sport like that, fhat not only takes toll off of your body but your mind, you're going to need a very tough mindset or at least a backup failsafe plan should you go downhill.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin was the world’s leading currency during COVID, how would.. on: February 20, 2021, 10:46:13 PM
If we say, put the situation in a utopian setting where evryone just had enough bitcoin with them to get by, even those that are on the upper echelons of the society, I can say that bitcoin becoming the leading currency will offer sustainability, among other benefits, since bitcoin has a higher purchasing power, and because everyone is sure tp transact with them. However in a real world setting we all know this isn't the case, so it actually might turn the other way around. With the scarcity of bitcoin, people may fight over it like the toilet paper craze that happened at the start of the pandemic, although of course, there's the possibility of using altcoins.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I believe P=NP. Prove me wrong on: February 20, 2021, 10:38:56 PM
I don't think your theory can be proven correctly or incorrectly at this point considering the lack of evidence jn both sides of the spectrum. However, what I believe to be the biggest threat in the security of people's bitcoins is the existence of a quantum computer that can run under certain algorithms faster than a normal computer would ever be. Since it can crunch an unbelievably long amount of research into 10-15 minutes of running scripts and codes, anyone who possesses it can easily hack into and steal bitcoins from other people.
1297  Economy / Economics / Re: Use of cryptocurrencies, a concern – IMF on: February 20, 2021, 10:33:12 PM
It's made to be a concern because cryptocurrency threatens the structure that the economy we live in is built upon. The same structure mind you that incentivized abuse of the common worker and had left countries in shambles, and people in huge debts. And their ca to action further reinforces the fact that they are scared of cryptocurrency, because once the power is put back to the people, their plans and ploys will fall down.
The central bank in my country also prohibits cryptocurrency transactions as a medium of exchange, but the government allows it as a commodity.  At least with the legalization of Bitcoin, the government has the ability to monitor transactions carried out in my country through its exchangers.  But it is not denied, there are still many who carry out p2p transactions for quite confidential purposes. What is important is that every country that bans Bitcoin and other cryptos is a country that is lazy to make regulations.  And the economists are the less literate.
Or they are just afraid of what crypto can really do, that's why they opted to ban it instead of regulating it. That might actually be the case.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: February 20, 2021, 10:28:45 PM
In my country, illegal gambling, prostitution, child trafficking, drug abuse quite possibly graft and corruption are all played by the same hands within the same syndicate groups. Thailand government should spend more time and money in acquiring intelligence which may lead them to the roots of the problem like what my country did, otherwise you can't expect it to be fixed.
1299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: February 19, 2021, 10:47:54 PM
Interesting, this may spark a shift in the curriculum for the IT program not only on your institution/university but with the overall education system of the said program. Because there's no way bitcoin won't be included in the lessons of all institutions, either soon or in the future. Pillars of education that carry on lesson plans and stuff will catch wind of this and will have this included lest they risk their student being left behind.
1300  Economy / Economics / Re: "Looks as if #Bitcoin is eating #Gold". Good idea to buy some Gold now? on: February 19, 2021, 10:42:07 PM
If you want to diversify your portfolio and try out tangible assets, gold is definitely a valuable asset to add in your folder. Reading Robert Kiyosaki's statements also urges me to invest in silver which at this moment is a sleeper asset, contrary to what most people say or think about it.
It is a good time to buy gold, the price is tend to rise. But I want to wait until gold price reach the lowest level. Storing gold is not as easy as storing bitcoin so my first priority is still bitcoin. I don't want to miss this good market condition. I am not sure that gold investors sell their gold to buy bitcoin because it so unbelievable. Maybe gold investment is too safe for them so they want to get involved in bitcoin investment that the risk is very big.
Gold may not drop in value anytime soon, so I highly suggest you buy now and execute dollar cost averaging instead to ensure you don't get fomoed, otherwise you can bet your bottom dollar you'll be hoping you bought gold today.
