1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going to Bitcoin events on: April 01, 2023, 09:58:43 PM
Going to bitcoin, crypto, blockchain events benefits us in anyway ?
I am something biased at this because of internet sayings, biased in positive side that they are very benefiting and worth my time, share your experiences about going to events is good or bad ,
are you gone to any bitcoin events ? and, in which way it helped you, do you learned new things that is very difficult to learn on internet, do you met amazing people, do going to that events worth your time and money.
It's probably a great idea to visits or join this kind if events, since you could learn a lot about crypto currency and mostly about different platforms or feature that they are going to launch in the community. But I guess find the legitimate one not just someone's event that is mostly schemes on scamming investors.

I would still prefer to learn bitcoin on my own, I didn't really attend any of this events but I still able to learn bitcoin, invest on it and earn a lot of profit in my years of trading. There are still a lot of technical parts of bitcoin technology that you might want to learn like for example you want to launch a project something like a coin, nft, etc.

I guess just the experience of meeting a lot different people is already enough reason to join events if you like to socialize that could easily lead to a lot of connections in the space where you could get interest on different projects.
1284  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How TryNinja's Notifier Bot Can Make your life easier on: April 01, 2023, 06:42:31 AM
Great advice, I'm using this notifier for a long time already but I don't maximize this feature of the BOT. Using the mentions and merits is just the greatest since it could easily notify you of all of the replies here in the forum in all sections, with that you could easily track and reply to the messages in case you don't remember your last topics.

I think I would track the section tracker notifying us on every topic in different sections, Im just using the notify thing on email it works fine but I think it would minimize open tabs on my PC if I just need to open telegram plus notify me even if I'm only on my phone. The tracker for the new post doesn't really need to be specifically for signature managers or campaigns, I mean you want to find a campaign you can find it on the services thread.

The notifier was all great and it help a lot of users here in the forum until now that it sends a 1000merit to everyone it's a troll Grin
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of accepting bitcoin in business on: April 01, 2023, 06:05:22 AM
I have a similar topic before on Small Business that accept bitcoin or cyptocurrency here in PH, worth it ba?. In my opinion, you're going to need a lot of liquid or cash if you are running a business so that you can sustain your business and continue the cash flow in cash there are problems when it comes it finances or some sort of rise in prices like for example pork or chicken.

Quote

Accepting your bitcoin is actually a good thing since it's a good investment for the long term, it's a great promotion on bitcoin and you could multiply your profit by investing in bitcoin using your business, but the problem is that payment cannot be used since your gonna need to sell that bitcoin to convert it to fiat money. IF you doesn't have enough cash to sustain that business your just gonna end up selling your bitcoin to a loss, so if you don't have enough cash to sustain that business you should not accept bitcoin at all because it could easily bankrupt your business if a lot of people start paying bitcoin.

Oh dear  Undecided Undecided the only thing I can say is it was so easy, easy to smash my keyboard  Grin

Well after a few tries I think I did around 40! I want to play it more but its already says OK I wander in there's a special price when maybe you need 100 or something.

Wait what was that? I need to CAPTCHA every time someone posts before me  Cry

I was so excited about this, this one was a great April 1 event compared to others I think this was great mini-games for all of the members but it was also a big headache for me at least, you also need to repeat the game when someone posted while you're still playing the game, that actually makes me smash my keyboard, also I need to play the game every time I'm going to make a post  Sad well, that was a hell of a headache my friend, well there are also some trolls that actually kinda work like the one on the bitcointalk supernotifier.
1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot be a Bank? on: March 31, 2023, 06:48:42 AM
I read this tweet by Michael Saylor and I think it is not practical. I believe this guy was pretty high when he started comparing Bitcoin with Bank. Let's compare most of what he tweeted and then let's discuss the real problem. We all know the positive aspect of Bitcoin and to an extent, I agree with what he tweeted. I still would like to ask in general:

  • Can you pay your Mortgage with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay your house rent with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay all your bills with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay your medical bills with Bitcoin?

Deceiving newbies with such a statement won't get Bitcoin the required recognition. It would only lead to more confusion and uncertainty as Banks have done for so long. Such a statement from a Bitcoin influencer would only tarnish the image of Bitcoin. Mcafee was known for such statements.

I agree at this moment this is a lot of things that bitcoin cannot do compared to fiat money since it is our country's currency a lot of us still do not know bitcoin and recognized it as a payment method so it makes sense that bitcoin is not acceptable in a lot of platforms. That is why I used bitcoin as an investment not something like a payment method or a bank that I can use in all of my transactions since bitcoin cannot really do that unless you convert your bitcoin into fiat. For me, bitcoin is the best for investment only at this point because the market price was volatile so selling it for fiat or using it as payment would probably result in a loss since you are forced to sell your bitcoin and not wait for the right timing for profit. Also with a volatile market price, you need to update its price in real-time when your accepting bitcoin on your business. Unless in the future when bitcoin gets a stable market price it might be suitable to become a currency or something that we can use for payment.
1288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I never use wallet like a bank on: March 31, 2023, 05:41:42 AM
Some people get used wallets like banks (mobile banking) just for tracking or knowing if get received money from someone or payment.

But, I don't like them, because we're in a crypto world where don't need to install a bitcoin wallet like mobile banking on your phone if want just to know if received money or payment a week.

Yes, I did it on explorer, I just put my bitcoin address into explorer and bookmark it on the browser (simple, on chrome android, setting it as a shortcut in hope page phone).

If want more detail and receive notifications like mobile banking, you must register in your email on a specific explorer and subscribe.
So if any transaction is on that address, you will receive a notification in your email.

*Note:

We should know, Handphone is one of the target hackers to watch your activity, your life is being watched because too many applications out there we can't research if that is safe (close source).

especially if you are careless and always installed in what you like.

As I can see on the service board, many applicants as user phones and prefer on his phones to install the bitcoin wallet, it's very dangerous for beginner (ex bounty hunter altcoin who never use bitcoin wallet but expert use metamask, trust wallet, coinomi, or another altcoin wallet),

so be careful, start saving now, buy a laptop and create bitcoin wallet there, don't trust too much on your android because you being wathed by hacker.

change immediately your habits before it's too late.

I mean it would be nice if we can use bitcoin wallets like other bank wallets since it was so convenient to use compared to buying bitcoin and putting it in a secure wallet or hardware wallet. Accessing your bitcoin on your phone easily sending it easily having all of that transaction etc was just convenient enough that is why a lot of us still uses a bank, and we really still need to use bank and fiat, I mean it's still inevitable it's our country currency, and as much as we want we can't really use bitcoin to buy in all of the stores that we wanted especially on local stores or market. I think I would agree that a laptop is better than a smartphone since something like electrum can only be opened on a laptop, also in the long-term investment you surely needed to use a secure wallet that your gonna access on your pc or laptop, and then maybe for quick transactions you can use your smartphone.

1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study Bitcoin on: March 31, 2023, 04:11:13 AM
Wow, I mean that's a huge advertisement for bitcoin for sure  Grin That is so out of line, I wonder how much this kind of project would cost it would probably be good to do it on other places as well.

These guys are completely trolling banks flashing bitcoin on their own buildings, It would help a lot in opening the eyes of a lot of people on bitcoin and not trusting centralized banks, Most people there probably don't know anything about bitcoin and with this, they might get the idea and probably research about it, I mean its time to stop banks schemes a lot of people think that banks are the only way hopefully it would make them think. We need more of these promotions and advertisements to conquer that world in order to stop banks.

We don't know how banks are going to respond to this but hopefully, they don't face any legal case here flashing bitcoin on a bank.

It actually looks good in this photo!

1290  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [NEWS] GCrypto is now available to selected users on: March 31, 2023, 03:03:43 AM

1292  Other / Meta / Re: Spammers and Burst Posters only on: March 30, 2023, 09:57:51 AM
In my opinion, I think 15-20 post was already a lot in a day but I guess it would still be allowed as long as there is a 15-30 minutes gap between those post. Plus all of those posts are constructive and not just some sht posting on the forum. For me, 3-8 posts per day would I think will be the reasonable maximum post that you could do in a day. Considering if you are on a signature campaign posting more than eight I think would be spamming and probably on some campaigns lower than eight would be spamming or will not be counted as a post.

The way I see it is as long as you're doing or posting some kind of useful topic here in the forum the posting count would not really matter, but of course, it is impossible to create a constructive post or topics here if you posting without a huge gap since you also need to do some research on your topic or post unless it was just simple advice, plus it's suspicious that he doesn't get tired posting so he probably just copy and paste it that would be plagiarism and maybe use AI on that post, and probably it was some spammer who wanted to increase their post count or post for signature campaign.
1293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying cheap is best formula on: March 30, 2023, 08:09:46 AM
This period do not encourage trading or investment but at the same time when price is down is good opportunity to buy cheap and when its explode you will gain it. Nothing is lost in bitcoin, those holding for long now are the great benefactors but if you buy this period is more safer.

If I have money now, I would buy half of bitcoin because in next three months it will double the current price. This is real because it always occur this way after 5 years remember in 2011 and 2017 from the market charts and caps. And this year will break more even.

I mean that is what we all believed that bitcoin will surely go to skyrocket in the Bullrun and this is the best time to purchase bitcoin since the market price is still low and there is still a lot of room for profit in the future. But it still that guarantee that bitcoin will reach a certain price in the market or even break its latest All time high, I mean there are always so many factors that could easily affect the market price of bitcoin and for example, a war that might affect the price so there is always a big risk on investing on it.

Also in investing in the bear market your gonna need a lot of funds since it just means that you're investing for the long term and if you don't have enough funds to sustain your self you might just end up selling your bitcoin in an unfair price in the market so I suggest to always invest only a small percentage of your money.

One of the best ways as well is dollar-cost averaging to minimize the risk of your bitcoin investments.

1294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing against 2024 on: March 30, 2023, 04:28:05 AM
As 2023 is going to be a tremendous year, and the elite are working towards the new world order whereby new digital currency will be introduced. If btc happens not to be part of that agenda, so will investing into btc against 2024 a wise decision?

There aren't really any sources that are going to support this new digital currency that will be introduced, so we are not sure if it is true or just a rumor. For me it is obviously worth it to still invest in bitcoin because of the low price in the market even and could easily be a big profit in the Bullrun, I mean even though this new digital currency is introduced it doesn't really matter since it doesn't guarantee that is going to give impact and affect bitcoin price, we know that there are already tons of digital currency or altcoins in the market and tons of digital currency are introduced daily but it doesn't really affect bitcoin.

Remember that there was no coin in history that was able to overwhelm bitcoin considering that there are already thousands of cryptocurrencies or altcoins in the market. So I wouldn't really worried about that when it comes to investing in bitcoin,

1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: March 29, 2023, 04:01:07 PM
Something crazy is going on, I was watching some price predictions of my favorite altcoins on Youtube yesterday and I was a few videos about some women that claimed that God revealed to them that a certain amount of crypto projects will bring huge amount of money to those who invest in them, are you ready for this?

Shiba inu was predicted to reach 50$ per token, this woman said God revealed this price to her, another channel which is also a lady claimed that God said Shiba inu will be the new wealth transfer for people in few years to this time.

I read some comments and I saw how many people belief in this prophecy, has anyone seen something like this before. What do you believe?

Haters will say its fake  Grin

Don't be ridiculous its obviously some kind of crazy gimmick and probably just to hype the Shiba Inu coin in the market for sure for some profit. You wouldn't really gonna believe this kind of Youtube video, I mean someone as a YouTuber or influencer could easily just create this kind of junk video or just lie, In the long run, they probably already buy a lot of Shiba inu in the first place so that they could profit when a lot of people actually believed their crazy video. Obviously, 50$ per token on Shiba Inu is obviously impossible it gonna need a lot of money on the coin in order to reach that price in the market, even reaching 1$ would need a lot of money pour in on the coin to reach that point.

You wouldn't actually buy something without even doing research on your own, even though you actually watch a reasonable YouTuber that actually has a point that says that you should invest in this token you still need to get more green flags plus your own research on that token before actually doing or buying it. I mean its unbelievable how newbies believed this kind of thing.
1297  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is right about Bitcoin? on: March 28, 2023, 05:41:40 PM
I am very confusing when people and media use different words to describe about Bitcoin.

They can use words like
Virtual currency
Digital currency
Cryptocurrency
Electronic cash

I am very confusing with words like "virtual currency" but I don't know what is a best word to use to say about Bitcoin.

In whitepaper, it is "A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash" but it is a long phrase.

https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

You can add virtual gold, digital gold, and BTC to the list. All of it is just the same, and it all works to describe bitcoin, it doesn't really matter a lot what are you going to name bitcoin since its all correct but I would pick the Digital currency or Virtual Currency since it was made as a currency that you could use virtually or online. A way to make a transaction online or on the internet.

I think the cryptocurrency name is a little broad because cryptocurrency could also refer to other alternative cryptocurrency like ETH, XRP,, and BNB, etc. The way I look at it is, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, and all the altcoins as well, so they are all cryptocurrencies. I mean if you compared it to Ethereum that have a different purpose it might become a digital currency as well since you could send it to someone or use it as a payment I suppose but it wasn't its main purpose. I guess people just easily assume its Bitcoin because a lot of people only know about bitcoin and doesn't really know anything about the other cryptocurrencies other there.
1298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is the largest bitcoin miner. on: March 28, 2023, 04:49:33 PM
There is already numerous news that bitcoin mining in China is starting to decline its reputation as a major player when it comes to bitcoin mining. China is a major player in bitcoin mining for many years and probably mines the highest percentage compared to a lot of countries. One of the factors I believed is that they could easily buy much cheaper hardware in China plus they have much cheaper electricity compared to other countries like japan, the UK, Italy, etc.

I mean China has a lot of restrictions on cryptocurrency, especially on bitcoin and we have since in the past years that China tried to ban it, they actually banned it but a lot of people could easily bypass it and you can't really control cryptocurrency, and its internet. But that was probably big news for miners since they can't operate anymore. But when bitcoin mining difficulty continues to increase it is going to affect a lot of mining and could easily affect the market price and bitcoin circulation. I don't know if its a good or bad thing.
