1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything is cyclical and repetitive. Bitcoin is no exception on: March 28, 2023, 10:00:23 AM
Investing or any industry, if you ignore the historical factor, it means you leave out the data about the market. The market principle is always iterative because human psychology is also iterative, so if you take away the lessons that the market has taught you in the past, you cannot predict the future market well 👌

=> If you study a field thoroughly from basic to advanced things like why it appeared, by whom and how, .... Then there will come a time when you will be able to predict the future. its. And that is also the reason why great people have the ability to predict the future like Tesla, Leonardo da Vinci, ... Why don't we apply that in investing in general and investing in virtual currencies in particular?

It's because bitcoin has 4 year cycle, or at there is what we call bitcoin halving happening every 4 years. So that alone is also cyclical, no matter what happens, the block halving is going to occur as it is written by Satoshi.

So that is the only thing that we can predict, so as far as we know, the price will go on a massive bull run but we don't know what will be the highest peak or the all time high. Predicting it is going to be very difficult, we have seen in the past cycles about some modelling that predicted  bitcoin will be $100k or 6 digits in the last bull run but it didn't happen as we the highest we achieved is $69k.

1283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price guess for March on: March 25, 2023, 11:54:22 AM
It has been more than a week that the price has been at the $28k level, hopefully tomorrow or at the end of this month the price will reach $30k soon, if the price can touch $30k then it is certain that it will make many people panic buy because they hope the price will continue to rise, and this is indeed a fact which had often happened before.
There is currently a lot of resistance at $28k and the price seems to be settling in this area at the moment. Either way, I also hope that the current limit will be broken and that we'll get to $30k this month. That would certainly be a positive signal. However, let's not forget that the price has been going up for the past few days and for a long time it looked like the price wouldn't go above $25k. So even if we don't hit $30k this month, we should be happy with the current price of $28k.  Wink

Yes, it's the resistance level, similar to when was $26k was the biggest barrier, we have like 3-4 times to attempt to break that price. But once we got to it, smooth sailing as we go as high as $28k and almost touching $29k.

So that might be the case again at $28k, it's the biggest resistance and it might take as much attempt as $26k.

Nevertheless, there is no resistance that is too big for bitcoin to break. For March, I say $27k will be the right price.
1284  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 25, 2023, 10:37:10 AM
What I see is that the SEC is increasingly persecuting us from all sides and they have no intention of hiding their intentions. They are pinching us and trying to control us, nothing more, nothing less. Regulation is inevitable, but I don't pay much attention to this rubbish news. There are ways to bypass the government if it wants to collect taxes and control us more.

This is not new though, I mean since 2017, since the bubble that we have going to $20k, per pop, they started to show their aggressiveness towards crypto, not bitcoin per se, but stable coins and other altcoins for that matter. True, regulation is imminent, but now we should know that, but it's not a threat to bitcoin. Maybe some other projects that could be a treat to them. They even take a crusade against privacy coins already and not might be looking at those stable coins and others. Tether used to be the target since 2018, but maybe they know it's hard to bring them down.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 25, 2023, 10:21:44 AM

Yeah, with few remaining games every win counts in each team who are aiming to move on to the next round.

Lakers still have that chance either to move into playoff or have a chance into another play-inn and take some chances to move forward.

I would like to see them winning while LeBron is still at rest. The chemistries are very important, as they needed each other's help and not
just to rely on stars like LeBron and Davis.

Right now the Los Angeles Lakers are doing really fine, getting those possible wins but surely because of some injuries their momentum has really been affected by it, like their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 4, this should be a win for the Lakers because Lebron James and D'Angelo Russell are both injured that day and Austin Reaves just played 21 mins that game he doesn't showcase more, In the New Tork Knicks games even though they have D'Angelo Russell and playing Austin Reaves have played 25 mins but have gained 13 points, I think the Lakers needs their full force on the court,

If they can play as a whole, the winning chance is far better than how they are bringing the outcome of each game that they are playing.

I can say that with both LeBron, D'Lo and Davis inside together with Reaves and Hachimura or anyone who will be willing to
adjust and play the game with a high level of basketball IQ.

Role player who can adjust to the type of LeBron game playing style, they've got this and they still be playing for the next round.

Lakers with a good win tonight, and with that, they bolted out to 8 spot now (but still tie with the Wolves though). But still they have taken control of their destination with a win against the OKC.

AD with a monster game with 37 points, and then Dennis the Menace playing good basketball at the start of the 4th quarter with big 21 points.

Reaves just having a regular game with 11 points.

I thought they're gonna lose it as they had a very bad 3rd quarter and the momentum suddenly shift. Good thing they played good defense and become more efficient in the 4th quarter. IMO, the Lakers has a good depth, their bench can score as much as the starters. Walker who have been limited with minutes after the trade, scored 20 pts and an efficient fg. If Darvin Ham could execute a good rotation and the Lakers can improve their free throws, they'd be unstoppable in the playoffs.

Yeah, when their lead was cut, I thought that they are done. But Dennis Schröder started to take matters in his own hand. And it was said that he also had a good game against OKC the last time. Him and AD had connection in the final quarter that made them take that very important win. Lonnie shooting high percentage was also one of the factors.

Joel Embiid was unstoppable against the Warriors, but it was too much on him, when he go to the bench, the Warriors will go on a run. And I guess it's simply for them, let the big guy score and stop everyone. Maxey and Harris are the only 2 players for the Sixers to score in double digits. While the Warriors has a balance attack with 5 players.
1286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Taught Me To Dare to Dream on: March 25, 2023, 06:21:47 AM
Yeah, I would tend to agree that bitcoin has somewhat developed our mindset for the good. I mean it's clearly a investment for us, but it's not a a get rich quick scheme. You really need to have that mental fortitude to stay in the game and it's going to be a journey to all of us.

And with that, we have to be resilient and maybe dream something big in the future. Let's say hold for at least 4 years, accumulate as much as you can and then sell at the right time to whatever your dream is, like a new home, buying new car or having that capital to put into business.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: March 24, 2023, 10:39:45 AM
We have seen the banking crisis before and it seems that history is repeating itself.

And so if that is the case it's really bad for us, however, we have other options like now like crypto, which I would say one of the best assets to hedge our wealth. Yeah, maybe keep some in the bank, but don't think that it will give you huge profits even if you lock it with them in the next 5 years as compare to crypto wherein in the next bull run, price is going to shoot more than 10x. So just do the math and think logically which is the best between the two.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 24, 2023, 10:12:17 AM
Good road win by the Warriors, Luka did play but there's no Kyrie. The game was really close, Steph though shows another part of his game, when he dishes out 13 assists together with 20 points. But it was Kuminga play's and Poole's razzle dazzle drive that kept the Warriors on this game.

So they are still in the 6th spot, but that position might change depending on the games of the Clippers (now without Paul George), or the Suns if they are going to struggle in the last games of the regular season.
Because they were playing in their home city, I believed Dallas could win the match and close it over the veteran Warriors team. If Dallas had won, they would have been in sixth place, and the Warriors ought to have been in ninth place. Today, the Trailblazers informed their fans that, following their victory over the Jazz, they will also be competing for a spot. That victory brought an end to the six consecutive defeats of the Trailblazers. For the teams that are unsure to advance to the next round, the remaining matches already resemble the playoffs to them.

Yes, but the Warriors won so that is enough for a 6th spot right now, and again, there are teams mentioned that are into log jam, all vying for that spot in the playoff. So the Warriors for now has a good chance, although it's going to be tough going against one of the best team in the East with a good big men in Joel Embiid tomorrow. Although there are reports that Harden and Embiid is questionable. And if this is the case then the Warriors will have a better chance securing a win in their home court again.
1289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price and my mindset on: March 24, 2023, 09:34:03 AM
Compared to what happened with the year 2018, the current situation is in which the price of bitcoin is above average, as 2021 ATH less than 70K. We are now not far from half of that peak.

Perhaps the confusion in the monetary policies is what pushed the price to rise in this way, and therefore we will retest the resistance level at 30K several times before it is broken during the next month and a half, but as I mentioned, the situation is abnormal, which makes all scenarios open.

I would have to agree about the abnormalities this year as regards to the monetary policies of the US and that's why we have seen this effect on the market right now. We should be still in the bear market, however, it seems that the bulls are coming back and has total of it right now.

And maybe we can go back to the price around 2022 again, or at least when we thought that the bull market is over.

$30k will be the next resistance and to some extend I'm thinking that if we can get to $35k-$38k, there could be some correction along the way.
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RUN, while you still can. on: March 23, 2023, 10:15:08 AM
Thanks for the heads-up, although I'm not into this kind of altcoins, but it's good that someone is giving the community about this kind of fraudulent acts which is very prevalent still at this point in crypto space.

@kaseygriffin - yeah, they are getting bolder with their attack on us, and crypto enthusiast most of the time can't really tell the difference between scams and real projects because this criminals knows how to copy everything. We just need to be very careful and vigilant with this kind of attacks.
1291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: March 23, 2023, 05:58:49 AM
I listened to Powell today and he didn’t say anything about rate cuts. Especially in 3 months. The projection was like 5.1% at the end of the year and about a percentage lower at the end of 2024.

True, on the contrary, they are going to increased it so the OP's prediction might not happen.

If these banks keep failing one after the other then it’s perhaps possible for a cut in June but impossible to tell right now.

Maybe this is the only thing that we can keep on holding, the bank crisis has again tested how bitcoin can be a tool not just for the riches but for everyone. They are using to as a hedge as proven during the pandemic in 2020. So in any case that the other Fed will cut it rates but then again the bank crisis will go till June or at least the end of the year, the market might benefited from it.

Indeed, in the world that we are moving, there are a lot of scams, or shall we say people who wants to trick us for easy money. This has been the story since I joined crypto market years ago. I fell to bitcoin doubler early, and it's good though, I mean with that, I gain so much experience that I started to be very careful and somewhat it has become a crusade for me to reports these scams and how to prevent this kind of cyber attacks on us. So again, we just need to be very careful and as the saying goes "trust no one", and this is true to everything crypto related.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 22, 2023, 01:08:50 PM
^ Regardless whether it's serious or not, the fight is not going to happen as schedule. And for Fulton it will be in his disadvantage since he will be one traveling in Japan and for sure are training very hard.

The fight might just moved though, but we don't have any definite date. And I do agree that Fulton is also on a dilemma whether to go on tune up fight to make him busy and not suffer from ring rust, or just wait for Inoue to heal from his injuries.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 22, 2023, 11:52:56 AM

The Lakers back is against the wall right now, they need to find a big man that will help Davis, Mo is injured if I'm not mistaken and there are no timeline for his return. Gabriel is too small to play the center and we all know that Bryant left already, but I guess it is a bad decision for him as he was not effective with the Dallas team. In any case for the Lakers, and even if Thompson hasn't play for a year, if they think that he will be a good fit as of this season or if they go to the playoff, then it will be a good acquisition for them.

My hopes for the Lakers in making the playoffs are going back and forth lol. Now that they'll need to maximize the use of AD on the court, because they are now lacking big men, there will be a huge possiblity that AD will going to be injured again. Now, if they can make it to the playoffs and everyone in the roster is injured, then everything they worked hard for the season will gonna go to waste.
Well, they could run it back again next season or they will going to ruin it again by rebuilding the roster.

I think they really need Lebron right now, I mean he is injured, but once he got back in the roster it will be a different Lakers and could survived the season with a playoff run. AD is really fragile at this point, and it's scary to think that even if he is just going for the rebound he can get injured. True, they need a big man right now so maybe former Cavs Thompson might be a good addition for their roster. And who knows, he could be the big man that they needed to complement Davis in helping him in the middle. Because if they are going to small, there are teams that are going to take advantage of it by having their center obviously go one on one or just a simply entry pass for him in the middle.
1297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dare to take such gamble? on: March 22, 2023, 11:31:52 AM
I'm not sure about this bet though, I mean do we really go to that extremes to point something.

If bitcoin will go to $1 million in the future, then so be it, just like it flow normally as we all know that it's price will go on a massive increase in the next bull run. But I don't think we need to put a bet on the line here, and I don't like this of idea of one person, in my opinion.
1298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price is looking positive green on: March 21, 2023, 03:56:46 PM
Back over months is reddish, I could hardly think about bitcoin as anything good soon but it seem like there will be positive green movement this mid of the year coming. Bitcoin can never be overrated sometimes it will destroys your feelings, sometimes it will bring excited, dudes, is been a while we reap the juicy part of bitcoin. 3 days now is looking greenish with improvement I hope the pump starts soon enough, this green looks real positive

We've already been green since the start of the year, January alone put as like 40%++ pump already. February might be just so-so, but this March is very different from any other March year in a bear market.

So now the market is $28k and people are predicting that we might see it jump at the end of the month to around $30k-$32k if this bull run will continue. Of course this green looks positive because anyone is putting their money on the market because they don't like what they are seeing right now, which is banking crisis.
1299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: G20 exploring cryptocurrency regulation on: March 21, 2023, 03:34:37 PM
It's not the first time that we have heard that this collective countries are talking about crypto regulations, even like every year, G7 countries also calls for a regulations on crypto assets and CBCD's.

So no surprises here, whichever countries are going to lead G20, whenever from some draconian countries like India.

Crypto regulations will be here no matter what specially now that we have seen banking system collapsing.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors (36-35) will visit the Memphis Grizzlies (42-27) tonight at FedExForum. The Warriors are bad at road with 7-28 record while the Grizzlies are 28-5 at home.
Warriors key injuries: Andre Iguodala (wrist) out, Gary Payton II (thigh) out, Ryan Rollins (foot) out, Andrew Wiggins (personal) out
Grizzlies key injuries: Steven Adams (knee) out, Brandon Clarke (Achilles) out, Ja Morant (personal) out

Any special reason why you pick GSW over Grizzlies at home? I know Morant is out, but they still have a lot of good defense for the Grizzlies. 1.90 is really an inviting odds, but personally, I would pick the spread for GSW rather than ML. But yeah, an interesting pick given that they're really terrible on the road. Just pray that Steph and the gang would perform their magics on the court to give GSW a comfortable lead before the final minutes of the game, which the Grizzlies have excellent defese and ball rotations on.

If I can chime in on why @jakelyson might have chosen the Warriors,

a, Warriors are desperate so regardless of whether its in the road or home their back is against the wall so they need to win
b, This two has some rivalry and the Warriors lost against them the last time, maybe it could be payback.

The Sixers vs Indiana game just finished the first half with Sixers leading 10, but I will go on the +8.5 for Indiana at 2.10.
