1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 16, 2022, 08:26:48 PM
And finally Manchester City taste defeat, from the likely source that has become unlikely due to their poor performance this season. I am talking about Liverpool.
The Manchester City and Liverpool match is always a contest and one that is very unpredictable and even with the difference in class this season Liverpool still gave their best against Manchester city.

Although I have noticed that the Manchester City isn't as formidable as people think and with this defeat many team may pray on their lapses, good to know that Arteta Arsenal are still on top.
1282  Economy / Economics / Re: Global recession alarm, safe money on: October 16, 2022, 08:16:02 PM
Asset are always at risk, even the choicest asset is still at risk of depreciation, a great fear of mine right now is holding my local currency (Naira) its depreciating fast and making people's saving worthless.

I don't know if you are correct about Covid 19 still having an effect on the inflation being experienced by many countries of the world.
I can even support the idea of anyone says the war between Ukraine and Russia has a hand in the inflation, regardless I still believe measure can be taking to curtail the amount of damages.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 16, 2022, 07:44:26 PM
Is it time for Barcelona to look into having another coach? Well I think so, right now they have done so well in player signing and the team has pump in good amount of money but after a few good games they have gone back to a very poor performance.

Barcelona outing in the UEFA champions league has been a disaster they are on the verge of dropping out of the UCL and today's match Against Real Madrid was also a disaster. I think Barcelona's board should look into hiring a new coach. This could just be their problem.

1286  Economy / Economics / Re: The Economic Formulas For Future Food Shortage on: October 15, 2022, 07:19:31 PM
Yes it may seem we have a future in agriculture but finally it's all getting destroyed and we are the one causing the damages.
+chemical population: yes chemistry has answered many questions and brought forth useful solutions to many of man's problems but the chemicals also has taking so much from man, chemicals has positive and negative impact on agriculture, we are getting so much of the latter in recent years.

+ shortage of lands: the world is urbanizing and now we have started to encourage in fertile lands to build housing, institutes and infrastructures neglecting the fact that those lands could be used for agriculture.

+ overly patronizing junks. Large majority of obese cases has to do with junk foods, but these junk food has now become more accessible, and even affordable na properly cultivated foods, leading to diminishing interest in agriculture.
1287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7 tips from cybercrime experts to stop hackers in their tracks on: October 15, 2022, 05:55:05 PM
If this measures are complicated then you should first start with developing the foundation phrase for your security with one of the most important is disciple.

Hackers prey on indiscipline like greed, clumsiness, and general insensitive to potential threat, as a crypto-currency enthusiast it should have come to your notice about not keeping funds on exchanges rather you have a wallet you can call your own, protect your device at all time using 2FA, strong password, careful about the content of messages you get and what you click on especially social media messages and emails.
1288  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: October 14, 2022, 09:45:26 PM
Asuu called off the strike and all of a Sunday Nnamdi Kanu won his court case against the government, honestly the matter never clear. The general elections are fast approaching and political party are bringing all their measures to ensure success for the elections.

I think Asuu calling of their strike is influenced by the incumbent political aspirations to regain hold of sit and so is the court discharge of Nnamdi Kanu.
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH price keeps decreasing? on: October 14, 2022, 09:32:37 PM
Well there is no accurate answers as to why Ethereum price keeps decreasing but I can say too many activities are been carried out on Ethereum of recent.

From the merger to now thousands of Ethereum burned all of this can have its short term effects which is what we are seeing right now on Ethereum. But if I were to be a holder I won't panic because the long term situation of Ethereum is looking bullish.
1290  Economy / Economics / Re: Competition in business on: October 14, 2022, 08:11:31 PM
Competition has to do with the way you perceive it. There is hardly a business that is done by an individual or organization alone. But we still see growth in some that others well in my own opinion it has to do with their perception.
I wouldn't want to use the word competition if I have a business and I have people close by doing same. (It's hard to focus on the positive side when you label something a competition). I rather see them as a guide, I study them, especially the once that has been there before me, I learn from their mistakes and success too.

It isn't necessary to always be in a competition no matter what you call it healthy or unhealthy, rather you can be mutual colleagues.
1291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What efforts have you made to raise bitcoin awareness in your community? on: October 14, 2022, 07:19:56 PM
Is that all you know about bitcoin? Should we teach Bitcoin to our locality the way your friend thought you? What if we encounter inpatient people and they come for our necks when they don't see returns on investment from Bitcoin maybe due to Bitcoin?

Well I don't think you were thought about Bitcoin in the full picture. And I don't think you should spread bitcoin same way as your friend did. Bitcoin has background, purposes that does not only attach to investments or trading, tell those people you speaking to about bitcoin about the benefits they can get asides investment.
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH price keeps decreasing? on: October 13, 2022, 09:09:32 PM
Don't know if someone has told you this but it does not take only the supply chain to increase before and increase in price it works side by side with the demand. Although like you I am surprised that Ethereum has not given us a significant rise even after the merger and other things that happened to Ethereum recently.

Ethereum is one of my favorites coins and if I were to get interested in Altcoin Ethereum would be my next option. The usage of this coin remains actively continuously making it a long term successful coin.
1293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My life as a Bitcoin believer on: October 13, 2022, 08:22:39 PM
I hope to clear your understanding if you have gotten it wrong somewhere. Note this down it is not erroneous to think you can make it financially in bitcoin outside Investing.

Yes you can actually but in that efforts and still earn in Bitcoin and accumulate, all you have to do is find what services you are great at rendering or you can also learn some if you have no prior idea and then charge in Bitcoin which you can accumulate over time.
1294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Mutuality on: October 13, 2022, 07:21:28 PM
Bitcoin is more mutual when you put together the collective efforts of everyone, from the moment you make a transaction on Bitcoin you have triggered a chain which comprise of so many things including the miners so yes bitcoin is a large mutual community.
But not all actions are positive (mutuality isn't about negativity) there are actions people take in the Bitcoin ecosystem that can impede the price growth of bitcoin or at worse cause inexperienced bitcoin enthusiast to lose funds.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 12, 2022, 07:59:58 PM
Barcelona finally put one pass the Inter Milan defense in a long time. Just like Barcelona last two matches in the UEFA Champions League, they have completely dominated the match on possession and also on the amount of dangerous attacks but they have had the problem of not fully making use of their attacks and ended up losing the match.
It's good seeing Barcelona in the driving seat of this match but Xavi needs to not only work on possession football but also the team finishes.
1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Classic - Take profit or hold? on: October 12, 2022, 11:58:41 AM
From your story you definitely have made something out of Luna. Congratulations to you so many people have an opposite story to this. Luna used to be a fantastic coin and had even giving people huge profits before that unimaginable fall.

Many investors thought this fall was just another opportunity to invest more and the price would go up and they would make more profits, but as we saw it this didn't happen. Then you came in after all that and then got something out of it. With the uncertainty already exhibited by Luna I won't give them my full confidence.
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have all the 'Bull Runs' just been billionaires pumpin and dumpin? on: October 12, 2022, 11:35:34 AM
Yes it's true billionaires can actively affect the price of Crypto-currency, but I have my reservations if it's possible for them to have much effects on Bitcoin. Elon musk came through about that year you talked about but it generally has to do with Altcoin especially Doge coin. I am not going to take the unproven fact that Elon musk had any influence on the bull run that lead to the last Bitcoin all time high.

Bitcoin is developed already and many billionaires can get their hands to influence it especially as a single unit or small group, it would take a larger group of billionaires to influence bitcoin but what are the chances of this happening.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currencies Privacy on: October 09, 2022, 09:07:41 PM
We value our own privacy but the big businesses/exchanges, we can't do nothing against them if they're implementing such policies. Yeah, there are the other decentralized exchanges where we can trade freely.

But it is that, we have our own preferences and some may say that they don't like it and they're more comfortable using services that compromises their privacy like the usual thing we encounter, KYC.
Well the big exchanges are meant to know what the core values of  Crypto-currency which privacy is one of them. In as much as I don't have any criminal reasons for choosing to support privacy, the internet is a wide ecosystem and many people identity they put out during procedures like Kyc verification can find it's way into the wrong hand and who knows what it may be used for.

And funny enough many exchange that has been attacked recently are mostly centralized exchange so not only are they compromising peoples privacy they are actually not secured. I can advise Newbies and inexperience members to adopt using Private wallet in saving your Crypto-currency.
1299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Namibia Now Accepts Bitcoin As Payment on: October 09, 2022, 08:41:42 PM
I think this system works fine to me. A system where the government allows people to make the choice. I think Namibia are taking a bold step. I am from the country that has placed a complete ban on the Use of crypto-currency but I know how many times people has bought things online using same crypto-currency, so who is fooling who?
It's better that government recognizes that they can really check mate crypto-currency and it's not something they can scare people to stop using, I think if they actually looking out for their citizens then can do what we see on cigarettes packs (warn people about the risk and also tell people about the benefits of Crypto-currency) and then give people the option to making their own choices.
1300  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2017 joined but still member on: October 09, 2022, 07:33:48 PM
First this post should not be public, in my opinion this post should be something you make within you and aspire to achieve it, it shouldn't surprise you that you haven't ranked up yet, just check out your post history.
2017-2022 is over five years definitely enough time for you to have made good progress.

Well there are many legendary members that started off poorly but later on made progress in the form. I have had a conversation with some of them personally, and I have learnt a lot from them, so I think it's not up to you actually put in the work and let's see where you end up at the end of the year.
