1281  Economy / Economics / Re: Learn to use DEBT in a proper way to create asset on: December 16, 2023, 09:00:41 AM
Yes I think we shouldn't be taking debt for our personal leisure or product which depreciates with time which is the mistake people make but it's equally risky when you borrow it for business but it gives a possibility of giving profit which could cover the interest charges. I personally don't think these loans or credits are good because it pushes people at the brink of poverty with penalties and late payment fee, etc.

One should never fall in debt for products like car, expensive mobiles and all. Because only few are able to manage it wisely as I have seen people using two credit cards and keep rotating the amount between two.
1282  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump make world peaceful place on: December 15, 2023, 08:05:10 PM
It's the CIA who controls what decisions the president will take as far as USA is concerned and prisidents are just like representatives wherein real show is run by CIA. I don't think any weapon manufacturing nations wants the war to stop be it Russia or USA or UK. While Trump has achieved more than the Congress be it the assassination of Qasem Solemani or other peace accords which were signed during his reign. I would say Trump would be better than Biden but that doesn't mean he will has absolute power and do whatever you have mentioned or he has manifested.
1283  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is online bank good? on: December 15, 2023, 06:38:54 PM
Online bank is all about convenience and additional features it provides which an traditionally banks don't offer. This exists in India as well and they not only help you with your transactions but also helps with expense trackers and keep you updated on your spending trend and provides more insight which traditionally banks don't offer.

They have customer care helpline where you can reachout in case of losing mobile & even if you lose mobile the person who finds it cannot access your account without the passcode which would be similar to ATM withdrawal or net banking.

Security risks or risks of getting hacked will always be there as it's upto us how we maintain and safeguard our sensitive information.
1284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see repeat of 2017 or new trend? on: December 15, 2023, 05:51:54 PM
I hope people remember what happened in December 2017 as last quarter of 2017 we witnessed bull run and during second half of December we saw price of Bitcoin dropping down and eventually triggered bearish market for next 3 years approximately and we are going through similar stuff but this is not a full fledged bull run but still we have seen crazy pumps for some Altcoin and even Bitcoin has increased. Are we going to witness price correction or bear market now ? Or else this time it's gonna be different and Bitcoin will reach new ATH and we won't see any bearish pattern in December ?

What happened in 2017 will not happen again in 2024 because they are different times. What will happen in 2024 halving and bull run, there is a high chance that it can be better or it can be even worse. So that seems vague, in my opinion.

All the patterns seen by expert traders in the field of cryptocurrency are just speculations; they only become true when the majority believes them and they happen at the right time. And that's how it always happens, right?

Yes as far as the market conditions and the events lined up it looks like this December will be bit different than what we witnessed during December 2017 and actually it's a good sign that we have seen so much of price movement even before the bull run which has triggered more investments which will act as shield even if we have couple of minor price corrections before the bull run. But as you mentioned towards the end of your response that we cannot merely go by expert opinions as they are just speculations and some low cap coins does swindles based on their predictions because of the followers cashing in, now majority of us are awaiting for two events one is Spot ETF & other one being Halving.
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craze for Meme coins never ends? on: December 15, 2023, 04:07:36 PM
It's good to see how people get 100x unexpected completely out of blue but it doesn't show the devastation which is followed because whenever we see any meme or shit coin growing 100x in value we see people flock in to invest on those coins like sheep and end up losing it all. It's pure gambling I would like to stay away as already learnt the lesson hard way and I suggest others to avoid investing any particular meme coin just because someone got lucky. Before investing into meme coin just check the total number of meme coins and how they have fared till date.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano, XRP and LINK "massive giveaway" scams on: December 15, 2023, 02:18:27 PM
Not only AI, everything digital has been used for more evil than good. People who are associated to crypto or AI will be able to identify this scam as logically this is not how things work but for beginners or an average joe it would be nearly impossible to distinguish whether it's real or fake and they won't have any reasons to doubt.

People should get one thing straight in their mind that nothing comes free and easy, don't believe whatever you see even if it's a reputed figure, rather do your own research as these scammers are leaving no stones unturned to milk innocents of their money.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only 89 days left for Litecoin Halving event! on: December 15, 2023, 12:33:07 PM
it will most likely make litecoin stronger after halving. maybe give month or at least 1 and half year after halving. ltc will create its new all time high. and with ordinal founded on bitcoin it will give ltc also chance to adopt ltc ordinal next year. i am excited about it because i am also biggest supporter to ltc and all PoW coin
that is enough time to taste what Litecoin can really bring to the supporters , but what I
am desperate to see is that Halving of Litecoin should be bringing at least quaking the value of this coin
for investors of this coin , Actually i also hold this coin back in 2017 but leave when 2018 bull ends because
I know that there are coming bad for the following months and years.

I wish it happens because I don't see any positive news about Litecoin for years and kinda give up on them, to be honest we shouldn't be much excited because it's been years I would say the best time for LTC was during 2017 Bullrun after that there has been no advancement and apart from halving I feel the dev team should include more features and develop the project further because there are better options available in market for faster transfer which used to be it's USP.
1288  Economy / Economics / Re: Food for thought on: December 15, 2023, 10:59:23 AM
First of all single source of income is sheer ignorance about the reality as you can be replaced at a cheaper salary and may be with a candidate who poses better skills than you or simply due to AI you may lose your job. I would say we need to have multiple streams of income and we can take example of an YouTube or Influencer as they earn through the view time, paid adverts, Merchandise promotion, Affiliate Marketing and much more. We need to upgrade our skill and probably have more than one job/business in order to survive because those who believe thier 9-5 job will be with them forever they are living in delusion.
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How exactly do you find new tokens before they blow up. on: December 14, 2023, 10:20:00 PM
I am afraid you may not get the answer which you are looking for as you will get answers like DYOR because nobody really knows unless it happens, you can keep an eye on coinmarketcap to know the coins which has spiked up or currently which has increased by more than 10% and try getting into it but this involves very high risk. If people would have known this information then everyone would be billionaire.
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wiser? on: December 14, 2023, 07:29:05 PM

Here I would say Miss Alice will end up losing 50% if she goes for random Altcoins and I think both Mr. Bob & Mr. Theymos are would be making wise decision and I personally would go 100% with Bitcoin or else 70% with Bitcoin and remaining 30% which I can afford to lose hence I will be using these 30% into the Altcoins like SOL, ADA and INJ as Altcoins can give much higher profits during bull run (comes with higher risk).
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: help me choose the best possible ALTCOINS for 2024/2025 on: December 14, 2023, 07:18:53 PM
I think if you are a newbie then you shouldn't experiment much with Altcoin, start with Bitcoin and ETH, else you can divide your investment into 3 parts wherein 50% should be in Bitcoin, 30% into ETH and rest of 20% should be on any of the emerging Altcoins which is yet to reach peak I would say ADA would be a better option.

I don't think there would be huge impact on Bitcoin if ETF is rejected. But Altcoins would have drop for sure.

Bitcoin might not drop below $30k before halving and even if it happens it would be good for us to accumulate Bitcoin for post halving pump.
1292  Economy / Economics / Re: One of the biggest problem in our society is that average person don't have on: December 14, 2023, 06:40:02 PM
Why create topics just for the sake of creating it ? If a average person don't have capital then how do you think he will get financial freedom through Crypto when he don't have any money to invest? There is no shortcut as everyone has to take up real time jobs and some even work more than one job in order to save capital for investing in crypto or stocks.

Even in crypto you need investment in first place though not as huge as it's required for traditional business but still without any capital you cannot do anything unless your friends or family members lend you some funds else it doesn't matter whether crypto or bank nothing can help him/her.

1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 14, 2023, 04:30:00 PM
There is no loss which can be justified for taking own life, deeply saddened to see such disturbing news and the wort part is the fact that it's not the first time we have seen such news. I don't usually post in Gambling section but I think one shouldn't gamble more than what they can afford to live, there are some basic rules let it be for future trading or gambling that people only invest the amount which doesn't affect them financially as it's a gamble and our livelihood shouldn't be placed at risk. It's my humble request to all those who gamble to never gamble more than you can lose and nothing matters more than your life as one can go from zero to millions but life cannot be revived.
1294  Other / Off-topic / Re: Simple advice, don't get carried away by people success stories. on: December 14, 2023, 04:13:59 PM
I know you are not referring to celebrities who shill for projects but instead newbies that might have been lucky enough to have made huge profit from investing in an altcoin and because of that they have made themselves a self-proclaimed financial advisor.

There was a celebrity case but I can’t recall the name of the celebrity that was asked to pay some certain amount due to the fact that an altcoin she posted on her social media page turned out to be a scammed and that just proof some of the people we actually go to their page to read their post and digest the information they always share know nothing about what they are doing, as long as they will get paid for it they are willing to do it.

There many who endorsed which made people buy their NFTs and Cristina Ronaldo and Logan  Paul are two classic examples of this and we also have Justin Bieber, Madonna & Paris Hilton as well who were sued but we have not seen any of them paying back to their investors.

Have you ever sat down and wondered “this person that posted about his success story about his involvement in a project, did he encounter any problem? If he didn’t why hasn’t anyone else posted about being successful when they also decide to involve themselves in it?” Sometimes simple questions like this can save us from a lot of trouble.

This question will save us from falling for the trap, but no body bothers to question that as they are blind in their greed of earning real quick wherein they don't think logically and blindly trust these so called influencer or self proclaimed crypto millionaire.
1295  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 14, 2023, 01:31:16 PM
Your topic doesn't make any sense, to be honest apart from making quick international transactions without the huge fees, KYCs and investment purpose we cannot use crypto for all the daily needs and we need to accept the reality as crypto is mainly used for P2P transfer and Investment purpose at the moment. I you even want to buy a loaf of bread you need to money to pay for it as local shop keepers or super market will not accept Crypto.

In future if crypto is widely accepted then we can saw we can rely more on crypto for all our needs accept government related works as they won't accept it.

For now we cannot survive without bank.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking forward to invest on: December 14, 2023, 07:36:04 AM
First of all it's good that you are planning to invest into Bitcoin and there has been a lot of negative sentiments pass on here about the capital you have for investment but to be honest $50 is too low but if you are someone who would be active and keep switching between buying nd selling then it's still a good investment, don't confuse buying and selling with trading as here I am referring to invest when market is down and sell when it's upward this requires patience and efforts if you want to do this with Bitcoin. Other way is aim for half percent 0.5% profit everyday with any coin which fluctuates on regular basis and keep reinvesting for two years you will have around $1900.

Patience and strategy is very important here.
1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FOMO of bull market on: December 13, 2023, 08:53:40 PM
Sorry for your loss, I know how it feels as I have made similar mistakes in the past but as long as we take this as a learning curve or a lesson learnt hard way we can still earn it back at the right moment of you have a strategy.

I have to share just two things as follows:

1. Never go for more than 2x leverage for any Altcoin as the chances of winning are lesser compared to losing since we cannot control greed at certain point of time and end up losing it all whatever we have earned little by little.

2. Even for Bitcoin you cannot used leverage of 10x, as per my understanding we can take a maximum of 4x leverage in Bitcoin.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Litecoin ever reach $1k? on: December 13, 2023, 08:01:37 PM

Unlike many of its competitors, Litecoin is a tried-and-tested blockchain network that's decentralized. The cryptocurrency first started as a direct "copycat" of Bitcoin, only to face a major change in the protocol regarding built-in privacy with Mimblewimble. The reduced block time and limited supply of 84m units, makes LTC a unique coin among the rest of the pack. Solana is faster and cheaper than LTC, but it's centralized, unreliable, with a larger number of coins in circulation. LTC's added scarcity should contribute towards higher market prices in the long run.

Slowly but surely, it will get to $1k. A prolonged bullish market for BTC, should prop up LTC to the moon. Who knows if Litecoin is bound to make a comeback soon? Cheesy

Not sure if it would ever happen again because the last time when I have got good profit with Litecoin was during the last quarter of 2017 and after that people were speculating it to go much higher than ETH as well as Litecoin was one of the top Altcoin back then wherein it was most preferred one for speedy transfer and low fees (Which other coins have taken over now). Litecoin let me down on multiple occasions and IMO I am reluctant on Litecoin but let's wait and see if it can pull out a surprise this bullrun.
1299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: December 13, 2023, 07:29:28 PM
It has been a great start to the week not just for us but everyone who is looking for to invest in any cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is definitely one of the things that you could start to put money into as long as you can risk that amount. It's fun to see how many people are going to witness this and I hope that everyone is making the right choices and believing that it is the right thing.

I do hope it continues to rise.

Looks like this is going to continue for a while as we have not seen any major sign of price correction apart from one or two days where have witnessed fall in Bitcoin's price which led to drop in value of Altcoins as well but now it's heading upwards now and things looks good. There are two things which is will enhance the chance of extended bull market the first one being the Spot ETF and the second one being the upcoming halving, still it's over basic responsibility to keep an eye on market and if we are trading then using SL is must.
1300  Economy / Economics / Re: Sea Piracy, it's effect on the local economy on: December 13, 2023, 07:13:46 PM
Piracy is illegal act, most countries aren't allow that except the untouchable one. Most people like when it comes to money regardless it's obtained by legal or illegal ways.

Piracy is illegal just like overfishing by breaching maritime boundary and what led to piracy? It's the overfishing in huge vessels which is like robbing the poor fishermen illegally yet no one raise this as hot topic because the victims (Pirates) are from poor African nation wherein the preparator are white collar criminals.

If the country is consider privacy is a crime and anyone who doing or support that will be jailed, it's just a law. The government can't stay or watching their seas for 24/7, so that's why there are many sea piracy not get punishment.

Yes as government cannot monitor or patrol their sea boundary 24/7 that's where these illegal vessels enter their maritime and do the crime of robbing livelihood. First they should be punished.
