1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: May 19, 2023, 02:50:25 PM
Bayer Leverkusen tried everything to overcome Roma, they created chances and shots, but the goal just didn't come. I think they were unfortunate to have played against a Mourinho’s side at this stage of the competition. saw a steel in Mourinho's Roma. They defended a one goal advantage for 90 minutes. Bayer Leverkusen played everything in their books and got frustrated. That is classic Mourinho.
I feel Mourinho might experiment this strategy against Sevilla. He will allow Sevilla do the playing while his Roma will score a goal and defend it with their lives.

This won't work against Sevilla. If Roma wants to win against Sevilla, they better come out and play them, and take the game to them. Sevilla is used to opponents playing a low block. A lot of teams in La Liga play with a low block but with more technicality. Although they may not be as good as Mourinho's, that pattern of play is not new to Sevilla. In fact, Sevilla likes to be comfortable on the ball and when you allow them to be comfortable on the ball, they can cause trouble for you.
Sevilla is experienced, unlike Leverkusen. They are also physical and can defend well.
Another thing is, Roma doesn't have a goal advantage like they had over Leverkusen, so they will want to get a goal before defending, which can make things messy for them.
1282  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 19, 2023, 05:12:09 AM
You got all wrong. Spending more to earn more doesn't mean you should spend more money on consumption and you'll get more. It means if you invest more you will get more. If you have a business and you put more money in that business you will get more profit. That is simply what that saying means.
I don't see how you can get more money if you spend more money on consumption. It's not magic. You take money out, it's not coming back unless it's an investment.

As a landlord, if you spend more money to renovate your property, you can charge your tenants more. If you put in $100 dollars in a particular investment and another fellow puts in $1000, there's every tendency that that fellow will make more profit than you.
Companies that invest a lot in marketing most likely make more than companies that don't invest in marketing.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 18, 2023, 10:13:56 PM
I will go on with a bet on double chance for Real Sociedad in their next match against Barcelona in Camp Nou. Call me crazy but I don't think it is a low probability. Instead especially after Barcelona's declaring the La Liga title it is even more sensible to trust their opponents with goals more. Real Sociedad are trying to secure a place in the Champions League and they shouldn't leave this to chance of course.
Real Sociedad has a chance  in the camp Nou not because Barcelona have already won the league but because two of their key players will be absent.
Aruajo and Pedri both had slight discomfort during training so they have been excluded from the squad that will face Real Sociedad.
With Aruajo out of the defense, Barcelona will be missing one of their most reliable defender. While Pedri is their most creative midfielder.
Who knows maybe Villarreal will keep a winning streak until the end of the season which would increase their chance of taking the fourth place from Real Sociedad. I know Real Sociedad have really tough opponents on the way but they shouldn't fear any of them. They should make them fear Real Sociedad by their high effort.
Real Sociedad is five points ahead of Villarreal. Even if Sociedad don't take all the available point for the season, I'm sure Villarreal too won't take all available points. Sociedad have tougher games but it doesn't mean Villarreal can't lose point to a lesser team.
My bet is on Sociedad to make it to the Champions league
1284  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: May 18, 2023, 03:26:59 PM
What would happen if the government is the reason why that country is staying poor?
I mean in the 3rd countries, corruption of government is really serious. Any solution for this reason? You can't just pray and all the corruptions are gone.

People always try to say stuff like "the country you are is not an excuse". To a large extent this is not true. The country one is can limit a person.
People in developing countries don't have the same opportunities as people in developed countries. But still we should use that as an excuse to stay poor. The corruption of these 3rd world countries is so much and it won't be going away anytime so because the people who are involved in it are always benefiting from it.

I don't know how bad things are in all developing countries, but I believe no matter how bad things are, one can make an honest living for himself and break out of poverty. You just got to have the right mind.
I mean, there are other rich people in that country (even if the both of you do not have the same opportunities). Do not compare yourself with them, rather use them as a source of motivation.

Life's hard anywhere, but it's worst in a developing countries. So we've got to use our God given brain and figure out ways we can get out of poverty by ourselves because no one else will. Not the system, and definitely not the government.
I'm of the school of thought that you don't make it in life through luck. You've got to work for it.
1285  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Big secret you wouldn't be told on: May 18, 2023, 07:05:53 AM
Where would one get money to trade or invest in Crypto if he doesn't have another income? It takes time before anybody that is new to crypto starts making money from it, so what would be their source of income before they start earning.
Having different sources of income is something almost everybody knows.
There's nothing wrong with just being a trader. If trading is the only way a person earns from crypto then that's fine.
Not everyone would be a trader. You don't expect someone who doesn't like trading to start trading because he wants another stream of income.

And when you say "cryptocurrency jobs" you have to be specific. What types of cryptocurrency jobs. If I was to follow your advise what job would I be doing?

Your fears are valid. There are a lot of online scams on the internet, but I'm so happy for you. You have decided to move past those fears. That was the first step. It's okay to have fears, but it's allowing those fears control your life and limit you that's the problem.

1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 17, 2023, 06:48:05 PM
As a football manager, Carlo Ancelotti has chieved so much in his career that it will be absolutely fine if he decides to rest from coaching after the end of the season. He's one of the most successful managers in the game of football.
I would love Real Madrid to beat Manchester City today and also go on and beat Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final and hand Ancelotti the Champions League trophy as a farewell present. But how possible it'll be remains unknown till after tonight's match

I respect Carlo because he is a legend of the game but I will not be rooting for him and Madrid tonight. I want Man City to win this seasons champions league. It's going to be a tough battle to beat Ancelotti's team in this competition at this stage, but if anyone can do it, it is Pep.

And I do not think Ancelotti will be retiring entirely from coaching after this season. I think there is talk between him and the Brazil national team. I don't know how true it is but I would really like that to happen. He has already coached players like Vinicius, Rodrygo and Militoa in Madrid, it would be nice to continue doing so at their national team. Brazil has a lot of stars and if there's one thing Ancelotti is good at is managing stars.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 17, 2023, 06:42:06 PM
I am sure that City will try to crush their opponents from the first minutes of the match, as they did in Spain, only then the onslaught stopped after a foul, when a player decided not to rush, for which his team paid the price. There will be no such thing here, Manchester City feel very confident at home, I am sure they will win.

Manchester City better not take any chances with Real Madrid. They have to be very direct. This is not a game to pass the bal around and hold possession without actually do anything with it. They should just keep pressing and pressing and taking shots at goal.
Courtios would be in a beast mode today so City have to keep testing him. He will not be able to save every single chance if there are too much of them
Madrid defence too will be solid but with a lot of pressure it will break. Man City's defending should be perfect too. No spaces for both Vinicius and Rodrygo. Benzema shouldn't be allowed to make those his runs.
Thinking about the game let's me understand the amount of work Man City have to do today if they're to beat Real Madrid. They have to be laser sharp tonight to win Madrid.
1289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 17, 2023, 12:58:14 PM
Just do what works for you.
Some people prefer offline while there are those that prefer to work online. I love working online but that doesn't mean I'll say it's superior to working offline. Someone else can give you reasons why working offline is better. So just do what works for you.

Not every one can go into trading or learn trading. Trading is a skill that people learn and use to make money. What's the point in learning a skill you're not going to use? Besides you have to like trading before you go into it. If you don't like it you'll just get bored of it along the line.
1290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Now there is a global crisis, do you think this is a game of political chess? on: May 17, 2023, 07:36:02 AM
The thing is everybody is just trying to exploit everybody. The relationship between governments is not looking good. The media makes matters worst. The big corporations just look what what benefits them and they don't care about the consequences. Why should they, when they are not the ones feeling the consequences?
Look at what's happening in Congo. How about countries where Oil is extracted?
The truth is, no country actually cares about another country. All they care about is their own country. They only care about how they can make their countries better. The world is just fucked up.
No country gets involved in a situation that doesn't benefit them somehow. I find it hard to believe that the government of any country, especially developed countries does anything out of the goodness of its heart.
1291  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: May 16, 2023, 10:00:58 PM
I do not like salary jobs, but I dislike commission based jobs even more. Commission based jobs put you in a lot of pressure. For some people, they perform better when they are in that kind of pressure but that's not me. When you have a target to meet you're always pressured to look for new clients. It has its advantages but the sole reason that I will be under a lot of pressure is what I do not like, especially if you've been given a very ridiculous target.
I know not all commission jobs gives target but you'll still want to  make the best put out of it so you'll get paid well. I don't like those kind jobs.

The salary In a salary job may be fixed but you feel relatively less pressured. I'm not all about the money most times, my mental health comes first.
1292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You are still very early on: May 16, 2023, 07:45:29 PM
The problem is people tend to compare how things were before and how things are now. Instead of them to think about what will be in the future. People who keep feeling they're too late will always keep missing out on bigger opportunities.
We have to try and see the bigger picture in this. Yes, Bitcoin is relatively poor now when compared to where it was but we should also remember that it's better than where it was too.
1293  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: May 16, 2023, 06:56:46 AM
If you need the government retirement plan in your late age you are fucked anyway. Retiring at 62-64? No fucking way. How about making investments while you were young and getting retired at 50? 40? or even 35? Now that sounds cool. The government can take that retirement plan and stick it to the place where the sun don't shine. Unfortunately for the most people, they need that shit to survive and that's a terrible thing. Now they need to work 2 more years just to what? get retired on a shitty gov plan. You only live once, plan accordingly.

Not everyone thinks this way and that's alright. Not everybody is going to have an early retirement. I have never looked at the statistics but I believe the percentage of people that retire early due to proper planning and investment are very few. There are countries where the government retirement plan works well and I don't see anything wrong with relying on it in that kind of system.
Why would I want to retire at 35 when I can still work? I mean, if I have proper planning and investment, that doesn't stop me from working, does it? For someone like me, that's an entrepreneur, and would most likely be an entrepreneur for the rest of my life, I don't think I'd have an early retirement.  Grin
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 15, 2023, 11:46:35 PM
I agree. Xavi already made Barca looked a powerful force once again and winning LaLiga is for sure a great achievement for the club but especially for the fans who have wait quite a lot to see Barca lifting a trophy once again.

Maybe next year , City will face Barca as UCL champions and Pep vs Xavi should be the game of the year most likely because I do see City winning UCL this year but I also see Barcelona being a force in UCL next year too.
Congratulations Barcelona you have confirmed the La Liga champion. Actually, I don't support you, but La Liga belongs to you this season. With the shopping you spend, it should be more next season than today. Barcelona should be able to play better and be in the UCL until the Final. At least the arrival of Xavi this season got good results. But they haven't been able to play well in Europe. Next season I hope Real Madrid will win La Liga.

People constantly try to undermine the work that Barcelona has done so far in a very short period since they started their rebuilding process. During the last summer transfer window everybody laughed at Barcelona and concluded they couldn't sign a single player, but they were proved wrong. Some English pundits, sports websites, and newspapers even said Barcelona has gone bankrupt and would be sold or something and a lot of football fans ran with this. Here is Barcelona today standing as La Liga champions and now you are pinning it down on the signings they made and saying they should be in the champions league final with those signings.

While I agree with you that Barcelona should have done better in Europe, I also have to remind you that teams like Chelsea and even Nottingham Forest spent more money than Barcelona yet they both won't be qualifying for the UEFA Conference league, talk more about the champions league.
Barcelona has been run better since the new management took over and it's crystal clear that the club has a future.

They may not win the champions league next season or the season after that, but you can see that they are on the right track to be a top club in Europe again.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 15, 2023, 11:10:28 PM
Bayern Munich and Dortmund are the only team that use to make the league yo be always interesting. I thought Union Berlin would be able to make the league competitive for fighting for winning the league too but they couldn't continue with. Dortmund and Bayern Munich fight to win the league is interesting.

The Bundesliga is interesting. Dortmund and Bayern are not the only teams that make the league interesting.
Leipzig, Bayern Leverkusen, and Frankfurt are teams that also make the league interesting.
But if by interesting you mean "fighting for the league then you are still wrong because somehow Bayern always wins the league. It's not a competition if a particular team is about to win it for the 9th straight time.
Credits to Bayern Munich for being very consistent but I have to say I am disappointed at Dortmund. They were really close this season. Like the league was already in their hands, all they needed to do was be consistent and win six remaining matches, but they could not.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 15, 2023, 04:37:13 PM
Jose Mourinho won an European trophy last season and he is still very much concerned to repeat it this season and that is why he won't be too bothered with yesterday's result.
Roma play their UEFA Europa Leaguesl second leg this week after winning the first leg by a goal to nil and Mourinho will do everything possible to seal their qualification to the final
With the way Roma plays in the league, it's pretty obvious they are more focused on the Europa. They have a bigger chance of winning the Europa than making it to the top four. They are only one win away from getting to the final of the Europa and they are very capable of beating any team that qualifies for the final between Sevilla and Juventus.
I am not a fan of sacrificing one competition for the other, I like a team to fight for every possible trophy available but in this case, Roma can't win the league anymore, and their chances of making the top four are slim so it's justifiable if they focus more on the Europa.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 15, 2023, 04:24:26 PM
In the matches played yesterday, we can say that the teams scored one-sided goals and got decisive results.First of all, if I start with the Brentford-West Ham match, we can easily say that Brentford dominated the match and got into more positions than the goal they scored. They also want to see themselves in the European Cup next year and they managed to increase their points to 53 with a clear win against aimless West Ham.But there are 2 weeks left in the league and I find it very difficult for them to qualify for the European Cup.

Yesterday's games all ended without the losing side scoring a goal.
I expected a win from Brentford but I didn't expect it to be so easy for them. They dominated West Ham, played absolutely better than West Ham, and won. It was a very convincing win.
The Man City game wasn't a surprise because I'm certain City won't be losing or drawing any match till the end of the season. The surprise of yesterday came in the Arsenal-Brighton match. Arsenal really messed up yesterday. Losing 3-0 at home is should not be acceptable from a title contender.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: it's so risky! on: May 14, 2023, 02:00:05 PM
I don't invest money easily in any asset because of fear of losing that money. i think of investing 80% of total savings.
do taking risk is important or not?

please quote all question and answer it's very helpful for me and others.

Investing is a risk, investing 80% of your total savings is something else.
Before investing in anything, make sure you have researched what you want to invest in. Investing is risky enough as it is, talk more about investing without having deep knowledge of what you want to invest in.
I cannot state exactly the amount or percentage of savings one should use to invest, I'm not even sure there is a universal number to that, but you have to be reasonable when investing. If that saving is something you can afford to lose, meaning, you will be okay if you lose that money then it's left for you.
Taking risks is important, but we should take calculated risks. Use the risk-reward principle. And make sure the risk you're taking is a reasonable one.
1299  Economy / Economics / Re: The thin line between contentment & living below potential, Patience & wasting t on: May 13, 2023, 02:08:02 PM
I can relate to what you're mentioning because I've done it myself in the past and possibly still do. Unfortunately, it's a combination of comfort and routine after working at one place for a long time. Routine is usually to blame, and getting out of your comfort zone seems almost impossible. It's a vicious cycle that consumes you. I also turned down decent job opportunities that were relevant to my field of study because I couldn't break the cycle. I can't explain exactly why; I just kept finding excuses. I suspect that it's a combination of being afraid to go after a new career and being used to the comfort of the job you're familiar with.
"Fear of the Unknown"
It's a thing for real. Sometimes you feel like just sticking to what you know and what you are used to, after all, you've got a good thing going. It may help you avoid certain risks but at the same time, it may be limiting.
You can blame yourself for choosing the safest option. I do feel that way too sometimes, especially when I'm about to make a big decision.
We just have to keep learning how to take calculated risks because if we don't we can't go higher in life. Starting over is never easy. After staying at a particular job you're comfortable with for a long time, it won't be easy to just get up and accept another job, even if they present a better offer. But we must learn to asses the situation and make the best decision.
1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still do business with them? on: May 13, 2023, 10:38:50 AM
No. I'm done with centralized crypto exchanges and I won't be using a centralized crypto exchange(unless I have no other choice).
Respect for Bittrex for staying legit and paying all the funds to their customers. I guess that they weren't some exit scam and they didn't have any insolvency, which means that they simply weren't making enough money from trading fees. The centralized crypto exchange market niche got too crowded, because the trading volumes went down and many people stopped using centralized exchanges. It's normal for some crypto companies to leave the market, since they don't make enough money to cover their operational costs.
Using centralized exchange is not a bad thing, not to me at least. Aside from the fact that you can't maintain complete anonymity and relatively higher transaction fees, centralized exchanges are not evil. The problem lies when you store your assets on those centralized exchanges.
Some centralized exchanges make it more convenient when you want to trade, so I can just keep the amount I want to trade at the moment on the centralized exchange I use, that way if anything happens to the company or your assets, you'll only be losing a small part of it.

I know that many other centralized exchanges may declare bankruptcy - but let's ignore this for a moment and assume that these companies gets back in business would you patronize them? Would you still do business with them? I know the whole talk of move your bitcoin off centralized exchanges but we cannot denial the fact they that they still play an important role in the crypto community.
"Trust" is not the word id use, because if I trusted them I would have kept my assets with them, but I'd still do business with them. The fact that they even gave people time to withdraw their assets should be commendable.
