Doesn't matter which calculator you use, they are all wrong, even using the proxy for better profits you're not going to earn that much. The price could go up again which would be nice, but I think the days of quick ROI for mining gear have already passed, the difficulty is pumping.

That could be the reason why we just receive 80 - 90% of the Athereum from the mining pools as we expect.

Again, http://karldiab.com/EthereumMiningCalculator/

"The calculations accounts for average network blocktime, which increases accuracy but lowers predicted profit. Don't be fooled by other optimistic calculators!"

Also try different pools and proxies if possible. Some of them might give you surprising results.

Have you tried dcr with 5000 series?

nano fury x or nvidia 970, from nvidia only 970 is very good, and for amd you have more choice, even the old 280 or 7970 are very good for mining etheruem

280x or 7970 are affected by the DAG size quite a lot.

Do you notice the hash rate drop of the R9 390 or the R9 Fury series due to DAG increase?

That is not correct.
My 7970s and 280Xs are doing the same hash now as they did in January.
380X are not as good as the 280X.
If given a choice, go for the 280X.

They are not. Latest Genoil's miner (1.0.6) has an option to test it yourself. Copy/ paste from cryptominingblog:

GeForce GTX 970:
Block 1 – 17.31 MHS
Block 1M – 17.31 MHS

Radeon R9 280X:
Block 1 – 25.95 MHS
Block 1M – 21.49 MHS

Days when 7970/280x did 24-25MH are long gone, nowadays 1100/1500 gives you ~20-21MH. How are your temps?
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining hardware---- GPU on: March 26, 2016, 08:13:33 PM
Guys, what is the best price GPU for mining alts (like eth)?

And which is better for this, 7970 or r9 290? (maybe its a dumb question).

I would choose 290 over 280x. Yep, needs more power but also gives 50% more hash. Where I live price difference is 50€.

Are the 290 still being sold as now? I think 390 will be better than 290 series as they have more memory.

No they are not. You need to buy second hand cards, just like with 7970.

290/ 390 series amd cards are not memory limited when mining eth. With default clocks memory controller load is typically in 70-80% range. 4 vs 8GB doesn't make difference.

750ti CARDS MINE DECRED--

Sorry, it looks like I am wading into turbulent water.  A 750ti card can mine ETH at about 5MH/s in Linux, or DECRED (DCR) at full speed on Linux or Windows.  Right now, my Linux 750ti rig is mining DCR at 480MH/s per card with tpruvot CCminer v 1.7.4 .  I am not sure what speed my 6x 750ti FTW rig will mine DCR because I haven't kept up with the DCR CCminer updates from sp_ , and the posted reports are not ringing true, or lining up, or consistant in any good way.

But if you run the numbers, my 750ti rig would be earning about the same mining ETH at 2/3 speed (5MH/s) or DCR at top speed (600MH/s??? per card).  So, what is true?  I could burn another image to a spare USB stick and switch to ETH, or stay with DCR and tpruvot, or send 0.1BTC for DCR/Vanilla deluxe edition to sp_ .

I am considering accepting donations for my Lubuntu/Genoil's CUDA Ethminer image, but I don't think it is bug free.  It takes a 16GB stick, and is not fancy like other distributions (BAMT/KopiemTu/PIMP)

Any feedback is welcome.       --scryptr

Have you considered trading 6x750ti to 2x970? Nothing to loose, four free PCIe slots.

1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: March 23, 2016, 10:22:08 AM
Yeah... Not sure why you're getting full pool speed and I'm not. I'm using quad core processors as well. CPU utilization never is more then 2-5%. I'm using 970s, what cards are are you using? I don't feel as though this is a card bug though...

I'm also on W8.1 x64... However that shouldn't make a difference as this seems to be some sort of networking issue... That's release #4 right?

Maybe you guys could help me figure this out. I have one rig where the MCU while mining Eth never hits 100% on 3 of the 6 cards. This means they're mining at about 10% less hashrate then they should be, give or take. Processor isn't being maxed, overclocks are fine, TDP is at max as is temps, I really have no idea what's going on with them. I even changed out the mainboard and that didn't do anything.

4xAsus Strix 970 + release #5. Issues like yours were the main reason I downgraded all the way to 7.

Samsung/ Elpida/ Hynix? What is MCU load if you set core to 1400?

1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: March 23, 2016, 09:20:28 AM
0.1 I consider - a donation, beer money. Profit comes or not, who knows. Best was to mine some DCR and put high price ( 0.006 ) and wait...that made more than 0.1BTC :-). It's ( for me ) best to do with 980Ti (DCR, "4 ) profit-wise

980 and 980ti owners don't have ETH option. I would think twice what I do with mined ETH or DCR.

Why not? I own a 980 and it makes ~25MH mining eth. It makes around 0.53ETH/day=0.015BTC/day.  Power usage and temps are very low compared to so it can be fully overclocked. The other algos are close to my eth profit very rarely and consuming much more power.
I understand it can be frustrating making the same hashrate as an old amd 7970 but it is still most profitable for me.

Yes it is profitable. You just earn more BTC mining something else. If you want you can buy more than 0.53ETH/day with that mined BTC.

If you guys are testing pool side you have to wait about 15 mins before you see your real hashrate, you can't just start it up with decred and go 'oh that's fine'.

Etherum will go POS, and then I will make a new coin. Quark remixed+Dag file. 100% POW
I am not going to invest/ mine that coin haha!

No need. The coin is investing in you... 0.1BTC reward.

It is not about (master)nodes or algos or dags anymore, you need more. Eth needs only 18000 ( Grin) BTC to break 0.04

DCR is small money

Small money like ether was last summer? You never know...

DCR is already POS/POW.

DCR is 7% POW.
My coin will be 100% POW.
Airdrop(bribe) for the trolls at Bitcointalk
Happy ending...

Last time I checked my dcr balance it showed 7. I donated that to my (last) teen.

XVC 14GH minerside 4x970 with dcr clocks.

At least there as some smart people left on bitcointalk who knows how to mine with a profit.

I don't know about smart...

This week there is profit everywhere for a dumperminer.

Your latest mods gave yet another profitable option for 970 miners.

I don't know what am I doing wrong but it just works for me. Testing mnpool atm, this is the best so far. Windows 7 x64, 4x970, -i 28.9, latest dcrmod.

Pool keeps difficulty at 1, miner showing 7.566GH, pool 7.0-8.0GH.

CPU (4690K) usage 0%.

^^^ 980ti x2

ive been running that soooooooo............................... i kinda figured you would say that.and the other setup i have is 960 x 2 and 1 x 750ti...

ccminer.exe -i 29.6 -d 0 -a decred -o http://dcr.suprnova.cc:9111 -u s7icky.2 -p x

so can you explain the 3ghs? :/ cause i am at a dead end bro.

Have you tried port 2252?
