1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 19, 2017, 06:03:20 PM
It's a human nature and that's why everyone gets addicted to gambling. And I think most of the gamblers that are being addicted easily are the newbie ones. Also when we started to gamble we usually think that there's no more tomorrow so we don't intend to waste our times to try to gamble again in so many ways.

Addiction to gamble doesnt mean that you are still young or atleast new to the gambling scene. There are alot of people that have been addicted for years and still play. They keep playing because they got various reason however in the end what makes them keep playing is because they could get money from it.

I'm talking about those people who are becoming addicted easily to gambling. And base on my experience, when I was still new to gambling, the excitement was intense and that made me excited all the time. So, that made me addicted easily because I experienced to win good amount for consecutive weeks.

If you earned little profit in the gambling you will get attracted to invest more amount in btc gambling like some games are addicted to the people. However, be in your limits. If you loose the money continuously you can stop and invest on another platform as well.
Yes it's the cycle of addiction. You will benefit on it for the first time and that will make you more believe that you can have the same result when you gamble again. But the same mistake is happening, not all the time we do experience a lot of wins. And when you came to that point, you will try to recover your losses and will certainly become addicted.

If you tell that to a gambling addict they probably will agree with you. Though they'll also admit that even if they know there's something wrong, they're almost powerless to do something about it. It's become a need for them and at worst, something that they rely on for their sanity. People like us who don't feel the same would have a hard time understanding the reason behind this
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: June 19, 2017, 05:48:50 PM
Lebron not leaving cleveland he left once he not leaving again, he will def try to get more help for next year, plus he is in the eastern conference he has a cake walk to the finals every year, why would he put himself in the west makes no sense.

He will just make himself devalued if he is going to leave Cleveland. This team treat him more than a player and I guess Lebron is treating Cleveland as a home already. More training, more chemistry and they can be the next season's champion. And every player in the league is giving him a big respect for their best opponent.

Yeah you're right. It's more likely that he's personally putting a hand in creating a lineup next season that he things would match up to the warriors. As if the cav's current lineup isn't that star studded yet. A lot of free agents will be looking for better options and anything that can give you a chance to earn a ring would be an attractive offer
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: June 19, 2017, 05:20:36 PM
Can't believe this is set to go ahead. Conor needs to really work on his boxing if he's to make this a proper fight. I really like Conor but he's stepping into the unknown here, he'll obviously lose imo.

Yes, he seem to be excited about getting a shot at mayweather but he better be prepared because Floyd wouldn't want to taint his public record and image with a loss. It's going to be amazing to see how he fare though with his power punches.

Yeah, though i think connor's going to realize one thing here that boxing may be a bit different from mixed martial arts. I have huge respect for McGregor, even more than that for mayweather but this fight would be for Floyd without any doubt. I'm not counting connor out but my money's gonna be on Floyd for obvious purposes
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: June 19, 2017, 05:12:05 PM
As i know gambling is all about luck and how to control my greed, except sportbetting (of course need skill and strategy).

I have experience in gambling (casino), somtime i hit big only with faucet or free money and i can withdraw from that. but because my greed i always want more and more, then i'll come again with my money as bankroll. Bet more and hope win more, but because of that i'll lose my money little by little and usually i'll stop after my bankroll to be "0". I call that with greed.
Anyone here have any suggestion to control my greed? Let me know.

All people can control their greed eventhough if they are always losing and want to earn back what they've lost or something that they want to have they will not force themselves in gambling because of that. They will value the money and stop because they always losing. Many people can't control thei greed yet it is possible.

Greed has been the reason for a lot of people's downfall especially when it comes to gambling. Controlling it agree would be difficult especially for those types of people that doesn't have a strong sense of control over their emotions. I think thinking of the effects of what you're doing can most of the time affect your decision making but a person must be determined to overcome greed for them to be successful
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: June 19, 2017, 04:45:16 PM
I think it's better to invest it, rather than to gamble it. If invested it, it's clear our balance is safer from lost, and can benefit even little by little, obviously it's safer than gamble it, gambling is more at risk.

I will side with you that investment is safer than gambling because it is less risky If you've researched and know what you're putting your money into. Gambling can also be profitable but very risky that's why I consider investment as the lesser of two evils because you can loose your money in wrong investments too but it takes time and not instant.
Surely investment is safer than gambling, although both have certain risks but risks from gambling is bigger, in gambling most of us always had to depend mainly on luck, there are also some gambling games that use skills such as poker but if we want to win, our skills need to be better than other players, earning money from gambling is very difficult. Investment is highly dependent on skills and experience, if we have the knowledge and experience about the investment, we can limit many risks and make a lot of profits
It differs on what you are really investing on because gambling isn't for everyone and it comes with a price all the time. There are just things that are worth to invest on. Gambling doesn't offer that kind of returns just because of the house edge, it's not going to be easy to earn a profit, it's just that we will see if you are lucky or not on that current circumstance.

gambling are really based on luck except skill required gambling like poker games. When you depend you family income on luck, then that is very risky because in gambling, you are only lucky seldom due to house edge advantage.
wow that's the big NO when gambling never to stake the money that should be for your family needs, better to just put some btc and allow yourself to enjoy not to ruin your life, just think of it like a good way of investment aiming to earn small amount from your activity.

Only a fool would put gambling over things that are more important in life. You should never compromise your family's needs for anything especially for something like gambling. And yeah it's a no-brainer if you're given a choice between gambling and investing as whichever way you look at it, investing is always better than gambling under any situation.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: June 12, 2017, 05:45:50 PM
Experience does not matter in such games where you can only rely on luck. I have been playing for years, but I can not win a jackpot.
Maybe experience does not help you make you win a game in a luck based games but it can help you in making a matured decision to manage your money which is at risk. Gambling is risky, you can lose everything you have but with experience you can avoid that since you have learn lessons in the past and you will not gonna make the same mistakes again.

Agree with you 100%. Experience will not help us to win the game in gambling, but experience can help us in making a decision.
Recalling events that we have experienced before will make us more careful in stepping. Yes I guess you've explained it pretty clearly. It will really helpful.
- Exactly, experience helps us avoid making wrong decisions although it can not help us win but it limits certain risks, that is also a good thing for us. We can not win but we should not lose too much money, experience is a very necessary and important factor in gambling. If we just rely on luck, surely we will never keep profits in gambling because lucky do not follow us forever but experience will follow us forever, it will tell us what the next thing to do, help us not fall into the trap, helps us not to play gambling silly and based on emotions

Yeah there will be situations where in lack of experience can turn our good luck around for the worse. The importance of experience in gambling is way beyond just knowing how to win, but how to handle your gambling activity in general. This includes making wise decisions on how to manage your money as well as being composed in tight situations without panicking.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: June 12, 2017, 05:41:07 PM
What are some the more idiotic and stupid mistakes that you know you shouldn't have made but did anyway. Yes this includes other none ga!nling stuff like sending btc to the wrong address. I'm interested to find out the stupid things other people do.  Roll Eyes

I think the worst won was on a final table in a poker tournament. I wanted to fold so I was about to press the fold button but by mistake pressed the call button and it was the call for an all in. I had a trash hand and luckily end up winning that hand and the tournament because of the advantage that win gave me.

I once made the mistake of the worst that ever happened in the game of gambling with dice put money bets that are not supposed to, I put at the end I was saved by my luck that brought me victory for I have suffered much loss

LOL that happened to me a lot also. When playing online dice, you have to really check whether you're typing in the correct amount and you're clicking the correct bet you're placing. Since dice can be a bit dragging especially if you're playing for an extended time already, you're tendency would be to lose focus.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: June 12, 2017, 05:33:14 PM
I would love to see a showdown between LBJ and Durant in game 5, like something for the books in intensity.

Well we all expect a great game but I don't see the cavs coming back even if they are to play their best game ever because the golden state team is very ideal and an all conquering force to reckon with.

It's going to be an exciting game on how LBJ will handle this game as their advantage is already done. And the crowd is in the control of Golden State Warriors which gives them another advantage to play comfortably. This is going to be a big challenge for the whole Cavs team, this upcoming game is going to be a do or die for them.
correct mate, this game will be play in front of gsw fans and for sure they will also wants to make their fans happy as they wanted to erase the memory of last year defeat it was also in front of their home crowd leading 3-1 but with kevin durant it will be another story.

It's hard to tell if history will repeat itself or Golden State Warriors will break that belief of many. KD is a big force for the Dub nation but still it's a team game and everything can happen. There are even more bench players that are good to play but still I know the GSW wants to secure and make sure this game will be on their side.

If there's a good time to finish the series it would be in game 5. Losing game 5 and going back to Cleveland with the momentum on the cavs side is very dangerous even with kd. I think the 3-1 debacle still haunts steph and the warriors up to now and they need to build on that to prepare more and finish the cavs at home
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: June 12, 2017, 05:21:08 PM
You can ask the people who've lost a lot of money or those people who had their lives ruined if gambling taught them a lesson. Hard lessons are learned when we make mistakes and one of the biggest mistakes you can ever commit is to be addicted to something like gambling. There are a lot of true stories when people lose not only money but their loved ones and the respect of other people for the sake of gambling. And the lessons these people learned can also be a lesson for other gamblers so that their mistakes can be avoided
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA FINALS (Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers) GAME 5!!! GSW 3 CAVS 1 on: June 12, 2017, 05:04:54 PM
Quote
Stephen Curry and co rested through that game and are ready for the kill tomorrow. There's not going to be a repetition like last year but a total ass whooping in game 5.
Its very obvious game 4 is just like an all star exhibition game between GSW and CAVS lol..gsw did not totally play 100% of their best performance they can play well see it in game 5 its a total action in both sides..

I disagree. Look at their reaction on each little bit error on call. Too many fights on the court and technical foul called on that game. Is that the game of not being serious. OFC they are both serious that's why they are easy to pissed off. Cavs shows heart on that game. That's all. Thanks to kyrie irving for saving the cavs for being sweep.

I disagree as well and agree to your response. Golden State Warriors are eyeing for a sweep because it was more historical than winning a 4-1 lead. Klay Thompson also stated in the post game interview last Game 3 that he wants to sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cavaliers just get the momentum on the early phase of the game. If we are a fan of one team, you can't really see the whole picture of the game that's why fans are biased towards each other.

Warriors must do anything to sealed this game at Game 5. If Cavaliers will go back to Ohio, chances for Durant's ring will not happen this year even the Game 7 will be played at the Bay.

I think they will do anything in their power to sealed Game 5 and win the championship. They don't want the Cavaliers to gain the momentum in they won game 5 because they are going back to their homecourt. I still believed  that this is Durant's year to win the ring, and Golden State will be the champions for this year. Steph Curry will not let this game slip away, he has poor performance last game and I think he will better this time. Klay Thompson will also play good and will support both Curry and Durant in scoring. I think this will be a blow out games for the Golden State Warriors.

It's a must and they should.

Like I said in the NBA discussion thread, Game 5 will be the turning point to all, for Golden State Warriors is to win and for Cleveland Cavaliers to gained momentum til Game 7. Game 7 if ever will bring more pressured to the Warriors thinking Durant must force a ring and to dodge critics about blew a 0-3 lead. While Warriors will do all, expect also some good performance from the Cavaliers. Im really expecting this will be a closed match.

Everyone still remembers what happened last year where the warriors blew that 3-1 series lead for the historical cavs feat. I agree that game 5 will be very crucial for the warriors as a loss would bring the series back to Cleveland and a game 7 would likely be a repeat of what happened last year. It's important that kd, steph and the rest of the warriors don't lose focus and take it all in game 5
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 12, 2017, 04:51:30 PM
We are attracted by gambling becasue we think we can easily earn huge amount of money in short period of time.
The most important thing is to know your limit and not ruin your life because of games.

Maybe that's how gambling is for you and other gamblers but there will be gamblers who do it mainly for the feel of it. Perhaps not for fun entirely but for the sake of just gambling itself. It's not even about the money. If you're gambling about the money, it's not going to take your whole day just playing. But if you're addicted to the act of gambling itself, that's when it becomes extremely dangerous
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing casino games online a good idea? on: June 12, 2017, 04:35:20 PM
You can't really say it's good for you but definitely excessively playing in casinos, whether online or offline is bad. I don't know if you've heard about the crazy guy that went nuts and burned a casino in the Philippines that killed a lot of people but that is not an uncommon thing with gambling addicts. The severity may not be like that but uncontrolled gambling addiction can and will bring out the worst in people.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite type of gambling? on: June 12, 2017, 04:25:12 PM
Give your vote to any kind of gambling, is that the betting on soccer games, playing poker, roulette, online gaming, live gaming....??
I just learnt how to play roulette and am enjoying it.

Then when the weekend comes I switch to bet on some soccer games and others sports games I have some knowledge on.

Roulette also has been a casino favorite for me along with baccarat. It's one of those games that you really don't have to be that competitive but it gives you the thrill and excitement of anticipation. Though with these games, I'd rather play in a real casino as the ambiance gives a different feel to the game compared to when you play in a computer
1294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: June 11, 2017, 06:30:52 PM
When do you decide to sell?

Is it a sat, a % of profit, or even a randomly thought up number in your head?

I am new to trading Crypto, but when I traded other stocks, I would aim for a certain percentage.
This seems much easier to hit that percentage, but much more risky.

How do you determine when to let it go?

It's depend actually. I will sell my coins when it reach my target price, i'm usually trading on a new and good prospect altcoin. Follow their news and update about the cryptocoins and when you know something good, i will hold it first and when the time comes, i will sell all coins and you will gain so many % profits.

Where do you find their news and updates at? On their websites?

I have found it hard to find good reliable research on some coins so I don't invest in them. But if I could find better information that could change.

I don't think we can really get the perfect time for entry and the perfect time for exit on any trade. I base mine on the chosen altcoin's history to have an idea about what would be the preferable exit point. I don't really make a target amount anymore as i never really hit any of those with previous trades.
1295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: June 11, 2017, 06:03:58 PM
If I were you I will choose to learn trading to make it grow . You cannot be sure you will get profit with it but one thing is for sure you will not ending up with nothing. not like gambling when you bet all there's a chance that you will lost all of your money. In trading there is a chance to recover your lost.
You're true but also in trading there is a high risk. So the best way to earn in the trading just study first the progress of the coin that you want to trade before you trade. But trading is not easy it is need a lot of experience before you will become professional.

Even with extensive study about coin movements, one can never really make accurate predictions with trading. There will always be the risk of losing money though i agree that for growing btcs, trading still is the best way. A lot different from how gambling works, you're likely to end up with earnings if you do trading right and with right experience you can end up like those bigtime traders who's already made a fortune with it
1296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: June 11, 2017, 05:37:42 PM
yes i do agree with you because in trading the results will be not same such as yesterday and possible too for that day you will experience to loss because you had wrong predict for the prices movement however even these jobs full of risk but some people very enjoy for trading and they more likely to choose trading than other jobs
Yes the results changes every transaction because of the development that have been made in bitcoin itself. For me there is a lot more thing to monitor it through graphs and news to make it more predicatable and to know what is the best thing to do especially on trading because one wrong moved and you may lose a lot of bitcoin in one transaction. But if you will manage it well it may lessen the risk to lose and you may earn more.
That's why it's better that you have a decent capital when you trade to give way to these risks and that's also the reason why it's important that you don't depend on a single coin. Aside from studying and observing the movement of coins and which coins are good to trade at a certain time, you have to be patient because all these fluctuations can make anyone do panic decisions that will certainly lead to losses
1297  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Your Review for POLONIEX.com? SCAM or LEGIT? on: June 11, 2017, 05:22:41 PM
I'm not sure where you're reading all these bad reviews but I've been using polo for most of my trades and I can attest that it is a legitimate trading site. It's been there for quite some time now and I haven't had any issues with withdrawals and deposits yet. Certainly better than other trading platforms like yobit and i would definitely recommend this to people who wants to start trading
1298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have a future? on: June 11, 2017, 05:13:32 PM
Yeah, I believe that bitcoin has a future because bitcoin now increases today unlike before. I think 5yrs from now it will also increases but that is just my opinion maybe we also need to be careful, and just like what they said "expect the unexpected".  Roll Eyes
yes that is a fact no doubt that bitcoin has a bright future, bitcoin is now becoming the most popular currency of the world, people are now adopting bitcoin as their main currency. and hope that the user of bitcoin will increase too much n near future.

It's funny that this question still needs to be asked and that there are still questions about btc's future. We're now looking at btc to breach 3k dollars this year and if that doesn't tell you that something good is in store for btc, then you're not paying attention. All signs lead to bitcoin becoming more and more popular and in demand which can only mean good things for it so I think btc is for real and it's here to stay
1299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: June 11, 2017, 05:07:28 PM
I think there is no fix income in bitcoin trading because sometimes the value of bitcoin is low and sometimes its value is much bigger. But bitcoin trading is really a good sourcr of income but as long as i know as the bitcoin is getting more known and exsposed it gains more value, thats why there is no fix income in bitcoin trading.
Thats right theres no fixed income in trading but if you want minimum income it is possible. How? You need big capital so you have opportunity to buy difference altcoin and for atleast 1 altcoin everyweek increase the price so you can earn bitcoin everyweek. Trading is very good choice to earn bitcoin and to help grow your bitcoin. But trading is not easy you need a lot of knowledge.

If you're looking for a fixed income like that of having a regular job that's paying you, I agree, you won't find that in btc aside from daily, weekly and monthly signature campaigns. Earnings you'll get from btc and altcoin tradings will vary in amount every time. There will even be times that you're not going to get any profits at all. That's what makes trading a challenging career and better for side jobs only for most people.
1300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: June 11, 2017, 04:55:09 PM
I am thinking .. to put all my money in bitcoin what do you think? is it a good way to grow my money? or it is risky or.. ?
Yes bitcoin is a good investment  to make your money grow but had risk also. But holding it for long term will be a good investment mostly now that the price continue to skyrocket. But I will not put all my money In btc only trading altcoin is much profitable for me .

Profitability wise, I'd put my money on btc rather than other altcoins. And you're right. It's foolish to put all your resources in one place whether it's btc, gold or whatever. Given the unpredictability of btc, we'd all be wise to keep our resources spread out in other investments. Though your gamble may reap huge profits if you place all your money in btc, the risk is too great to lose all your money as well if something unwanted happens
