1281  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: May 23, 2020, 12:55:25 PM

What would be your opinions be on this? Should more and more governments create their own digital currencies and introduce them to their population or should we not support the creation of digital currencies made by governments?
I think this is not a true government action. Everyone knows that there are many criminals and mafia in this market. anonymous bitcoin transactions and privacy coins all make it easy to complete transactions. If the governments of many countries are involved, they are helping the terrorists. When the market becomes stronger and more liquid, it will create more favorable conditions for the world of gangster.

Bitcoin is not 100% anonymous.

It is what we call pseudo-anonymous. If you will be doing some simple google searches, you can actually see that there are still those criminals getting caught despite using Bitcoin. And they are not helping these criminals when they create a digital representation of the fiat we are using. when government create digital currency, it doesn't mean that it will be decentralized like Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies that we are trading and investing.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Underground Casinos Is it Happening? on: May 23, 2020, 11:48:17 AM
It is not an underground casino per se but yeah, it is happening.

My friends told me about someone who asked him about gambling secretly and that guy just chose who will go into his apartment to gamble. It is like a meetup but you are the one who invited them. I don't think casinos will be disobeying the protocol right now about the quarantine, but the gamblers, they can do a lot of things for this to happen.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does Gambling really mean to you? on: May 23, 2020, 11:15:28 AM
It is something that we should be worried about if we are not in control.

If you can control yourself, still, try to limit yourself from gambling since despite you saying that you are just playing for fun, for excitement or for the money, you are still losing money and time in the long run. I know this is hard for those people that are actually trying to do that and actually addicted to it, but still, keep on trying.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 23, 2020, 10:45:03 AM
What about today guys? I went with OG match line here, have a feeling OG will want to make up for yesterday performance. I am a little worried about MidOne ping, he is still playing from Asia on EU servers but I guess he should be used to it by now Smiley

That is the most annoying thing with online tournaments.

I guess they will really suffer but I think even with the offline tournaments, they might not be that strong really without their main mid, Topson as he really shines in the midlane. Unless this pandemic ends, we will not see the full potential of this new team with new players on both sides of the lane. I think Sumail and Topson with NoTail will really be a good combo. They could win again the TI.
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. If nations/states/governments are accumulating Bitcoin, then on: May 23, 2020, 10:17:30 AM
Based from the news that says North Korea supporting cyber groups so they could earn money, I guess they are.

There are a lot of talks about North Korea planning heists all over the world to accumulate the money they might use to improve or develop their military forces. Some government officials are obviously thinking about this but they can't really do nothing since right now, most of them are more busy dealing with the current pandemic.
1286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The growth of cryptocurrency on: May 23, 2020, 09:57:47 AM
A lot of reasons why we got here, who brings in. But we also know that neither all of them coming are sticking into crypto, yet they also quit and fired.
That's life in here, some people live while some people also leaving. Cryptocurrency is a long way to go before all have noticed it.
Of having a decade of its existence, still not enough to get noticed.

Some people did stop investing in this and other cryptocurrencies.

I mean it is better in the long run, instead of just dropping your investment in a certain pump or dump, I guess it is just best to just hold it for a long time and sell it at the best price maybe 3 or 5 times the price when you first invested. I think it has enough time to be noticed and comparing the people who invested in the past than now, now has a lot of investors.

But you have to be careful in selecting projects that you will hold for long term. Because a lot of them will be abandoned and have no value in the market later on. Most of the new alts are only good at the beginning and will fall even after couple of weeks of trading. If you want to be sure of your investments, take time to review those top altcoins, maybe those top 20 alts. And you have to closely monitor their updates and progress so as not to be left behind by potential rise of their price in the market.

If you will be planning to hold anything, obviously it will be Bitcoin.

Bitcoin gave a lot of good profits for those people who hold it in the long term. This is the reason why we should also be patient with the current movements of Bitcoin even after the halving since there are a lot of people having doubts about Bitcoin not making any movement after halving. For me, it is better rather than the price falling down.
1287  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading mistakes on: May 23, 2020, 08:08:19 AM
how about being impatient?

Maybe it would go under not prepared since most of those people that are impatient do not know what to do in time they are waiting for their investments to grow. Another thing with being a follower is that you learn things from people but it depends on how you will be using that skill or knowledge you've learned.
1288  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The next serious threat to bitcoin after Coronavirus on: May 23, 2020, 02:41:23 AM
Some Muslims might be so busy killing other people but not all of them.

It is now a kind of racism that when we see people wearing Arabs clothes, we get the idea that it is a Muslim, and what we relate to them is that people being a terrorist, a murderer but on the other side, not all of them are like that. I know a lot of Muslims and they are just conservative but other than that, they are just like us believing in what our religion believes in. It is not a threat to Bitcoin, this is the loose end of humanity.
1289  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: May 23, 2020, 02:13:56 AM
Depending how giving rule and space by government each country, I think cryptocurrency could replace for fiat currency place if government want to allow and legal using bitcoin or altcoin as currency payment, but right now have many countries not giving access to bitcoin and altcoin become public digital currency payment.

And let the whales control the country? For real?

As long as the government couldn't control cryptocurrencies, it will never replace fiat currency. We all know how controlling they are, that would never change as long as they are the government. I do believe that we will be seeing a digital currency used in a country but I don't think it will be Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies we are seeing or using now. Bitcoin can be mainstream in the future, but it will never replace fiat currency.
1290  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: May 23, 2020, 01:39:10 AM
That is why the government needs to step in.
We shouldn't rely too much on the government that we end up doing nothing for ourselves, we need to find ways to make sure that we can put food on the table, the government focuses on utilitarian policies and that is the reason that they are having a hard time to decide what to do to prevent tipping the scale that will lead to chaos. We people should learn to fend for ourselves at the time of crisis. This is the most overlooked problem by the masses because they are theone causing it and you know what they say, people are blind for their causes.

And what would people do when they can't go out like this?

I do know that we should not always rely on it, I just said that the government needs to step up. Despite that, what can people do these days? They can't even go to work? What do you want them to do? Invest? Not all of the people in quarantine can do that. Start a business? Really? People don't have a choice but to either rely on themselves or rely on the people that give help. If you will always rely on yourself, you can be lost, you don't always need to rely on yourself because that would tire in the long run and would end up in a bad position.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 23, 2020, 12:43:55 AM
I cannot imagine how big the pressure in the physical casino because I never go to that place. I prefer to use online gambling because I think it is difficult to handle our emotion in that place.

Despite the places you are gambling in, in terms of emotion, physical and online casinos are the same.
I tend not to agree on this because emotion is different in Live casino playing because there are other people around you and the ambiance is so different when you are playing online in your room.
Emotions do not depend on the place where you are gambling, either online or offline. As long as you feel that you are losing and you need to step out of the limit, you will be doing that. The casino through increases that emotions or feelings more since you are surrounded by people that could either make them jealous or they want to show off, that is a big factor why a lot of people are following their emotions offline than online.
sorry to mention this mate but i believe that you are not a regular Live casino player and mostly playing only Via online thats why you cannot differentiate those 2 but i understand you .

I did went but I am not a regular, to be honest.

I can't stand talking to people when they ask me how I am doing? What is happening, some even ask me something I can't really answer like hows my cousin or my nephews. Maybe I don't belong to physical casinos or live casinos but there are some people that actually told me about this and the pressure is usually offline than online.

1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What sports do you think that can resume amid Covid-19 scare. on: May 21, 2020, 12:01:39 PM
Taking the check-ups aside, these are the sports that I think would still continue:

*track and field events
*swimming
*Boxing
*esports(obviously)
*Golf
*Bowling

I don't include games like Chess since I don't think that it is a bit of popularity in the betting community unlike some of the games on my list. I think Soccer, Hockey, Basketball, and Volleyball will also continue but we all know how these teams are so close and would always touch other people so there would be a lot of people that would be going against that.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Physical Gambling Casino Simulation through GTA V on: May 21, 2020, 11:43:38 AM
...but I don't find the same vibe and excitement when I play gambling in a simulation casino in GTA V because I am not used to it.

It is a simulation, so yeah.

I did play GTA but not that advanced since I don't have a powerful PC to install and play that, just San Andreas. But this game has a lot of mini-games, a lot of places to go to and a lot of achievements to do, as I said, you will never be limited to the 4 corners of the casino in-game since you will be more entertained by the thrill of going around the map doing what you want to do.

1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency fraud and scams on: May 20, 2020, 10:25:29 AM
If there is such a large "army" of scammers, why not create an "army" that will fight them. This must be centralized, otherwise we may lose the cryptocurrency. Undecided

Scams are inevitable, the same as hacks and we all know that.

Instead of "creating an army that will fight against them", why not just create or build your knowledge so that you will be able to avoid and prevent yourself from being a victim of scams. As long as there are victims, there will always be a lot of people that would try to scam people.
1297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible to Manipulate bitcoin price?? on: May 20, 2020, 09:29:48 AM
there is a huge difference between "control" and "manipulate" and you are confusing the two together.
controlling price is what is happening in the altcoin market where the premine owners, the company that owns and controls the altcoin, or the big altcoin whales (in some cases a small whale) can change the price at any time and with any percentages in any direction that they want. this is called control.

This is the correct answer here.

But since we are talking about control, we can relate this to decentralization, right? Since these owners can "control" the price, then can we still call altcoins decentralized? There are altcoins that are centralized but there are those that are still controlled by the owners. The long-running altcoins, are they still under manipulation or control?
1298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price could reach $ 100,000 by 2025 on: May 20, 2020, 06:06:42 AM
The year is 2025. #bitcoin has been trading between 50k-100k. Hyperinflation is real. The new generation of bearish guys on twitter warn your it’s going back to 9500 every time it dump. You laugh, it dumps to 19k and everybody sells before it bounces to a new high 🔮

How do you think ? and give me comment here
I have not seen any signs to make bitcoin so strong in the future. I always think that this is one of the price markets and we will never have an easy game. Therefore, I only think that Bitcoin can fluctuate between $ 20k and $ 30k. Don't expect it to increase x5 or x10 as the financial experts say, it's all for the sake of public opinion.
$ 100,000 is a high number for the current price of Bitcoin, don't push too much, it's better to have a healthy increase,
if the price suddenly rises to $ 100,000 then a dump can also - $ 100,000, don't forget that

That is right.

We never know what can happen with the market since we are in a decentralized community. Every movement in the market can affect the price of each cryptocurrencies. But here's the thing, it is so volatile that a $100K increase is not impossible. We still have 5 years to do that and considering the price changes of Bitcoin in the pasts, it is achievable.
1299  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: May 20, 2020, 04:09:11 AM
That is why the government needs to step in.

They need to take care of their people that is why a lot of governments are considering printing a lot of money to be used in this pandemic. They are giving money and food to people for them to stay in their homes but still, that is not enough with a lot of people considering that most of them are unemployed to start with. Just imagine those people without houses, they are having the worst time right now.
1300  Economy / Economics / Re: Did COVID-19 Bring Any Positive Sign? on: May 20, 2020, 03:14:43 AM
    • Environmental Improvement:
The environment is passing the happiest moment now. The level of sound pollution has decreased tremedously. The amount of led and carbon-di-oxyde in the air are decreasing in the tolerable stage. The ozone layer is repairing its scratches. The environmental eco-system is being tighten.

The best thing here is these changes.

It is really great but I doubt that it is just the ozone layer's scratches, it is its holes. It is told that the ozone layer's hole is getting big and with the pandemic that happened, that hole is slowly healing. The earth has its rest these past months and it still might for a longer period of time as the pandemic is still there.
