1281  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 21, 2023, 02:00:19 PM
If gambling was about self control people wouldn't have lost millions, their houses, their families and more.
That's not right way to express gambling, those people have lost millions because they were greedy to earn a lot of money with gambling and I don't believe that the ones who don't have self-control can earn any amount in gambling. A gambler with self control can earn money but a gambler with no self control can't earn money.

In fact the ones who prefer self-control don't gamble to earn money because their main focus is to have some entertainment. The ones who are already addicted to gambling won't get any benefit if they put thousands of self-exclusion rules. It's better to develop self-discipline by accepting the fact that earning a lot of money as a gambler is not for everyone and once a person understands it then that person would never need self-exclusion.
1282  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: December 21, 2023, 01:12:55 PM
Every now and then you see something new. We started with only dice and there were 100 copies on different sites. Next came crash and again 100 copies. Eventually a site got to where they offered slots, house slots then 3rd party providers. Next came the cases. Who knows how long we will wait for the next interesting thing, but it will come and there will always be 100 copies.
You're absolutely right, when something new comes then others will follow it and make copies of it. The dice was copied by many casinos and they just changed its name to XYZ dice and same happened with the other games. In the world of online gambling and online casinos most of the games are just copies and nothing else. When something new enters the market and it gets attention then others make copies of it. This thing will continue for a long time and they'll keep copying the new concepts.

People have ready to made templates that they install and create a casino out of no where. I won't say that we don't have unique casino sites but all those unique casino sites will be copied by someone else within few days when they get some attention. A few copies of a site are created for scamming purpose while others are copied to create the same feeling in the players who already used the original site. It's a business and in a business people try their best to be on the top either by following someone else idea or by creating something original.
1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When do you think Bitcoin ETF will be approved? on: December 21, 2023, 01:00:26 PM
As i know in crypto events happens when we least expect.
You seems to be new on the forum and that's why you're making multiple posts to reply others. I would suggest you to reply all of the posts by quoting the posts in a single post, that way you will not break any rules.

I believe the Bitcoin ETF can be approved anytime, it may get approved on Christmas or it may get approved in the first 2 weeks of January 2024 but we really don't have to think a lot about that. Our main concern should be that how good impact the approval of ETF will have on the Bitcoin's price as that's a better way to look after the ETFs.

I believe the ETF approval can create a FOMO effect for short-term and we may see pump in the price of Bitcoin when the ETFs get approved by SEC. Whether the ETFs get approved this month, the next month, or during halving event the main concern should be the effect of them on Bitcoin and whole crypto-market. And, I'm quite sure that effect is going to be a positive one.
1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to speed up a transaction? on: December 21, 2023, 12:23:23 PM
I broadcasted a transaction with a too low fee via Mycelium, any way to speed it up?
If you have sent a transaction with a fee that's less than 10 sat/vB then you won't be able to speed up the transaction but if you have used 10 sat/vB or more as transaction fee then you may try ViaBTC transaction accelerator to accelerate the transaction speed.

I would recommend you to use Electrum wallet next time when you are sending a transaction because that wallet RBF and you can anytime increase the transaction fee to speed up the transactions that you sent via Electrum.
1285  Other / Meta / Re: Eli5 sub under beginners and help on: December 21, 2023, 12:08:42 PM
Eli5 sub on Reddit explains complicated things minus the complications, handy for beginners. Why not bitcointalk have same sub for crypto stuff?
It's not needed on Bitcointalk because on this forum members can easily understand the threads of Beginners & Help board and there are plenty of such threads present on that board. Those topics are written in a very simple way that anyone can understand those topics easily. If I'm not wrong then we don't have members who are 5 years old on this forum and that's why it would be unnecessary to create a child board in the Beginners & Help board.

If you think the threads at Beginners & Help board are somehow tough for beginners then you can create your own threads at that board and explain the topics in a way that even 5 year old child could understand those topics. I would suggest you to use basic language if you want everyone to understand the topics. Although, it's not necessary but if you want to do it then you can do it without any issues.
1286  Other / Meta / Re: Gangs of BitcoinTalk :) on: December 20, 2023, 09:07:29 PM
So.... is it wrong or correct for WO's to be so overly bullish on BTC ?
No it's not wrong to be overly bullish about Bitcoin. We love it and we believe that it will reach high values overtime and that believe is the most important thing we have. Bitcoin is bullish, it was bullish, and it will be bullish. Let's hope to see that as a part of reality in the coming two years.
1287  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN]🏆 GOSUBETTING Article/Review Campaign 🏆 Write, publish, earn a reward 🏆 on: December 20, 2023, 07:34:47 PM
~Snip~

That's called marketing, OP wants to have some reviews on the websites that have good traffic. Once the review is completed the website owner will leave a do follow link of the site and that will help the site to rank up on search engines like Google.

The traffic or you can say readers of those sites will also visit the OP's site and that could be helpful for OP's. Such type of reviews are needed for SEO purpose and they work like a charm for the sites. You must have to understand that these things are mostly done with the aim of getting targeted traffic on a site, and the ones with popular websites get such offers every time.

Welcome back to the forum brother! I hope everything will get better with the passage of time. Life is difficult sometimes but with courage we can face and solve all problems that we have or that are waiting for us. Best of luck from my side! Hope to see some good posts from you soon!
1289  Other / Meta / Re: To login I had to go thru over 50 captcha is this normal? on: December 20, 2023, 07:09:46 PM
I have used tailsOS before but I don't think it is something which can be used for day to day. Another thing worth mentioning, because  tailsOS runs on USB flash drive, I don't know how much of it's reliable or efficient. I'm unsure of the capabilities of a mere USB. And because tailsOS gives us temporary privacy solution, it cannot be used as a regular operating system. I would only use tailsOS when I'm outside or on others place or on public places, cafe etc.
If your main concern is privacy then TailsOS can be used for day to day tasks without any worries but if you're someone who doesn't care a lot about privacy then using of TailsOS will be very hard for you. I agree with you that USB flash drives can be unreliable sometimes but if you purchase one from a good brand then you won't face any issues with it.

TailsOS is not for day to day users it's basically for privacy concerned users but it can be used by day to day users without any issues. I believe a better alternative for day to day users should be Qubes OS, but that operating system is a little bit hard for new users however the security it provides is of top quality. You can install Qubes OS on a regular hard drive or SSD.
1290  Economy / Reputation / Re: First week on BTT on: December 20, 2023, 06:04:21 PM
Congratulations OP for being active for a week on Bitcointalk which's a good sign that you're a good and active member of the forum.

Total time logged in can be easily manipulated by opening your account in multiple browsers and requesting pages periodically either using a browser-level automation tool like iMacros or using a bot.
I think doing something like that to increase your total logged in time on this forum is the worst thing that anyone can do. An active member of the forum don't need to do something like that only for sake of appreciation. I'm currently using my Bitcointalk account on a single browser and on a single device but still my total logged in time is getting higher each day.

I believe the users who spend 5 hours daily on the forum don't need to use any tricks to increase their total logged in time because within few days they can reach good logged in time on the site. Artificially increasing the logged in time by using bots or automation tools is the worst thing and I would recommend to avoid it at any cost.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: December 20, 2023, 04:26:44 PM
Gambling should be without loan. Also gambling should be without 95% of the money you are earning. Even only 1% of the money that you are earning should be used to gamble is the recommendation.
I highly agree with your recommendation and I would also recommend the same to the gamblers because spending a lot of money on gambling or getting loans to start gambling is the worst thing that anyone can do. Gambling is already a risky thing especially for those who aren't good at it and a new gambler or an addicted gambler when takes loans to gamble more then the new gambler will get addicted to gambling and the addicted gambler's addiction will get more intense.

A gambler should learn about gambling responsibility and he/she should gamble with limits. One should risk at least 1% to 4% of one's earnings into gambling but no more than that and if a gambler wins some money during a gambling session then they should not increase the bets according to the winnings. The bets should still be small until one gets good at gambling.

Let's suppose a gambler has deposited $10 into his/her account then he/she should place small bets in start to get familiar with the platform that he/she is using for gambling. And once the gambler gets some familiarity with the platform then the gambler should slowly increase the bets and follow a good strategy. That way a gambler will never get addicted to gambling and will continue to enjoy the fun part of gambling and at the same time he/she might earn some money if his/her luck is good and the bets go well.
1292  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN BULLISH PENNANT. on: December 20, 2023, 04:11:58 PM
So for now short term, we do hope that $45k at least at the end of the year will be a good indication that the incoming year will be very bullish as halving is approaching.
Bitcoin is already close to $45k and it's just 20th of the month of December. I believe that Bitcoin has the potential to reach $50k value in this month and if that happens then during the halving event we may see Bitcoin at $60k value or above. Who knows that with approval of Bitcoin ETFs we may see huge pumps in the value of Bitcoin which may take it to over $55k or possibly at $60k value.

I'm sure that the next two years will be very bullish for Bitcoin investors and we may see many altcoins following the bullish pattern of Bitcoin. I hope that Bitcoin may reach $80k value at the end of 2024 and may reach or cross $120k value in 2025 and if that happens then most of us will be happy because we all want Bitcoin to trade at higher price values.
1293  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: December 20, 2023, 04:03:38 PM
It is always better to advice people to stay away from gambling? I don't think you know what you are doing, you are promoting a online casino and you want people to stay away from gambling? Why are you wearing a signature for a casino company then?
I don't think that it's a better advice to tell others to stay away from a thing that you're promoting yourself, but yeah someone should tell the new gamblers in detail that over-gambling can learn to gambling addiction and one should gamble in limit in order to enjoy the fun part of it. There are many new-comers who start gambling because they want to earn quick bucks by betting on the casinos games but they don't know that in the world of gambling we don't win all the times and sometimes we also face many losses. A gambler should consider gambling as a type of entertainment rather than considering as a way to earn a lot of money.

If you don't agree with something then you should not promote it but if you're promoting something then you should at least don't advice others to stay away from it. I agree with you that one should tech others about gambling responsibility because responsible gamblers will never get addicted to gambling and they can enjoy gambling as a fun activity, and might earn some revenue if they are lucky. The luck plays a very important role for the gamblers and one should teach them that if at certain days they're facing many losses then they should stop gambling activity for a few days or limit their hours to 1 or 2 everyday.

No.
He didn't buy a $10K Pizza. He bought a 40$ pizza (or actually a couple of pizza) with 10,K BTC.
The guy is still a millionaire, as he paid the back then, market price for bitcoin.
He also contributed to bitcoin benefit making them circulate.
Ops, sorry for my mistyping, I always use dollar sign during calculation that's why I used $ before 10k. I was referring to 10k Bitcoin not $10k Bitcoin, thanks for highlighting that I'll edit and fix the post. I won't say that the guy isn't a millionaire but he would not be remembered the way he's remember if he didn't bought those two pizzas for 10k Bitcoin. He's a true hero and I admire him for his contribution into Bitcoin and I believe that he's be remembered forever for those pizzas that he bought back then.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Whole Concept of Bitcoin is Failing! on: December 20, 2023, 03:16:59 PM
What has happened now? High transaction fee, congested Bitcoin blockchain and continuous discussion about Ordinals. Cursing the miners and what not!
The Bitcoin network is already congested a lot and it will continue to survive with that congestion. The problem with those high fee is that the normal payments with Bitcoin aren't feasible right now and that made many users to switch to alternative blockchains. I would say that the ordinals are the worst type of attack on Bitcoin network and unfortunately the developers can't do anything to stop the growth of those ordinals. So many new BRC-20 tokens are getting ready to be listed on exchanges and if they somehow succeed to get listed on exchanges then the network will get more congested day after day.

The exchanges and other platforms are promoting those ordinals to earn trading fees and extra and they don't care much about Bitcoin's network. The only possible solution to combat the ordinals issue is to go with LN but no body talks about that anymore and it's usage isn't that high. That's why the ones who used Bitcoin as p2p payment solution are switching to altcoins and if it continues like that then very few people would use Bitcoin as p2p payment system and most people will consider it as an asset only.
1296  Other / Meta / Re: Gangs of BitcoinTalk :) on: December 20, 2023, 03:02:47 PM
I would pay 10,000 BTC for a Pizza replacing Laszlo, if only I had enough Bitcoin to pay 10,000 BTC for a Pizza.
Laszlo is a true hero, and If I had more than 10,000 BTC I would spend those to help the spread of Bitcoin.
Hodling<Spending Bitcoin<Building on Bitcoin.
All this, of course, wouldn't happen if the pizza had pineapple on it.
Of course that guy paid 10k Bitcoin for pizzas but at that time a very few people had the mindset that in future Bitcoin can reach $67k in value and if he was among those people then he would never do that. The guy would be a multi-millionaire or a billionaire if he hadn't bought those two pizzas but even with billions no one would remember his name. However, those two pizzas that he bought with 10k Bitcoin made him famous and people will always remember his name when they will read the history of Bitcoin. He became a celebrity for many people just by purchasing pizzas.

Edited: I used dollar sign $ before 10k which fillippone noticed. Thanks for that.

i meant relic dust but im not allowed to [spam] all of a sudden so fuck you bitch
Kindly respect the rules and members of the community because being disrespectful won't help you or anyone else. If you want the admins and staff to add new features then you should ask for that in a proper way rather than using such low-value words in your posts.

Sometimes it takes a lot of time to add new features because the admins and staff are busy doing other things in their life as well and that's why a mature person should allow them to have some time and see the response of the community about a feature. And, when they get sure that it's necessary to add new features then they will try their best to add it.
1298  Economy / Reputation / Re: My Grandma is in a critical situation. Asking everyone for help. on: December 19, 2023, 07:07:14 PM
So I used the same password there as well. And I can say for sure that that was the reason why my account was compromised.
I would highly suggest you to never use your same password on any other platform. If you're registering on a different website or forum then be sure to use a different password then the one you used here. Anyone with some technical knowledge would choose to make a new password and use it on another platforms rather than using the same password on multiple platforms.

I would suggest you to change your password on each new platform where you register and also try not to use similar passwords as that can be helpful for the ones who brute-force others passwords. I suggest you to use long password with many characters for best security.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ BullBear.Fun ⚡ WEB3 Prediction Game 🔥 100% Provably Fair & on-chain 🔥 on: December 19, 2023, 06:51:35 PM
Welcome to the forum, your game seems quite good but I want to know that is it a type of a player vs player game? If it's a player vs player game and if winning potential is 50% for the winner then how much money will go into the account of casino with each win or loss? I found the look of the game interesting and I would like to hear from you.

I believe your project needs some marketing on the forum and I recommend you to run a signature campaign to get some exposure to the players. Most of the good projects are marketing their platforms on the forum by running their signature campaigns and I believe your project needs it as well.

1300  Other / Meta / Re: How easy is it to sell an account? on: December 19, 2023, 05:28:53 PM
I was surprised to see that buying and selling accounts is not prohibited in this forum. But looking into it I only saw offers that looked like scams (based on the red alert that flags on top of them).

I'm not sure that why you are asking a question like that? I know that buying and selling of accounts isn't prohibited on this forum but it's highly disliked by the community and if someone buys or sells accounts then that member and the bought accounts will get tagged by the reputed members for that unethical action. Even from ethical point of view, something like that is not good and a good member who wants to be on the forum should never think about such things.

There are many good and active members of the forum who have contributed a lot to the forum. They get hurt when they see new users who came out of no where buying accounts from account sellers and then pretend to be ranked members by using those bought accounts. The quality of the posts will change when a new user uses a ranked account. People are only interested in buying ranked accounts because they want to earn a lot of money from signature campaigns.

There's nothing wrong in earning money from signature campaigns but only for those who have been active on this forum for a long time. They contribute a lot of information and knowledge to the forum via their posts. Someone with less knowledge can buy an account but it won't make that person a ranked person truly because the new person don't know much about Bitcoin or about this forum and is only interested in earning money. Such users tend to create more spam and they don't understand that what they are doing.

You are a newbie, you may not be knowledgeable about the forum or about the Bitcointalk community and that's why you are asking such questions. I recommend you to never do something that isn't ethical in nature because a human's ethics and moral values are more precious than anything. I think you already got your answer and that's why I suggest you to lock this thread for the good.
