12821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict the price for January 1, 2017 on: January 03, 2016, 01:55:17 PM
$1245,12. Back to normality

Where is the thread about the 2016 January 1 price?

You serious?  It was Karpeles' Willybot that pumped BTC to $1200.  Ot was not normal.

Let's use BTC/CNY since we all know the current driver/s are trading that...

Just speculating based on its current run.  BTC/CNY is running of out of steam and could go back down anytime now.

agree. IMO it will be a short-lived short. targeting $380... after that get ready for a rise.

I guess...  But we'll see.  It's really hard predicting these things.

Wow.  Dash is a breakaway winner here.  Grin

I guess Monero will fight toe to toe if it was listed.  Too bad it isn't in the top 10.
12824  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC could be a good short right now... on: January 03, 2016, 10:20:36 AM
Yeah... I guess we'll find out in the coming week.  The lower high is an indicator that the pump is over, at least for now and could be a good short to earn a little profit.
12825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 03, 2016, 09:35:09 AM
Someone dumped 15 btc, then 3BTC, then 5BTC. Quite a strange move

Could be a group of people. They bough before the 0.9 release, waited a bit till price increase after the release, and they are dumping now.

It's a fake out...  It happens.  If you like trading breakouts and momentum, you get whipsawed and stopped out almost everytime.  Currently XRP, NXT and now XMR all the same.
12826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XT Supporters... Why not run an XT node? on: January 03, 2016, 09:30:56 AM
LOL.  Thanks for transferring this to the altcoin sub, mods!  How could I forget...  Cheesy
12827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XT Supporters... Why not run an XT node? on: January 03, 2016, 03:16:56 AM
Let's be civil here. We shouldn't act like children but if you agree on a specific fork, you should support it. This should be a community of ideas that is opened to debate, you will be criticized but your opinions shouldn't be dehumanized. There is nothing wrong with a difference of opinions going forward but being respectful to everyone is required.

Let's not get in to that please.  This is about XT supporters like you getting together and making sacrifices to run XT nodes.  Overall, that's a big help to Bitcoin.

I don't support XT. I just want people who want to want to have a debate have legitimate place with open opinions. It is fine with you disagreed with me. If I supported XT, I wouldn't be on this forum supporting the original Bitcoin-Core QT and the original fork.

Ok thank you...  Back to topic.

Then do it and post screenshots for proof.  Put up or shut up.

You mad bro?
12830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XT Supporters... Why not run an XT node? on: January 03, 2016, 02:32:06 AM
I could see that the debate for XT is still ongoing.  Instead of talking, arguing and whining...  Why not pool your resources together and participate in Bitcoin by running XT nodes?

Since you guys really care about Bitcoin, and that you see XT as a solution for its current problems and shortcomings, then why not make a sacrifice by running your own XT node?

I'm pretty sure there could be 500 XT supporters around?  There you go, run 500 XT nodes.  Help each other out to achieve this.  Then you can go around and convince the people to join your cause increasing your numbers.

PS... no sacrifice to it.  $3500 on a credit card, crank it up, pay it off in 6+months, then rake pure profit for a couple of years.  Sell the hardware, upgrade to newer miner, repeat process.  2 Year Personal Mining Plan.  Doesn't cost me a dime up front.  Pulls in about $5-6000 profit over term.

My biggest beef is that there aren't more quality and reliable Hardware Players in the Miner Space.  I'd really like to see a quality 2.5TH miner that could run comfortably on a 110V.  Someone could make a mint in the near future if marketed right - setting up Home Miners.   Huge untapped market in my opinion.  Set em all up running XT I say.  But I'd switch to Core in a heartbeat if they would make a sane Block increase.

Teach and help each other out.  I feel that the people here in this forum only argue for XT because they think it will increase the value of their holdings, and under the guise that they 'care' for Bitcoin's future.  But if you ask these same people to make a bit of a sacrifice and run an XT node, most keep quiet and sneak away in fear of being called out.
12831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XT Supporters... Why not run an XT node? on: January 03, 2016, 02:19:56 AM
There you go.  Instead of arguing, try convincing people by doing.
12832  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC could be a good short right now... on: January 03, 2016, 02:09:07 AM
BTC/CNY 2600.  If it breaks clean past that, who knows.

12835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: January 03, 2016, 01:02:13 AM
ETH is a currency though.  Ethereum is the name of the turing complete blockchain platform. Once ethereum moves to POS you will be able to use any cryptocurrency to run smart contracts on ethereum.  But ETH will be the only currency that will be used to stake in the POS.

What does POS have to do with it?

The catch?  An opportunity to profit from gullible 'investors'.
12837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitShares scam2.0, Still scamming on: January 02, 2016, 09:52:16 AM
What happened with Memory Coin ?

MemoryCoin was designed and developed by FreeTrade so we should ask him.

PS: FreeTrade was contractor for BitShares-PTS (aka Protoshares) wallet release.

That doesn't matter thought does it.. read what i said.

It's not about some guy.. it's about the broken record on play still.

Testz, you know deep in your heart the Larimers over did it by taking advantage of the Bitshares community too much. Or are you really a part of it...

12839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warren Buffet advise not to buy bitcoin. Expect bitcoin price to collapse. on: January 02, 2016, 09:44:09 AM
Not going to affect anything. Bitcoin is going to grow at the speed as it is right now. Warren Buffet is probably just jealous that he didn't get into Bitcoins earlier.  Wink

I very much doubt it.  On that bolded comment that you made, he'd probably say:  "Fuck you, I could buy you and your whole family a billion times over to lick my asshole clean and I'd still be a billionaire."  Cheesy
12840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Sub Fans... Time to Let Go of Your Altcoin and Buy Bitcoin on: January 02, 2016, 07:34:29 AM
All things considered I personally won't be getting in without a clean break above .0014 - .0015 with good volume AND liquidity.  I might but with smaller positions.  Volume right now is ok but the bid side orders are just too thin to even consider that it's seriously breaking out right now.
