Olhando pros stats: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=toptopicsat

12882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy ETH now? on: March 05, 2018, 08:56:19 PM
ETH is most popular altcoin and strong in fundamental, we can see it from the volume and the market cap nearly the same too Bitcoin, so this coin is good for longterm investment. I think the price can pass $3,000 - $4,000 in this year, so anytime will be good idea to buy ETH for longterm investment.
However, the price of Ethereum can not reach $3,000 if the Bitcoin price can not breakout its highest price in the last year - $20,000. I agree with you Ethereum is a good coin for long-term investment. But the fact, Bitcoin is the controller of this game, we have to wait the Bitcoin price increases to get profit from Ethereum.

I think Ethereum and all alts will probably bleed now while bitcoin soars it's way to 25k. When bitcoin stabilizes again, ethereum will start his bull run, followed by the other alts

03 - [Experimento] CoinJoin

12885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cointelegraph removes BCH realtime price from Header on: March 05, 2018, 06:56:09 PM
Just found out that Cointelegraph removed  BCH realtime price from the Header, and added XMR LTC and XRP.

I found that a bit unexpected as I thought they were great supporters of BCH fork.

http://cointelegraph.com/

this is news how? cointelegraph will support whoever pays more
probably BCH didn't invest enough into promoting at cointele  Grin

the best stance on BCH- thepiratesbay
better than a thousand words:

This pirate bay thing was very funny.
But cointelegraph just removed BCH, probably less than a week ago. They were supporting BCH since the beginning, in early august. I check their TA analysis weekly.
12886  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin Forks -How to Claim the most valueable ones with Coinomi(trusted wallet) on: March 04, 2018, 10:36:17 PM
Worth noting that this will not work with SegWit addresses since they are not supported by Coinomi.
You are wrong. This method works for Segwit P2SH addresses. It doesn't work for bech32, which are only supported by core and electrum. But you can't recover any forks using Bech32, as far as I now.

as a true hodler I moves my BTC out of my Legacy address just recently, to reclaim those forks. And moved them to a P2SH Segwit address.

I think my situation will be same as many here. It's not worth nothing.

12891  Economy / Web Wallets / Bitcoin Forks -How to Claim the most valueable ones with Coinomi(trusted wallet) on: March 04, 2018, 06:28:24 PM
Hello,
Since August 1st with Bitcoin Cash fork, many BTC forks are going on, and some of them are pretty valuable, like BitcoinCash and Bitcoin Gold.
I am a bit paranoid, and I don't like to install wallets from these obscure forked coins in my computer, I am afraid these wallet may be infected with malicious software, virus, whatever.

Coinomi Android Wallet has a very good reputation in cryptocurrency community, and it supports most of these forks. In this guide I will show how easy is to claim them.

First, these are the supported forks:
Name                  Fork Date         Price USD  (03/03/2018)
   Bitcoin Cash            Aug 1st, 2017         1200
   Bitcoin Gold            Oct 24th, 2017         110
   Bitcore                  Nov 2nd, 2017         18
   Bitcoin Atom         Jan 24th, 2018         17
   Bitcoin Private      Feb 28th, 2018         ?

If you held BTC in any of these dates, you have these coins in your bitcoin address. Not all of them are 1:1, Bitcore is 1:0.5 ratio (0.5 BTX for each BTC you own).

To claim them, follow these steps:

1 - Move all your Bitcoin (BTC) to another wallet, with a different seed phrase. (Most Important Step)

2 - Download Coinomi wallet:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinomi.wallet

2 - In Coinomi, add these coins: Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcore, Bitcoin Atom and Bitcoin Private.

3 - In browser private mode or in a offline computer, go to this website (BIP39 Mnemonic Code):
   https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
insert you recovery phrase (Remember to move all your bitcoin from this wallet first!! Step 1)
   In Coin textbox, choose Bitcoin.
Still in BIP39 Mnemonic Code website, scroll down to Derived Address.

4 - Open your Coinomi Wallet and open each of your forked coins wallet. Click on QR Code Icon (top right corner) and scan each Private Address QR Code shown on bip39 website you just opened, until you have claimed them all.

5- Do this to every forked coin.

I have successfully claimed all these coins following the steps above.
There are many more Bitcoin Forks around (most are shown on btcdiv.com), but I haven't claimed them yet since they are not supported from any trusted third party wallet yet. If you know any, tell me please.

12892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Forks are bait, a scam to get the seeds to (all?) wallets. on: March 04, 2018, 05:35:30 PM
BTG is not a scam, they do not want your private keys.
Some wallet may be a scam, this is why you must not trust wallets from obscure sources and websites.

I claim all my BTCs forks on COINOMI, a trustful wallet. They will not try to get your private keys.

I recommend that anyone who wants to claim BTC forks, download coinomi android wallet. They support these forks:
BTG Bitcoin Gold
BCH Bitcoin Cash
BTX Bitcore
BCA Bitcoin Atom
BitcoinPrivate

This wallet is very secure for a smartphone wallet, so no problem at all.

If you have high amounts of money, buy a hardwallet .
12893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Weekend disaster? on: March 04, 2018, 03:54:52 PM
Have you noticed something mysterious in crypto price: weekend disaster.

The most price drops tend to happen on weekends.

During weekends, price almost certainly drops, sometimes even crash. Price rarely goes up on weekends. Especially on Sundays. You may look at the price chart of major coins, BTC BCH ETH LTC .. in the last 3 months, which all seem to confirm this.

Why?Any explanation?

Most uptrend happens on weekends too

It's because people get bored on weekends. Stock market is closed.
12894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a decentralized currency convinient? on: March 04, 2018, 03:52:29 PM
We all know that some people use btc for negative purposes (drug dealing, terrorism), so is bitcoin being a decentralized currency is really convinient? Why?

Dolar is used for negative purposes, like (drug dealing, terrorism). So is using a centralized currency really convenient? Why?

What is inconvenient are the criminals, not the coins.
12895  Economy / Economics / Re: Day trading vs swing trading! Which one is better for digital currencies? on: March 04, 2018, 03:50:13 PM
As we are in a strong bull market in the last years, and hodling is the best strategy in bull markets, hodling is the best and safer option.

If you want to trade, swing would be better than day trading, because the uptrend tend to continue for days/weeks.

It's very common that a trader sells when he gains 20%, but 5 days later the same asset is 800% up.

Like Ripple, that climbed from 0.20 to 3.00 in few days.

Is it better to day trader 0.20 to 0.25 or swing trade 0.20 to 3.00?
12896  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Merit Source (fonte de mérito) Brasuca on: March 04, 2018, 01:39:44 PM

Ir meritando posts bons, coisas do tipo.

Ele quer que a pessoa mostre que ela sabe meritar posts bons sacou.
12897  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Merit Source (fonte de mérito) Brasuca on: March 03, 2018, 08:36:50 PM

12898  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Merit Source (fonte de mérito) Brasuca on: March 03, 2018, 07:17:31 PM
Estamos precisando aqui.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2823944

Basicamente são três regras:
Quote
If you want to be a merit source:

 1. Be a somewhat established member.
 2. Collect TEN posts written in the last couple of months that have not received nearly enough merit for how good they are, and post quotes for them all in a new Meta thread.
 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.

I am especially eager to have merit sources in sub-communities such as the local sections.

Traduzindo:

12899  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT SYSTEM PROBLEM on: March 03, 2018, 06:55:02 PM
Admins don't have time to read all the posts and give merit, impossible....

Theymos proposed the idea of some random people who are selected by admins and are merit sources. Merit sources are people with more merit who can merit high quality content, similar to what you propose.

Personally, i think Merit system is pretty good, but it's to damn scarce.
You can make a very good reply and get 0 merit, and when you get merited, just 1 merit...

We need hundreds of merits, so it's VERY HARD to make hundreds of good posts.

I will need to learn much more about blockchain to get more merit, because I noticed that technical posts receive more merits lol

But i was studying already, this is why i came here...
12900  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Stock Market Vs Crytocurrencies on: March 03, 2018, 06:03:09 PM
Stock market have a big risk, but in cryptocurrencies is low risk. Because cryptocurrenct not stable yet, so the value increase fast than the others.
For me I will invest in cryptocurrencies first for long term investment. After that, I choose stock market for short term investment and if money not a problem. I do invest in gold also, but the value very slow increase.

Please don't spread this misinformation, this is not correct.
Stockmarket have much lesser risk and are far more stable. Bitcoin can go to zero anytime, stockmarket won't.

Most cryptocurrencies are 70% down from ATH that was 1-2 months ago. People are having huge losses.
Tradition stockmarkets like SP500 are going 15-20% each year, in long term are performing very well.

You just need knowledge to invest in both markets. But cryptocurrencies are way more risky, no doubt that.

In crypto, only invest what you can lose. This is a rule here.

In Stockmarkets ETF people invest theirs life savings, and it's ok.
