Ooh a really fat fee! Whoever managed to was the miner who mined that, kindly return the 250 btc to the address indicated in my profile. The rest you may keep for your honesty lel. Grin

Things like this do happen in the bitcoin ecosystem every now and then. Some are lucky to have theirs returned and others aren't.

#1 human error (unlikely)
#2 some script messed up
#3 just a miner having fun fusing inputs

1 is still possible. Drunk dude sent it? Who knows?
2 is somewhat probable, considering that most automated payments are run via scripts.
3 is, uhmm. Who would do that, really?

#3 is fine as long as you dont broadcast the TX to anyone else.

Probably is a fun thing to do: trolling the whole watchers of the blockchain and keep them thinking that someone had committed an error on inputting fees again. Grin

12923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Farmers world wide using Bitcoin on: April 26, 2016, 08:07:50 PM
Farmers in 3rd world countries {small subsistence farmers} can use Bitcoin on mobile phones to buy and sell goods without the need to pay huge fees to greedy banks. Most of these farmers primarily

supply their own needs, and can benefit from Bitcoin with the options it gives them to do micro transactions. Farmer A can sell some extra carrots for a few cents and then buy some goods at a local

shop and pay with Bitcoin. If they did that through the expensive banking system, they would have lots most of that income to high fees being charged. Instead of bartering for goods, they can now

use a inexpensive tools to trade with other... If the merchant did not want to trade for carrots, he can still trade with others and buy with Bitcoin.

The thing is, I'm from a third-world country, and farmers here cannot even afford a simple mobile phone that can send and receive bitcoin transactions, so I think the path for bitcoin here for our dear farmers are too narrow to seize the opportunity bitcoin is offering. Also, the irony is, farmers who are providing us the food we need are those who can't even afford to have something to eat for themselves and their family, which is saddening.
12924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First transaction ever in Steam (video) on: April 26, 2016, 07:19:23 PM
Looking forward in buying the TI 6 Compendium with bitcoins! It's about time that one of the world's largest gaming store/client/etc now accepts bitcoin as a form of payment for their in-game currency! Good thing I have some spare money to buy steam wallet right now. Will try that option and see whether it would work out. Cheesy
12925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Banks Hates Bitcoin? on: April 26, 2016, 07:13:02 PM
Banks don't hate Bitcoin. They just pretend to hate it while they build up their own stockpiles of it.
O yes! Im also 100% sure they hoarding huge amounts of BTC
Secretly, behind the curtains some serious trading is in motion.
They gather it for the future combined loans. Some county's still allow that kind of lending
witch is sad Sad
Who knows, maybe some of the banksters own bitcoin mines? That would have sense.
So I think they love it, love to the core Smiley Just cant show that affection yet.

The thing is, bitcoin's market cap is way lower than what banks could actually make. $7 billion is just a minute amount compared to what banks are keeping and making in such a small time-frame. They probably could create their own blockchain, but I think they would never, ever touch bitcoin or manipulate/trade with it.
12926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Banks Hates Bitcoin? on: April 26, 2016, 06:04:32 PM
Hmm banks hate bitcoin but in reality, banks are building up their own centralized blockchain off of the decentralized from bitcoin. Funny how these banks  create their own blockchain while hating the concept of bitcoin (which seems to be ironic, in my opinion.)
12927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ~$10,000 in cryptos stolen off my desktop from an encrypted folder, how, why? on: April 26, 2016, 03:05:02 PM
Uhhm, why would you call it a cold storage when it is connected to the internet? Sorry for your loss, but it's your fault downloading from torrent sites. You do know that several harmful software can infect your computer via javascript, right? If you are keeping a large amount of cryptos. better put it in an offline device and use a strong password--probably more than 12 characters--for maximum security.

You can't do anything about it by now, but if you've been more careful on keeping your cryptocoins, you could have prevented this from happening. Sorry for that, mate.
12928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for website: slither.io clone on: April 26, 2016, 02:20:43 PM
Slither.io is indeed a fun and exciting game to spend your free hours on, especially if you are not doing anything important. Adding the element of gambling into a clone of the said game would be fun and exciting, considering that competitive play is needed to win some pot money or steal money from other players. The thing is, how would the developers of slither.io react on a clone of it? Wouldn't there be issues bound to it if ever? o.o
12929  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: FIATFINDER on: April 26, 2016, 01:43:29 PM
Nice concept for a game, but how do we know that you will not send your own money and play the game by yourself and take every single bitcoin that is pooled? It might be a fun way to win such an amount for 0.1 btc, but the thing is we cannot prove that you yourself is not playing the game to win the pool and tell everyone that the panda has been found.

there is no special match of dota today  Roll Eyes

Yes no special matches for dota 2 this day. The next big events would be in June, which is the month for the Manila Majors. On a sidenote, no one expected Wings to take it and win the championships, but after they won a match against Fnatic, I decided to bet my rares and arcanas on them up until the finals. Never been so happy in my esports betting life Cheesy

Here you are again posting some great picks and helping others to get some profits in sports betting while doing an experiment. Grats on the greens, Carles. Hope to get some big wins also while following your thread. Smiley
12932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: April 25, 2016, 04:35:13 PM
Yes, but just for the lulz and the excitement and thrill I am getting when I gamble. I won't put much money into a single game but just the amount of money I'm very comfortable on losing. I won't bet a fortune for the lulz, that would be a dumb move if ever.
12933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC up eth down jump ship while you can on: April 25, 2016, 04:17:13 PM
Now is a good time to buy Etherum, its price will rise sooner or later.

That could be true. But the long term price of the Etheruem depends on the further development of the system.

As soon as the bitcoin rise is over people will flock back to ether and pump it up far higher than it is now. All you have to do is pick the best buy in price. That could be now or maybe it will drop further. Im pretty sure it will rise again though, even now price is ok.

Bitcoin's price rise would still continue further seeing that halving's ETA is still 3 months from now. And as for the next coin to be pump, it could be other shitcoin and not just only ETH. It's true that it was pumped, but that doesn't always mean that it would again be pumped and this time exceeding its previous top.
12934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying LTC at 0.0085 on: April 25, 2016, 04:06:37 PM
Anything below 0.01 is a good buy, seeing that litecoin reached a peak of 0.04. If I were you, I'd grab those coins right away and keep a nice stash of to sell in the future.
12935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: www.gamebet.gg Launches GameBet Coin (GBT) eSports -- SALE OVER!!! on: April 24, 2016, 07:58:42 PM
Just one quick question from the team, how to import a wallet.dat file into a gamebet wallet client? Can't seem to find that option embedded within the main client and I'm clueless on how to recover my wallet if in case I deleted it on my pc and kept a backup of wallet.dat intact. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
12936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ### Vitalik Buterin now officially Altcoin to FIAT MILLIONAiRE! ### on: April 24, 2016, 04:34:35 PM
Where you see that he cash out such amount of ether?

In the last days I see all of major site that start to accept eth... maybe it's really a new coin "safe" and not only a classic scam crypto...

He openly admitted it via Twitter just so you know.

It's not a sign of "weakness" or scam to diversify one's assets. Even if you are the lead developer of a certain project, selling a portion of it for further planning and developing expenses (not to mention self profit) is not bad. It only gets bad based on how the community will react to that.

You should change your signature to the one gamebet provided upon enrolling. Also, the address you've inputted is a bitcoin address. It should be a GBT one.

Can I try to enroll in this campaign? I know that most sig camps refused me because of my lack of activity. If in case I did the same or I post shit/spam, I will gladly post without payment if the campaign manager thinks I'm not performing well.

I hope you look up into this and accept my application.

Updated.

Updated again, with gamebet wallet. Thanks!

I accidentally deleted my wallet without creating a backup of it. Sorry for the messy application.

Gamerfan, I guess you must have missed this post of mine saying that I deleted my wallet with the stroke-out address and haven't created a backup of it. So technically, you paid the wrong address. I think, I can't recover that now so yea, that looks like it.  Wink

EDIT: Kindly change my address in the spreadsheet to Geeu74Kfj1qT8zkDWBBGAR4ZQ9d7Lm3vT2 to avoid further mistakes. Thanks in advance!

As you left the apparent deleted address on one of 4 very edited application posts, yeh I guess I missed it. Why would you leave a deleted address and not update it with a new one knowing the only address I had to make payment to?

Already received my second payment + bonus!

Thank you so much and good luck!

You're very welcome. Thanks for being with us Smiley

.

I heard a noise saying to not question post counts from me, "Message to everyone in this campaign"- please do check and double check and if you feel there is a problem, please read the rules and if you still feel there is a problem either pm me or post here and we will get you sorted. Preferably it will be on the day.

Again many thanks to you all and glad to see another smooth week  Cheesy

No worries for the missed payment though, it's my bad after all.

I wouldn't send a pm knowing that you already have a lot of them so I think I'll just post it in here. I was accepted on this campaign last Tuesday, does that mean I'm still not included on this pay round? I guess I am not but just want to confirm this. Thanks!
