1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biometrics is the key to defeating Bitcoin hackers! on: February 19, 2014, 02:39:35 PM
I already spoke to some of the devs, they quickly proved me wrong that biometrics are viable. They said for instance, that fingerprints are not the same throughout the whole life, they change and are are not as accurate all the time. I also tried saying ok what about a DNA scan, proved me wrong again.

DNA scanning is even more far-fetched, but could be fun. Imagine licking or spitting into something before you could send your Bitcoins  Grin. I'm sure there'll be fingerprint Bitcoin apps at some point.

Altho DNA is unique (all 13 pairs) but its not guaranteed to stay the same.

Are you sating peoples DNA changes?
I think I read somewhere that throughout a person's life, he has many mutations in his DNA.

1305  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: ABE Blockchain DUMP Anyone? on: February 19, 2014, 01:10:54 AM
Yeah abe is indeed very slow, without a dump it literally can take 2 months 24/7 to scan AND insert all the data in the database.
1306  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Stratum] Overlay network protocol over Bitcoin on: February 18, 2014, 09:12:52 PM
They expect us to reverse engineer python source code
I am not sure if this was sarcasm, but if it was, I would've preferred a C or C++ implementation. I have more experience with those than Python.

Am I the only one that was not satisfied with the Stratum documentation? I personally found it lacking in explanation a lot, I couldn't write an implementation.

The redditors are dumb, overstock and tigerdirect accept bitcoin albeit not directly, but the guy says you can't buy anything with them.

What do you mean not directly?
They use Bitpay/Coinbase and get the $ instead of risking it and doing BTC directly.

Oh, I don't really think it matters either way though.
It matters a bit, because if Bitpay/Coinbase flop - no support for BTC.

Long story short, I wrote to a girl over half a year ago in facebook telling her I used to have feelings for her, she was my classmate 6 years prior, she didn't respond, a couple of days later her boyfriend more than twice her age(between 45-50) tells me some shit and threatens me that the town is small(it's 70-75k pop). I responded with a statement that if he is threatening me I will call the police and quickly blocked him from facebook.

Today I go to the local supermarket and surprise surprise, he walks out of the supermarket with the girl - my hair almost turned white. Such a coincidence was just fucking too insane. Since I didn't have any facebook pics of me, I am sure he didn't know who I was, but the girl did and she saw me while I talked on the phone, thankfully I didn't hear her say anything to her bf about me. I got the fuck out of there like a fart would.
Just out of curiosity how old are you..! and do you think she didn't told her bf about you just because she might has same felling for you..! but i don't think she's worth
I am 20, nearly 21, but I said I had feelings(maybe more like a crush) in past tense while casually asking if the child she was always carrying child was hers. Back then when I wrote to her she didn't respond to me, her boyfriend did from his own facebook. As of now I don't like her in any way, but was scared shitless when I saw her bf today.

if she has a 50 year old boyfriend and she's 25 there's something wrong with that bitch
Run niggah run Cheesy
She's 20 or 21 and has a 2-3 year old daughter, when I was still in highschool I used to see her pushing the baby everyday and wondered if it's her sister/brother or her own child..

1315  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Timing of exploitation of bug on: February 16, 2014, 09:20:46 PM
It wasn't exploited before because it's not actually exploitable at all. Exploiting it requires a human to believe that unconfirmed transactions are immutable, and nobody's that stupid, right? Right?
Yay, let's all start writing in riddles. The OP's question is interesting, because indeed why not before and why recently.

Haven't even looked at the price yet. And I won't, not soon anyway.

What is wrong with them? Bitcoin has gained so much acceptance and attention, and they turn a blind eye.

Wow, without any collateral or any ID of you, and proof of this you can't expect somebody to just start sending you BTC.

And the point in trying this? Without some serious Terrahashes, it's not worth it to even try to solo mine.
