any news for new winwallet?
A new, easier to install windows wallet is on the way. It should be released tonight or tomorrow. I know because I have built and tested it. It will be part of a larger release, with an updated Mac wallet and some improvements. Stay tuned.

Sadly this can't be in any way verified...that's the whole nature of the internet.
Interesting, so everyone here could be a liar and a sockpuppet and we would have no idea.

we are just enthusiasts testing to see how secure these blockchains, lol. It just happens to be that the blockchains we will be testing on are scamcoins.
Full public disclosure right now about your holdings, what coins you have been involved in and your own identity, or you deserve the label " scammer".
|
|
|
as a disclaimer, could you all list all the coins you have launched and also a list of the bags of the coins you are holding.
Haha! The coins they choose to kill are decided entirely by their own holdings! Don't expect these conspiratorial scammers to have make any announcements or have any transparency. That's not scammer nature.

What we are trying to do itt is to prevent PEOPLE from having financial loss in the first place, is it not?
No, the goal of the conspiratorial scammers in this thread is to commit a scam by killing coins.

no more peace talks, its time to scramble the bombers. Nuke the coins from orbit, only way to be sure.
1. start attack pool. 2. have people vote on what coin to nuke 3. attack.
from here we can get three results: a) we cant fork the coin, but mine and dump it for btc, killing any chance of the scamdev cashing out big. Chances are this wont happen because once words get out, regular miners will abandon coin, making the attack easier.
b) we fork the coin, scamdev cant cash out at all. Exchanges abandon the client, enough to kill interest in the coin and prevent newbs from getting scammed. Scamdev also lacks the skills to fix the blockchain. High fives and chest bumps all around, we split up the bounty like pirates, yaaar!
c) we fork the coin, split up the bounty. set up a new exchange we trade the scamcoin that is on our blockchain until it dies or we vote it up on mintpal/crypsy. we become the scammers lol.
thoughts?
So your plan is to make a self-fulfilling prophesy of every coin. If a coin isn't a scam, you will make it into one. You people are the true scammers!

Once you mint a stake, it comes back to your wallet as a new transaction after 520 confirmations. It's always been like that.
So, just to get this straight, my understanding is this: After the 520 confirmations, the original stake is sent back as a new input that for all practical purposes is treated the same as any other new input. And, by "treated the same", this includes coin age as well as the future potential to be converted to stake. Thanks for your help!

After coins stake and earn interest, is it necessary to manually send these coins back to yourself to restart the aging process, or does that happen automatically?
Automatic Awesome! Is that a feature of the original release, or has it been added since the original release? Many explanations about staking are very confusing in this regard.

How many of you actually hang on to these little copy cat coins for longer than the time it takes to hype them up and then dump them.
1 year? Really?
You are a wanker.

Nice concepts. One MAJOR suggestion is that the download links need to be prominent. This is the best layout for a download bar: http://dogecoin.com/ and is copied by many coins.

That's funny. This coin is practically impossible to mine. If anybody wants to make new blade, go to cryptorush.in and buy some and mint new coin with your stake. This coin is pure Proof of Stake now for all practical purposes. [edit]I should mention that the block chain is healthy. Minting is confirming transactions at the designed rate. Bladeoin is working great.

AIR is one BTC away from crashing BAD
Name one altcoin that isn't.

when can we expect the update? First, I'm working on it several hours per day, since Thursday. The decision was finalized on Tuesday, but I couldn't start right away. For the PoS part of the code I have completed what I call the core "identity" code, which essentially establishes and validates the root of the Merkle tree upon loading the block indices. After that, I need to put in code that can load both PoS blocks and PoW blocks, the latter for backwards compatibility. The same will be done with transactions within the blocks. Then I need to write a little code that makes sure it only generates backwards compatible blocks until the official point of conversion, which is a specific block. Finally, I have a few hours of work on "cosmetics" (strings that say "42" in the Qt gui and command-line client, which is what you use if you are a miner or enter commands in the debug window). I'll post updates here as I hit each milestone. I'm hoping to make some real progress this weekend.

EBT is still well worth mining. The first halving was only a week ago. And hashes are still fairly low, considering that it is now on Poloniex.
EBT preceded MINT and ZEIT as a coin that rapidly transitions from PoW to PoS. It has steadily gotten more attention since day 1. Now is a great chance to mine it while rewards are high.

I see our trolls have disappeared.
I bet that one troll is sad he didn't take me up on my offer of free EBT in exchange for going away. Needless to say, I officially retract the offer.

HOLD When poloniex shutdown, everybody holding) That was some serious volume. Did we crash it? Scheduled maintenance from what I can tell.

Say goodbye to easy mining. It was fun while it lasted.

Don't worry, I was once like you too and believed in some coins. I have since realised there is a lot more money to be made by being pragmatic. After being burned a couple of time you all will learn too.
I can't help myself, trolls bother me alot! "Don't worry, I was once like you too and was civil to some trolls. I have since realized there is a lot more time to be saved by being pragmatic. After being annoyed a couple of times you will all learn too."
