1301  Economy / Economics / Re: Sea Piracy, it's effect on the local economy on: December 13, 2023, 07:13:46 PM
Piracy is illegal act, most countries aren't allow that except the untouchable one. Most people like when it comes to money regardless it's obtained by legal or illegal ways.

Piracy is illegal just like overfishing by breaching maritime boundary and what led to piracy? It's the overfishing in huge vessels which is like robbing the poor fishermen illegally yet no one raise this as hot topic because the victims (Pirates) are from poor African nation wherein the preparator are white collar criminals.

If the country is consider privacy is a crime and anyone who doing or support that will be jailed, it's just a law. The government can't stay or watching their seas for 24/7, so that's why there are many sea piracy not get punishment.

Yes as government cannot monitor or patrol their sea boundary 24/7 that's where these illegal vessels enter their maritime and do the crime of robbing livelihood. First they should be punished.
1302  Economy / Economics / Re: Sea Piracy, it's effect on the local economy on: December 13, 2023, 06:58:36 PM
I have a different view on this issue and I have seen more than dozen of documentaries about the pirates and what led them to piracy. The answer is simple it's the corrupt government who are not capable of defending their maritime, some rich nations who do overfishing in these horn of Africa region leaving literally noting and even killing even the smaller fish as they use huge ships and nets wherein they can easy catch an year's income of thousands of fishermen at one go.

If you destroy their livelihood they are going to come after you and these pirates are mostly fishermen who are forced to do this and no one questions the rich nations who breach the maritime boundary. Since the government in the mentioned nations are corrupt they don't intervene and overfishing happens here as long as government is bribed.

I can keep writing about it but I would like to conclude here by advising everyone to know both sides of story
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Young student teaching his classmates about Bitcoin on: December 13, 2023, 05:48:13 PM
This is heart warming to see a 9 year old is more passionate about Bitcoin and understand it's value and even openly preaching about it, thge takeaway from this to us would be when a 9 year old can do this we can also be more serious about Bitcoin as for me personally I should be doing more than just investing and trading because after going through this topic, I feel good that Bitcoin is been endorsed by future of our generation and at the same time I feel disgust that a kid who was born after I have made my first i9nvestment into Bitcoin has shown more interest in Bitcoin than myself.
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: December 13, 2023, 04:59:09 PM

If you are not a fan of taking a long hold and risking a lot, it's not good timing to invest in a meme asset, especially if the project
also past in his prime, though we can't conclude that there's always a bounce back in terms of this kind of project.

Once the player/whales decide to come back and start doing their stuff to attract the community, it can easily gain interest again. That's the time.
Where you might get your chance to take your profits.

But, not all the time, as most of it gets forgotten and left behind, it will die naturally.

Yes I have similar views towards meme tokens but I don't agree when you say meme coins has anything to do with long hold, it would be a terrible mistake if one is hodling onto to meme then it's the biggest mistake one can make as it's like throwing away our hard earned money. Out of hundred meme coin hardly one will make comeback so I don't relate this to risk taking because it would be more of a blunder than risk taking.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of NFTs have a market cap of zero on: December 13, 2023, 03:28:22 PM
It may flourish ony during bull run as people will be bothered only about profit and not about any logic or where it comes from, people are in for quick profit hence we may see the same scene again but it won't be exactly like what it used to be as many of these NFT related projects are dead.

I don't think there is any harm if our objective is only some quick profits and don't mind taking risk. But it would be a big no form long te and won't make any sense at all to hodl these.
1306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i need your help, i forget to save the latest word of my seed on: December 13, 2023, 08:39:38 AM
Ther is only option left which is suggested by mikewywith if your wallet uses Bitcoin Improvement proposal 39 then give a try for all of them and guess you will be able to get the last word before you end the list of words. Just in case if this wallet doesn't use BIP39 word list then it would be a challenge and only thing is try your best to guess the last word. I know it's not easy since I have similar experience with blockchain wallet where I missed entire seed.
1307  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is next after catching up with the bitcoins bull-runs on: December 12, 2023, 08:50:15 PM
There are two things which cannot be ignored nor skipped. The first one is Bitcoin bull season wherein Bitcoin definitely go bonkers atleast once in every 4 years post halving and we have bear market and sometimes market is sideways between two bull runs. We should be using bear market to accumulate and bull run to sell. Some will say hodl for long but there was a time when Bitcoin was much more lesser and this rule applies only to them now you cannot enter market during peak and hodl because it would take years if it starts falling apart.

My strategy would be enter during bear market and then hodl till bull run to sell off.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who do we feel biased about in bridging the potential outputs of Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2023, 07:38:39 PM
You need to understand couple of things, first of all Bitcoin was created as a P2P transfer without involvement of any third party and it was never intended to compete with fit and Bitcoin was also not launched as an investment scheme which newbie and even old users failed to understand and in their mind they just think Bitcoin as an investment medium or get rich quick ponzi and I think you are one of them since you have mentioned things like taking over economy and all.

Altcoin though they follow the foot steps of Bitcoin but they have different purposes apart from being an P2P transfer medium.
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: December 12, 2023, 07:01:32 PM
Frankly, I personally really like buying coins with low capitalization, such as meme coins, of course those which have good potential, such as shit and doge. When the bull run arrives and all the coins have experienced an increase, that's when I will release the coins I hold, because of the goal. I invest to make a profit, and I will not keep coins that have actually given me a profit, after I sell them I will buy them again when the price drops again, or at least buy other potential coins,

This may work for very few coins but not for all as it's very risky because not only you but most of the users thinks that if they hodl low cap coins they have greater chances of getting crazy profits during bull run but it's a myth. What you have mentioned on the lines of selling the coins when it gives you profit and buying it again when price drops that's a trap and I am 100% sure you have not done that because once price drops for these low cap coins it never crosses previous ATH and only one out of blue moon it happens for a very brief period of time.
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: December 12, 2023, 05:56:48 PM
There are large number of altcoins these days through holding which you can get profitable results and now solana again pump up so people are move involved in solana investment. In 2022 not only solana and ethereum was down but whole cryptocurrency was down because of unfavorable news and occurrence of dip in Bitcoin's value.

If they did not sell their coins that time and wait little bit more then they will not be in loss but they get scared that market will completely collapsed therefore they don't think about their loss but sell coins with lower cost. Solana, Ethereum and bitcoin are all profitable coins but now its upto a holder that how he treat these coins and what type of strategies he is using as well as his profit depends on how much patience he has.

Hodling during the bear market is the most difficult thing and those who are prepared and does hodl on during bear market are real winners. But it doesn't mean that you can take entry anytime and I know people are heaping praise for solana but people who would have bought Solana in November 2021 at the ATH value of $259 and still hodling they will have just 1/4th of the capital amount in their wallet right now. Indeed we shouldn't panic sell but we shouldn't but due to FOMO as it casue more damage than panic sell.
1311  Economy / Economics / Re: I need financial advice for my careless uncle. on: December 12, 2023, 05:22:25 PM
He needs to set his priorities right and needs a disciplined life, but it's bit difficult to make a person change their habit when they are so used to it and not learning from mistakes. The only way is to set up some financial plans wherein he has to route a percentage of his income towards investment and savings like monthly SIP and RD which he should be remained everytime.

I think with this $5k he can do a lot of things to have a passive income but will not be enough to run his family with passive income. He could stake this into crypto (Bitcoin) for longer period of time so that his asset is safe and he cannot blow it off like he does with money even if he changes his mind and when the staking period is over he will have asset, interest and also more return on investment if crypto market performs well which is most likely going to happen in 2024. Especially Bitcoin.
1312  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold is up to new ATH, silver is up, BITCOIN IS BACK BABY!!! on: December 12, 2023, 12:10:00 PM
Everyone is already prepared, 2024 will be the long-awaited year for Bitcoin to reach the highest ATH ever, but as for global adoption I think it is still early days and we are still immature.

Many expectations for the new year, which I hope will be full of pleasant surprises and will not bring us bad news, especially regarding the possibility of a third world war. I hope that world leaders will be wiser to avoid this catastrophic war.

True, It's bit different this time as I have come across so many people who have already accumulated good amount of Bitcoin to get benefitted by the post halving bull run and some of us including myself are already more than 100% returns on our capital compared to where we were earlier and as market gets more wise there is an expectation that people will not react the same way they did in the past for fluctuations we may see before the bullrun.
1313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see repeat of 2017 or new trend? on: December 12, 2023, 08:56:57 AM
2017 was different. It was a bullish year because it was the year that immediately followed the halving year. The full effect of the halving which happened in July 2016 was fully priced in in 2017.

This year 2023 is different because we are not anticipating the effect of any halving. We are approaching the halving. So I don't think that what happened in December of 2017 would be repeated in this December. The circumstances are different.

But I also don't think there will be a strong correction. The Bitcoin spot ETF is a big factor. Also there are others who are not yet done accumulating in preparation for the halving next year.

Basically your point of view on this suggests that the growth we have seen in last one month or so is organic apart from the push we got due to Bitcoin spot ETF since we didn't have halving before this pump unlike 2017 and yes I am aligned that there won't be much of a correction. But rather we are going through accumulation phase and people should have already accumulated Bitcoin if they haven't they are already left behind (not trying to create FOMO but the fact).
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Solana tokens? Are they worth it? on: December 12, 2023, 07:03:11 AM
As far a my understanding goes any coin listed on Binance are better than other newly launched coins and it will surely go long term. But we need to consider this is bull run and even shot coins can perform well. I think we can give a try during bullrun and test it out during the correction phase. Even though I have mentioned that the coins listed on Binance are better than others and can go longer run but if we look at the darker side I mean those coins which has been delisted by Binance for example Nebilo, etc you will see they just liquidated millions of dollars of investors so it would be better to focus more on what the project has to offer instead of just exchange or ecosystem ots build in.
1315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: P2P Dusting Attack And How Not to Become a Victim on: December 11, 2023, 07:57:18 PM
I appreciate your time and effort educating the community on this dusting attack. there are various other techniques which is used by scammers but as you mentioned we shouldn't touch or be bothered to do anything with the tokens which reflects in our wallet which doesn't belong to us and never ever click on any suspicious link or don't connect your wallet with any other sites where you are redirected.

Nothing comes free in this world hence anyone claiming to offer you anything for free is a possible scam. I would blame victims rather than the scammers here for believing that they can warn money without any effort.
1316  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politicians who accept ₿? on: December 11, 2023, 06:36:49 PM
Politician has no0thing to do with crypto or Bitcoin and they can even accept donation in terms of barter system as well. All they care is money and to stay rich so it doesn't matter to them form where the money comes from and they know that Bitcoin can give them profit if they hodl it and thus it's a win-win situation for them.

We cannot consider this as a positive sign because almost everyone, let it be p*** site or any NGO or any random YouTuber/Content creator they all accept Bitcoin.
1317  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Things to keep in mind Before Bull Run. on: December 11, 2023, 05:19:53 PM
Diversification:
Well, hehe seems like I covered some of this part in risk management hmm that’s fine.  If you are going to put your big capital on a single promising cryptocurrency, I would say that’s not good decision, for that diversification helps to reduce your investment risk. Spread your net investments across different projects to reduce the impact of any single coin's poor performance in your portfolio. Always keep in mind that BitcoinBTC should be your first priority in Bull run.
If only bitcoin is invested on, there will not be a poor performance most likely. But some altcoins are volatile and some may likely give you more profit. If you are lucky that the altcoins invested on increased in price, do not think two times to convert it to bitcoin or fiat because their dump is not going to be easy.

True, we see this every now and then wherein Altcoins will be on rally and people tend to be more greedy that they forget to apply stop loses or just thinks that it won't collapse in a moment but it does happens and I remember making similar mistake with a token named CHZ which pumped multi fold and I got greedy and didn't withdraw or convert it BTC or USDT and though I had stop loss applied by the time it can kick in the coin fell by leaps and bounces and left me with around half the amount of capital which I had started.
1318  Economy / Economics / Re: We need higher wages off course but goverment need to do one thing on: December 11, 2023, 03:02:44 PM
This sounds good but not possible unless there are privatization and just to give you example the gas and electricity prices in UK which is a classic example of capitalism. We can never trust private players as government cannot control them or their prices and wages are something which government can set laws around this.

Government can cannot control price of private player in terms of any products like consumables and ration but it can start it's own food manufacturing units and provide them at subsidized or reasonable rates like it used to happen in some of the middles east nations but with certain norms to avoid making their citizens lazier.
1319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bear Market over? on: December 11, 2023, 02:04:13 PM

Bitcoin fluctuations cannot be fully predicted.
This depends on how Bitcoin trends and is also influenced by fundamentals that sometimes put pressure on Bitcoin.

There are several FUD and News appearing simultaneously, making the price unstable.
But it is clear that Bitcoin going forward is quite positive and clear, because the halving is about to happen.

This encourages new investors and existing investors to start re-entering and securing their positions.
2024-2025 will be quite anticipated years, because there are various kinds of speculations that Bitcoin began to Bull Run and will reach a new ATH,
now is the beginning to reach the highest price of Bitcoin.

Trading does look difficult, but as a good enough option, being a Holder is probably the best option for those who will hold back long term.
Holding only requires patience and determines the price target to be achieved.

Just a drop of 4% and we have already seen fuds which is nothing new for us and moreover we might see similar fluctuations more often before the halving and more newbies or naive investors selling off which might have very little impact as it might change the market equilibrium between supply and demand. Indeed patience is the most important aspect of we have to survive in crypto world and so many losers end up as losers because of their impatience which let's to buying due to FOMO and selling off due to Fuds.

But honestly this has been the period of the year for Bitcoin and some other altcoins a well and this would definitely pool in more investors and they should understand how crypto works else end up making same mistake of going by emotions.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risk and reward of having Bitcoin on: December 11, 2023, 08:19:33 AM
Hey we need to consider on simple thing that without any volatility there cannot be any profit and if someone wants to earn profit without volatility they need to get into traditional investments like real gold but gold's slow growth rate cannot beat inflation and one will still be behind when it comes to finances and Bitcoin has its own pros and cons like we cannot retract a wrong transaction a these are human errors and I would say Bitcoin may be volatile for non crypto users but for someone familiar to Crypto knows that it's the most reliable asset one can have.

The only real disadvantage I feel is the exorbitant transaction fees which we see during network congestion or bull run it's something which creates hurdle when we want to make some transaction on urgent basis and you realise transaction fees are more or equal to the value you wanna transfer.
