I will join other members here  to welcome you. My first observation is that you are not active which is not a problem as you just got registered and with time I believe you will take the forum serious by contributing to her growth. I know members must have given you many clues on how to survive here on this platform. As we all know, this platform is a big one which would accommodate all with different perspective and view.

OP I will just join in giving you this advise or whatever you deem fit to call it. The issue of plagiarism is a major problem with newbies which you are not exempted. I know as a newbie you would want to talk about happenings around the world as it relates to Bitcoin but if you must bring any of such here, you must do well to get your source as well because that serves as your reference from wherever you got the information from as this platform frowns at plagiarism.

Do well to also locate your local board here because through your local board, you can grow well and communicate with your locals on the same level of understanding since you speak same local language. There you can flow very well with everyone including high rank members here who are open to their locals in assisting them grow up.
1302  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚠️ Warning: Bons.com - Disturbing Practices, Unfair Fees & Manipulated Reviews on: September 01, 2023, 08:12:32 PM
I can also share my terrible experience with this site.I used sportsbook and I was limited  while playing with bonus so I had to complete rollover while placing hundreds of bets with 1-2 euro bets. Then when i tried withdrawalit was one of the worst verification processes I ever had. They asked for selfie after selfie.I sent them more than 10 selfies from different angles, in front of computer with my profile , also with notes of todays date. Then they asked for Skype verification and finally even asked for source of wealth, which was again completely unnecessary since my deposit was only 100 euros.
Do not register and play here - also in tedbet.com which is the same as bons

So sorry about your experience. It is a pity that newbies keep falling for virtually all these unknown casino without conducting due diligence on them. They give mouth watering bonuses that are unrealistic just to get at unsuspecting audience who have no idea of their gimmicks.

They are good at tricking people to get registered with them and then they make them deposit and play and when it is time to withdraw from the wins, they start their drama of KYC and others excuses just to trap their members down and after a long battle with KYC they start telling you stories and block your account with them. These are the stories such casino play to but anyways it is nice you mentioned them here. If you can, create a thread for your own experience at to he reputation or scam accusations board with evidence that members could see it and possibly of possible act on it for you but the chances would be minimal to get at them but you have already created awareness here about the casino.

Aboy this your post na big article o. I come dey wonder how I want to take read am to the end but anyways, to he first paragraph wey I read don dey enough for me to understand wetin you dey talk already together with the topic of this thread.

1304  Economy / Reputation / Re: I need help the adivce regards my loan service here on: September 01, 2023, 07:20:14 PM
OP does not seem serious about his lending business here. I had to check OP profile for myself after reading through all the replies and comments and the tags gotten by OP seems realistic and speaks more of OP and his activities here.

I could tell OP did not do his or her findings before coming here to put up loan business. Come to talk of it, OP has no reputation here and nobody would make such mistake of getting engaged with OP for loan or whatever. All I could advise OP is to take time to work on making more valuable contribution rather than trolling the platform with loan business proposals.
1305  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM Alert] Okbet.com frozen on: September 01, 2023, 06:07:36 PM
I have checked and I can not see anything about this casino presence here. It is unfortunate that you have to go through this experience but you said you saw some red flags for which could be a potential warning for you not to engage any further but you ignored it and here is the end result of it all. I am even surprised reading through Just to discover that they are not popular in their own country of origin which should have been a big turnoff for you. If you had visited any of the review sites, at least you could have been able to take a good decision for yourself though but you can forgo the buck as it should not bother you alot.
Sharing your experience with them could help save other members from falling victim of these casinos.
1306  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [scam] Yas.bet refusing withdrawal after verification on: September 01, 2023, 05:55:30 PM
OP I was made to understand that most of casinos have a third party affiliation with KYC verification company so in that case, most verification takes long time before they would be able to respond to you with respect to your verification. Just as you said that someone waited for three months here that is likely a truth because that is how it works but my own annoyance with these casinos doing such is that they should be able to inform their clients to know why the delay and possibly give them time interval or ETA so they do not feel neglected by the casino.

This has always been the issue with casino though but a form of courtesy by them would make more meaning than to keep clients to be waiting without any remorse from them. OP all I could tell you is to be patient with them since they have told you your verification is processing then give them time to finish up with it.

Senior man, I dey feel your cappings but me walai I no think am to dey run dorm account with Nigeria banks. The day you try am Na the day you go begin get issues with bank. OP I see you are trying to do some sort of publicity yourself here but I think you should know that things do not work that way. You know there are lots of big names present here for you to contend with for popularity and traffic otherwise nobody would know if you really exist.

You have a good casino but it would be nice you give in  more effort for publication. Not just publication but a good and reputable manager can do that for you while setting up a campaign for your casino.

1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: September 01, 2023, 04:56:39 PM
<snip>
I think the first driving factor is being disciplined, taking a firm decision and standing by it. I've actually read through some responses and I saw something like cutting off internet connection, blocking gambling sites on phones/laptops and all that. This might actually work or just a temporary solution. Why? Because we've friends, brothers, colleagues and coworkers that are into gambling and sometimes they tell us about their winnings and we might be tempted. I have been there, though I wouldn't call myself an addict. At work your colleagues talks about their winnings, at home your siblings or friends do the same thing. If you're not disciplined enough, you might find yourself going back to your old habit.
Blocking gambling sites is the better solution.
Turning off the internet is a big problem, especially in this era where everything moves either on social media or Google. Like me, I always forget some things today but Google has always been the answer for that. Definitions, synonyms, and more.
I don't turn off my internet even though I see my kids being naughty about it. It's the discipline that will matter. If a gambler knows his limit then that's it. Stop at the time when there are no more funds left, and give up the test of chasing the losses because that will just lead to more losses.
Last week, I lost all my funds for gambling playtime, and yet I am not that eager to gamble more or deposit just to play. If the budget is done, then I am gone. Will play again if there's spare money on my salary.

You are correct mate. Blocking or restricting casino sites on your device is quite alright as that would not allow any further pop up or attempt to browse any casino site on your device. It is not in any way advisable to turn off your internet  because you will have other activities that would require internet connection as it  would not be reasonable you block yourself off internet. What it takes is discipline.
Off lately on the gambling board a member was complained that he wrote to his casino which he often use as a result of his addiction instructing them to close his account forgetting to withdraw his funds on the account and after sometime, he wrote again to the same casino to open his account so he could withdraw his funds but the casino objected to his plea and asked him to write to their team to further discuss the issue  as relates to his account reopening. This is where discipline comes into play. He wrote to the casino to help close his account as a result of addiction which is a good one but after sometime he still wrote them again to reopen the same account he asked them to close to curtail his addiction but he wasn't discipline enough to control himself that is where the problem is.
Self discipline matters alot when taking decision as it regards issues of this nature.
1310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Still confused about this on: September 01, 2023, 03:43:51 PM
Is it a must for all bitcointalkers to post on their local boars?
Posting on local boards shows your real identity and on local board one can easily flow with the discussions over there, since the most popular countries have their own local boards and people on bitcointalk.org posts on the board but I am wondering if is a must for evey bitcointalkers to post on their local boards, maybe for one reason or the other.
OP I think it is not a must neither is their a policy that compels everyone to post on their local board even the campaigns do not compel anyone to do so but as a registered member here I think it is necessary one identifies with their local board because I believe no man is an island and a tree can not make up a forest so it would be in one's best interest to do so because at your local board, you can interact freely with your people. There are avenues and opportunities where you can learn things there as that is the least place one can be free to discuss in their local language and possibly you could meet with high rank member to guide you through as you stay here.

I want to ask you, have any one here asked you before to do a KYC for your local board? If no why are talking about privacy when it comes to local board. You are free to make known your identity on your local board if you feel like as the decision is yours wether to do or not.
1311  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why Bitcoin Dey Come Down? on: September 01, 2023, 03:25:13 PM
OP I believe say many factors dey cause as e be like this. Unto say halving na next year,  I believe say there is uncertain about the Bitcoin price but however, there are also some people strategically manipulating the market I believe they are taking advantage of the market situations as well selling to drop the price then they buy back and hold till after the halving as usual and expected bull run does come then they start selling to take profit. This happens all the time and in a way people would not understand how it works.

This is the reason I don't listen to fud anymore because that is also a strategy by them to confuse people who are weak hands and they end up selling low and the whales buy them all at low prices and hold them to take big profit.

Di drop really panic me, unto say me na new person for bitcoin matter. I just hold small bitcoin for my wallet as I just de learn about di market speculation. From time to time e go just appreciate, di thing just de sweet me, before I know di btc just start to de deprecate for my wallet, now e de lower dan wen I get am. I even fear say make I no wake up one day see say di wallet don empty.

I agree with your explanation, Helving dey around di corner and di whales dem fit to manipulate di market by selling dem bitcoin, wey fit likely cause dis price dump, so people go panic and sell dem bitcoin, wen di price come down finish dem go come de buy am back. So di best thing wey person fit to do now na to hold im bitcoin, till bull run, wey im go sell and make profit. I also agree with members wey say now na di best time to buy bitcoin.

Actually, e don be like tradition wey be say anytime wey halving dey around the corner, price fluctuations dey strong very well because people go dey manipulate the market very much to see how people go take rush sell their Bitcoin at give away price make dem buy all then after the halving, the price go come sky rocket very high pass the initial and in some cases e dey high pass the last all time high wey Bitcoin don reach before.

Make you no fear about the up and down of the Bitcoin price I know say as Na newbie wey you be for the system, the price fluctuations go fear you because the price wey you buy the Bitcoin don diminish but as a long term holder wey you be, you no need to panic because e g ok bounce back to normal and do much better than the previous price. Na so the market be.
1312  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some poker terminologies you may want to know on: September 01, 2023, 03:00:13 PM
A good initiative by you OP. This will help people know some useful terms when they hear it and moreover one can make him or herself familiar with it early enough to not be taken unawares when such is mentioned to their hearing.

Terminology matters in every field of life so getting acquainted with it would help ease some stress of communication and make one fast in adapting to the system in which they find themselves. You have done well OP and I will suggest you keep updating the list as time goes on because I believe there are more that are not yet on the list.
Op had really done well and those that want to learn some of these terminologies will not have go and search on the internet for all these words again for them to learn unless if they want to proceed to learn more of them. I have long ago trying to learn more about poker and I think going through this thread remind me that I still have something to learn about without trying to be procrastinate. Poker is a nice game and I hope to get into it in less than no time.

Yeah like using these terms real time would make you sound like a professional poker player. You no longer be judge as a beginner in the table. Ypu won't get intinidated by other players easily because youao somehow know the terminologies.

But regardless of how many terminologies you know, if you don't have the strategy playing and the consistency applying it, you still gonna lose playing poker.

Absolutely, it is good one knows more about what ever they get  themselves involved in not to talk of when it has to do with something that has some technical actions. Sometimes these terminologies are otherwise called professional jagons which are names professionally given to some certain acts or arts. Actually it also gives beauty and uniqueness to some professions and makes it more attractive too and same is applicable to games too.  Sometimes it is good to communicate professionally when it comes to privacy and discretion as not to allow the third party to not understand your conversations.

Lastly, having a strategy is a good game benefit for you because with your strategy, you could be able to win your opponent or possibly have a draw with them.  On a normal before one gets engaged in games, you must have had a well planned strategy for your opponent to defend yourself while playing with them. This would give you a good play ground.
Jargon and nonsense are a delicious combination, aren't they? You may find terms to be elegant, but I find them to be a bit... overdone, a charade for the uninitiated. Do you mean games? They do have some subtleties, but let's not exalt them too much. However, strategy is the real jewel here. But it appears that your interpretation is only the top of the iceberg. Defense? Simple games. The skill of mastering strategy includes offensive play, deceit, and manipulation in addition to defense

Your digression on privacy was a real wild card when it came to lying. It confused me, similar to a poker bluff. However, aren't surprises and the unexpected the main components of games and bets? Nevertheless, it would be helpful to keep in mind that, even while addressing the mysterious, clarity is a virtue

Of course jargons and nonsense are the beauty of every professional engagement coupled with the strategies used in the line of actions to achieve optimum performance.  Being a player requires you having if not all tips just a few of them can be okay to sustain you which is very important when you are amongst players of similar fate so as not to hear them as Latin and confusing  although the words sounds totally strange to people who are not in the line as they would be seen as novice in the system but you should have a good game strategy by far stronger and better to hold unto while playing your games because your strategy when put in play can help you scale through successfully or ties with your opponent while playing. I think it doesn't sound a bit strange though.
1313  Economy / Gambling / Re: 999LUCKYDICE GAMBLING SINCE on: September 01, 2023, 10:46:46 AM
Hey everyone,

999LUCKYDICE.COM - A New Embodiment of Fair Gaming for 999dice Players!

We proudly introduce to you 999LUCKYDICE, the evolution of our previous website, 999dice. This new portal offers a unique experience in the world of online gambling, combining innovative games and unparalleled fairness.

The site is only a week old based on their Whois https://www.whois.com/whois/999luckydice.com

Domain:999luckydice.com
Registrar:Gransy, s.r.o.
Registered On:2023-08-23
Expires On:2024-08-23
Updated On:2023-08-29

But they already claimed they have 682 471/PLAYERS this is unrealistic, if they are including the stat of their old site then they should state it but I cannot find any information that their stats is from their old site there's no mention of the old site in their homepage.

They are deceiving the gambling community and its not good showing a false information just to promote the platform.

This baffles me and increased my curiosity about the casino in question. A casino that is just a week old has amassed such followership with such number of registered members and already raking in millions of dollars as revenue. I was wondering how they did that without any promotional content, publicity and advertisement here. I checked and I can't see any campaign attached to their name here but what I could see from the link provided here is a casino similar in name which announcement thread was created 2013 with last activity 2014. While this casino was created just a week ago.

So far from the comments and replies I have read here, is there any difference between this casino and the former? Because I see what happened before is about repeating itself if there is any relationship between them otherwise, the OP should come up plane and tell us or dissociate this casino from the other because the names looks similar. Maybe this could be of help because there is already an existing stigma on the previous casino with this name years back.

Lastly, I checked for live online customer care service but I couldn't find any but rather it was a live stream Chat of members I could see and to access it, you must be registered first before doing anything else. Live customer care service should be made a priority for prospective clients in knowing more about your casino and services rendered.
1314  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚠️ Warning: Bons.com - Disturbing Practices, Unfair Fees & Manipulated Reviews on: September 01, 2023, 10:05:09 AM
OP I have read all you have said and I see you say have been a follower of this platform for so long but you registered here on the 29th of August 2023 and you made this post the following day and it made me wonder why you have been aware of this platform for long as you have said and have not done anything here or is this an alt account of yours to hide your identity?

I think this is not the right board for this as it has to do with reputation of a casino. So therefore it would be nice you move it to reputation board

Reviews are sometimes being manipulated by organisation's. They pay for fake reviews and also to remove reviews pointing out their lapses as well. The best form of review is a personal experience about the process. If you get involved in engagement with them that would give you more clues on who they really are so as to be cautious while dealing with them.

Nevertheless, the casino you mentioned is not popular and I think their presence is not recognised here. So I would advise you to try making use of reputable casino here so that if any issues arises in the future, it can be handled easily without any much problems of protocols.

With respect to KYC, OP should know that this is what virtually all casinos and exchange does. They demand for it based on the existing laws of wherever they are operating from and in that case would not want to default so as not to fall out with the government of their jurisdiction. So in that case, OP KYC is not a new thing neither is it an issue although it is actually against the real decentralisation goal but it is ones decision to choose if to do KYC or not.

Your experience as a first timer is what makes them call crypto names. These are the reasons why people fall victim of scammers and scams and after everything and their first time experience they put the blame on Bitcoin and crypto to be scam while they had forgot to do their own research before engaging. You said you have known this platform for long at least you should have checked for reputable casinos here and make your choice before dealing rather than going after an unknown one.

However, it is nice you are sharing your experience you encountered with this casino so that other members would see it and take caution or possibly do away with them. Your experience is worth learning from OP.

Thanks for sharing.
1315  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit.com + Pragmatic Blackjack Scammed Me on: August 31, 2023, 10:08:26 PM
OP it is nice you brought this complaint to this platform for scrutiny but I think it would be better you move it to the appropriate board for further discussions. You can move it here.

From what I could see and from your explanations, It could possibly be a glitch and I would suggest as others have done to asking you to give the casino time to carry out their investigation if possibly they as are on it, they would respond to you appropriately. I will implore you to exercise patience with them and do well to send them a reminder and if they Fail to respond then possibly a reputable member here could come into play to assist you. It would be nice you chat up their representative here as well to enquire from him or her about your complaints. I believe this could give you a little push to you gaining their attention.
1316  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Binance intend to stop Busd on 2024 on: August 31, 2023, 09:12:52 PM
I am sure binance would have sent customers mails by now to preinform all registered members on their platform likewise paxos too could have made this public to inform the general public about the development going on. Maybe they choose to remain silent over it. I think This update might be true but they would only be when the organisations in question makes it public for all to know of to he unfolding development and their plans in the nearest future with respect to the agreement binding both parties.
I am anticipating a mail from binance to ascertain the originality of this news because most times they are right as Such organisations are having something in common but what the news outlets most times report is quite different from what really happened. Till the official binance and paxos makes a statement, all these are mere fiction.
1317  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Coping with the country's economic situation on: August 31, 2023, 09:00:55 PM
OP all you have said is not far from the truth. The current situation of the country and economy requires one to be more economical with their expenses. It is not funny anymore that the inflation rate is getting high every day with no policies at hand to cushion the effects.

The listed points which you have mentioned all must be taken into Cognisance. One must have financial intelligence and likewise financial security at the moment to avoid careless expenses and money loss or theft. The street is very rough though and cold these days. Everybody wants to take advantage of every little opportunity encountered to milk dry anybody wey falls mugu.
1318  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Report quality posts on: August 31, 2023, 08:45:12 PM
This is a good initiative by hugeblack. I think many people would find this thread of his very much deserving because so far there have been lots of application by local board reputable members In becoming a merit source as their various local boards are lacking merits as most of them do not comment on global thread where some merit sources do more activities than the local board.

Just like us here, we lack merit Source and with this initiative most locals that  are lacking in merit would be encouraged to do more because they would start seeing the results of their efforts here through this little medium created by hugeblack pending when we get our merit source approval from Theymos.

In as much as we are trying to play safe, we as well want to do away with much stress of always wanting to type in password evey now and then before accessing our portal. I know it is much risky and requires extra caution to do but I see it more flexible and as a matter of fact, I do use the the auto save function but not for all accounts. My exchange accounts uses 2fa no auto safe as I do insert the password myself. Online accounts are all different passwords written down separately. I had to do away with anything cloud ever since my experience years back.

To be on the safe side, if you are using Google cloud to save your password,Ake sure that google account is well protected by a strong sophisticated password that could hardly be memorised. If you can hardly put up with the password, it would be nice you save it separately so you could get hold of it if you are having issues logging in that particular Google account to access the auto fill password option.
