So, please I will advise you to hurry up and add this link above as the source where you got your information from to your thread.

Thank you for making that point noted to the OP, funny enough this is his first post in the forum, though he might not be aware of some of the forum rules, he should make the needed changes in the thread.

1304  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: May 15, 2023, 07:20:37 PM
Experience they say, is never out of fashion. It is important to always tap from the wealth of knowledge of the elderly, because over the years they've had so much techniques and expertise while working for a certain organisation.
In the field experience for instance, a newly recruited police officer might not be well baked on how to file a case for prosecution  for a court hearing, at this point, it will take an experience police prosecutor to properly guide the new officer on how to appropriately go about the filing of the case for hearing.
So you see that In this case, experience has played a great role.

But a lot of people will argue that, the younger ones are not getting jobs, why are you increasing the service years of those that already gotten jobs, so there is always a two side argument whenever this topics is raised.
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 07, 2023, 06:56:55 PM
Arsenal again proved their strength at home to the opponent and it seems that Newcastle must be willing to swallow defeat at home with a score of 0-2. Maybe not a few have expected that Newcastle will beat Arsenal in this match, but it seems that their assumption was wrong and it seems that Arsenal can do a good job.
Correct. Arsenal did their job well at home to Newcastle United. Arsenal were very optimistic about getting a win even though they had lowered their spirits after an incident in the penalty box in the first half which forced referee Crhis Kavanagh to look at VAR. Luckily the VAR showed that Jakub Kiwior did not commit a handsball violation.

I also think that Arsenal will have difficulty against Newcastle, Arsenal could even lose because The Magpies want their 3rd position in the standings.
But the 0-2 result for Arsenal's victory was secured by the Gunners and brought positive news for Manchester United who will face West Ham United.

West Ham United vs Manchester United will kick off.
We hope the Red Devils win in this fight.
The handball incident made me surprised and wondered if Arsenal would lose the match, but it seems that the decision of the VAR and the referee was correct, it made Arsenal excited again and carried out a wider attack. The goal scored by Martin Odegaard was also impressive, he scored it outside the box and the ball went towards the right side of the goal where the opposing goalkeeper was unable to reach it.

Indeed, Arsenal's victory brought positive news for Manchester United, who are currently playing against West Ham, but it seems that the Red Devils are having a hard time and have to be willing to concede first in the 27th minute. The first half of the match is almost over and I think Erik ten hag must provide a new strategy for the players to turn things around in the second half later.

Arsenal really showed a great level of professionalism in that game, at the beginning I thought Newcastle will pull some surprise especially when Saint-Maximin was introduced into the game, though they struggled but arsenal still pulled it through.
1306  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the call for anti-monarchy system really necessary . on: May 07, 2023, 03:22:19 PM
I have always desired to live in a country where there is freedom of speech and expression and Britain is such a kind of society. I have lived a comfortable life in my country but disrespect for fundamental human rights has been my major reason for desiring to migrate. I was pleased that these protesters were not manhandled or beaten by the police and I am sure that they have been released from detention by now. You cannot find such respect in my fatherland.

These protesters want the monarchy to be scrapped for the following reason:

1. The royal family or system is expensive to maintain: In 2022 it is believed that they cost taxpayers £86m. The cost of Queen Elizabeth's funeral has not been published but It was also reported that the Queen Mothers's burial in 2002 cost the UK about $5 million. The protesters feel that this money can be channeled to other important sectors.

2. Exemption from tax: The Royal family is one of the richest in the world yet they enjoy exemption. They can just decide to pay voluntary tax if they wish.

3. Outdated: Some of these protesters believe that the monarchical system has no place in modern society.

4. Corruption: The royal family was seen as a standard for morality and good behavior. But recently we have seen corrupt and immoral behavior exhibited by top members of the royal family.

1. Those protesters should understand that, the royal family has been in existence long before now, asking them to start paying tax in system that was made possible through their effort and historical wealth of ownership, is something not tangible.

2. It is been said that, if you know your history, then you will know where your coming from,  how do you establish a modern society without a historical background, you can only build on the existing social history and make some modifications, which the family has been doing, they are not directly involved in politics of the parliament.

3. Talking about corruption, I don't have a concrete knowledge about the royal family being corrupt, and as such I cannot make any category statement about it.
1307  Other / Politics & Society / Is the call for anti-monarchy system really necessary . on: May 07, 2023, 01:07:39 PM
I was going through the events of the KING 👑 OF ENGLAND CORONATION AND THE ENGLISH RITUALS THAT COMES WITH IT, then I noticed a group of people protesting against the age long practice of the English monarchy system.
Ordinarily is something that I would have just taken note of and move on without giving it a second thought, but something kept ringing in my head about the fact that, this protest is really uncalled-for.

Our today's society, give much credence to civilization, wokeness and liberalism, which have made a lot of people to look down on aged long traditional  and cultural values we've inherited from our forebears.

I remember the story of the Ethiopian monarch his imperial majesty Haile Selassie👑  the King of kings (as referred to by some), the head of state, the head of the government with all the legislative and executive powers all in his hand, Haile Selassie was literally worshipped.
But today if you go to Ethiopia, that system is no longer in practice, because that system has been abolished and laws have been made to suit the current social formation.
Though British government today, runs a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary system of government, which allows citizens to vote for whoever that will represent them at the parliament.

So far. The citizens have enjoyed the benefits of a first class world country, so to say,  and they are among the best country in the world a lot of people wish to visit or migrate to, all this was made possible as result of this age long monarchical system that has rich ancestral heritage working side by side with the parliamentary system.

Was eNaira not created with the use of blockchain technology? They said it was.

If this does not mean the legalization of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin in Nigeria, that means I do not know the need for this approval of what has been approved with CBN using it to create eNaira.

I think it has nothing to do with cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

Policy document should go online soon. Stay tuned.
This is what is mostly important for us to read. I mean we need to read the policy document.

Before now, the government weren't ready to discuss anything concerning Blockchain technology, I think these are stepping stone for the ban on crypto to be lifted, because you cannot talk about Blockchain technology without inculcating crypto into the system.
1309  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / FEC APPROVES THE USE OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN NIGERIA on: May 03, 2023, 03:43:23 PM
The federal executive council has approved the use of Blockchain technology in Nigeria.
This is another plus for the crypto currency in the country, as companies can now develop various means of its usage for it's framework.
A committee has also been set up to oversee the implementation of the new national policy on Blockchain technology.
This one na good thing for we country oh, this one go help us develop our local based knowledge on Blockchain technology.
My people how Una see am?

1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 30, 2023, 08:35:42 AM
Fulham's winning odd looks like very high now. Of course Manchester City are highly favourite side but I don't know. Fulham aren't the worst team in the league and they are playing home as well. Maybe they deserve a little lower odd than this. However honestly I don't expect Manchester City to make any point loss in this game. They have captured a huge advantage by beating Arsenal the last time.

It is time for pushing it to the limit and taking the lead from them as well. Most probably it would be a temporary lead for Manchester City on this week though. Because I think that Arsenal will put an end to this bad streak by beating Chelsea which are in a terrible shape.

Manchester City is beating anyone in their way in every competition and no matter how good Fulham maybe lately, they are going to lose,I doubt Manchester City is on for other surprise results as they made quite a lot of them in the beginning of the season.Fulham are in a good moment but that good moment is only for mid level teams in the Premier League, they cannot withstand Manchester City in today game.

Arsenal no matter if they win or not which I think they will win the problem for them is Manchester City has 2 games less which can make anything Arsenal does void if City win such games.

I've looked at the both formations for both teams and I can tell you that we are in for an engaging match between Fulham and Manchester city.
Looking at the formation for Fulham side 4231 as against city's  3241, Fulham came up with a tactical defence and attack formation while city looks more like an attacking team with  more on the midfield. This shows that Fulham is ready to defend and also give some level of attack,The city team is topnotch no doubt but Fulham might just pull up a surprise as an underdog.
1311  Economy / Economics / Re: My predictions for next decades world economics on: April 30, 2023, 08:13:03 AM
First your a newbie, your story is without concrete reference, just mere predictions without back ups, so as such I won't give you much credence. There isn't going to be any world war 3, because it's just a figment of some people's imagination.
In an economy, inflation is a normal thing, currently countries in the world are witnessing inflation and other food crisis which is normal.
1312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin continue to safe life in the face of financial crisis on: April 30, 2023, 07:52:55 AM
Your suggestion was good, but I'm a bit worried about the usage of bitcoin in the desert, Because at this point they need fiat currency to easily engage with whoever they might met to help them to a safe destination.
And how possible will it be to have internet service in the desert before you even engage in P2P, because this is a warring situation and everybody scampering for safety.
1313  Economy / Economics / Re: Social Ranking System in China on: April 28, 2023, 10:23:02 AM
The social Ranking system to me it's just not necessary I believe there are laws in the system that has appropriate punishment for the law breakers.
Bringing up a social Ranking system when there are existing laws tends to bothering the citizenry with too much policing and overbearing social structure, because from the article you can see millions of people that have in one way or the other offended this society Ranking system(that alone should be a negative feedback). We are humanes and as such we should be be living freely under the ambit of the law.
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 27, 2023, 07:45:38 AM
The quality of the players and mentality can be felt in this game. Everyone knows that Arsenal are very superior this season, but their strength has not been able to undermine Man City's dominance.
Arsenal played very well in other matches so they were able to enter the title race, but it must be admitted that Man City is still far above Arsenal. In this match, Arsenal were actually pressured by Man City players. In this match, the quality factor of the players cannot lie and the saddest thing is to see Arsenal attract Odegaard, Saka and Jesus, but the brides are Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith-Rowe and Reiss Nelson. while Man City attracted Jack Grealish, ilkay Gundogan and De Bruyne to replace Mahrez, Foden and Alvarez were far from the quality of players from Arsenal.

Arsenal didn't just play badly in this match. Arsenal's performance in the last four matches has been very poor. Arsenal have conceded 11 goals in these four matches. I think Arsenal's overall performance is poor right now because of the poor performance of the defenders. If the defenders do not perform well, the Arsenal team will not be able to return to the truck in the upcoming matches. But it will now become more difficult for Arsenal to regain the top spot in the table. However, Manchester City is 2 points behind Arsenal. However, City has played two games less than Arsenal and so it looks like we will see Manchester City at the top of the table in the coming weeks.

However I think we still have a whole week ahead, this is football, anything can happen. Don't be surprised about Arsenal lifting the premier League trophy, though city looks advantageous at the moment but still anything can happen.
1315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Getting Educated on: April 22, 2023, 07:06:41 PM
Your narrative about education and natural law's is very expository, ordinary as humans living on earth,  it is expedient we understand the laws that surrounds us, you cannot effectively understands these laws and it's application without sound education.
Information they say is power, education wether formal or informal allows you to access this information and it's application.
1316  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Woman sells her child to repay loan on: April 19, 2023, 02:45:23 PM
A woman in Lagos has been arrested  for allegedly selling her own child for loan repayment. https://www.facebook.com/100068662700306/posts/pfbid02wJ4dCkxnhCP6p5eHek3sYzvEENGSdqw1xzCDxNwHiSBgA178hmZMoXZfmRLN7Rpl/?app=fbl

when I first read this story there were two observations that came into my mind as food for thought:

1. She was asked the reason for her actions. She said she wanted to repay a loan company, the loan repayment amount was 600,000 thousand naira, an insignificant amount not even enough to exchange a human being, no amount is even enough compared to a human being.

such action by a Mother exposes how hard the economy is really biting hard on the citizenry, for a mother to go through the process of pregnancy for 9 months and the pain of childbirth and yet still go ahead to sell her own child just to repay a loan, it's like taking us back to the slavery era in modern 21st'C.

2. The second was in relation to how people take loans for ostentatious purposes such as birthday parties, wedding or luxurious living.  However as a human being, is always advisable to alway take loans for the purpose of financing projects with a Return-On-Investment potentials  you can use to pay back your loan.

Just because the opportunity  availed itself for you to borrow a certain amount you  know you cannot pay back, doesn't warrant you to jump on the opportunity, as it's rather not an opportunity in real sense but a debt trap.
1317  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 18, 2023, 09:28:26 AM
Yes the ban is more like a joke, the effect the ban has is majorly on government institutions, individuals can easily carry on with their various crypto transactions. Just the way a good number of Nigeria youths that are tech savvy are into crypto and they are doing extremely well even when there is a ban on it by the authorities.

1318  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Achraf hakimi's smartness be the new normal for footballers. on: April 15, 2023, 11:41:58 AM
Hakim's wife Hiba is not too worried about the wealth since it happens like this. She's not a poor woman that depends on her husband's wealth. She's one of the richest actress in Spain. But divorce demands wealth be shared. So it's normal in the court of law. But true be told, Hakim decision to register All he's wealth in his mum's name is the best decision in this modern world where women has lost value and respect for men.  In all we do let's add little wisdom.

Judging from what you said about Hiba not being a poor woman, is it then possible for her own part of the wealth to be shared? Or the law doesn't permit women's wealth to be shared after divorce?
1319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 14, 2023, 12:22:34 PM
I think the best solution to solving what you don't have concrete knowledge about is to study about it. Go through practical examples of those of them involved in it, read the Bitcoin White paper.
A lot of people from the third world countries that are into bitcoin and crypto didn't just stay idle about it, they did their research and investment time and energy into it, before they started making progress.
1320  Other / Politics & Society / Will Achraf hakimi's smartness be the new normal for footballers. on: April 14, 2023, 10:51:14 AM
It has been widely reported that the wife of the Moroccan player filed for divorce from her husband and requested that the assets of her husband be divided equally(50/50). The PSG player Achraf Hakimi, is one of the highest earners in European football and as such, it is believed that, his is a multi millionaire.
so having her husband properties being splitted into half will make her earn so much money for herself.

So unknown to Hakimi's wife Hiba Abouk, the Spanish actress, her husband Achraf hakimi has all his properties all in his mother's name Sadia Mouth as revealed by the court.

At this point, it dawned on Hiba About that she made the wrong move, as things didn't go the way she expected, but the divorce appeal still went on.
So my question is, will these be a new normal for footballers, Because even Cristiano Ronaldo is said not to have yet gotten married to his girlfriend that has given birth to 4 children.
