1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 27, 2023, 07:45:38 AM
The quality of the players and mentality can be felt in this game. Everyone knows that Arsenal are very superior this season, but their strength has not been able to undermine Man City's dominance.
Arsenal played very well in other matches so they were able to enter the title race, but it must be admitted that Man City is still far above Arsenal. In this match, Arsenal were actually pressured by Man City players. In this match, the quality factor of the players cannot lie and the saddest thing is to see Arsenal attract Odegaard, Saka and Jesus, but the brides are Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith-Rowe and Reiss Nelson. while Man City attracted Jack Grealish, ilkay Gundogan and De Bruyne to replace Mahrez, Foden and Alvarez were far from the quality of players from Arsenal.

Arsenal didn't just play badly in this match. Arsenal's performance in the last four matches has been very poor. Arsenal have conceded 11 goals in these four matches. I think Arsenal's overall performance is poor right now because of the poor performance of the defenders. If the defenders do not perform well, the Arsenal team will not be able to return to the truck in the upcoming matches. But it will now become more difficult for Arsenal to regain the top spot in the table. However, Manchester City is 2 points behind Arsenal. However, City has played two games less than Arsenal and so it looks like we will see Manchester City at the top of the table in the coming weeks.

However I think we still have a whole week ahead, this is football, anything can happen. Don't be surprised about Arsenal lifting the premier League trophy, though city looks advantageous at the moment but still anything can happen.
1302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Getting Educated on: April 22, 2023, 07:06:41 PM
Your narrative about education and natural law's is very expository, ordinary as humans living on earth,  it is expedient we understand the laws that surrounds us, you cannot effectively understands these laws and it's application without sound education.
Information they say is power, education wether formal or informal allows you to access this information and it's application.
1303  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Woman sells her child to repay loan on: April 19, 2023, 02:45:23 PM
A woman in Lagos has been arrested  for allegedly selling her own child for loan repayment. https://www.facebook.com/100068662700306/posts/pfbid02wJ4dCkxnhCP6p5eHek3sYzvEENGSdqw1xzCDxNwHiSBgA178hmZMoXZfmRLN7Rpl/?app=fbl

when I first read this story there were two observations that came into my mind as food for thought:

1. She was asked the reason for her actions. She said she wanted to repay a loan company, the loan repayment amount was 600,000 thousand naira, an insignificant amount not even enough to exchange a human being, no amount is even enough compared to a human being.

such action by a Mother exposes how hard the economy is really biting hard on the citizenry, for a mother to go through the process of pregnancy for 9 months and the pain of childbirth and yet still go ahead to sell her own child just to repay a loan, it's like taking us back to the slavery era in modern 21st'C.

2. The second was in relation to how people take loans for ostentatious purposes such as birthday parties, wedding or luxurious living.  However as a human being, is always advisable to alway take loans for the purpose of financing projects with a Return-On-Investment potentials  you can use to pay back your loan.

Just because the opportunity  availed itself for you to borrow a certain amount you  know you cannot pay back, doesn't warrant you to jump on the opportunity, as it's rather not an opportunity in real sense but a debt trap.
1304  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 18, 2023, 09:28:26 AM
Yes the ban is more like a joke, the effect the ban has is majorly on government institutions, individuals can easily carry on with their various crypto transactions. Just the way a good number of Nigeria youths that are tech savvy are into crypto and they are doing extremely well even when there is a ban on it by the authorities.

1305  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Achraf hakimi's smartness be the new normal for footballers. on: April 15, 2023, 11:41:58 AM
Hakim's wife Hiba is not too worried about the wealth since it happens like this. She's not a poor woman that depends on her husband's wealth. She's one of the richest actress in Spain. But divorce demands wealth be shared. So it's normal in the court of law. But true be told, Hakim decision to register All he's wealth in his mum's name is the best decision in this modern world where women has lost value and respect for men.  In all we do let's add little wisdom.

Judging from what you said about Hiba not being a poor woman, is it then possible for her own part of the wealth to be shared? Or the law doesn't permit women's wealth to be shared after divorce?
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 14, 2023, 12:22:34 PM
I think the best solution to solving what you don't have concrete knowledge about is to study about it. Go through practical examples of those of them involved in it, read the Bitcoin White paper.
A lot of people from the third world countries that are into bitcoin and crypto didn't just stay idle about it, they did their research and investment time and energy into it, before they started making progress.
1307  Other / Politics & Society / Will Achraf hakimi's smartness be the new normal for footballers. on: April 14, 2023, 10:51:14 AM
It has been widely reported that the wife of the Moroccan player filed for divorce from her husband and requested that the assets of her husband be divided equally(50/50). The PSG player Achraf Hakimi, is one of the highest earners in European football and as such, it is believed that, his is a multi millionaire.
so having her husband properties being splitted into half will make her earn so much money for herself.

So unknown to Hakimi's wife Hiba Abouk, the Spanish actress, her husband Achraf hakimi has all his properties all in his mother's name Sadia Mouth as revealed by the court.

At this point, it dawned on Hiba About that she made the wrong move, as things didn't go the way she expected, but the divorce appeal still went on.
So my question is, will these be a new normal for footballers, Because even Cristiano Ronaldo is said not to have yet gotten married to his girlfriend that has given birth to 4 children.

1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.S should embraced bitcoin on: April 13, 2023, 08:08:27 AM
Given that Bitcoin is a decentralised currency, that is not controlled by the authorities, Joe biden would want to see it as a threat having in mind that as a government, they want to control the financial activities of the citizenry and Bitcoin doesn't give them that leverage, it is not peculiar with America only, some Government in some countries went as far as banning  crypto.
1309  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Political Weapons: The African antics on: April 10, 2023, 09:53:40 AM
Invariably your saying, the leaders deliberately keep the youthful population poor, so they can achieve their selfish interest. So more like an economically vibrant youthful population, will not easily succumb their political shenanigans.

To a large extent I agree with you, a financial liberated society has an extent to which they can accept some things, this reminds me a lot about Machiavellian principles and its application in reality.

I won't entirely ask them to stop trading, sometimes having your fingers burnt is also a good way of learning, trading has to do with experience, and you cannot get that experience without getting some losses. The best traders will always advise you to try again and even after blowing up your account.
.
Not in most cases, cause you might end up having no fingers anymore as they have burnt to ashes before you know it. More so it's better to have a slow but gradual growing figures in your account than having a blown one.  Mind you, you can only try again when you have money in the account and not with a blown up account as trades are not executed on empty account except you wanna go back to demo trading.

Ask the best traders, it wasn't rosy from the beginning. My point is, normalise the fact that losing in a trade is something you will mostly come across as a beginner, it shouldn't be frowned upon or discouraged entirely. Besides as a beginner, you should know your limits.

There are lots of gains in trading, you just have to keep on keeping on with the best trading skills you can come up with.
So letting them know that getting losses is not entirely a bad thing, it's actually part of the process of learning

THE EFFECT OF SADIO MANE ON LIVERPOOL.

Sadio mane, the Senegalese born player,  had a successful six seasons stay at Liverpool before parting ways with the club.

During his stay, he was a formidable force in the team, helping them, to win the premier League (2019-2020) season,
Champions League league (2018-2019) season,
Uefa Super Cup(2019),
Club world cup (2019),
Also helping his home country Senegal to win, the African Cup of nations 2021.       I just want to mention this few achievements excluding his individual Awards.

Sadio mane with a combined attacking force like MO SALAH, Liverpool was the talk of the town, Mane always shows a great fighting spirit as a team player, making Liverpool conquer the entire European football that period.
But very recently, that glory liverpool have been enjoying, is dwindling very fast since the departure of Sadio mane to Bayern Munich.

It's too glaring to see the vacuum the exit of mane has created.
Liverpool have been struggling to even maintain a top 5 positive ever since in the English premier League.
So I ask, was it really in the Best interest 🤔 of Liverpool to let Mane go?

1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: effect of bitcoin on institutions and global economy on: April 02, 2023, 09:34:23 AM
The global adoption of Bitcoin will generally affect the global market in a positive way, but however how can this narrative be driven, because Bitcoin is a decentralised currency, that is not controlled by official authorities, so I believe government will be skeptical adopting Bitcoin generally since they are always bent on controlling the financial aspects of our livelihoods.

But then I if the IMF and other government across the globe, agrees for the adoption , I believe there will be some level of agreement that will be reached that will be for the good of the citizenry.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going to Bitcoin events on: March 30, 2023, 06:31:02 PM

1315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics supposed to be for the old ones? on: March 30, 2023, 05:02:44 PM
Well, I believe the political ladder has a lot to with loyalty and longevity, you have a bunch of guys who have been loyal to a political cause for years, trust me, they and their cronies will always run the political system, it's more like a cult group, you can barely see an ordinary person having a breakthrough into the scene.

The political class, can hardly entrust powders to a younger person not within their circles, So they easily pass the political positions to their loyalist even though the person is 80+ years.
1316  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can divorced couple reunite?? - please share experience on: March 26, 2023, 06:41:05 PM
One thing I've noticed with relationship is that, people that have fallen in love before and later broke up, might always reunite if the opportunity knocks on the door.
Reasons will be, because they've had strong feelings for each other before now, they've understood their flaws, they are ready to make amends, they've known how to communicate with each other without saying a word, they can barely let go of the past they've had with each other, so they are constantly reminiscing the good old days, and lastly some partners feel those traits they enjoyed from their past partners cannot be gotten anywhere, So coming back together to start from where they stopped will be the best decision for them.
1317  Other / Off-topic / Re: There are A lot of Scammers on Internet than any other platform on: March 26, 2023, 06:28:09 PM
There are lots of internet scammers especially on telegram, I was invited to one group by an unknown person a certain time ago on telegram, they where discussing about crypto investment and all sorts of investment, I noticed they invest a lot of time and energy in convincing you with testimonies of people that have succeeded, I was almost trying to invest before I took a step back in doing some investigation and I found out, they were all white lies. Lots of innocent people fell for it, when I started attacking them and exposing their white lies, they blocked and removed me from the group. So everyone needs to be careful out there.
1318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: March 24, 2023, 07:58:08 AM
Paying with Bitcoin is something I will ever be grateful for, it's something of nobility for shops and restaurants to accept bitcoin payment and at such, I don't think doing that should generate a bad feeling.
1319  Economy / Economics / Re: There is more to the regulation's aim on: March 22, 2023, 11:53:50 AM
I don't believe they can control the crypto space, they may try to gag the system but cannot control it.  The way crypto is built, it's beyond their interference.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The confidentiality of having Bitcoin on: March 19, 2023, 05:27:24 PM
I am wondering in a country where cash withdrawal is limited, how can you encash Bitcoin?  Even in a P2P situation, you need to use banks for the money transfer if you are going to sell your BTC to other people.  Face-to-face Bitcoin exchange is somehow dangerous since it also has the risk of carrying cash.  You don't know who you are dealing with and the possibility of dealing with bad guy is also there.  Aside from that Bitcoin acceptance in the local market is also scarce.  There are rarely establishments that accept Bitcoin and if there are merchants, isn't this merchant also affected by the cash limit implementation? So if they accept BTC as a mode of payment, then where can they get the money to replenish their stocks if their Bank withdrawal is also limited?

I believe Bitcoin won't help in a case where the government limits its constituents of cash withdrawal unless Bitcoin already penetrated the local market and is used by all available local merchants.  But in case there are only a handful of merchants that accept Bitcoin, it will be hard to use as the solution to the problem.  I think the best solution is to change the leaders of the country, abolish the cash limit law or persuade the authority to accept Bitcoin as the mode of payment if not legal tender (but I think in a corrupt government, it is impossible).  If the authority is persuaded to implement Bitcoin as mode of payment, people can use Bitcoin as an alternative to cash legally, and can be accepted in any store.  then the problem with the cash withdrawal limit might be lightened if not solved totally.

If you can do a P2P and after which the said money is domiciled your Bank account, then you can easily use your credit card for your transactions, don't forget this is an economy that is heavily dependent on fiat money, so the need to be incharge of your money by having Bitcoin cannot be overemphasized, because going cashless will in due time enhance the penetration of Bitcoin to those local markets.
