1301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IMPORTANT! Always check your Seed twice. on: January 10, 2024, 07:14:58 AM

Check your Seed twice.  Do not be lazy.

Thanks for this reminder, someone might not fully understand the gravity of what you're saying until they perhaps experience the ugly feeling of helplessness in a simple mistake of misspell or not arranging in the right order. I've had an experience with a coinomi wallet, I was trying to restore the seed phrase and it kept telling me about misspell error, and there is nothing I can do about it till this day and the Bitcoin in it is probably lost for ever. So I painfully understand what it means to double or three times crosscheck seed phrase to avoid not accessing your wallet, in the case of compromise, loses, or theft of phone.
1302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Games Revolutionize the Gaming Industry? on: January 10, 2024, 06:24:54 AM
XAI and blockchain gaming look pretty exciting! Owning in-game stuff for real, easy trading, and even having a say in game decisions is like a gamer's dream. XAI seems to cut through the blockchain complexity for gamers, fixing things like high fees and tricky wallets. Getting listed on big exchanges is a good sign, but the real deal is if gamers jump on board and XAI delivers what it promises.

Blockchain game is looking promising, it's a new revolution in the gaming industry and if gammers and investors warms up to it, then there's nothing stopping it's revolutioarizing the industry. What will set XAI apart is the innovations that it'll bring to attract people to it, and being listed on a top exchange like Binance is a good development because a lot of people patronize their services. Although I hope that the core focus of the project will be about the game and having fun, but you can not deterch the business angle altogether.
1303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decred scandal? Project Founder owns more than 2M DCR coins on: January 09, 2024, 04:53:26 PM
At the end, it is just really almost centralized because one entity holds this much power of the entire project I guess it still would depend on how he decides to go about this project running forward

Good or bad decisions, he will most likely just think of his own and act accordingly to what is best for him which should be quite scary for investors who only hold a few coins

This is the shrewd nature of big businesses at the very top, they startup a project with the sole aim of enriching themselves and calls for investors in the name of being a public enterprise. It's common in the business would, CEOs will want to hold majority shares so they can conveniently call the shots, even at the detriment of other minority shareholders.

If the Decred project founder is able to own more than 2m DCR coins, and is able to pilot the affairs of the project profitably then I don't have a problem with that, afterall if the coin goes down he'll be the most affected. It's only when the founder manipulates decisions to favor only himself that there's a problem.

1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will any other coins like Bitcoin be discovery in the future? on: January 09, 2024, 02:46:45 PM
Possibly? no one know with the future.

Just like cellphone wasn't created yet, I don't think people are expect we can easily send message over and over with internet.

Just like Bitcoin wasn't exist yet, I don't think people are expect we can have a decentralized currency to combat against centralization and hedging against inflation.

With technological advancements anything is possible in the future, because if they'd told my grandma in the fifties that we'll have a phone without wire connectors that you can make video calls with people in another continent, she'd probably have argued that nothing could beat telephone land lines, but we know better today. And today Bitcoin stands undisputed as the king of cryptocurrency, an undeniable fact, it's decentralization stands it apart from every other crypto coins out there, but who knows tomorrow, the next decades or even in a century, it might be looked at as an obsolete coin, although I don't wish this because I love my BTC.
1306  Economy / Economics / Re: And the most worthless fiat currency of 2023 was: The Iranian Rial! on: January 09, 2024, 01:13:27 PM
You'd think that an oil producing country like Iran, will have a valued currency, due to the need and demand of their product worldwide, but reverse is the case according to the OP information, which brings me to wonder that having natural resources that is very profitable does not guarantee stability and robust economy of producing countries. Other oil producing countries like Nigeria and Venezuela, also have currencies that are greatly devalued, despite their rich natural resources. I guess it all comes down to good management of economies by competent leaders, because I know that there are many countries that don't have any profitable natural resources, yet their economies are functioning better than some of these oil rich countries.
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: January 09, 2024, 11:52:32 AM
I congratulate the OP for his winning and using the money to buy something physical that he can enjoy and remember everytime that he sees it, that it was from a gambling win. This should be the attitude for big wins because it doesn't happen everytime, so when the gambler loses, he can look on the physical achievements from previous winnings and be happy that winning days will come again. It's ok to bet some percentage of winnings back in gambling or going to hangout and enjoy some of it, but if the win is quite big, it'll be better to invest or buy something physical that the gambler can always see, because winnings don't happen everyday.
1308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ESSENTIALLY SIMPLE TRADING FACTORS THAT EVERY TRADER SHOULD CONSIDER on: January 09, 2024, 10:17:22 AM
I want to talk about the confidence part. Do you know that you can have confidence and the confidence will fail you. An instance is when you have the confidence, you analyzed the market and open a trade. After the trade was opened, the market go another side and loss started and continued until liquidation. There are more to trading than what you listed. It is not what you can use a day to learn. You need to know how to control your emotion and not using leverage. The money you put on trading, see it as the money you put on gambling. Let the money be very small and be able to afford to lose it.

Cryptocurrency trading is very dynamic and I believe that someone should not have one rigid approach to trading, because if your approach is not working, it could be wise to consider another approach. Being confidence is good, because you need it to overcome the fears of losing your coin, but sometimes simple reasonings can alter you confidence and make you change your mind, if perhaps you're being confident with a wrong move.

Above every factor in crypto trading should be discipline, it'll help to guide a trader not to deviate unnecessarily during trading, they should stick to their trading pertans, unless when it is of utmost necessity that they should change pertans to avoid further loses. Patience and not being greedy, lastly to trade the amount that they can afford to loose.
1309  Other / Politics & Society / Re: BBC Documentary on Prophet TB. Joshua and the Complications in the Truth on: January 09, 2024, 09:12:21 AM
I'd have loved if OP had shared links about this documentary, it would've given us more insight about the matter. I've not watched the BBC documentary yet, but I've read some confessional statements on news sites, about some ladies who had worked closely with the late prophet T B Joshua, and alleging that he usually had sexual acts with virgins and uses their blood to fortify his powers, although this my findings may not be accurate. If the ladies in the documentary did not present any physical evidence to proof their truthfulness, then it's all allegations as far as I'm concerned, because they could be lying.  I'm not a member of the synagogue church, but to accuse someone that his preaching and philanthropic works speaks for itself is, without any concrete proof will be very unfair.

Successful people whether it's in entertainment, politics, businesses and religion will always be accused of using either fraud or diabolic powers to sustain fame and fortune, so I personally don't take allegations about them too seriously because jealous people can be behind the allegations, unless I see physical proofs before I can believe.
1310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet can i use for my needs on: January 09, 2024, 08:13:21 AM
I will advise you to use a separate wallet for storing your bitcoin and a separate wallet for your altcoins.

For bitcoin, you can use the electrum and the blue wallet, which are both open source.

It's most advisable to use separate wallets for Bitcoin and altcoins, so the user can perform uptimaly, Bitcoin is unique and requires a separate wallet, so there won't be interferences with other coins in the same wallet. Your two wallet recommendations for Bitcoin are good, I use blue wallet and it's very convenient for my Bitcoin, I know that electrum, is also a good choice too. No special preference for altcoins, let him consider options from members opinions.
1311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: “X” users are struggling as Crypto Scams in Ads,officials have no clear respons on: January 09, 2024, 07:07:07 AM
People should understand that the social media is a public space where anybody or organizations can come and say anything whether true or lie, and the owners of these media sites don't really have a say in the content of stuff that is dumped in their sites. If the public can have this awearness then it'll be difficult to get scammed in the social media, because they'd be knowledgeable enough to understand that they need to carry out research before deciding to believe what they hear or click any link. I doubt that the users of X can sue Elon musk, for being scammed in his social media site, so people need to have these scam awearness and tell as many people as possible, to reduce the chances of scams, because they're not going to stop.
1312  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Investing into crypto really safe? on: January 08, 2024, 06:19:33 PM
The most important things to first know are the coins to invest on and the right time to buy. Some people will invest on a shitcoins while some people will invest at the wrong time. These are the two most costly mistakes someone that wants to invest on coins and tokens can make.

The recommended coin is bitcoin. Make further research to know some other ones. Last year has been the time we have been advising people to invest in bitcoin, but it is never too late for now.

Na true, cryptocurrency investment de very risy depending on the coin wey you de talk about, if na all dis hyped new projects dem, most na scam dem be, if you want invest in dem, make you know say you de gamble your money, because some go fit to give you many times your investment as profit in a short time, but e fit to dump and become worthless at anytime.

But investment for Bitcoin na im sure pass, if you buy am at di right time, when di price dip, na to hold am until price pump or you wait till bull run and you go get better ROI, e no be like all dos shitcoins wey go waste all your investment money finish. Also some beta top altcoins de wey de reputable like Bitcoin, but you need to carry out research before you buy any altcoins.

No go area na im be crypto trading, weda na Bitcoin or altcoins, you must learn am first, to minimize loses.
1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Uniswap reaping people off on: January 08, 2024, 05:20:21 PM
I have withdrawn and trade ETH from MEXC multiple times already and I am never charged more than $3 but when I swap ETH ERC 20 on Uniswap the gas fee is almost always $10 and few times over $10, why is it like this? Are DEXs suppose to be more costly normal centralized exchanges?
I used it last and the transaction fee was too high so after successfully transferring the coins from there I left the app and refused to use it again. Normally, though for once I have used the Centralized Exchange transaction fees are cheaper than the Decentralized Exchanges. And that is one the factors that I am not using Decentralized Exchange for any transaction for now. And their prices are lower than CEX.

This is precisely why CEX are more patronized than DEX, because centralized exchanges are more convenient and has cheaper transaction fees for smaller transactions than the decentralized exchanges, as is obvious from the OP unfavorable experience. People are advocating for DEX but with this Uniswap, being a reputable DEX high fees for small transactions it's not helpful, only favorable  for big transactions.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Honduras Special Zone officially recognizes Bitcoin as a unit of account on: January 08, 2024, 03:55:19 PM
Well, all news of this kind is welcome, but considering that this is an area of 60K inhabitants, we should not be overly optimistic.

Nor do I believe that Bitcoin is going to impose itself as a unit of account on the basis of legislation, considering how volatile it still is relative to the major currencies. We only have to see that it is not a unit of account in a practical way even in this forum.

It's true that we shouldn't be overly optimistic and enthusiastic because of the small population of the this island that has adoption Bitcoin, it's however a win for Bitcoin, nevertheless, because they're an entity. I hope that they're able to manage the volatility of Bitcoin in their small economy. What will be a big boost for Bitcoin will be when a country with a very large population will adopt it, although I don't see that happening anytime soon.
1315  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Ithiopia bankrupted? on: January 08, 2024, 02:54:08 PM
African politics is not right, African politics is not stable. There is a lot of corruption.  If you look at the past years it will be seen that they have only incurred debt but have not been able to make any progress which is very disappointing.  I would say crypto currency will not help this unstable situation. The politicians here are dishonest.  If the thief of the country is sitting inside the country, then it is foolish to expect improvement there.  I don't think cryptocurrencies can handle this situation.

Precisely the problem of African countries is corruption, kill or reduce corruption drastically and you will see desirable change for the better in their economies. Imagine when you borrow money that will not go into production of outputs, instead it'll find it's way into private accounts, then how do you repay the loans? They keep compiling dept for the next administration, who will come to power with the aim of enriching themselves too, in the end the economies will keep becoming worse off. Besides most African countries consume more than they export, which makes them poorer and dependant on industrious nations. So even if their governments adopt Bitcoin as a palliative to cushion the effects of poverty, corruption will still cripple it.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 08, 2024, 12:52:43 PM
I will be worried if a saw my mother in a gambling shop, first because it's not a norm in my country to see elderly women who are into gambling, talk less of being seen in a gambling shop, second reason will be concern for her health. Most elderly people can not withstand shock like young people, a lose can give her emotional breakdown or worse high blood pressure, which can lead to stroke. Although it's quite common to see elderly men who enter gambling shops to bet, and they're not really frowned at, I guess because people perceive gambling as being a masculine thing, they believe that gambling should not be for ladies.
1317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im looking for funded traders to trade with my capital on: January 08, 2024, 11:43:08 AM
I do know how to trade Im looking for trader who will learn how to trade and make profit with my funds.

If you know how to trade and have the funds, then whats the problem? Trade by yourself.

I'm wondering the same thing too, why share profit with another trader when you can do the trading yourself, you have the fund and the skill, it's to apply them in trading and keep all the profits to your self. What if the partner traders don't follow his instructions and probably starts losing his money, what will he do? I hope he finds genuine traders that'll follow his instructions in trading for him, and I wish him all the best.
1318  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The best way to fight insecurity in our society on: January 08, 2024, 10:44:08 AM
The world have been using war to fight insecurity, wasting economic and human resource but it seen insecurity is increasing on daily basis. I think war is not the best approach to insecurity. If we want a society free from security challenges there should be equal right and justics, any government that cannot solve the issue of security for 24hr has hand in the insecurity problem facing the people. One of the things that can also eradicate insecurity in our society is to improve on our economy and create adequate social amenities and jobs creations especially for the youth.

For external threats to the security of a country, wars can be inevitable to safeguard the territories of the country, because if a country is weak to respond to external aggressions then it can be attacked or infiltrated by criminal elements.

If you're talking about internal aggressions then it's important that a government should try and find out about the root cause of it and try to address it, if not then it can escalate to more serious security challenges. If a government provides jobs and basic amenities to it's citizens, then the chances of insecurities will drastically reduce. Although there are evil minded individuals and organizations who's aims are to always cause mayhem in their socialites and the entire world without any just cause, the best way to achieve peace is to fight them, if they can not change for good.
1319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Fake Ledger wallet update email with phishing link. on: January 08, 2024, 08:12:00 AM
Once again Ledger is in the limelight for a wrong reason again. I think the last connectkit saga or let me say hackers definitely got some information from ledger and they are definitely using it. The thing is ledger themselves are aware of this phishing scam because they issued a warning against email scams. Maybe it’s time to finally ditch them for good.

Crypto related hacks are a normal trends now, it's not surprising that you'd wake up to hear that an exchange or wallet has been hacked, hackers are not resting in upgrading their tactics, neither should we relent in being security conscious regarding any affairs on the internet. As this ledger email hack has come up to limelight again, it'll be very important for it's users to diligently verify and be sure of authenticity of information before clicking anything to avoid scams.
1320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which upcoming DEX are you looking at in 2024? on: January 08, 2024, 06:46:45 AM
so far I haven't found any new DEX that will be big like UNISWAP and PANCAKESWAP. but I am sure that in 2024 there will be many large altcoins that have their own networks and of course also have DEX. I say that because 2024 is a bullish year and it looks like many large projects that have their own networks with very large funding raised will be launched in 2024.

We have existing DEX that are doing well, example is uniswap and pancakeswap, as mentioned, we welcome any new ones that will come and add value to investors. The one mentioned by the OP, can turn out to be a good option to explore, although he warmed that we shouldn't take his wordy for it and do our own research before deciding to give it a shot. It's indeed a bullish year in cryptocurrency and we're expecting new profitable developments in crypto launchings
