13041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to bet against Clinton to become president on: September 22, 2016, 01:34:24 AM
Bet against Clinton if you want, but I wouldn't.  I still have faith in the majority of the retarded American public that they'd not elect a monster such as Trump.  I'm holding onto that faith, but I wouldn't put money on it.  To be honest, I don't even want to think about this election much less put money on it.  I can't believe they nominated such a fucking retarded monkey fucker as Trump.  Boggles my mind, it does.
13042  Economy / Economics / Re: The new British five pound note on: September 21, 2016, 10:32:01 PM
You make it sound like its the first plastic note ever, to be honest, its not even as advanced as some of the other plastic notes out there, I love how your topic escalated to bitcoin that quickly.
The US $100 note is plastic, but I absolutely love it.  It's blue and has got all these neat security features on it.  It's too bad I'm such a poor sonofabitch that I can rarely hold onto one for long.

This bill is damn pretty.  I'm not sentimental about old currency and I can appreciate the nice design on the new money.  I doubt this stuff is going to have individual tracking chips on it, but who knows.  I'll get paranoid when everyone else does, just let me know.
13043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin less evil than PayPal? on: September 21, 2016, 09:53:08 PM
I have never been a victim of PayPal's evil nature, but I still think they suck.  Ebay too.  But you know, I still use them.  Ebay is the place to get anything, and PayPal is convenient (except for the fees if you're a seller).  It's a good thing that those two companies split apart, because it was even worse when Ebay owned PayPal.
13044  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling YouTube Channel with 100$ in it on: September 21, 2016, 04:14:44 AM
Good luck, I don't think anyone here buys shitty youtube accounts.   And how would you know it's not hacked or that you wouldn't claim it's hacked once you sold it.   Get my drift?
13045  Economy / Speculation / Re: why should anyone invest in btc right now? on: September 21, 2016, 03:35:34 AM
I'll tell you what:  The price right now is dropping like a stone (sorta).  But right about now, also, I'm down to my last 3 Ramen noods until Thursday when I gets paid.  I'm hoping the price crashes before then so I can buy low, and that's exactly what I'm going to do.  I love it when things crash.  It's better than sex to me.  That flash crash we had back in 2010 in the stock market--I had to sit down for most of the day whilst watching Bloomberg.  Good times.  I even remember the Oct. 1987 crash, though it wasn't as much fun back then.

Why should anyone invest?  Whodafuckknows?  There's no predicting this market, and there's nothing to analyze except sentiment, which amounts to trying to outguess the rest of the sucker pool.  Buy now or buy later.  Makes no difference.
13046  Economy / Lending / Re: new features on loan on: September 21, 2016, 03:29:04 AM
Identity verification can provide a false sense of security to lenders, making them give out more than they should given the lendee's reputation.  A identity the if could easily cash out on somebody with credit cards and bank accounts, then double up by using the person'should information to get a loan.

The only time this would come in handy is verifying the identity of a already trusted person, which is better done with signed messages anyway.  Besides that, collateral is the gold standard.
Word.  So what am I going to do with someone's identity?  Hop on a plane to Sierra Leone and come beat your ass?  Yeah right, and there's no way I can sue for 0.003BTC or whatever paltry sums are being scammed for.  Christ, I wouldn't even bicycle 3 blocks to come beat your ass for that.  So ID and all that crap is U-S-E-L-E-S-S.  As my nogga said, collateral is king in these parts.
13047  Economy / Economics / Re: what your plan for future ? and how to manage your time ? on: September 21, 2016, 03:24:38 AM
I have my daily job. Although it is not much, it is sufficient to support my daily spending and I feel happy with it. I think it is not about how much you have, it is about what you are doing now which make you happy.
Good answer.
I try to live in the moment as best I can, much like my cats do and much like complete fucking retards do.  Both cats and retards seem to be really happy all the time.  I don't have any dreams anymore.  I like my job, but it doesn't pay for shit.  My goal, which I'm doing absolutely nothing about, is to make more money.  Probably working in a fucking drugstore again, or a hospital.

I don't like this thread very much.
13048  Economy / Reputation / Re: Douglus should remove cryptodevil from DT due to conflict of interest on: September 21, 2016, 03:20:46 AM
Xtraelv, you can't delete accounts here, but I can't imagine you're attached to yours yet.  Just create a new one and don't give support to scammy stuff like MLMs.  Which are scams, btw.  And if you've been reading anything on this forum you'd know this sort of thing is taken quite seriously.

Probably really good advice. but it would make my account look like what he accuses me of being. A sock puppet. I've given him a negative trust rating back - which will look dodgy if I abandon this account.

Whah?  No one would know you created a new account.  There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people on this forum who do that constantly.  You haven't used your current account much, so who cares?

Trust isn't moderated here, as everyone has said, and I've come to believe that it's a good thing.  Can you imagine the power trips and all the other BS that would go on if it were moderated?  If you think people bitch and moan now, it'd be worse by a factor of at least 5 if mods had that sort of power.  As people say, if there's no reference link, forget it.
13049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy when buying altcoins? on: September 21, 2016, 03:13:19 AM
When I used to attempt to day trade on Yobit, I'd usually look at which altcoins had recently been doing well but suddenly tanked.  I figured they were due for another pump, and sometimes I got lucky.  I think I made like 0.2BTC on a single trade, and that's considered a huge win for me, because I don't like to gamble big on altcoins.  They're waaay too risky, and I got burned on ETH and some others.

And some others, like doge and Dash I bought just to hold on to.  Don't ask me why.
13050  Other / Meta / Re: Thanks for all the Bitcoin-related email spam, Theymos ! on: September 21, 2016, 02:57:02 AM
Love all the spam I've been getting as a result of the database being stolen.

Thanks honey.

You rock.
Err..Haven't received any sort of email's as such.Be happy, someone's concerned about you. Cool

How's that new million-dollar-plus forums software coming along ?  Roll Eyes

What a joke.

Hope we won't have the "periodic" down times then.Million dollar software it is..
Say what now?  I haven't been getting any e-mails or anything.  Maybe someone's trolling you, just like you're trolling us.  You're doing a good job of it, too.  Keep up the bad work, BobBlablablaw.
13051  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with Bitcoin? on: September 21, 2016, 02:50:01 AM
This is actually a funny question to me, because I think the same thing sometimes.  Bitcoin to me is for saving, because you're exactly right--once you've saved up 0.20BTC from sig campaigns or whatever, do you really want to spend it?  I don't.  If I got paid in BTC, that'd be another matter, but I don't.  I get paid in US dollars, and things are priced in US dollars where I live, not bitcoin.  So my answer is, do absolutely nothing with your bitcoin.  Save it for a rainy day, and hopefully it'll increase in value in the meantime.
13052  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: September 20, 2016, 11:06:46 PM
Being really addicted sucks, and if you haven't hit bottom yet you might not even realize you're addicted.  I'm not, but I thought I might eventually get addicted to gas station lottery things (scratch offs, Powerball), so I stopped.  Plus I'm just not lucky.

Currently I have a thing with the stock market, but I'm more of a buy-and-hold type of guy, and I don't consider myself addicted to that.
13053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Racist German IOTA mods ban on: September 20, 2016, 06:25:03 PM
Wow thanks for the heads up about there being racists in this world.  And that's bad for this particular coin how exactly?   Not that it matters.  They could call it IloveniggersCoin and it would still be just as much of a flop.  Don't take it personally,  just move on.
13054  Economy / Reputation / Re: Complain to Mod: mprep & BadBear, Please solve on: September 20, 2016, 05:48:25 PM
I thought no one can give you a negative trust unless one of the moderators approves it. Because if anyone can just give someone a negative trust, the entire forum will be splashed in red.
Dude, where have you been?  You can leave anyone a red and a lot of folks on this forum are, in fact,  splashed red.  Look at my trust feedback for example.  You definitely don't need approval for leaving feedback.

Liking this thread.   I love it when assholes get bent over the couch and railed.  Bravo, mah bitchez.
13055  Other / Off-topic / Re: Working day to Buy 1 BTC in your country on: September 20, 2016, 03:53:08 AM
I'm being totally honest here.  When I was actually working as a hospital pharmacist, it would take me about a day and a half to earn one bitcoin at the current price.  I was making $54/hr or so.  Then everything got all fucked up.

Funny how life turns out sometimes.  Last time I worked for that amount of moolah was 2010, and it's a damn shame I didn't hear about bitcoin then.

Right now it would take me about 34 hours of work to make a single bitcoin, or just under a week.  Ugh, the good old days!!
13056  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would u still use Bitcoin if u were a USD multi millionaire? on: September 20, 2016, 03:47:36 AM
Not only would I still own bitcoin, but I'd own much more than I do now, and I wouldn't sell it.  And not only would I be sitting on a huge pile of digital gold, like Scrooge McDuck, I'd still come to this forum to piss all over the trolls and scammers.  The only difference would be that I wouldn't be stuck in a job that sucks but that I still depend on.  Money may be the root of a lot of evils, but there's definitely something to be said for having financial independence.  For not having to work for a living.
13057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you buy small amounts of these presently sub cent coins? on: September 20, 2016, 03:44:28 AM
Try Yobit. There's lots of little (and big) coins there to throw your partial pennies at.
Watch out for the real shitty ones--and that's pretty much all of them.  You can easily lose your whole investment.  Stay far away from the one-satoshi club coins, and the ones that look like they're about to join up.  There are so many bad ones on Yobit, but it's really not that bad of an exchange.  Buy DOGE is my suggestion, or buy one of the bigger name ones.  Litecoin, Dash, ETH.  You might get lucky.  You also might get anally owned, so watch out.
13058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it Sports Betting is better than other type of gambling? on: September 20, 2016, 03:07:22 AM
I think it has more to do with the fact that there is a little more "skill" involved in sport betting than in other forms of gambling which usually rely purely on "luck"... like dice, roulette or slots... Blackjack is a bit of an exception, but only really in live games where the decks are not shuffled every hand.

But I digress... with sport betting, you can do a lot of research and analysis and make fairly good judgments about who will win and who will lose... of course, there is always an element of chance (bounce of the ball, bad call by referee/umpire, unforeseen injuries etc)... but by being informed and having a good understanding of the game, the competition and the teams/players involved, you can really get a lot of results correct...

however, this is the reason why a lot of the payouts for sports betting are so much lower and not as "attractive" to some gamblers... winning @1.05 on a surefire bet doesn't seem great compared to getting 2x payout on dice... but a 5% instant return on a near sure thing isn't really all that bad...

At the end of the day, sports betting comes down to you vs. the bookie... it isn't just mathematical chance and probability...
Yes, I think it's the perception of more skill being involved.  Certainly if you had inside information about whatever sports team you were betting on, you'd stack the odds in your favor.  But I think most people are just rank amateurs when it comes to betting.  They're not like Sam Rothstein in Casino.  Anyway, it might just be more fun than other ways of gambling.  I think it is.  Casino games are totally a money-wasting activity.  Sports betting is a bit different, and you can't follow how the roulette table did in your local newspaper.
13059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing my $2,000,000 Into bitcoin (advice me) on: September 20, 2016, 02:48:34 AM
When you have $2,000,000 to invest, my question is:  Why the F*&$ are you coming to a chat forum for advice.  There are financial boutiques and a bunch of other places that cater to people with high net worth.

But methinks you is just trollin'.  Good job.
13060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: September 20, 2016, 01:57:17 AM
Player514, you're one of the few people on this forum that I trust.  Just sayin'.

I've been having trouble growing bitcoin ever since I got my first bitcoin about a year and a half ago.  I keep buying and selling, but what I always intend to do is HODL.  The problem is that I don't make enough money and I'm just horrendous at managing money.  And I don't even gamble on bitcoin sites or casinos, and whatever.  Eh.  Maybe I'll eventually get one whole bitcoin again and hodl onto it.
