13061  Economy / Economics / Re: POLL: Bitcoin Inequality on: October 05, 2015, 06:46:31 AM
Voted I do approve.
No more Communism! It's not that I'm against it in theory, but in practice this proved to be impossible, so no more of that nonsense. If you want have more BTC - mine it, earn it, but don't expect that it will be given to you for free.
13062  Economy / Economics / Re: A country would have to be a damn fool to start a national cryptocurrency. on: October 05, 2015, 06:23:12 AM

I hear rumors that Russia is considering starting their own national cryptocurrency.  As well, many believe that if the US or any other major power ever "adopted" cryptocurrency they would just start their own blockchain.

Foolishness.

Do you know what that would be inviting?  Total economic and digital war.  If the entire value of the U.S. Dollar is on an open blockchain that anyone can mine and attack, you better believe that rogue/rival nations will do everything they can to try to damage our blockchain.  And wouldn't we be forced to levy the same attacks & threats vs. them?

You know who doesn't have to worry about this nonsense?  A blockchain of value that represents the entire human race and not just one entity.  A true global currency.  Bitcoin, Monero, and other truly neutral and worldwide projects don't fly a flag.  They stand for all of us.  Just look at some of the full nodes running in these projects: there are nodes in China, the US, Russia, India, and many more.

A cryptocurrency flying a national banner is about as useful as an internet flying a national banner (ahem, North Korea).  I can see how there might be secure blockchains for internal Department of Defense usage and Apple Inc usage (just like intranets) but no country is going to back their currency with a proprietary blockchain that paints a big fat target on their ass.  If they did, they would just centralize it... and that's not really a blockchain, is it?  That's just a shared, private database.

So let's end this argument once and for all.  It's either the world wide ledgers or nothing; there won't be national flavors.

I agree. I mean if you are making something which is good (and cryptocurrency is a good thing in general), make it for the whole world not just for your country WTF... I hope those times when "Nation fight against nation" will be drowned in the past forever. An end must be put to things like this. So why start such an outdated hideosity now?

"Everyone looses in the long run"

Of course it's true. But we all lose our lives in the long run too btw Smiley
So gamble for fun, and never bet more than you can afford to lose and everything will be just fine.

If you ask me how much is that what one can afford to lose, I'd say if you are gambling once per month you can afford to lose around 5% of your monthly income, not more.
Why is it true? There are other games appart from dice or roulette, if you play poker you are not going to lose in the long run if you know how to do it.

Yes, yes, you mean poker, black Jack right? I've heard many times about professional gamblers who are good at it. But have you met one in person? Because I've met some. And all of them are saying the same thing: when gambling if you are not losing much that's the best you can do.
13065  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Mexico Puts the Brakes on Bitcoin, Forbids Its Use for Certain Payments! on: October 04, 2015, 03:30:23 PM
They are following the steps of Russia. They will learn the lessons and open the doors to bitcoin one day.

Venezuela is also reportedly blocking Bitcoin websites:

http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/10/01/venezuela-reportedly-blocking-bitcoin-websites/

Don't know if there is any chance of "they will learn the lessons", I mean those governments should be overthrown that's all, they are so stupid they can't learn any lessons.
13066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: October 04, 2015, 02:16:04 PM
For sure I'm waiting for price increase! I think the fair price for 1BTC is around $1k. I'm not going to sell any until the price is more than $1k, but I don't blame folks who are selling BTC now, maybe they need some money right now or something like that idk. But if they are selling because they are thinking that price of BTC will be lower in the future then YES, I blame them for that!  Smiley
13067  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Premium .IN domain name for sale on: October 04, 2015, 02:04:06 PM
Hi Wapinter,

consider that Poker.in sold for $60,000 in 2007 and many meaningless .IN 3-letter combinations sell every month for $x,xxx, so this domain would be worth way more if I sold it to an enduser. As for Mix.com, it's easily worth $xxx, xxx.

The reason I'm putting it for sale here, even though I could sell it for more elsewhere, is because I'd like to acquire some BTC.

Wow! didn't know that. So a guy just registered the domain with name Poker.in and then sold it for $60k? Good for him! Really smart and nice that that happened.

Mix.in is a pretty good(for many things) domain name too btw. So, good luck with your selling!

13070  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much weed do you smoke? on: October 04, 2015, 01:14:51 PM
Never smoked tha weed, seen too many people looking like zombies, and the majority of them need the weed more than food or to look after the family, much trouble with weedos around my area.
They love to steal and burgle homes just for the love of weed.

It friggin stinks and fouls up my air space.
I think its fine for medicinal use though.

I agree with you on medical use, but not on you've said above. "They love to steal and burgle homes just for the love of weed." ? Are you sure you are not  mixing up pot lovers with crackheads and heroin addicts?

13072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your idle coins? on: October 04, 2015, 12:15:12 PM
I am running bitcoin faucets with my idle coin. But on starting months there will be more expenditure than income. But after you get some good number of daily visitors you will start earning. You should have some coding knowledge to get better return.

I am happy wtih this as i am getting some return like 20% more than i giveaway in claims.

That looks interesting! But in what time period do you start having +20%? You said "on starting months there will be more expenditure than income" so how long does it really take, 5-6 months or more?
13073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My goal to earn 1,000bitcoins within 3years on: October 04, 2015, 11:50:27 AM
wow 1k BTC ? i only made 1.5btc within 8 months from nothing  Grin

Do you mean you made 1.5btc within 8 months by gambling? If yes, you are a pretty lucky gambler, beacause me and everyone I know have no such luck with gambling. Of course I've heard stories but never met lucky gamblers in person.
If bets on sports is count  you can easily earn 1.5BTC within 8 months you just need patience. You need to bet only on 99% results. And фдцфны get away from the heat of passion!
im not really gambling it i dont have any luck sometime i just play for fun with small amount Grin i reach BTC1.5 just collecting from giveaway, raffle, and sometime invest on hyip  Grin

That sounds much more realistic to me, thanks for the answer. I also only play for fun with small amounts, and I don't see gambling as an option when it comes to make some money. ...

Good luck with your collecting! You are doing good at it IMO btw.  Smiley

13075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: October 04, 2015, 09:01:20 AM
You can't have strategy in dice, you just pick high or low and hope for the absolute best.  This is just basically coin flipping and hope you can get a streak of luck.  Whoever tells you different is imagining things.

That's what I'm thinking basically, but sometimes you can't help but thinking: "wait, there were no rolls below 30 long time, so there definitely will be one soon" and you start betting on it, even though you know that each roll is separate and doesn't affected by the previous ones. And sometimes you even win doing so  Smiley, but most of the times you lose.
13076  Economy / Reputation / Re: Codishmumu (bad) reputation thread. on: October 04, 2015, 08:48:59 AM
Just went through her posts. Some of them look like somewhat interesting to me. For example this, on homewrecking:

Quote
Yeah but protecting someone else's family isn't  your responsibility.......

It's the person that was in the family's responsibility. They're the one that cheated. You didn't. Sometimes the homewrecker doesn't even know if the person was in a relationship or not, so you really can't blame them.....blame the one that cheated. They should know better. I'm constantly called a homewrecker, just because  a guy in a relationship wants me. That's not my fault. I have never intentionally sabotaged a relationship. The guys seek ME out. I mind my own business, and don't even attempt to flirt back....

Idk maybe that just because I don't watch TV and don't read magazines I'm lacking such things, but I find them entertaining sometimes.
So as long as it stays in Off-Topic I'm okay with that.
13077  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Placing machines outside on cold winter? -20 on: October 04, 2015, 08:09:25 AM
AS long as you keep the air flowing and do not allow water to reach the miner I think you will be fine. This is around February and early march of this year and if I were you I would go for it.

This is the really hard part I forsee.  OP talks about a box outside in -20.   The miner will heat the inside of the box.  I think getting airflow outside without allowing moisture is going to be a really uphill battle.

I honestly hope OP does it as I have not seen it done outside in -20.  But I sure would start off with a cheap miner nothing nicer then a S3 in that box.  I'm afraid moisture will make it the box of death for a miner.

The box might get a li ttle heat, but the idea is to have the fulls fully blowing to get the hot air pushed outside.

I am running one outside atm, and it's 100% cool inside, but the temps are still warm

Can you take some pictures? Is the one outside in a box like you mentioned?

Also what kind of miner did you put out there?

Yes, please. I'd like to see some pictures too. How's your progress?

Quote
but the temps are still warm

You mean the temps outside? So no -20 yet?

Malware? More than likely.

True Love

That is a hoax.
Here is an article on how the word 'hello' started being used.
http://www.nytimes.com/1992/03/05/garden/great-hello-mystery-is-solved.html

Oh, why did you ruin such a nice story man?! I just started thinking that true love is there somewhere. Now I'm depressed.  Cry Cry

 Smiley
anyway there is common knowledge about Bell that he loved a lady.it is her name or not there was love.being a hoax is not a problem

Now I'm feeling better, thanks mate.  Smiley I think that Honoré de Balzac did mean people like them:

"True love is eternal, infinite, and always like itself. It is equal and pure, without violent demonstrations: it is seen with white hairs and is always young in the heart." - Honoré de Balzac [/i]
