What the...
Come on Kohli! Really!!
India could wrap up WI again very easily and could have an inning in hand. :-(

Okay, what could be his explanation here?

Explanation is very simple. Now it is assured that India will win this test match. It doesn't matter whether they win the match with an innings to spare or not. So Kohli is using this opportunity to enhance his batting stats, for himself as well as for the other team members. Let the boys have some fun. They worked really hard in the humid West Indian weather. It is going to be good for the TV broadcasters as well.
13182  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump should raise tariffs to 50% on: August 24, 2019, 04:46:56 PM
Don't forget the fact that the Chinese government owns trillions of USD worth of US treasury bonds (6.9% of all US federal debt). Along with Japan, they are among the top holders of US debt. They will just dump all these bonds if Trump becomes too hostile. In the end, United States will no longer be able to sell their bonds at very low interest rates like 3% and it can have a negative impact on the economy.
13183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 24, 2019, 04:42:21 PM
LOL.. all of a sudden the odds seems to have shifted to England's side. They still need another 222 runs, but at this rate they should be able to achieve it. But if Australia can get either Root or Denly out, then the tables will turn upside down. I am not sure who is going to win this match, but I will tell you one thing. This is the most exciting test match that I have watched so far this year!!
13184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Happened with ETH ? on: August 11, 2019, 11:44:11 AM
Ethereum is the best partner of bitcoin, during 2017 ethereum prices were around 5% of the price of bitcoin. when the bitcoin price is $ 5600 then the ethereum price is $ 280
But why since 2018 until now when bitcoin has reached $ 11 707, ethereum is still $ 227. The ethereum price should be $ 585.
What happened Huh if bitcoin price is $ 20 000 then ethereum price is only $ 600 Roll Eyes

Ethereum prices went up in 2017 by 100x (in USD terms) as a result of the ICOs. The ICOs crashed in 2018, and now ETH is going back to the previous levels. I won't be even surprised if Ethereum ends up near its ICO price (BTC0.0005 per coin). ICOs represented the biggest use of ETH. Without them, ETH is just like any other altcoin.

India are still struggling for the 4th position batsman and don't know why they are busy experimenting with new batsmen instead of going with the experienced batsmen Rahul. If they are going with Iyer, I don't find him a better batsmen.

Rahul was given enough chances, and now they should give some opportunities for younger players such as Sreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. Rahul's performance in the world cup was not up to the mark and in India there is no dearth of young talent to fill the no.4 position. Also, the matches against WI represent an ideal opportunity to test some of the younger players.
13186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin remains the king of Crypto Market? on: July 24, 2019, 06:21:14 PM
There is an old saying in English. It goes like this: "too many cooks spoil the broth".

The same has happened with Altcoins. Before 2016, the altcoins numbered a few hundreds and most of them had enough room and space to grow. Now we have thousands of altcoins and for each niche domain we have dozens if not hundreds of altcoins. In the end, there is unhealthy competition between the alts (on top of the competition from BTC) and none of them gets traction.
13187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 24, 2019, 05:45:12 PM
200 up for Ireland. They are making a decent enough score here, and already they are having a lead of 122 runs with one wicket remaining. A win against England (and that too at the home of cricket) could give a massive boost for Ireland. They don't get these sort of opportunities very often, so they need to make the maximum gain out of this. The Irish needs to stay calm and score as many runs as possible. Even 5-6 runs can make a huge difference in the end.

Congrats to the pool winner.
I'm not satisfied with the Player of the Tournament prize. How can it be Williamson? Shakib better deserves this prize. Isn't it underestimating by ICC? Shit rules.

Whether their performance helped the team to win the matches or not also counts. And I guess that is the reason why Shakib lost it to Williamson. Shakib, despite his individual brilliance was not able to push Bangladesh beyond the group stages. Kane Williamson on the other hand, took New Zealand to the finals. His captaincy was brilliant throughout the tournament and on more than one occasion gave the team a win from the jaws of defeat. Shakib is still young... better luck for him next time.

England needs another 236 runs to win, with 48 overs and 10 wickets remaining. From this point, there is close to 100% probability of England winning the match, and the trophy. Only something stupid from their part can alter the result. My only concern is that both Jason Roy and Johnny Bairstow have started very cautiously... that's not needed. They should play in their natural style.
13191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: July 12, 2019, 03:37:50 AM
Significant win by England. Didn't expect such poor performance from Australia. Smith and Carey had tried their best. It's good to see new winner in the tournament though. England deserves it mostly because they are in best form along with the support of being host country.

This is the advantage with New Zealand. They are the underdogs and everyone takes them lightly. The same thing happened during the first semi-final, and as a result they were able to upset India. Here also, everyone expects England to win the finals and nobody thinks that NZ has a realistic chance. It looks to me that we'll be having another upset on Sunday.
13192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: July 12, 2019, 03:34:05 AM
Well like I said it is a England v New Zealand final which is good for cricket as both these teams have never won a World Cup before so we are going to see a new team win for a change. England would go in favourite as they are playing at home however if New Zealand play at their best I think they can win and make up for the loss in the last World Cup final.

England deserves to win, as they are the second largest market for cricket after India. A win this time would do good for the popularity of cricket in England (currently it is not among the three most popular sports there). On the other hand, in case New Zealand wins, it will be nothing short of a miracle, considering the fact that the total population is only a bit more than 4 million.

I have added the OP to my ignore list. I am not scared of fake news, but the volume has increased by so much that it is very tiring. Some of the Bitcoin news sites might even put Joseph Goebbels to shame. We won't gain anything by posting threads like this. On the other hand, Bitcoiners may become a laughing stock in front of the world.
13194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why I am so frustrated with bitcoin on: July 10, 2019, 04:31:13 AM
I have been crying  Cry for real today, the pain of holding an altcoin while bitcoin is crushing it just got a bit much for me to handle today. Hope for a better day tomorrow.  Sad

There will be no better tomorrow. Gone are the days when useless projects could garner a market capitalization of $100 million, or even $1 billion. The users are more matured and experienced now. Promising projects such as Ethereum and Cardano may attract investments, but worthless ones such as DOGE and Tron are going to die. If you don't want to lose your money, then convert whatever alts you have to either BTC or fiat.
13195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia, Philippines, Indonesia and India support crypto the most on: July 10, 2019, 04:26:07 AM
Another clickbait article. The support is for Blockchain and not for the cryptocurrencies. And both these things are very different from each other. The promotion of Blockchain technology doesn't necessarily mean that cryptocurrencies may get legitimacy. On the other hand, countries such as India are planning to ban cryptocurrencies, as per reliable news reports.
13196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Warren Buffett hate bitcoin? on: July 10, 2019, 04:23:48 AM
The problem is that he missed the ship and now he can't get rich from Bitcoin. Had he benefited from Bitcoin, then he won't be ranting like this. Now his problem is that he don't want to purchase Bitcoin above 10K mark, after missing them in 2012 when the price was 1/1000th of the current levels. Also I read somewhere that old grumpy men are more prone to jealousy.
13197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Court documents are suggesting CSW may control 1.1m BTC. He is planning to sell! on: July 10, 2019, 04:06:36 AM
I think he meant he is going to sell BSV not BTC by the next BSV block reward halving. So I guess sell your BSV for the next 314 days, and if you want to be a dumb ass again, buy back in after the dips. Knowing him he will dump earlier because he has to pay lawyers. XD So dump before he dumps.

Well this is definitely one of the possibilities. He can later claim that BSV is the real Bitcoin. And I think he has already sold a part of his BSV holdings. The trade volumes of BSV has remained quite high, although the exchange rate has fallen by at least 40% during the last four weeks. He might have either converted to USD or BTC.
13198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A completely decentralized world...How will it be? on: July 10, 2019, 03:03:04 AM
A great post.. but unfortunately the things that you have posted will remain as a dream forever. A completely decentralized world may be the best thing to happen for people like you and me. But the government and the welfare rats won't agree. And handing out this much freedom to the ordinary citizen is a nightmare scenario for the governments around the world (including the libertarian regimes such as the one we have in Switzerland).
13199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: July 10, 2019, 02:56:59 AM
I think kyc is important but the problem can cine from scam sites or sites who not have a good security and documents to be shared with 3rd parties, but if huge amount of money are put on a casino if they have a rule to ask kyc they will ask it.

There is only one solution to this. Rather than having all the casinos asking for KYC from their users, we can have a centralized authority which can verify the documents for all the casino users. This will avoid the issue of gamblers having to undergo KYC for dozens of different casinos. Also the chances are low that someone will be able to steal these documents.

India vs England final

True.

England will win it.

It looks very likely. England is in top form right now, and I expect them to defeat Australia. And during the group stages, England was the only team that was able to beat India. Against England, India has around 50% chance of a win. Against any other opponent, they have more than 50%. That said, I personally want England to win. They have never won the CWC till now.
